the hotel rooms, to the beautiful (and meticulously landscaped) outdoor ceremony space called the Wedding Gardens, to the fabulous ballroom (it was absolutely breathtaking) and AMAZING food, everything was perfect. Everyone we worked with has been in the business for a very long time so they have the best advice and they have connections to the best florists, room designers, bands, photographers and every other vendor you can imagine. Our guests were completely blown away and six months later keep telling us that our wedding was the best wedding they'll ever attend! The entire Woodlands experience was amazing - the staff went above and beyond to make us feel like the guests of honor. Thank you to the entire staff at The Woodlands for the best day ever!

It was convenient for many of our guests who traveled from out of town. Gail and Joe were extremely organized and professional, every step of the way. We were highly impressed with their attention to detail and ensuring that everything went the way we envisioned. The food was delicious and extra attention was given to guests with dietary restrictions. The pricing was very fair for this area. We received many compliments from family and friends about the picturesque scenery, the food, and the amenities offered on site.

rent rooms for reception to take place. The ceremony site is surrounded by trees, flowers, rocks, and a stream. There is a wooden bridge that leads you from the resort to the ceremony site. This entire area is well-kept for wedding day and makes a great place for photos. There was also a tent that was set up in case of rain which covered the entire wedding party and all the guests in their seats. The tent was clear which still allowed natural light to penetrate the ceremony area. Overall, this is a unique set-up as it provides a very serene, beautiful outdoor vibe but is located in an urban area. For that reason, this venue allows scenic pictures with beautiful landscapes yet is very close to several restaurants, bars, and a casino. After the ceremony, our guests were able to walk over to the deck area for cocktail hour. This deck overlooks the stream and generally provides great sunsets in the Summer months. The ceremony site can also be seen from the deck. It was a great place for everyone to mingle, take pictures, and eat hor d’oeuvres prior to the reception. The staff did a great job both with serving the hor d’oeuvres and bartending as well! The reception took place inside and was only a 2 minute walk from the cocktail hour. The staff at the Woodlands started setting up for the reception a few days in advance. They laid out the dancefloor and set up the tables. They offered a great selection of beer, wine, and liquor during the reception. After the reception, most of the guests went to the deck bar for some more drinks. Others went to the dance club and some were shuttled (by the Woodlands) to the nearby casino. Most of the guests booked rooms at the Woodlands so they had a to simply walk back to their rooms as opposed to driving (or getting a ride) somewhere else. There were a few drawbacks to the hotel itself. Some of the sections of the hotel were a bit outdated and one of the rooms smelled of smoke. Another downside was the check-in time. A lot of guests could not check in until 4pm but the wedding ceremony was at 4:30pm. This made some of the guests feel pretty rushed so that they could be on time. Some were able to get early check-in but not all. Finally, it can be a lot of walking for elderly guests from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. However, the Woodlands was able to provide a wheelchair for assistance.  Overall, this was a really great venue for a wedding. The staff works extremely hard to make sure every detail is perfect. Gail is the main person who ensures everything is planned perfectly and every detail is taken care of. She has been choreographing weddings for several decades so she is very experienced. She is extremely nice, punctual, organized, responsive to emails/messages, and easy to work with overall! Gail, you rock! Joe is the other individual we worked with closely. He helps with the actual set-up for ceremony and reception. He is a very personable individual who ensures everything is set up perfectly on wedding day. Even during the wedding he asked us and our families (on a few occasions) if there was anything we needed. These 2 individuals are some of the best people you can possibly work with to ensure your wedding day is perfect!

whole process and whole day. Besides how incredible the service was, the resort is just a generally great place because everything is on site. If you want to work with an all-star team that knows what they're doing, this is the place.

The food was outstanding and the service was meticulous. I knew from the beginning the Woodlands was my first choice and you exceeded all our expectations! Gails Kapson's guidance throughout this entire year has been priceless. I can honestly say there was never a moment when I was concerned about anything! Gail, Joe and their entire team were considerate and attentive throughout the entire process. I am truly at a loss to convey properly how happy we are. Our guests have been raving since the moment they stepped foot into The Woods. Several of our guests travel all over the world and can't stop talking about how impressed they were by your venue, service and team. And lastly, Gail's suggestions regarding our Brunch menu was spot on! Brunch was fantastic! In the end I think it was the perfect location! The view was awesome! Thanks for arranging the foliage to be at it's peak!! The Woodlands team takes personal pride in their craft and it shows. NEPA is fortunate to have this family owned business in our area! hroughout the whole experience. They listened to my vision and helped personalize the day to my husband and I perfectly. The bridal gardens are completely updated and absolutely stunning. We got so many compliments on the food. People could not stop talking about it. They never seemed annoyed with my emails and phone calls with a thousand questions! I wanted a one stop venue that could hold the ceremony, reception, any after parties and a place that guests could stay If they wished. The Woodlands has it all. We had complimentary parlor rooms to get ready in and a complimentary bridal suite to stay in that night. I never knew half of the scenery even existed there and it’s so perfect for pictures. By the end of the experience I feel like the team has become my family.

I wanted the reception set-up and executed it perfectly! We also had our ceremony there and they just redid the bridal gardens, it’s gorgeous! If you live in the area and are looking for the perfect venue, you would be crazy not to check out the woodlands! Also, got a complimentary bridal suite the night of our wedding! :)

They were the best possible thing that could have happened to us during our wedding planning process. They were patient with all of the questions we had, whether they were small or complex. I could go on and on about this venue and how grateful we are that we went with this venue. HIGHLY,HIHGLY RECOMMENDED!!!! EXCELLET SERVICE!!

ues that were okay, nothing gave me that feeling like “this is the place”. Then my parents and I went to the Woodlands. When we got there, we were greeted by Rick. Rick made us feel very welcomed and comfortable (almost like family) ... he explained every detail to us, every cost, every option, everything and anything we possibly needed or wanted to know about having a reception at the Woodlands. After Rick was done explaining things to us it was a unanimous decision that this is where we were going to celebrate our marriage! Fast forward to a year later (we booked two years in advance). I started working with Gail and Patty to schedule our taste testing (we opted for the sit-down dinner). Both Gail and Patty were fantastic to work with both accommodating and beyond helpful with any questions we had. For our taste test, we could include 6 guests and could pick 6 items off the menu to sample. Let me tell you, the food is phenomenal (especially the Pork Chop)! What is great about the taste test too is you get to try things you perhaps wouldn’t normally think of offering to guests as a food choice (such as the pork chop). On to a few months before the big day…Gail and Patty kept in touch and helped to keep us on track with what we would need from the menu to the drink choices, table numbers, seating for the guests, favors, special accommodations for anyone, etc. They were very well organized which made everything seem effortless and made it stress-free for us…and let me tell you I appreciate that because the last few weeks before the big day can get hectic! Now to the best part, the actual reception – it was incredible…it was more perfect than I could have ever imagined. Every single person who attended is still talking about how wonderful of a time they had. Every single person working that evening : Gail, bar tenders, servers and other staff were beyond accommodating to everyone. I had a very close friend in a wheel chair. Gail made sure there was room for his wheel chair at his assigned table, had someone waiting for him to take him down to the cocktail hour and back-up again to the main floor for dinner. This guest and my family are so incredibly appreciative of how accommodating everyone was, it means a lot. Also before I forget, my husband and I were given a free night stay in their bridal suit the night of the wedding – you want to talk about a gorgeous room….go see for yourself!!! Again, as I said I can go on and on but I promise you if you book your reception or any event at the Woodlands you will be blown away. They go above and beyond to make your experience the absolute best; you will not be disappointed. My family, husband and I want to send a special thank you to Rick, Gail, Patty and the rest of the staff at the Woodlands – you are all incredible individuals and are by the far the best in NEPA! Thank you!!!!

ly loved the venue but the fact that it is a resort so all of our guests were able to stay there and we didn't need to worry about a shuttle. There is a shuttle to The Mohegan Sun which is a neat feature we took advantage of the night of our rehearsal dinner. Any requests that we asked Gail for she was more than happy to accommodate. The cocktail hour was stunning and had a huge window looking out to the creek and bridge which were a perfect scenery for pictures. The reception room had a huge dance floor which was very important to us and the staff even set up our candy buffet. We can't say enough good things about The Woodlands Inn and would recommend this venue to any couple celebrating their big day!

tion, I felt that the rooms were too expensive. Unfortunately, there really isn't another hotel in the areas that would be large enough to fit all the guests. The hotel took my gift bags and gave them to all my guests, which I thought was great. And we also booked our bridal suit there. The bridal suit was amazing- a beautiful room.
