The Westin Riverwalk

We had our daughter's wedding here in February. From beginning to end we received excellent service. We had concerns due to Covid that the food might be minimized, service would be limited, etc. That was not the case. Yojainna (dir. of catering) and Pedro ( dir. of banquets) were great! Excellent communication and went out of their way to ensure we were happy. Only complaint we have is on the front desk. Several guests mentioned they were rude, had no knowledge of the wedding, and in general not great with customer service.

The Westin Riverwalk went above and beyond for us. We had 300 guests with approx. 100 rooms booked under our room block. Because of the size of our wedding and room block, we had high expectations of the Chef, staff, and facilities. Things started off bumpy with our original point of contact. However, the Director of Catering, Yojainna, quickly stepped in to turn things around. Yojainna checked in with us several times a week during the months leading up to our wedding, which we really appreciated, and actually emailed us afterwards while we were on our honeymoon to wish us a good time. And when two of our guests booked a non-refundable rate at another Marriott-brand hotel, Yojainna personally called the other hotel to get our guests a refund so they could book at The Westin Riverwalk under our room block. She accommodated every request we had, without struggle, and even surprised us with additional things like upgraded rooms for our immediate families and welcome signs throughout the hotel from Thurs - Sunday featuring a photo of us from our engagement photo shoot. And while Yojainna was our main point of contact, and therefore the one I know the best, there were so many other amazing staff who went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend incredible. (Big shout out to Pedro!) Our wedding planner was Sweet August Events (Katherine) and our photographer was Philip Thomas.

We had our reception at the Westin Riverwalk and it was unbelievable. Eva and her team were great! The hotel itself is beautiful, but the way they set up our ballroom was amazing. The food was fantastic and the margaritas were so good we had to order extra. Every detail was taken care of for us, so there was nothing to stress about on the day of. They think of everything. They have two ballrooms on the river, which is a great perk, especially with out of town guests. I would highly recommend the Westin for a wedding reception!

We spent our wedding night at The Westin & it was a fantastic night. We were able to check out later & we even got upgraded to a suite. We had a wonderful time even though it was only for one night!! Thank you for the excellent service!!!
