The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa

Loved the location! Beautiful mountain views! We had Cherie as the wedding coordinator and she was great! We were the first couple to get married at the new outdoor site by the pool/waterfall area. They were very accommodating and did a great job with everything except...... They threw away my boquet (and any flowers that were left) without asking if I wanted it back as well as a big multi-opening frame that I used as my seating chart that I was planning to put wedding photos in later. (Make sure you tell them exactly what you want saved. If not they will throw it away). They did give me a small box of my stuff. Luckily, I also had some bridesmaids grab as much as they could before they took everything away. Moral of the story. Tell them exactly what you want saved or grab it yourself. Also, Cherie said we had the place until morning (which is true) except for when her shift was over -around midnight- another person or coordinator came up to me and ask if he could shut it down around 1-2. I just thought it was weird to shut it down early when we were promised a later time. And yes we still had a lot of people on the dance floor. Overall, I am very pleased with Cherie and the venue. :) I would recommend this venue!!!!

We stayed here the weekend after our wedding and it was perfect. Beautiful facility. Only complaint is the restaurant Poppy's kitchen, it was extremely expensive and the food did not taste very well.

They did not make any effort to acknowledge the bride and groom , lucky to have a room I guess

We had our reception at the Westin La Paloma Country Club and it was amazing. I was apprehensive about having our reception at a resort because I didn't want that hotel ballroom/conference room feel, but I looked in that direction for the convenience of our guests to avoid any drinking and driving. The Westin provided their Country club for our reception, it is located toward the back of the resort so it felt like its own entity. The staff was amazing and our coordinator Donal was so accommodating and easy to work with. We didn't work with a wedding planner and were so pleased with how the Westin contacted all of our vendors, making sure everything was set up and ready to go for the party. Their involvement with our other vendors alone took a huge burden off of my mother and me. Having made and designed my center pieces by myself I was pleased that Donal met with me before the wedding to see exactly how everything was supposed to look and to get a feel for my specific vision. The staff set up the room beautifully the morning of the wedding and it exceeded my expectations, it was perfect. We had a seated dinner, with my husband and I sitting at a sweetheart table. There were two servers assigned to our individual table and they were amazing. The entire staff really made us feel important and we greatly appreciated their attention and service. Most of our guests had traveled from out of state or country and Brandon and I really wanted to highlight the beauty of the desert. The location of the resort and country club did just that. All of our guests raved that the views were gorgeous, the food was delicious and the party was killer, what more could I ask for.... I don't really have any thing negative to say about our experience, I highly recommend considering this site for a small wedding.
