The White Apron

The White Apron was the perfect caterer for our wedding. From the tasting (the experience is very personalized and the food is SO good) to the wedding day, we were extremely pleased with their service. We had multiple people tell us it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Awesome team of people as well!

We had our wedding at their recently opened Milas by The White Apron. The food and staff was phenomenal. Delicious, hot, beautiful, and you definitely do not walk away hungry. The staff were amazing, accommodating, professional, and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough. It was just perfect.

The White Apron was great from start to finish. Planning was easy, the staff at our event was incredible, and we are still getting messages from our guests about how great the food and staff were. We would absolutely recommend working with the White Apron for your next event.

Thrilled that we picked White Apron for our wedding- they did a wonderful job and everyone is still raving about the food. We’re big foodies and love cooking so our expectations were high but White Apron still exceeded them. White Apron worked with us for our welcome dinner and wedding celebration the following day and executed both perfectly. Friday night some guests arrived late and the White Apron were able to bring out the extra food for them. The bartenders were excellent and enthusiastic about our collection of speciality whiskeys that we can picked for the event. Victoria was SO amazing with all the planning, I can’t count how many e-mails and calls we exchanged. She was always so prompt and helpful. White Apron was extremely accommodating to very specific dietary needs for my husband’s family and some additional guests. One guest who is celiac said they never ate so well at any formal event- they were able to make modifications and the food was held to the same standard as the rest of the guests. We appreciated their help in menu selection process, their attention to detail and the kindness of all of their staff. Truly a pleasure to work with your team and thank you for making our wedding so magical!

Amazing food! The White Apron staff is outstanding. The servers are very professional. The servers memorize exactly what each guest ordered and where they are seated so guests receive their proper meal. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious!! All the food for our wedding was perfect. The White Apron does an exceptional job. They were easy to work with from the beginning, our tasting was so much fun and they are always available for questions or changes! On the day of our wedding everything went smoothly and we only heard good things about the food and wait staff. As the bride and groom we ALWAYS has food- they made sure we had a plate of hors d'oeuvres waiting for us in our room when we signed the marriage license, we also had a plate waiting for us during cocktail hour. If you are looking for a catering company in this area I can not recommend them highly enough. They produce delicious, simple and fresh food and are professional to work with. Plus, they really take care of the bride and groom on the day!

I cannot recommend The White Apron enough. The food was absolutely unbelievable. Every single appetizer and entree option was delicious and so many of our guests made it a point to tell us just how delicious it was. I even heard people were asking for seconds! The oyster bar was amazing and the perfect thing for our southern Maine wedding. We had a naked caked that was delicious and they took the exact design I asked for and recreated it. The tasting was at their facility in NH and was so much fun! We knew after that the food would be amazing but it exceeded all expectations. On top of that, the service and coordination were outstanding. Every single person I talked to was so nice and polite and helpful. We had a tray of the apps brought to us during pictures and we were very grateful. As the bride, I was constantly asked if I needed anything and I was so grateful as there was never a dull moment. The bartenders were all amazing as well. So nice and friendly and fast and there was never a line at the bar. Working with the team before the wedding was seamless and enjoyable. I went back and forth so many times on what I wanted and what we could afford, etc. and they were so accommodating, patient and lovely to work with. We truly cannot thank the whole team enough everything. We hope to be able to have another party someday and have The White Apron there!

My daughter got married in early September 2019 at the ViewPoint Hotel in York Maine, which is an outdoor venue. The White Apron is one of their preferred vendors for catering and from everything that we had heard about them, we knew that if we chose TWA as our caterer, we would not have anything to worry about. From day 1, Victoria and Sidney were very easy and pleasant to work with. They guided us throughout the entire process with the utmost patience and professionalism. Since I did not use a wedding planner, I was always emailing Victoria with all kinds of picky little detail questions and she would always find time to help me figure it all out. I can't say enough about how great it was to work with her. We also contracted with them to cater breakfast at our beach cottage the morning following the wedding. Although a much smaller event, Victoria was equally attentive to all of my questions and details. All of our guests have been raving about the food! We knew from the tasting that they do not skimp on their ingredients and the food would be delicious. It did not disappoint. We had 6 passed appetizers and a bistro station of cheeses, nuts, cured meats, etc. all of which were outstanding. Our app choices were the Lobster Canape, Sauteed Shrimp w/orange glaze, Ribeye beef, Saucisson En Croute, Grilled Chicken Skewer, & Potato Pierogi. All were delish! Our main course consisted of a Maine Blueberry Salad, and choice of Braised Short Rib, Roasted Brined Chicken, or Roasted Mushroom Strudel. Everything was served very efficiently, on time and at the right temperature. And, needless to say, it was all delicious. For dessert, we opted to have a small, ceremony cake and a dessert station which worked out great. My son in law is Albanian and baklava is a dessert staple in his family. Although baklava was not an option on their dessert choices, they were very willing to make it for us and did a great job with it. My daughter's wedding day was truly magical and I am very happy that we chose The White Apron to be part of it. Do not hesitate to contract with them for your special events. I am trying to come up with another reason to hire them and work with them again someday!

We hired White Apron after having their food at a friends wedding. It was the first wedding we went to where we legit spent the ENTIRE cocktail hour chasing down waiters because the appetizers were SO delicious and where both my husband and I basically licked our plates clean. We knew then that they would be our caterer at our wedding and they did not disappoint. They worked with our budget without sacrificing quality and they were the best communicators. Our tasting was such a wonderful experience, it was one of the best parts of the whole wedding planning. I can't recommend them enough. The food is delicious, the company is super professional and the staff is so incredibly kind!

From the moment we contacted The White Apron, we knew we were in good hands. They walked us through each step of the process and answered every single question that popped into my head. And there were so many I had, being the first of my siblings to get married. But, the most important thing was the FOOD. It was honestly love at first bite for my, now husband, and I. We love food and this was the #1 thing we cared the most about for our big day. After having a tasting with Chef Jay, we knew they were the right fit for us. Though I had seen plenty of pictures of their displays on social media, I was still completely blown away by how our food stations were displayed. They looked just as good as they had online! And the taste? I really don't think I have enough space here to tell you exactly how amazing and perfect everything tasted. They met our expectations and THEN SOME. To this day, we still have guests talking to us about how amazing the service and food was at our wedding. We are so happy we chose The White Apron to cater our special day.

Jay and Victoria were fantastic. The food was amazing! But more important was their folks attention to every detail. Their staff provided excellent service from the first cocktail to the last (fantastic) cookie!!! It put this FOB at ease throughout an amazing day. We’d use them again and recommend them to anyone!!!

Victoria, Jay and Sydney were fantastic people to work with. They helped make the day of a breeze. Victoria and I emailed A LOT, and she was nothing but pleasant and extremely helpful. The food was the best catered meal I have ever had.

These guys were hands down our favorite vendor. They were so professional, so on the ball, friendly, easy to work with, everything. I can't say enough good things. But the biggest most important thing, their food was INCREDIBLY delicious and their presentation is impeccable. Almost everyone at our wedding, other vendors included, came up to us to tell us how impressive the catering was at our wedding. We also hired them to do our bar service, and they made some incredible cocktails. They were so easy to work with and their communication was steady and helpful. They worked closely with our rental company as well to coordinate everything that was needed. Overall, we were blown away and really would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

All I can say is WOW! The food at my wedding was absolutely amazing! All my guests are still raving about how good everything was. From the presentation to the taste and finally to the staff! Victoria was amazing with coordinating with me and making sure my day went off with a hitch! I cannot say enough great things about The White Apron! I 100% recommend to anyone looking for a caterer in the Seacoast area!!

From the tasting - to the day of, everything Jay Curcio created and and presented was spectacular! Just outstanding. His menu was unique, creative, fresh and inventive. Everyone LOVED the food at our wedding. His staff was wonderful to work, with they were on top of it all. You can tell he has procured a team that truly cares and that so much thought and effort goes into their planning and execution. I couldn't be happier we chose them. We just went out to dinner with a couple from our wedding and they brought up the food again, saying they still talk about great it was. Thank you again team White Apron!

Attended a wedding early November that was catered by The White Apron. Chef Jay is just remarkable. We had braised beef short rib that was absolutely exquisite. My friends and I were in awe over the presentation. Things were perfectly paired for a palette pleasing experience. Their staff was wonderful, they were extremely helpful and friendly to say the least. I whole heartedly recommend them.

The White Apron is a very high end cater and they are priced extremely high, however you do get what you pay for in regards for their delicious food and the way they display their food is beautiful. That being said, the way they conduct business is not so great. We met with them for a tasting, at that tasting they explained how they do things and what is included in the price they give you. After our contract was signed, we found out we were responsible for renting everything for them. Meaning, the only thing they will bring to your wedding is the food. They need you to do rent everything for them to prep and serve the food with. This includes tables for them to work with, a tent for them in case it rains, even down to an oven for them to cook the food in! This is something that should be made clear from the beginning before you sign their contract. The way this was told to us was very sneaky and did not leave a good taste in our mouth. The cost for everything they require you to rent was astronomical. After speaking with many different vendors, no one had ever heard of a catering company not bringing everything they need with them to the wedding venue. Before they can quote you the price, you have to choose what you want for each entrée, but are told it doesn't matter what you pick that you can change that closer to the wedding date if you would like. So that is what we did, we asked to change one of the entrees and was then told it would be an additional cost. We felt there were a lot of hidden things that they were just trying to make money off of us. This caused a lot of additional stress during what is already a stressful time planning your wedding. They will tell you they set up everything very efficiently however, I have pictures from my outside ceremony of them setting up the bistro table so obviously they did not allow enough time to set up. Lastly, my husband walked back in their tent to get an extra piece of cake and walked in on all of their staff helping themselves to our cake. Just to make clear, this cake was not purchased through them this was a separate vendor we had paid for and we did not pay for the staff of the White Apron to eat our cake. We would have appreciated having more leftovers of our cake. If you do choose to go with the White Apron for your wedding, make sure you ask plenty of questions with what they require and their set up process the day of so you are not blind sided like we were. And be prepared to share your cake with them!

My husband and I had white apron cater our wedding this past August and were blown away by their delicious food, service and dedication to every detail. Liz, Jay and Victoria were so welcoming, very responsive and helped make our day special to us. We loved our tasting with Jay and appreciated that he incorporated our culture in the menu. On the day of, the staff was very attentive and our family and friends gave rave reviews. One guest said, "I've been to many weddings this year and this is by FAR the best food I've had! It's delicious!" We are so happy we picked White Apron and that they were part of our big day!

My husband and I were absolutely thrilled we were with how the food and service turned out for our wedding! Victoria's attention and willingness to aid us with whatever we needed in the months leading up to the event and throughout the wedding day were such a great help. She walked through the rentals list with me to make sure everything was correct (it wasn't at first, so thank goodness she took the time to do that!) All of the staff were professional and attentive. Jay's work with the food was outstanding. It was delicious and impressed everyone in attendance. The appetizers were fantastic, and he worked with us to create a personalized appetizer. We are still getting many compliments about the food, with most saying it was the best wedding food they've ever had. This includes some close friends who are event planners in the greater Boston area, who deal with caterers all the time and they said that it was the best catered food they had ever eaten, and that they are jealous that they didn't use White Apron for their own wedding. -Luisa S.

Choosing the White Apron was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning. Food was really important to my husband and me. Having lived and dined in NYC for the past 8 years I would say we have pretty high standards that food be inventive, delicious, fresh, organic, and make you feel great when you eat it. We really didn't want a typical catering spread with your standard bread and butter, steamed veggies, filet etc. and we wanted to keep things straightforward while still being elevated. Jay and the team at White Apron totally got us and what we were looking for — they understood our vision and executed it perfectly in dishes that were delicious and exactly fitting within the theme of our wedding. They were great at giving out-of-the-box suggestions based on years of experience knowing what works well in a catered environment (a braised short rib which fell off the bone and was some of my favorite meat I've ever eaten — not necessarily an experience I expected to have at my wedding!) and also incorporating our ideas (ham biscuits) and turning them into something extra special (sweet potato biscuits, real virginia ham, mustard aioli), so the menu had our own personal stamp with their excellent techniques and flavor combos. The presentation was at once sophisticated and unfussy, which was great for our rustic farm wedding. The guests are still raving about the food and how delicious it was. But beyond that, the whole team and White Apron was wonderful: flexible, friendly, extremely pleasant to work with and SO attentive to every detail. They offered incredible support for the event BEYOND just the food, so you really do get your money's worth and more by hiring them. My cousin generously offered to supply greens from her farm for the salad. We weren't sure if a catering company would be open to that, but they took it an ran with it, completely excited for us and with us every step of the way. Also, how could I forget the initial tasting we did in their commercial kitchen with Jay and the team and our parents, one of the highlights of our wedding planning process? They all brought so much joy and love to our event from start to finish and I would give ten stars if I could!

Ben and Jay were wonderful to work with but more importantly their food is AMAZING. They custom tailor every menu and the food is just outstanding. We went through many different menu versions and they were very patient. All of our guests could not stop raving about the food in the weeks after the wedding. (usually not what people remember!) They were also very aware of drinks levels and knew when the bar needed an emergency restock - very helpful! Overall an incredible job!!!

Jay, Ben, Ed and their staff were a perfect " foodie fit" for our daughters wedding in York , Maine on June 15,2013. We met in January for a tasting ( which was great fun!) and by the end of the lunch Jay knew exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in touch all thru the process tweaking the menu to come up w/ the right combination. Excellent,fresh and tastefully executed! The guests were WOW..ed and special needs diets were pleasantly accommodated. The food was VERY important to both sides of the wedding and The White Apron was not a disappointment. We had a blast and we hope they did , too!

My husband and I got married July 2013 in Maine, and in choosing our vendors The White Apron was repeatedly mentioned as a fantastic caterer. The moment I met with Jay and his staff I knew instantly that this was the direction that we were going. Jay clearly has a passion for what he does, and he KNOWS good food. I come from a family of total foodies and was extremely concerned with the food being inventive and delicious, something a bit out of the ordinary, and not your traditional "wedding menu". Jay was super excited about our ideas and was more than happy to accommodate us in any way. Since the wedding, we have had raves from all of our guests about the food. The service was also fantastic. They were on time with everything. When we ran out of light beer at 9PM (a mistake on my part), Jay went to the store and restocked for us. They were also happy to accommodate our guests with dietary restrictions of all kinds, and created custom meals for them. And to top it off, they are genuinely nice people who want to see you have a successful event. I would recommend The White Apron to anyone!

Everyone commented how tasty our food was and how different it was from other weddingmenus. You can really tell that Jay and the others at White apron has a huge passion for food and they love to experiment. They came up with great ideas of how to incorporate specific flavors we wanted, everything from apetizers to main course was perfectly made and so delicious. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is that it often took them a few days to reply on emails or calls. But they were very accomodating and listned to our wishes in every way and if we didn't know what we wanted exactly they gave us good ideas to consider. They were great and I would really recommend them!
