We had our wedding reception at The Woman's Club, and we are so glad we did! Katrina was very organized and detail-oriented while helping us plan our event; her attentiveness and communication made everything super easy for us. The servers, bartenders, and all the other staff were very kind and helpful as well. The food and drinks were catered in-house, and they were delicious! The chefs were very accommodating for our guests who have special dietary needs, as well. The space is beautiful and laid out in a way that allowed plenty of room for dancing and mingling, and there were multiple areas where our guests could relax away from the music and crowd if they preferred. We highly recommend this location for private events!
We had the perfect vintage-modern wedding at The Woman's Club. We received so many compliments on the food, the service, and the beauty of the venue. The architecture, decor, and history of The Woman's Club is incredible. Kyle (the event manager) was very responsive and answered all of my countless questions over the past year and a half. The location is unbeatable; right on Loring Park with skyline and basilica views. We were able to walk across the street to take all of our photos. Many of our guests were from out of town and we felt that we were able to give them a true Minneapolis experience between the menu, the scenery, and the views. We are so happy that we chose to have our wedding at The Woman's Club and are looking forward to returning for brunch/dinner for our anniversary and special events in the future.
Perfectly magical evening. Staff is professional and experienced. Food was outstanding and the venue offers up a lot of options... a rooftop space with a view of downtown Minneapolis, a vintage dining room, a large gathering space that was perfect for our live band and dancing, outdoor covered porches overlooking the park, 2 libraries and a ballroom. We used it all to accommodate our 200 guests. Our guests loved the variety of spaces, loved the food, and made use of the entire club. Don't hesitate to book the Womans Club of Minneapolis for your wedding or corporate events. You won't be sorry.
This is a wonderful venue for a wedding. Spacious yet intimate, beautiful, and at night magical. The open balcony gives you a feel of old old European ambiance. The roof top wonderful for a ceremony with live music.
The library next to the great room was a perfect, quiet respite for those who needed a rest or just wanted to visit with friends and family.
The staff at the Woman’s Club are great. Attentive, ready to take care of any detail and always pleasant. It was so nice to just enjoy my daughter’s wedding knowing they were taking care of all the details.
The wine we selected from their menu was excellent and the food was fresh, flavorful and presented beautifully.
We could not have had a more perfect evening. I recommend this venue with great enthusiasm.
I was so happy that we chose the Women's Club in Minneapolis for our wedding. It was nice to find a place that had great spots for both the ceremony and the reception. We opened up the french doors so that the guests could hang out indoors and outdoors within the main lounge area and it turned out to be such a great location for us.
They have a ton of food options and we ended up going with tables of tapas, appetizers, and desserts for dinner and ended the night with a tator tot bar which the guests loved. The wine and drink selection was great though they could expand their beer options.
The venue itself offers a lot of great photo options and it is right across from Loring Park so that is also a great option for photos.
The only negatives are that the bathrooms are one floor down and the large lounge room with the fireplaces does not have the best acoustics but none of those were deal breakers we were definitely able to work around it.
For what you get for the price this venue can't be beat. I highly recommend!
The good: The Woman's Club is a beautiful venue. It is a reasonable venue, cost-wise. The food is delicious, which is something we were apprehensive about initially, having signed our contract without tasting it. The servers and bartenders where professional and wonderful. The club allows a lot of decor options and are very flexible and accommodating when it comes to this. Our photos turned out incredibly with the architecture and light in the building and the beautiful surrounding neighborhood.
The nitpicky: If you are visually detail oriented, the HVAC vents and EXIT signs in the ballroom might bug you/show up a little oddly in photos, but with some foresight (and maybe some draping, which we did not do), they're easy to plan around.
The opportunities for improvement: We had communication issues throughout the process. This is probably atypical, as they went through multiple staffing changes between when we chose the venue and our wedding, but it caused some additional worry where there didn't need to be. The contract is not very detailed, and doesn't include policies about food or beverage, so it didn't provide a lot of comfort when we weren't sure where we stood. Ultimately Katrina did a good job of reassuring us and working to get our day running smoothly, but it definitely could have been a better experience with communication and documenting decisions in case of a staff transition.
The entire experience was so easy and fun. Jamie helped organize everything and we've gotten so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was. We had both our ceremony and reception here, and the transition was seamless. I can't say enough good things about this venue. AND it didn't destroy our wallets!
If you are looking for a beautiful Victorian venue that you can get ready at and have both ceremony and reception in the same place, this is the place to go! I had so many compliments from just the look of the venue itself to the food, and they are very easy to work with. Almost 100% of my communications were through email and I had no problems asking questions or communicating my thoughts or concerns. This venue is a hidden pearl in Minneapolis that you don't want to miss.
Coppage wedding October 2017
One of the best experiences throughout the entirety of our time spent planning our wedding was working with the team at the Woman’s Club. We worked with Angie Palomo for both the Groom’s Dinner as well as the Ceremony the following day – and she went so far above and beyond the call of duty throughout the 4+ months that we worked together that words can’t do justice to the level of service they deliver. Regardless of the event, the team at the Woman’s club is as exceptional as is the venue itself.
We loved having our reception at the Woman's Club. It is somewhat of a family tradition and it did not disappoint. Great ambiance and service. Working with Tim Welsh to plan the event was so fun and easy. Also was a great value for our money. We wish we could throw the party again.
i loved everything about this venue -- the venue coordinator, the club itself, the food, the location. we had our ceremony and reception here and got so many compliments from the guests.
Because the Woman's Club is so beautifully furnished we did not need to spend a lot of time/money on decorations. It's a very elegant location;PA system does not get very loud so you may want a DJ w/speakers for announcements etc.
