company with quality food, excellent service and fair pricing. We were coming to San Diego to get married from Colorado and they were very accommodating in working with us remotely. They even made a last minute tasting happen when we had a quick trip to the area. When planing our food and beverage menu they were happy to make any requested adjustments including swapping one of the beer options for a preferred N/A selection, and using gluten free bread instead of their normal bread so that all of our guests could enjoy an hors d'oeuvre. We also ordered the "small" 8" hazelnut caramel late wedding cake for the cake cutting and WOW the cake was not only delicious but also very large. The staff at the event were all friendly and helpful and the food was not your typical "bland wedding chicken". We would highly recommend using Wild Thyme for any of your catering needs.

worried about doing stations with our guest count but the lines didn’t seem too long for our guests thanks to the effective service and station layout from Wild Thyme. We got rave reviews about the food from our guests, particularly about the passed apps and the poke (oh and the bread rolls which indeed were unreasonably delicious). Wild Thyme was incredibly accommodating of our choice to serve a pescetarian menu – they have extensive vegetarian and pescetarian selections which don’t seem like just an afterthought, which was really important to us. They also easily accommodated a number of specific dietary restrictions from our guests. Most importantly, we learned after months of wedding planning, they were EXTREMELY flexible with us despite a number of menu and rental changes – even when we felt like we were being a nuisance they never made us feel that way. There are obviously a number of excellent catering choices for weddings in San Diego and I’m sure we could have been happy with any of the other caterers we sampled at a tasting, but the main reason we chose Wild Thyme over other options is because of the kindness and authenticity of people we corresponded with at our tasting (shoutout Lisa), and the comfortable, relaxed feeling we had throughout the whole experience – the exact feeling we hoped to give our guests on our wedding day. They were also competitively priced compared to the other high-end caterers we sampled. We also want to mention the attentiveness of Savannah throughout the later planning process and on our wedding day itself – she caught several important missing items (like the fact that we hadn’t yet rented napkins), offered a number of helpful suggestions regarding the timing of our bread/salad course and layout, and overall was one of the most detail-oriented people we worked with throughout the wedding planning process. We are so grateful!

he wedding date was easy and seamless. We had a lot of questions along the way and Rachel and Jordan were very helpful and responsive.   For the wedding, we did action stations (tacos and pasta) and desserts. The presentation and food were both fantastic! We had multiple guests say it was some of the best wedding food they've ever had.

The menu was a delightful fusion of flavors and cuisines that catered to every palate at our diverse wedding gathering. Our welcome dinner was a traditional pig roast and on our wedding day we featured Cuban, Italian, Chicago and California cuisine stations. The attention to dietary preferences and special requests was not only noted but executed flawlessly. Each dish was a tantalizing experience, leaving our guests raving about the food long after the wedding was over. Wild Thyme also baked our cake and I will be dreaming of that for years to come. The presentation was nothing short of artistry. Every plate was a canvas, with vibrant colors and meticulous arrangements that showcased the culinary expertise of Wild Thyme. The care and precision put into each detail, from the appetizers to the cake, were evident and added a touch of elegance to our reception. Equally impressive was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They were not only professional but also warm, ensuring that every guest felt attended to and special. The seamless coordination and timing in serving each course contributed to the overall smooth flow of our reception, allowing us and our guests to focus on enjoying the evening to the fullest. The value for the exceptional quality of service and food provided was outstanding. Wild Thyme offered top-notch cuisine and service that far exceeded our expectations, and all within a budget that we found incredibly reasonable considering the high standards they maintained.

So we actually forgot to make our 2nd payment (OOPS!) because we completely failed to write down any dates that payments were due, but they were so understanding and flexible with us. They gave us a grace period and even pushed out our 3rd payment so we didn't have to make both payments at the same time. They were also incredibly flexible with us when we had last-minute cancellations after the cut-off date. They let us reduce the plate count for those cancellations and saved us some money, which was awesome. They certainly didn't have to and the cut-off dates were very clear, so we were really thankful for their grace. In addition to being so easy to work with, their food was so delicious. We honestly didn't love everything we tried at the tasting but they were really receptive to our feedback and offered up really good alternatives to the things we didn't like. We ended up loving everything we served at the wedding and were genuinely impressed that everything tasted so good. Usually you can't expect much from wedding food since it's difficult to make everything taste amazing when you're catering to so many people, but they definitely pulled it off and we got a lot of compliments from our guests about the food. They were also so flexible in customizing things for us. We really wanted a boba bar to surprise our guests and they ended up making their own boba and serving it!! We loved all the flavors we tried at the tasting (ube milk tea, passion fruit tea, and mango tea), especially the ube milk tea. They made all of it fresh that morning and again, it was all very impressive. The boba bar was an absolute hit! We also wanted an instant ramen bar as well and they totally ran with that--also a huge hit :) We ended up having a medical emergency right when the reception started and the caterers were so kind and understanding. They offered to box up the meals of people that had to leave for the ER so we could drop their meals off for them at the hospital after the reception. Those guests were so grateful that their meals were saved and they had no idea how hungry they were when we dropped off their food. It was honestly such a pleasure working with everyone at Wild Thyme and we genuinely loved their food so much. You won't regret going with Wild Thyme!

den. Myra, Dawn and The Wild Thyme team were so kind and patient through multiple postponements from the start of planning our wedding in early 2019 to finally celebrating July 3, 2022. In fact, Dawn & the team were kind enough to allow a second tasting after said multiple postponements to include my out of town immediate family, which was incredibly special & the meal blew us all away. As expected, our foodie guests were equally ecstatic with The Wild Thyme offerings on our wedding day. A highlight of the evening for everyone was undoubtedly the raw bar - that will easily be one of the things our day is remembered for. Thank you to Myra, Dawn and The Wild Thyme team for being a part of our special once in a lifetime day!

m did a fantastic job throughout. TWTC was on a short list of catering companies at the San Diego Central Library (which has special rules about how open flames to protect the books housed there). What blew us away entirely was the sincere attention to detail given in crafting our entirely custom menu, which was a place we wanted to showcase our two cultures to our guests. Dawn encouraged us to send over any family recipes her team could try out and even went so far as to try and grow a particular plant whose leaves were hard to get for one of the dishes. We came away wowed after every interaction we had and were very fortunate to have found The Wild Thyme Company! Being huge foodies, all of our guests who know this came with high expectations of our wedding day food. TWTC knocked it out of the park, and all of our guests raved about the braised short rib and seabass entree and the cocktail appetizers that reflected our Vietnamese and Egyptian cultures. If you want a badass catering company, look no further. Hire TWTC for your next event now!

. Working with them on finalizing our menu was a really easy process, and they were familiar with the cuisine and were able to offer suggestions/alternatives that were authentic. Multiple guests told us it was the best food they have had at a wedding. Additionally, their presentation of the food is really beautiful and artistic, and all of the staff they provided at our event were so kind and helpful. My fiance and I, as well as our guests, were truly taken care of by their team. The only reason we gave 4 stars was because we did have a few challenges communicating with their staff before the event. In the end, although they had to make some last minute changes to our menu we were able to get everything figured out - it just took a little more effort on our part. We would still highly recommend them for catering needs, especially if you are looking to do something very unique!

he wedding item we cared about most. We had multiple culinary vendors to have all of our favorites covered, but Wild Thyme really knocked it out the park. They catered our cocktail hour and the selection of mouthwatering hors d'oeuvres had our guest swooning. The poke was amazing, the fresh spring rolls were just ridiculous - SO good, the fig + ricotta crostini was a delightful hit, the ahi taco was addicting (major thank you to the server who so dutifully came to me first every time he refilled a tray and stood there patiently as I cleaned half the tray out saying "I'm not saying no to the bride" when I thanked him profusely, lauding the food), and the chicken bao buns they created for us were excellent. We had multiple guests tell us that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding and others asking us for the "name of the restaurant" so they could visit! Apart from the excellent, creative, and upscale quality of the food (seriously I cannot get our apps out of my head and after writing this review I'm looking into if they offer tiny catering orders/takeout!!), Dawn and team were super easy to work with! The original person handling our contract left the company between the time we booked and when it came closer to our wedding, and she had communicated some things incorrectly, but Dawn and Myra got everything on track and were so accommodating in squeezing us in for a tasting. We had a fantastic experience with Wild Thyme and I hope I get another chance/have another excuse to book them for another event, because once was NOT enough!!! Thank you WT Team!!!

nd grooms don't get to eat at their own wedding, but TWTC staff made sure that we were taken care of! Staff members got food from the buffet and cocktail hours for us, which we so appreciated. Ryan was our catering manager and came to check on us and our wedding party throughout the night. We got a cheese board service for cocktail hour, tray passed apps, and a buffet dinner. The cheese board was so beautiful and beyond what I imagined: They had several rounds of baked brie! I still can't get over how good the pork-belly deviled eggs were. How could I forget! We did a late-night slack with TWTC! We had a delicious pretzel bar, and it was amazing! They were really responsive to our notes from our tasting, and catered our dinner to our exact tastes. It definitely is a catering company that loves what they do, and loves to nerd out about food. We appreciated that they were able to adjust any recipe to serve the dietary restrictions for our guests. For example, it was easy to make the gnocchi vegan, and other dishes gluten free. We also liked how much we could mix and match dishes from several pre-set menus. Communicating with TWTC was excellent. Their prices were comparable to other catering services we looked into. They were responsive to our last-minute adjustments – we added a coffee service three weeks before our wedding. I would have TWTC cater my next big event in a heartbeat!

Not a way to run a business IMO. The food was ok, presentation was nice. Was much better in the tasting than real life but I guess that is expected. Wish we went with someone else :(.

Our only issue was that we somehow ran out of food the night of our wedding, some of our friends and family had relayed to us that they were turned away or told they were only allowed one taco each. Some of our guests (my father included) ended up leaving to get food. We reached out to our rep in hopes they had some more insight into how this happened but they never got back to us.

During venue walk through, the event coordinator from Wild Thyme was on point and had everything planned down to the minute. On our wedding day, The Wild Thyme Company delivered amazing food and service for our guests. We received a lot of compliments on the food from our guests during and after the wedding. The captain also took care of us all night, making sure we were well fed and the food was prepared fresh for us when we had the best chance to eat in between being shuttled around through festivities. I would choose them again to cater other events big and small.

Even the parsnips and spiced carrots got rave reviews! Ryan was our captain, and the entire crew was incredible. Ryan personally attended to us and made sure we had everything we wanted without going through the line. Our 25 year old nephew even commented, "Usually wedding food kinda sucks, but this was so good!" That made us all smile.

ith Gina and her crew. Prior to Gina, we had a crazy amount of concern regarding how our food would turn out. Gina and her crew put our minds at ease and did more than just deliver on their promise. Our guests raved about the food and we couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Wild Thyme. I'd recommend Gina and her team for any occasion and you can expect great things out of this company. 10/10.

vent to be held in New Orleans in May 2020, postponed to October 2020, and then postponed indefinitely due to the pandemic. My son is serving in the US Navy, stationed in San Diego. Military travel restrictions prevented him from domestic travel. So, immediate family & bridal party came to them in San Diego for a smaller ceremony until we can safely celebrate in New Orleans one day. With only about a month lead time to make plans from long distance, my challenge was to choose a caterer. Several were recommended to me and four provided proposals. I poured over reviews & each of their websites. Going with Wild Thyme was one of the best decisions I've ever made! Gina was incredibly patient and supportive as we adjusted her original proposal to fit our budget. She walked me through choosing a menu & services that were appropriate for the vineyard setting of the venue & number of guests. Her assistant, Myra, was available to me the day before & the day of with her resources & support when we were faced with a weather forecast that delivered rare storms to the San Diego area during our outdoor event. This was an event that could not be moved indoors due to COVID restrictions imposed by the local authorities. She located the only available tent in the area, not already rented by restaurants to function during COVID restrictions. Despite the rain & hassle of restrictions, the on-site chef & servers provided a fantastic dinner with high class professionalism. The tables were set beautifully and the food presentation, delivery and quality were impeccable!! Yes, it really does rain in southern California!! But it was all good with smiles all around as we witnessed the union of this sweet couple. Amid all of the chaos in our world and the unprecedented weather, we were blessed to hold this event safely and in beautiful style. Thank you Wild Thyme from the bottom of my heart!!

Wild Thyme’s food was the best wedding food we’ve ever had and even are foodie friends were and still talk about how good it was. chose the WTC after many weeks of reading reviews on all of the major sites. Being from the SF Bay area, we weren't sure what to expect. After we communicated several times in early January 2018 with Jeana, one of the event managers, we knew we had the perfect match!! We knew that the food would be spectacular after we drove down to San Diego for our tasting in August at their business site but we were completely blown away that they could re-create the exact same incredible and sophisticated flavors on-site!!!! The FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! Many of our wedding guests are in the high end food industry and EVERYONE cannot stop talking about how great the food was! Their servers and bartender were just GREAT!! We had the meat and cheese displays to start during the sunset cocktail hour as well as tray passed hors d'oeuvres which included grilled lamp chop lollipop, mini chicken and waffles, grilled beef medallions, ahi poki tostadas, and strawberry burrata crostinis. These were ALL incredible!!! Next, we had a plated meal with either cabernet braised beef short ribs (to DIE for), lemon and herb roasted salmon (so delicate and cooked perfectly), or butternut squash risotto (creamy and delicious). Every single bite was delectable!!! I worked closely with Esther, another WTC event manager who was just amazing to work with!! She was able to meet every one of our asks, and find us the best vendors for rentals that she arranged directly with the WTC so we didn't have to hassle with multiple deliveries and contracts. Esther was able to find everything we needed, down to the vintage dining wear to the dance floor to the light up cubes to the market lighting to the edible flowers for our signature cocktail!! This woman was FANTASTIC!! Communication was free flowing and on time. I seriously can't say enough great things about her and about the WTC. If you want the best, this is the team for you!!!! We are forever grateful to the WTC for making our dreams come true on our special wedding day!! Thank you, Jeana and Esther from the bottom of our hearts!!

I had guests from the luxury hotel industry attend the wedding and all of them are still impressed with Wild Thyme. n our venue's approved list (the Darlington House), we chose TWTC because food was delicious and they have a wide variety of options on the menu with very reasonable prices. Vanna was super thorough and responsive on finalizing all the details with us before the wedding (timeline, layout, rental, etc.) and things went exactly as we planned. They are so professional! Mostly importantly, food was absolutely delicious. Our guests kept saying how good the food was after the wedding. They event set up the raw bar with beautiful decors and it was just impressive! We are so happy that we chose TWTC and was able to work with Vanna and Matthew. Thank you for all your hard work!

The food is delicious and unique, definitely not your typical wedding food. All of our guests were highly complimentary. Finally, the crew on site of waiters, bar tenders and cooks was extremely professional and helpful. They accommodated changes throughout the evening with grace and a smile. We couldn't have been more happy with Wild Thyme!

I have attended another event that they have catered, and the service was fine at that event. On the whole, we were pleased that we chose them to be our wedding day caterers.

e food. We've all been there, the standard meat and potatoes sit down dinner at weddings. We had stations instead of a sit down due to our venue and it was perfect. We changed the menu at least 4 or 5 times and had maybe 3 tastings total. Everything was perfect and so tasty! Jeanna, the main contact, was so nice and helpful throughout the whole process. Everyone was raving about how delicious the food was! I would use Wild Thyme again for my catering needs.

and exciting, and we enjoyed going in for our tasting after designing the menu options for the night. She was quick to respond and was flexible with any changes we decided to make later on. The lobster macaroni and cheese balls were one of our favorites and we definitely recommend them to all of our friends!
