This place is absolutely amazing and beautiful I got married here a few weeks ago the owner was so super helpful with everything and getting set up Would highly recommend this place if your looking for a country / barn type wedding ❤️

Bride here! The venue is lovely. The setting is beautiful, simple, and rustic. The outdoor space is ideal for photos. The event room is spacious even with the bar, keg fridge, and sound room for the sound system. We were able to decorate as we wanted, and the bridal party was able to get ready on-site and the owner was flexible with our itinerary. That is the good part of the review; here are the things that I believe people should know before booking this venue for a wedding: • I had a tough time getting the venue owner to respond to ME specifically, although she replied to my husband rather quickly. This made things a little difficult from a planning standpoint. • The owner was not dressed professionally on the day of; far too casual for a wedding, even if it was outdoor, rustic, with the reception held in a refurbished barn. • The owner brought her children to the venue. They were on scooters, riding bikes in the parking lot when our guests began to arrive. This was a liability and safety issue. o We had to ask that she take her children elsewhere, rather than yelling at our guests to watch for her children. • The contract states that we were going to have a parking attendant, but we did not get that. My guests were greeted by a flustered owner that shouted at several of our guests about where they could not park, without being directed anywhere else. o I witnessed the owner speaking rudely to my makeup artist while she was unloading her car, about where the MUA had parked but the owner did not direct her anywhere else. o There was an incident in which the venue owner went up to my aunt’s car, banged on her window and loudly told her she could not park by the tree line, which is close to the walking path to the gazebo. My aunt is not in good health and cannot walk without assistance. She was not directed to a handicap parking stall, just berated for parking too close to the path. • The get-ready area is upstairs, away from the event space and that was nice. Unfortunately, the restrooms are also located upstairs, in the same area. o We tried to get a few minutes of rest before the reception, but we had so many guests filing up the stairs, accidentally greeting us before our formal entrance. • Wi-Fi, is it included? We had to ask the owner several times for the password to the Wi-Fi and the owner only put it in my phone and would not tell the rest of the wedding party what it was despite being asked. • The sound system is great in theory, as we did not want to pay for a DJ. Unfortunately, the mics kept going out, the volume was difficult to adjust, and the only instructions were labeled “Do not touch.” • We recommend bringing your own device, downloading your playlists in advance as we were not able to use the Wi-Fi, and we also recommend doing a MAJOR sound check beforehand. • The sound system does not reach the gazebo, so if you are looking to have music at the ceremony, bring your own speaker! • The security was a little strange. It felt like someone was lurking rather than patrolling the venue. o While I am aware of the restrooms being upstairs, it did feel like the security guard was following people upstairs. It made some of my guests and family feel uncomfortable. He was doing his job, and there were no incidents. It was just a weird vibe. Reviews were few and far between for this location. This was our experience there and I have read good things, but I don’t think I’ve read an honest review of the place.

Lovely venue, very warm atmosphere, and it helped that the place was already lightly decorated. Jaci was extremely helpful and available! Only thing I would say is I wish the area around the path was a little more groomed, it seems a little unkempt.

We had a lovely wedding ceremony and reception at the Yellow Barn. The facility was very clean and well kept. Our event coordinator was very accommodating and great to work with. Thank you for making our day run smoothly!

We exchanged vows inside The Yellow Barn in December of 2021. Jaci went above and beyond to make sure our small, private, ceremony was everything we wanted it to be. The rustic decor and ambiance The Yellow Barn provided, gave us the perfect wedding. Without hesitation, we highly recommend this place!

We celebrated my husband’s 50 th birthday at yellow barn. All of our friends who were part of the event including us had a great time. We highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it

Such a cute place with beautiful surroundings. I had my daughter's bridal shower at The Yellow Barn. Jaci was so accommodating and helpful answering my detailed questions and allowing me to visit more than once to check on measurements. She has a nice neutral palette inside that worked so well for our theme.

My husband and I had our wedding here in late November! It was a very beautiful location and event space for our big day! It was very stress relieving to have our event in a space that did not need much decorating at all-although we did have some major frustrations while getting things set up and ready right up until our precession for the ceremony. Jaci had double booked the barn on the day of our wedding (which we were not made aware of), so we had high school kids running around the entire venue being irresponsible and rude. They were barging into our changing room while myself and mom and bridesmaids were getting ready, and they were walking and running through the downstairs area where we had people and family setting up for our reception. We expressed our concerns and frustrations to Jaci but nothing changed and we had to spend our time blocking off our areas we paid to have booked for our wedding. The kids were there for their sports photography pictures (which is in a studio up at the top of the barn). The parking lot was literally overflowing with cars from those kids and this didn’t allow for our guests and wedding party to park. We had my husband and his groomsmen get ready at home down the street, so when they arrived they were trying to find a spot to park-but instead of the other people being directed to spots away from our event, Jaci was having them move away from the space they needed to be near allowing the other people to keep filling up the parking by the barn (which we told would be empty for our wedding. We paid for the whole day to be booked for us to be there and the contract stated that we would have the parking spots and the space for ourselves to use. It also was told and stated that someone was to be there to help direct traffic for our party to park in the provided spots in front of the barn. Jaci came through only a couple times to check on the event and change trash-but decided that she could come in with her kids and husband and just take our food that we paid for and provided for our guests and party. This venue was very comfortable for our small wedding and very beautiful but we were not fond of how poorly run the space is or the issues we dealt with and how we had received no care or sympathy in regards to the issues with the photographer and kids running around everywhere.

We had a beautiful experience hosting our son and daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner at The Yellow Barn! Everything was so beautiful and personal. I can’t say enough about our experience!

We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. The owner was very easy to work with and the amenities were very accommodating! Beautiful location!

We've LOVED hosting events at The Yellow Barn and our guests always comment on what a unique, comfortable, and beautiful venue it is! We've hosted our son's birthday party, an anniversary party for my parents, and I've hosted a handful of ladies events there as well. It's always the perfect space for each occasion. Jaci does an amazing job before, during, and after the event - always checking in and being attentive to us and our guests. Her mother, Gina, creates the most gorgeous floral arrangements - always making them custom with the colors and decor you want. We look forward to hosting many more events there in the future!

I have attended multiple events at The Yellow Barn and each have been unique and fabulous. The venue is adorable but also versatile. The owner and staff are friendly and very helpful. I can't say enough great things about this event space.

Having our dress rehearsal dinner/party at the barn and Jacinta has been the best to work with. She has responded to our questions very quickly and has been very acoomodating. Doesn't look like we will have to do a whole lot-we will actually get to enjoy ourselves this time! Jack's mom Gina has given us some great ideas too.

This was the perfect venue for our moderately sized wedding. Jaci was really helpful with planning our wedding. She paid attention to every little detail that we wanted for our wedding and made sure that nothing was out of place. I would recommend the Yellow Barn to anyone looking for place to host their next venue.

The YellowBarn was the perfect venue for hosting our sons 40th birthday. We had a full house and Jaci was a most gracious host. She stayed nearby and assisted with anything we needed. Great family, awesome place!

My husband and I were married in December, 2016 at a courthouse in Colorado; and our original plan was to have a vow renewal ceremony in Colorado around May so that our friends and family could celebrate with us. Then the Army told us we were moving to Georgia. This is when we decided we would have the ceremony and reception close to our hometown of Kansas City; and that's when we found The Yellow Barn. We fell in love with the pictures on theknot.com; and immediately booked a tour. Our original date had to be cancelled but Jaci went out of her way to make sure another tour date was scheduled. My mom took the first tour and sent us pictures and video. When my husband was passing through the area a few weeks later, Jaci graciously opened the barn for a second time (and on short notice) so that he could walk through and see it himself. Then, about a month later, I was in the area and she opened the barn a third time so that I could walk through and see the place for myself. That's when I fell in love with the venue even more. It is intimate, charming, rustic, gorgeous, and very well decorated. The Tenbrink family has done a marvelous job and they have created a beautiful atmosphere. You can tell that they enjoy helping couples create their perfect day. From the day we set up our first tour through the day of the ceremony, both my husband and I lived out of state so our main line of communication with Jaci was through email. We never had to wait longer than 24 hours for a response to any of our questions. She is such a happy person; and you can tell she really wants to exceed the couples expectations for their day. A couple days before the ceremony, Jaci's dad opened the barn for our final walkthrough so we could see the place one more time before our vow renewal and reception. Then came the big day. Everything was perfect. When we got there, Jaci had the chairs set up in the barn for the ceremony; and even helped my family put out the few decorations we had brought. It seems like every time I turned around Jaci was doing something to help the day run as smoothly as possible; and I am very grateful for that! To put it simply, the venue is gorgeous, the owners are amazing; and I simply cannot recommend The Yellow Barn enough!

The Yellow Barn was the first place we visited when looking for a venue for our wedding. After our visit we decided we didn't need to look at any other places and decided to sign a contract a few days later. Jaci was awesome at communicating with us and made the process of our contract super easy. The barn is beautiful and perfect for a small wedding. I can't wait for our ceremony and reception there this fall.

I would love to say I had my wedding here, unfortunately that was not the case. I went through a consultant through the knot and scheduled my tour a few weeks in advance. I was very excited and drove the 45 minutes from my home town to tour the barn. The only person in the building was a photographer (super nice lady-Kelly allen) but no one from the barn ever showed up, or answered any phone calls. So, even though the barn is adorable and fits my theme perfectly, I will not trust them with the biggest day of my life, since they could not be bothered to keep an appointment.

Where do I even start? Words cannot describe how amazing our experience was with the team at The Yellow Barn! First and foremost, they are amazing people and make it all a breeze! Second, the venue is simply stunning (outdoor and indoor) and at a GREAT price! Third, the florals they do are GORGEOUS! I could go on and on....everything about our experience was PERFECT! I hate to sound like the other reviews & would love to come up with something original but everyone is spot on with what they say about this place. The Tenbrink's are just great people. If you can, I highly recommend using Regina for your decor, bouquets, boutonnières, etc. She just knows her stuff & it's one last thing to have to worry about. The Yellow Barn is a gem & if you're looking for a smaller venue that's affordable & so accommodating, you can't go wrong here. Ours ended up being an indoor/outdoor reception with a lot of our guests hanging out outside due to the beautiful September day we were so lucky to have. We got so many compliments about the place & it was fun to do something a little different & non traditional. I want to go back & do it all again!!!!

We had our reception at the Yellow Barn & loved it! The barn is decorated super cute & worked perfectly with our rustic theme. Jaci was wonderful to work with & great at communicating with us. We would highly recommend this venue!

We had our rehearsal dinner here the night before our wedding and it was absolutely perfect! This venue is unique, rustic and gives you a really great ambiance. The venue is so cute and beautiful you don't even need decorations. The staff is incredible to work with! They do not make you feel like you're just another customer, and are super accommodating. I can't wait to have future events here. Definitely recommend!

We had our rehearsal dinner here! It was perfect ❤️ I knew I wanted something private, quiet and intimate for the occasion. We had a large group of family and friends, so I wanted a place were people could easily mingle and not be overwhelmed by a loud restaurant type of environment. The Yellow Barn was so beautiful and provided the most relaxing rehearsal dinner before a busy wedding day. We catered in Oklahoma joes for dinner, had beer and wine at the bar, and even had a place right outside to set up yard games! Jaci was so awesome with my mother-in-law! She visited the barn a few times to plan out decorations, etc before the event. Jaci was so patient with her and helped her any way she could. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! It is truly perfect for a rehearsal dinner!

Our son and his bride held their wedding reception at The Yellow Barn and let me just say it was AMAZING! Everything was perfect from the decor to the service. Jaci was so helpful and accommodating. The yellow barn is beautifully decorated so all we really needed to do was bring in centerpieces and a few personal touches. She was onsite the entire evening making sure we had everything we needed. The venue was complimented almost as much as the wedding couple. If you are able to schedule your event at the Yellow Barn, know that it will be perfection! Thanks Jaci for a fabulous experience.

My daughter was married there last evening. This wasa wonderful venue for a small wedding. Jaci, the event coordinator, was wonderful to work with. She was always more than willing to accommodate any of our requests. She was always quick to respond by phone or email to any questions we came up with. Right before the wedding it just poured down rain and Jaci was figuring alternatives if we couldn't go outside for photos; luckily the weather cleared and we only had to deal with the heat! thank you, Jaci for all you did.

We had our wedding reception on May 30, 2015 at The Yellow Barn! The barn itself was gorgeous and I loved the rustic look! It went perfect with our wedding theme! The owners were extremely nice and very flexible! They helped me plan and coordinate my perfect reception weeks before the actual day and honored many special requests I had asked for! They were great to work with! Also, on location there were many great photo opportunities! Another great perk! I would recommend this venue to everyone I know! It's a great space for anything from a shower to a reception!! Thanks for helping make our day perfect!!!

This gem is the perfect venue for a wedding or any type of small gathering! We had to plan a wedding in a short time frame and it was so easy! The owners are wonderful and so accommodating. I plan events for a living and this was honestly, the best experience I have ever had. The Yellow Barn offers rustic, but updated charm and has so much to offer. The location is close to everything! Thanks for a great day. My daughter's wedding was so charming and memorable. I would rate this 10 stars if I could!
