Haley obtained her bachelor’s degree in hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meetings & Event Management and a minor in business from Grand Valley State University in April 2023. She brings a variety of hospitality experiences to the team, including working at Watermark Country Club in 2022, where she provided exceptional service to members and groups at various events. Haley has also served in different roles for RedWater and was most recently a client services assistant for Conference and Event Planning at Grand Valley State University.
Outside of work, Haley enjoys cooking, traveling to new places, fitness, and experiencing downtown Grand Rapids.

Sarah began her career in event planning while attending Kuyper College, working at a nearby ski resort. Her passion for the food and beverage industry persisted, leading her to spend the next two decades working in both food and beverage and event planning roles, including a decade-long tenure at Boatwerks Restaurant. In January of 2023, she joined Watermark’s team as an Event Sales Manager.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys visiting her children, who are stationed in different states, traveling, boating, camping, and practicing her golf skills.

Excellent venue for a Rehearsal Dinner! We had 30 people and used the banquet facilities. We had a bar and an Italian food buffet. Everything was perfect! Staff was professional, courteous, efficient and amazing! Thank you!

My husband and I had our first wedding reception on 8/30/25 at Thousand Oaks. It was fabulous!! The food was great (would highly recommend the chicken parm, everyone loved it), the space accommodated everyone easily, and the staff was awesome!

We are so glad we booked our wedding at Thousand Oaks! When touring the place I was so impressed with the beautiful drive in and how clean everything was! Haley made the whole planning process so easy and she had great communication that made everything smooth and exactly what we wanted! We planned for our ceremony to be inside since our wedding was in July and loved having a private family ceremony in the Oak Leaf Lounge upstairs, taking pictures, and then having everyone join us for the ceremony downstairs. We were able to get ready in the locker rooms and had a fantastic lunch provided by them. Diane was so incredibly kind and attentive through the whole day while we got ready and while the night went on. The whole staff was professional and friendly and so many family/friends have complimented how awesome they were! I would highly recommend having events/weddings at Thousand Oaks!

From the moment we toured Thousand Oaks for our May 2025 wedding, we knew it was something special—but nothing could have prepared us for just how extraordinary our experience would be. This venue didn’t just host our wedding, it brought our vision to life with care, grace, and professionalism that went above and beyond at every step.
Throughout the planning process, Haley, the Event Sales Manager, was a dream to work with. Her eye for detail, calm demeanor, and sincere dedication to making our day perfect were truly unmatched. She guided us through decisions big and small with expertise and thoughtfulness, and we always felt like we were in the best hands.
Diane, the Facilities Manager, and her day-of team were equally phenomenal. Their coordination, attention to timing, and genuine kindness ensured every moment of our wedding day flowed seamlessly. From setup to the last dance, everything was smooth, stress-free, and full of joy—thanks to their behind-the-scenes mastery.
We hosted multiple events across several of the Thousand Oaks spaces, and each location added its own unique charm. The Oak Leaf Lodge was the perfect, cozy setting for our rehearsal dinner and offered a peaceful bridal suite for getting ready. The ceremony space felt magical—lush and intimate—and flowed beautifully into cocktail hour on Reds’ lower patio, where guests mingled overlooking the grounds. Our reception in the Grand Ballroom was elegant and lively, with plenty of space for dining, dancing, and unforgettable memories. The Gold Simulation Building offered us a great space for the groom to get ready in comfort and style.
The catering team knocked it out of the park—every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Guests are still talking about the food! Beyond the beautiful setting and flawless logistics, what made Thousand Oaks truly shine was the people. Every member of the team—from the front office to the servers—treated us and our guests with warmth and genuine care.

We just had our wedding day at Thousand Oaks and it was magical!
We got ready around noon in the locker rooms
Our ceremony was outside at 4:30pm and just perfect.
Our cocktail reception was at the outdoor fire pits and dinner/dancing upstairs at the Oak Leaf Lounge. Guest count 55.
The room was the perfect size for our event!
All of our wedding ceremony pictures turned out gorgeous. The OLL was private and had everything we needed. Staff was amazing. Food & dessert were amazing and all of our guests agreed.
Haley and Diane were exceptional at helping us make sure our wedding went smoothly for our guests.
Highly recommend Thousand Oaks!

We recently had an event in the Oak Arbor Room. Every staff member was not only professional, but also kind. The food was amazing and the venue was perfect. We had about 50 people and the set up was just what we needed. Haley was very helpful in that department. Highly recommended.

We have used this event center three times now, and each time we have been blown away by their service. They are attentive and very willing to navigate through changes, even when it is last minute.
On the day of the event, while setting up, we had three people there willing to answer questions and change or add anything that we needed! The food and environment were phenomenal.

My husband & I hosted our son's rehearsal dinner in the Oak Leaf Lounge at Thousand Oaks. It could not have been a better choice! We're not from the area, and the event manager was incredibly helpful as I planned the event from afar. The venue is stunning - photos don't do it justice! The Oak Leaf Lounge overlooks the beautiful golf course with a spacious balcony that many of our guests (37 attended) enjoyed before & after dinner. Every detail was handled to perfection and the food was delicious. Loved having our own private space with bar/bartender and plenty of room for place card table and appetizer & dessert station. We chose a plated meal and the service was impeccable, with food coming out on time and hot. Our guests loved the salmon and the pesto chicken! I would host another event here in a heartbeat.

I had my daughter’s bridal shower at Thousand Oaks in the Oak Leaf lounge. We had 30 attendees but it could easily accommodate 50-60. The food was delicious (basil pesto chicken, herb roasted potatoes, broccolini, Mac&chs and garden salad.) Everything was cooked to perfection and beautiful presentation. The staff was very organized, efficient and friendly.
We had a lemon theme bridal shower, so I had yellow napkins and brought lemon table runners and did pitchers with fresh lemon for centerpieces.
Jillissa Dolly was my event coordinator and she did a wonderful with communication and helping me organize the event

The wedding coordinator was awesome and easy to work with. Our food was excellent! Draw backs were it was so nice on the patio none of our guests wanted to be inside on the dance floor, you cannot take extra food home, and they ran out of some of our drink selections 2 hours before the bar closed. Overall would recommend this venue!

Jillissa was super helpful, kind and transparent when it came to what was needed to be purchased on our end for the venue, and through Thousand Oaks. We had a great evening for our wedding reception through Thousand Oaks, the setting was beautiful for it, it had plenty of indoor and outdoor space which allowed for an intimate setting for dinner and the first dances, cake cutting, etc... but also allowed for outdoor seating throughout the night so our guests could spread out and choose to either be on the dance floor or enjoy the Michigan summer evening. Really thankful for the help and assistance Thousand Oaks and Jillissa provided, and would certainly recommended the venue.

We had a wonderful experience with Thousand Oaks for our son's rehearsal dinner! The staff was very attentive and interacted wonderfully with our guests, especially the bartender. He went above and beyond to make the event enjoyable for all. The food was amazing and the view from the private balcony in the Oak Leaf Lounge was spectacular. Our event manager, Jillissa was very attentive and quick to answer any questions I had before and after our event. I highly recommend Thousand Oaks for a stress-free event.

We celebrated our wedding reception at Red's at Thousand Oaks on June 22, 2023. We opted for a Thursday night reception so we participated in the All-Inclusive package, which for the small number of guests we had I would do that all over again.
Jillissa was our event planner and from the moment we showed interest in the venue, she was there to answer my thousand questions, walk us through the process and make sure the day went smoothly. The venue itself was beautiful, the food was wonderful and our day went as planned.
I would highly recommend this venue.

We held our school junior/senior banquet at Thousand Oaks for the second year in a row. The facility is beautiful - windows overlook the golf course - and we were also able to get some great pictures outside. Jillissa was just great to work with as she was very prompt in responding to all emails and followed through on all of our requests. The food was outstanding and we had so many compliments on it. Definitely recommend and hope to be back!

We hosted a bridal shower at the Birch Room at TOGC. Overall a good experience. They offer a large catering menu and the food was good. The staff could have been a little more attentive clearing tables. I would recommend them for a future event.

The sales manager, banquet manager and staff were all very courteous, responsive to our needs, and easy to work with! The taco buffet and desserts were tasty. The facility is not extravagant, but is nice and clean. We appreciated having parking directors and golf carts for transport available as we arrived and departed. One exit made it slow for our large group to leave the property.

If you're looking to host a smaller event (shower) this is the place! The setting is very nice and quiet and the service is great! We had alot of questions and requests and they were very polite and patient with us! The food is great and the mimosa bar was a hit with our group!

The food here is amazing don't get me wrong, but our event coordinator was less than amazing. She had no passion for her job or in helping us. She also was very unmotivated to be knowledgeable about her job, answering every question we asked with "I don't knows". She did not help us create a table layout and made us. She had over 20 mistakes on our banquet event order form, which she only showed me because I asked. The mistakes weren't spelling, they were incorrect guest counts, wrong liquors, wrong meals, etc. I was very disappointed with the quality of her performance.

Denise was amazing! She was quick to respond to my questions and extremely accommodating for every request I threw at her. We reserved the Grand Oaks room which had a back deck that we were also able to use. The guests loved it, and so did we! Another perk is that all of the food is made in house so you don’t have to mess with additional coordination (and it’s so yummy!). I would book this venue again in a heartbeat!

Could not have picked a better ceremony/reception venue! It was very reasonably priced and absolutely beautiful. Nicole, the event coordinator, and all staff were super great to work with and made sure everything was perfect for our big day. We have gotten so many compliments on how pretty everything was, how good the food was, and how awesome the drinks were 😊 I recommend Thousand Oaks to any bride and groom who are looking for a beautiful venue that has just about everything included! We got ready in the locker rooms there-drank mimosas and ate breakfast and lunch. There were so many gorgeous locations on site to take pictures and the wrap around deck was awesome for guests to mingle and enjoy a drink on! LOVED THOUSAND OAKS!

Thousand Oaks Golf Club was simply the best venue!! Our reception was held there on July 30th, 2016. We were beyond impressed with the service and coordinating they did! They worked well with my Day of Events Coordinator Carrie Silverthorne. Our guests were so happy with the service of the food and drinks! The food was amazing and we were so excited about how the day went! The venue is simply gorgeous too! Thank you for all your hard work and making our day so memorable!

Nicole helped me plan my reception in 3 weeks! My other reception place fell through and Nicole was willing to make it all happen mostly in the 2 days before I left on vacation, which was 3 weeks before the wedding. Great food and they were very flexible, letting us set up lawn games and also have a friend make our desserts. Overall, very great reception and helpful staff.

Thousand Oaks and the staff went above and beyond the make my visions for our wedding day a reality. It was everything that I dreamed it would be! The event coordinator made sure no stone was left unturned, the staff that day set up perfectly, the food is AMAZING, and all the guests loved that the ceremony and reception were at the same location. Overall, we were very happy with Thousand Oaks Golf Club as our venue. The newly remodeled Grand Oaks ballroom was definitely the selling point for us. Large room, beautiful foyer, lots of space and multiple bar areas made everyone feel very comfortable.
Service was not bad, there were a few people who ended up getting served incorrect meals but that was the only concern.
Food was quite good, some prime rib dinners were inconsistent on temperature. We had the baker do the cake as well. It was very good and we received many compliments on it!
Overall, very pleased. The coordinators were easy to contact and helped plan everything out.

We had our wedding reception at Thousand Oaks and could not have been happier with the venue! The staff was exceptional - the wedding coordinator Nicole is fantastic and highly organized. We also utilized the locker rooms for getting ready and the space was perfect. The food was decent for a country club, albeit it was better at the tasting than the night of the wedding. Bar packages are fairly reasonable compared to other venues and they were able to order us special craft beer to offer our guests which was a huge bonus. Event space is beautiful and our pictures turned out amazing! Highly recommend!
