The White Gown

Harlow - they started the appointment by sitting down and asking questions. It felt like they had a true understanding of what I liked so far vs. didn't like, which made the appointment smooth and productive. They did a great job helping me narrow down, offering advice, and bringing dresses they thought I would like!! They also kept my budget in mind the entire time, ensuring I did not try on anything I couldn't afford. In addition, we had a gorgeous, private, sunlit room. It was clean with plenty of seating (and well air-conditioned!!). I would strongly recommend making an appointment here!

I am SO excited and pleased with the White Gown thus far! My stylist, Harlow, was just beyond THE BEST!!! They knew exactly what I wanted and all of the vibes! I am excited for the journey ahead with The White Gown. Thank you a million times and see you soon!!! Alexis K.

ed to come back when I got engaged myself, and I'm so happy I did. My appointment here was my fourth in two days, so I was feeling a bit frustrated and overwhelmed from all the shopping, but my stylist Vilma was very patient, calm, and professional, and she ultimately helped me find my perfect dress. It wasn't the style I'd initially envisioned for myself, but she knew it would look good on me and I'd feel comfortable in it. Vilma was very lovely to my family and friends there with me, too. I'd recommend going here if you want a really chill boutique shopping experience with a great selection of dresses at various price points, and no intense/pushy sales tactics. Plus, they do all alterations in-house and have a great range of accessories.

t and at the finally fitting when we picked up the dress it was too big and the straps they added looked homemade. We had to fly out in a few days and we didn’t trust them to get it right. We had to scramble for another seamstress when we got to the venue. Fortunately beautiful new stapes were added by our non White Gown seamstress and she was able to take it in so it fit. Spend your money elsewhere NOT White Gown!

ing to be on a very short timeline. While other bridal boutiques told me that my size, style, and budget were not all achievable on my timeline, Laura worked in unique ways to help me to achieve feeling like the bride I always dreamed of on my wedding day. After rescheduling the wedding, and the horrible experiences I had at other bridal boutiques (one of them being most notably known for their television show) ultimately I was incredibly happy to work with Laura and her team. The staff at the White Gown do not care about your budget, nor do they care about your timeline. They care about YOU. They want every bride to feel extra special and celebrated, as it should be, and I am so grateful to them! To all bride-to-be’s, I would HIGHLY recommend booking an appointment at the White Gown! You will not be disappointed.

my consultant and she was so professional, knew exactly what I was looking for and gave me beautiful options to try on, and just made the appointment so much fun. I was torn between 2 dresses and she was so patient and helpful throughout my decision making, and I cannot thank her enough for putting up with me. Although I did not purchase my dress from The White Gown, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out their beautiful shop for your dress.

ibes, music, and energy in this store are so positive, welcoming, and feminine. Emily was a heaven-sent—the most diligent, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuine salesperson I could have asked for. She seemed to understand my vision better than any other person I had worked with at other stores, but was never pushy or convincing. Unlike other stores, the White Gown had almost every dress on the wishlist I curated from their website and Emily had actually gone through it many times beforehand to understand me and my vision. Also, they didn't have an unreasonable fee to try on dresses, and I never felt rushed or pushed into making a decision. Emily and Nella helped me find my dream dress and made the experience one of the best days of my life. I'll forever remember this day, thank you guys so much!

e my wedding) that they are unable to get the dress I ordered. As a panicked bride, I began calling anyone and everyone in the US that carries or could carry Watters gowns. I spoke with Harlow first and he answered all my questions very sweet and matter of fact, which I appreciated given my experience prior. I didn't have too high of hopes until Laura, the manager, called me to let me know she would happily look into options for getting me my dream gown. After many calls and back-end work on her part she was able to locate the dress that I have been obsessing over! + this dress will be well in my hands a month + before my wedding. 100/10 would recommend this salon to EVERYONE. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

super respectful of my smaller budget. I was on a tight timeline (visited the shop in June and was getting married early Dec), but they listened to my worries and reassured me they could and would make that work. They did! They even moved my final fitting with their in-house tailor up a week when I needed it. They gave me great advice on transporting the dress as well. Loved that it was a more boutique, smaller feel and that they had such a fun variety of dresses. Booking appts was easy unlike many other stores!

irst try. Its elegant and timeless, completely original and I really never thought I'd find something like it. I went to a few other appointments but found myself back at the White Gown two months later buying the original dress. It was fate! Love to you Laura!

el so comfortable, listen intently to your likes and dislikes, and are SO knowledgeable about the dresses and their collections. I recommend this boutique to anyone!

mergency appointment and taking an extended lunch break at work, I found the one. A million thank yous to The White Gown for making my experience flawless, seamless, and an absolute party! XO’s Mary

respectful of my budget, unlike other salons I visited). I was helped by Kaliah, who pulled a beautiful dress from a brand I didn't know, but fell in love with. After my appointment, I looked up the brand online and found a different dress that I loved. The White Gown didn't have that dress, but Kaliah worked her magic and got a loaner to the salon so I could try it on. The White Gown really went above and beyond to find me the perfect dress and I am so grateful to them!

le and not super sales-y, which was so nice as I felt as though I was getting a bit pressured to buy a dress earlier in the day (at another salon). Nela listened to exactly what I was looking for and pulled multiple dresses I loved within my budget! The manager Laura was also extremely knowledgeable about the designer I loved and all the different ways the dresses could be customized. I ended up saying yes to the dress at the White Gown and with it being the last salon I visited, it really put the cherry on the cake.

ute dream dress. I would highly recommend the White Gown to anyone and everyone!

. I highly recommend them to everyone!

king opinion. It was very amazing. She found so many dresses that fit the style I wanted. I can’t wait to see my dress at the end of the year and see my grooms face!

wasn't able to find THE DRESS. After searching online for hours and hours, I came upon a dress that I could only find available within driving distance in NYC at The White Gown. I just knew I had to make the drive to see if it was the one. Immediately upon arriving, it was such a welcoming experience. Ansley helped me by finding quite a few dresses for me to try on, and saving the dress I thought I would love for last, which was the perfect way to do it! After no luck in many other stores, I finally got to have the feeling of knowing this was my dress! We celebrated with champagne and now I can't wait for it to arrive! My mom and I knew when we arrived and found a parking spot literally outside the front door that it was a good sign, and it most definitely was!! PS. Parking out front of anywhere in NYC is not normal. I would not go there expecting this, we got very, very lucky!

one had any available dresses that I could come in and buy ASAP. Most salons said they had nothing to offer me. However, when I called The White Gown, I spoke with the manager, Laura, who said "No problem! come on in today, we will find you something". An hour later I was in Laura's capable hands at the salon looking through their sample gowns and cancellation gowns. I ended up finding a brand new dress, in my size, that was available for same day purchase. It was fate! Laura truly saved my wedding day, and I truly felt like the most beautiful bride and was so confident in my dress on the day of. I cannot thank Laura enough for taking the time to work with me at the last minute. The White Gown offers a large selection of gowns, a welcoming environment, and a kind staff. Do yourself a favor and go to The White Gown for your wedding dress!

vision - and then picked out the perfect gown that I ended up buying. The owner, Laura, is equally as fantastic - so friendly, so helpful, so encouraging. They are there to help and put zero pressure on me. Super personal and intimate experience unlike anywhere else I went. Cannot recommend enough!

t back for a second appointment and bought the dress of my dreams. The staff was really helpful and even remembered me! You definitely get a more personal experience here and I never felt like I was just a number. You can tell they really care about their brides. I really enjoyed the more private/laid back atmosphere and would 100% will recommend The White Gown to anyone looking for a wedding dress!

er shop.) Outstanding service and my daughter got a drop-dead gorgeous veil!

n one of the dresses. When she asked why wouldn't I purchase the dress right then and there, it felt like all she cared about was getting me to buy from them. And then she tried to scare me by saying that I had to order the dress ASAP, otherwise it might be discontinued in a few weeks. Meanwhile, they literally got that dress in the store earlier that week, and it was part of the designer's newest collection. I really did not like how pushy the consultant was just to make a sale.

ivate. I was very comfortable, and the woman that helped me was so patient with all the options I decided on. She even gave me her input (i asked) honestly and made me feel like priority. The one on one experience is what i loved most. Of course we celebrated with champagne which was lovely as well! Currently I am waiting for my gown to be shipped, and Laura is the sweetest and most helpful! Due to me being out of state she’s been very accommodating and helpful with communication and order extras for the dress. I cant say enough about this place.. I am so glad I chose to get my gown from this boutique and be helped by these incredible women.

oked at different dresses. They made me and the rest of my shopping crew feel incredibly comfortable which made for a great shopping experience overall - would highly recommend brides shop here!

rtable yet also private to each different party. and the pink champagne was a plus!! ;) thank you thank you!!! <3

great. They were so accommodating and walked me through the entire process carefully. I went to a few other shops and they were no where near as helpful or transparent with pricing and the process. I came here knowing exactly which dress I wanted so my experience was a little different than others. I came here because they had the dress I wanted closer to the color and fabric option I wanted. Even though it wasn't exact, they showed me with multiple dresses on what it would be and even contacted the manufacturer to confirm which colors and material were the ones I needed. Everything worked out perfectly!

tions process when the city shut down in March 2020 for my original May 2020 wedding. Despite starting and stopping the process multiple times and many hurdles I am very happy with my dress! Laura the new owner is absolutely fantastic and was so helpful and accommodating during this process. She is consistent, responsive and very professional. Elizabeth who works in the boutique currently is incredibly sweet and positive. Their new location/ showroom is also super nice. Would highly recommend!

Daniella, was excellent and listened to everything I wanted in a dress. After seeing me in a few gowns, she asked if I would consider trying on strapless because she had one in mind for me. Up until then I had been adamant that I didn't want a strapless dress but I decided to give it a whirl and low and behold, she was right and I knew it was my dress! A few days later, when I changed my mind about the veil I picked, Laura helped me figure out another option even though their cancellation/exchange policy is very explicit. Fantastic team to work with in every way and I can't wait for my dress to come in!

ould give her 10 stars if I could. She had reached out to me before our appointment to see if she could get a feel for what styles I was interested in. With only that little messaging between us, she hit it out of the park with the first dress she bought out for me to try. Great experience overall, I definitely recommend a visit here to find your dream gown.

id not notify me when it arrived, refused to acknowledge it was their mistake and the whole time insisted I pay the FULL amount before they altered the dress to its "original" form. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had them try to restore the dress to its original specifications, which resulted in changes that drastically changed the shape of the dress, effectively destroying it. And yet still, Jacob insisted this dress was worth the full original price. To make matters worse, they LIED and said a new dress could not be rush ordered (claiming they checked with the flagship store), but to my surprise when I went to the flagship store, the rush order was "no problem". This place is absolutely NOT worth the hours of stress and emotional anguish for a few dollars of savings. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY. Truly shocked and flabbergasted at this cheap, unprofessional establishment.

t I walked in, Elizabeth (my consultant) greeted me and was so sweet. I felt that she truly listened to what I was looking for, and she was very conscious to stay within my requested budget (which was not a super high budget so she did a wonderful job). EDUCATED AND DEDICATED: The image for inspiration I showed Elizabeth was something that the store did not have (exactly), but she was able to find options that were SO similar and delivered the same elements I was seeking, and they were even better in some ways. She was so patient with me and let me try on as many as I needed. This showcased to me how well Elizabeth knew the styles the salon had, and that she truly understood the make of a gown. Every time I told her something I liked about a gown, it inspired her to grab another as an option. Ultimately, I really wanted a long sleeved dress, and Elizabeth knew this was a priority - she brought me a gown that was cap sleeved, but could be altered to include sleeves. It had everything else I wanted...When i put it on and she put the fake example sleeve on me to show what it would look like, I immediately knew it was the one. :) GREAT SPACE: The space itself is surprisingly large for a Manhattan store. The inventory is large. They do not overbook, so you truly feel you have their attention and plenty of space for whoever you bring (I had a nice panel of judges - 5 in total haha! And there was plenty of space). Lovely couch seating, and a large fitting room for me. PERSONAL: Elizabeth was so wonderful and truly became part of the journey to find the right gown - she made it a priority and also shared equally in my joy when I celebrated finding the perfect one. The lovely guy at the register who helped me with my deposit was also such a sweetheart and you could tell them were so happy that I was happy. (I regret I did not get his name) Ultimately, after visiting a few salons, at this salon I truly felt that the team was focused on me and took a GENUINE interest in me. It is rare to feel that way at any retailer, and this team overdelivered by far. Thank you Elizabeth & The White Gown team for the best day - looking forward to the rest of my wedding planning with you! -Nicole

wn the kind of dress I wanted. I ended up picking a Hayley Paige dress and can’t say enough good things about this designer! From the beginning, I wanted to pair a bodice from one of her dresses with the skirt of a different dress, and they allowed me to make that switch with a small cost for changing the original design. When the dress arrived, it was absolutely stunning!!! I did have issues with alterations and in the final two weeks before my wedding day, I had to reach out to the Hayley Paige design team to order a new bodice because my original bodice was destroyed in alterations. The designer and The White Gown were so helpful and ended up getting me one and I was able to go to a new seamstress and have it fixed just in time for my big day. Hayley Paige and her entire team truly believe in the magic of love and it comes through not only in her designs, but in how they care for real life brides like myself! I wish I could wear a HP dress every day of my life! I’ve never felt more beautiful! The White Gown stepped up and did the right thing to help me remedy my alterations nightmare and helped me have the dress of my dreams on my wedding day. I highly recommend this boutique but would go to a trusted seamstress that you feel comfortable with.

ualized attention from all of the staff. Elizabeth was extremely receptive to all of my feedback and inspiration, and pulled more than enough dresses for me despite going over the average time for our appointment. I felt like she truly understood was I was looking for and didn't push me into trunk show designer or a high price point gown. While I did not end up getting my dress from The White Gown, I highly recommend the experience and their beautiful selection!

I purposely went during a Hayley Paige trunk show since I knew that’s what I was most interested in. I didn’t plan to purchase my dress the day I went but I got a trunk show discount. I also got the matching veil. I knew all along I wanted something non traditional for my dress, and the Hayley Paige Kellan dress ended up being perfect! However I ordered my dress over a year in advance and there was one day I second guessed my decision. I called the shop crying asking to come try it on again as well as a different dress I had my eye on and they were so nice and accommodating. It was super convenient for me to purchase my dress in the city and be able to have my alterations there as well.

at TWG! Kelsi was amazing in helping me try on different styles while also being mindful and observant of what I liked. Would definitely recommend if you want an intimate and focused experience dress shopping.

adn't been cleaned or vacuumed in months (if not years). The samples on the mannequins were literally black on the bottom because of how dirty it was in there. Sooo happy I wore socks that day - would not have wanted my bare feet touching that floor. The robe they gave me to wear also looked like it hadn't been washed in some time. First thing I did when I went home was take a shower. It's quite a thing to be asking people to spend 4-5k or more in your store and giving them such an unpleasant experience. The selection was pretty limited compared to other stores, so not really sure how they make their money. Do yourself a favor and hit up RK Bridal or Kleinfeld instead - they've got the selection, a clean store, and better customer service.

with great positive energy from all of the ladies working that day. It was a very intimate experience with me being the only bride in the store. No detail was missed. We picked a number of dresses to try but they did such a wonderful job that I took the first dress I tried! Thank you thank you thank you

were close, but also a little adventurous for me (giving me a chance to try something new). It was my first time trying on wedding gowns, and while I ultimately didn't purchase at The White Gown (because I wanted to explore all of my options), I couldn't have been happier as a bride there. This was by far the most intimate bridal salon experience I had, giving me, my sisters, mom, and future MIL our own separate section of the parlor to take our time and soak in each dress. Highly recommend for anyone looking to feel special and heard!

as saying they were not my taste/style. The team tried to put me in the dark back room even though the entire store was empty. She didn’t really help me put the dresses on and didn’t clip me into the dresses well so that I could visualize the dress if it fit properly. After about 45 minutes and about 6 dresses, the associate just ended my appointment saying I’d have to schedule another appointment.

signer I went with definitely was an added plus. I would recommend TWG because of it's comfortable atmosphere, great selection of gowns, accessible price points and welcoming staff.

ng dress and they made it so easy

pful. The salon is beautiful and more pleasant to be in than many of the others I visited.

hased the fourth dress I tried on. I wish the remainder of the experience had been as smooth. They had told me that the dress would arrive in November, by the end of November I hadn't heard a word, so I called to check in. I was met with this response "Your wedding isn't until March 16th" - Incorrect, my wedding was February 22nd. I called again mid-December to check in and was told "oh it has shipped". The dress finally arrived and the manager called to give me the good news. I asked if the belt, straps and buttons had arrived - "we don't have those items listed in your file". I had read horror stories about the alterations online and told the manager I would be going elsewhere for the alterations. She told me to come in, meet the seamstress and she would be with me the whole time. I made an appointment, went in and of course the manager was nowhere to be found. I decided to go ahead with the alterations because it was so conveniently located to my job and I could pop in during my lunch breaks. I put the dress on and the seamstress told me it fit perfectly - it did not, it was far too big on my hips and legs. The belt had arrived, but it was four inches too small. Basically, I left that appointment in floods of tears and my poor mum had to comfort me. I rallied my two friends to come with me for the second appointment. The seamstress pinned the fabric and it seemed to be getting better. The next fitting - the dress had been taken in four inches on the top and now didn't do up... 'Final fitting' - the dress was still too small, but the seamstress assured me it was fine - there was no way I was walking around in a dress like that all night, so she promised to fix it. 'Second Final Fitting' - the dress was still too small, so she had to let it out again. I had rallied one of my friends to come with me again because I'm terrible with confrontation and conflict and needed somebody that would stand up for me. She pulled the manager aside and told her about all of the issues I had had, she had actually tried to call a week before but nobody returned her call (the response was 'we have a new receptionist, she doesn't know how to listen to messages'). My friend asked that they give a small discount on the alterations given how stressful the experience had been. The manager kept saying no and finally said she would speak to management. Less than thirty minutes later, she called me to tell me how devastated the seamstress was with my feedback. I reiterated that my issues weren't only with the seamstress but with the whole process - the belt was ordered way too small - her response was "I wasn't here when you ordered the dress. But I paid for express shipping to replace it" - the buttons weren't added - "we do that in-house for an added cost on alterations" - the dress was taken in by four inches when it didn't need to be I picked up my dress three days before the wedding and the manage wouldn't even acknowledge me or make eye contact. I left with my dress feeling so sad. I wasn't excited to put it on on the wedding day because of the treatment I'd received. All the manager needed to say was "sorry you have experienced this". Instead she shifted the blame and didn't even wish me luck.
