Food was delicious, extremely professional and kind. Absolutely no issues, and one of the caterers was one of our favorite guests!!
We absolutely adored working with Three Tomatos Catering! From our tasting, which was a private and elegant experience to our reception catering. Three Tomatos did a beautiful job securing the necessary rentals for the event, getting things set up as requested, providing all linens and clean up services. The food was just as tasty as it was on our tasting day. All the guest raved about how yummy the food was and how they enjoyed the experience in working with the Three Tomatotes Staff. We appreciate Jaqueline and her staff for everything they did to make sure our food needs were taken care of. If you are looking for a vendor, we highly recommend working with this team. They are affordable, you are in control of booking and all numbers. They are there to walk you through and assist. For the amount of food you receive and the price you pay, definitely work it! We will work with Three Tomatos again!
Three Tomatoes catered our wedding of ~100 and did a phenomenal job. Three Tomatoes not only made accomidations for all dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten free, soy free), they did so while keeping extraodinary quality and everything was so delicious. On top of their professionalism and excellent communication, they kept everything so organized and made our lives (which were chaotic from wedding planning) so much easier. We predominantly worked with Jacqueline, but everyone at three tomatoes has our gratitude and recommendation for life. 10/5 stars. If you're considering them, do it.
We had a wonderful experience with three tomatos. I know they have a lot of mixed reviews so I reached out to them personally to give them a chance to address my concerns. These concerns turned out to be nothing at all and they went above and beyond everything we could have expected. Not only was the food delicious but their service was incredible. We went with the buffet option but they went out of their way to serve myself and my husband as well as some of our disabled guests. One of our guest spilled red sauce on her beige coat and they spent the time to wipe the stain before it set. They did so many small things that really blew us away and made the experience great!
I personally had a poor experience with this caterer for my wedding. They didn’t bring any utensils for serving or a way to keep food hot. They also came way too early so was scrambling to keep food warm. Also had an issue with appetizers - amount I thought would be provided was misleading especially for the cost. Also - the food was not a hit. Wouldn’t recommend.
We used Three Tomatoes Catering for our August 2022 wedding and overall had a positive experience! They had a great menu selection, and accommodated a private tasting session where they helped us put together our menu. They were thorough in their notes and planning, and helped us work out details that we hadn't previously considered. Day of, the food was fantastic and we got lots of compliments from our guests! There were only two issues we had that are worth mentioning. First, they messed up our vegan option for lunch and served the "vegan" option with cow-based cheese. And second, the lead for the evening referred to myself and my wife as "the bride in groom" in front of guests multiple times, despite us being a same-sex couple; it made us and our guests quite uncomfortable. Despite these issues, we were overall happy to have chosen Three Tomatoes and would use them for catering needs again in the future!
I attended a wedding recently that was catered by Three Tomatoes and I cannot discourage the use of this company enough.
I’ve come to review the company to find many complaints of the same – they ran out of food. One would hope that if this instance had happened once, maybe even twice that it is a mistake and the company would take it seriously enough to correct their ratios. However, it’s clear that more time is spent responding to negative google reviews telling reviewers they are incorrect in their experience.
Beyond the lack of food, the lack of professionalism within this company runs much deeper. The bride and groom have tried to work with the company to receive compensation as one would had 30+ people at an event not received food. However, they have been met with management that gaslit them, suggested that they are lying, as well as suggested legal action if negative reviews were written around this event.
My hope is that you have the best experience with your upcoming wedding possible and not hire Three Tomatoes Catering.
Food is mediocre. Ownership is horrific to deal with.
Three Tomatoes provided food service for my sisters wedding. As the maid of honor, I was one of the first tables (table #2) to get called up to the buffet, which was a taco bar. I would say at most 15 people (out of over 100) had been up to the buffet at that point. They had already run out of food. I was told by one of the staff that they only brought one tray of the vegetarian option by mistake. They ran out of the majority of the food items before the last 5 tables were able to be served, which meant a large portion of the guests were served only rice, beans and tortilla chips.
It goes without saying how unacceptable this is, but these things happen. What I wasn’t expecting was the response from the owner. My sister called me in tears more than once after interacting with Ricardo. The level of gas lighting and victim blaming was off the charts. After dragging the newly weds through the mud, they were offered a small refund - but only if they signed a settlement agreement saying that they would not post negative reviews or have others post negative reviews.
They decided not to take the small sum of money in hopes that their review will help a future couple avoid the headache they’ve endured.
Our experience with Three Tomatoes has been unreal in the most horrendous of ways. When they RAN OUT OF FOOD at our wedding, we figured that would be the low point of our experience with them, however their response when we requested a partial refund was when we were truly shocked how much they do not care about their customers. We overestimated the number of guests that would attend our wedding so the agreed upon guest count was higher than the amount that attended and they still ran out of food for at least quarter of the tables with some options running out sooner. Understandably frustrated, we reached out to the company in hopes that Three Tomatoes would acknowledge their mistake and give them an opportunity to make it right. After a handful of email exchanges asking for proper compensation for their error, they did refund a very small fraction of the initial refund request but were not willing to refund the service and rental fees for the guests that did not get a full meal. After a call with the owner, we came to an agreement that an additional refund offer would be extended. While still not what we thought was reasonable, we agreed to review the offer. Upon reviewing the settlement agreement attached to the offer, we noticed a clause was written into the offer that stated if we were to be refunded, we would agree to not write a negative review of Three Tomatoes. We immediately rejected this offer as we can’t imagine someone else going through this same experience. We have NEVER worked with a company that has such poor customer service. Throughout the experience the messaging to us was that these types of things happen, but it would appear it’s a much more common experience with Three Tomatoes. We cannot emphasize how much we DISCOURAGE you from hiring Three Tomatoes to cater what is already one of the most important days of your lives.
Disappointed in this vendor pick. My tasting was phenomenal and beautiful. The day of execution was poor. Owner is a passionate guy and I know they can do great work but that is not what I received at all. I understand there is a staff shortage—many of my problems stemmed from going through too many account managers (they all left the company). No one was on top of my wedding organization and there were several things that slipped through the cracks (no garnish/no sauce/bad presentation of food, rude to my father needing champagne to toast bride/groom, very rude to my day of coordinator (refused to talk to her), didn’t pass wine we paid for, etc) I hope that my wedding was an isolated incident and that future brides have much better experiences.. but I do feel compelled to share that I would not choose 3T to do my wedding if I could go back and change it.
The food was phenomenal and I told them from the start that I wanted to be able to eat at my own wedding, which they met my standards! The reason for 3 stars was a few missing pieces of communication... When our coordinator no longer worked there, I had to be the person to reach out as I had not received any communication. Then the day of coordinator that we used through them changed a week before our wedding, BUT the coordinator we ended up with, Katy, was AMAZING. She was a rockstar the whole day and I felt like everything ran smooth because of her. I was also frustrated throughout the process with the number of payments we had to make... We ended up making close to FIVE separate payments, including the morning of OUR WEDDING. I get an emergent text from our day of coordinator saying we owed money, when this was never addressed in the MONTHS BEFORE. We actually had numbers drop and still had to pay more, which was not clear.
Three Tomatoes Catering was a great decision for our buffet style reception. The food was delicious and people kept going back for seconds. Our passed hor d’oeuvres we’re awesome too. The only complaint we had was the amount of coordinators we worked with. We had a total of three, but were never notified of the change, which was very frustrating when trying to get a hold of our point of contact. On the day of the walk through, the last coordinator asked us questions about linen & pipe+drape that had already been discussed AND applied to our contract during our tasting. Thankfully, my wedding coordinator was able to iron everything out. Aside from that, we enjoyed using Three Tomatoes Catering on our big day. All of the waiters and cooks were very kind, professional and attentive.
Three Tomatoes catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Everything tasted just as good the day-of as it did at our tastings. We loved that Three Tomatoes was able to create custom dishes and appetizers for us. The food is absolutely amazing and was a huge hit with all of our guests!
The food on wedding day was excellent and we received many compliments. However, everything leading up to that was a cluster. We went through 3 different coordinators throughout our process with them and we were not always told when it was changed. Trying to get a hold of someone is nearly impossible. Thank god our wedding planner double checked the linen rentals because Three Tomatoes forgot to order our linens. We had to get a refund (which we are still waiting on) for the rentals through Three Tomatoes and go directly to the rental company (which would have been fine if that was the original plan, but Three Tomatoes was supposed to take care of it). The lack of communication is infuriating. No one responds to emails and the phone numbers all have full voicemails. At our final walkthrough it seemed like the coordinator didn't really have much time for us. Overall I would not recommend this company for catering.
Worst catering I've ever experienced at a wedding. I attended a wedding catered by Three Tomatoes last month - and they single handedly ruined the experience for everyone involved. Not only was the food over an hour late, but they ran out of food for the last four tables! By the end they were just giving people plates of cold undercooked meat. A company like Three Tomatoes should not be trusted with one of the most important days of your life in my opinion.
I was at a wedding catered by Three Tomatoes recently. The servers seemed like they were trying hard, but were extremely understaffed and unprepared for the evening. Our food came out very late and then they ran out of food for the last few tables. They didn’t put the cake out like they were supposed to, didn’t serve the guests champagne as planned, only had one bartender holding down the bar all night, etc. I know that the bride took so much time planning and trying to communicate with them ahead of time and they still dropped the ball on so many things. I would not recommend them for something as special as your wedding day, especially if you have a larger wedding.
We made the mistake of hiring 3 tomatoes for our wedding. Leading up to the big day they couldn’t get my invoice right so I had to correct them multiple times. Then at the wedding they showed up extremely short staffed and that’s when everything truly fell apart. They brought dinner out extremely late and everyone’s meal was cold. They didn’t fill anyone’s champagne or water glasses, even the head table. This was of course after they ruined most of my champagne from leaving it sit out. They didn’t put the sauce on the steak, didn’t have the kids meals I ordered, or the vegetarian option and then out of all things RAN OUT OF FOOD. They were serving 2.5 full tables of barely cooked meat hunks with no sides that guests didn’t feel comfortable eating. They sent 1 bartender for a 130 person wedding of heavy drinkers which I told the coordinator Jodi beforehand. She didn’t care though because she wasn’t there that night. The bartender ran out of ice and tonic which were both supplied by them so he had to leave for over an hour to go get some, leaving our bar unattended. These are just a few of the many embarrassing mistakes that happened that night. They did end up refunding us around 50% but it didn’t make up for how poorly the night went. Do yourself a favor and go with another company!
If we could re-do our wedding, we would go with a different caterer. Our food was really cold, and being the bride and groom you would have thought we would of received a hot meal. They also provided meals that were not originally selected from our tasting. What was served was something that we had never tried. It was a disappointment as we were so excited. To top it off, they also forgot to bring enough meals for the vendors.
The turn over is high and it is very difficult to receive any communication from them.
I would recommend not using them for your wedding day.
I will save you brides some time and say TTC is not even worth requesting a quote from. It is very clear that this company does not care about the needs/wants of their clients. They are very hands-off, schemey, really try not to be up front with information, and their communication skills are some of the worst I have encountered while wedding planning. When speaking on the phone with them, the agent kept interrupting me as I was trying to ask questions. I almost told her to just shut up and listen because I had to ask every question more than once since she wrongly assumed she knew what I was asking and could cut me off to answer.
In addition, I emailed them to try to get a custom proposal including a promotion they were supposedly running in July. The first email took 2 weeks to respond, and when she (a different agent than the one on the phone) finally did, they told me to just go online and put everything I wanted in my cart to get an estimate.
There are two problems with this that mean your "estimate" is nowhere near accurate:
1.) They advertise time and time again they customize menus, but they couldn't take the time to create the custom proposal that should go along with it. My fiance and I wanted a dessert that wasn't on their menu, but they told me they could do anything we wanted, even if it wasn't listed. But they don't tell you how much it costs for that item. And they wouldn't tell me when I asked, so it is intentionally I hidden cost.
2. They wouldn't tell me what the promotion was (even though I specifically asked about it in my first email, that question was just ignored). I replied on JULY 13, asking one single question - what promotional discount they were running. I have heard nothing back, despite sending a follow up. It is now August 1st.
In the month that I have gotten almost no communication from TTC, I have received very many timely responses, and detailed, itemized proposals from other catering companies, who are very up front with what different items cost. I am thankful TTC showed their true colors before I booked the, and luckily I was able to sign with someone else. I truly pity any bride who has to work with the unprofessional staff at TTC.
Honestly if I could go back and redo my wedding I would not choose this vendor. 1. They did not have enough food for our guests even after giving them a final guest count. 2. The food was cold. 3. They change staff so much it is hard to get ahold of anyone. They do not inform you when the person you are working with leaves. We after all was said and done worked with 3 different people as our point of contact. I would not recommend them.
I absolutely loved working with Three Tomatoes! From the tasting to the execution everything was fantastic. The company overall was accommodating and flexible when we had to push our wedding date back 9 months due to COVID. They did not charge us extra, but simply moved the day of the event in their calendar. Our coordinator, Caitlin was beyond helpful and accommodating as well. She was able to help us change headcounts last minute due to family emergencies a few days prior to the wedding. The best part was their staff the day of – they were kind, considerate and quick moving to help us transition into cocktail hour, into dinner and then into partying. One of the catering staff would come out to clean up spills on the dance floor and was witnessed to dance and show off his moves in the spirit of the night – he was AMAZING and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. Overall, the food was delicious, and all of our wedding guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. 10/10 would recommend using their services.
Our experience with Three Tomatoes Catering was outstanding. Ashley, our Three Tomatoes event coordinator, went above and beyond for us. She stayed on top of all the details and deadlines and made my job as the bride so much easier. She walked me through every step including picking out the food, beverages, linens, chairs, flowers, colors for the evening..the list goes on and on. Between Ashley and our wedding venue coordinator, we were able to put together a fantastic wedding without hiring a professional wedding planner. Ashley's guidance was so valuable!
The Three Tomatoes staff and bartenders at the wedding were so attentive and friendly. Our guests felt very well taken care of. The signature drinks that the bartenders mixed were a hit.
Can't forget about the amazing food! We chose the barbeque menu, and the food was delicious. People are still talking about how amazing the bbq chicken and blue cheese potato salad was.
Three Tomatoes Catering exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend them!
We hired Three Tomatoes Catering for my daughter's wedding and were so pleased with our choice. We worked with Ashleigh and she was so helpful and professional.
The food was AMAZING. The presentation beautiful.
We were able to have a couple of tastings to determine
our menu and they accommodated our every needs.
I look forward to having them cater other functions that
we may have in the future and highly recommend there
services.
We had the pleasure of working with Ashley for our wedding and she was amazing! She was so attentive to all of our thoughts, tastes, and ideas we had for everything. We were told by multiple people that we had some fo the BEST food they had ever had at a wedding and I have to agree! Everything was prepared beautifully and it all had so much flavor. The fact that they have an in house cake designer was also amazing as it was a one stop shop! I would absolutely use them again for any other catering needs we have and hope we are lucky enough to attend another wedding they cater! I am still wiping the drool off my chin thinking about all the food ;)
Our experience with Three Tomatoes Catering was excellent! We worked with Hannah who was an absolute delight! She was so patient with us as we were indecisive about our menu choices, and was quick to answer any questions we had throughout the entire process. She gave us honest opinions about all of the options we were interested in.. we were so happy with all of her recommendations! Hannah was also willing to set up any separate meal for those of our guests who seem to be picky eaters! We didn't end up needing to do that, but was really nice knowing that was something she could take care of. We loved everything we sampled during our tasting, but we were still blown away by the food at our reception- OUR FOOD WAS AMAZING! We had guests from all over the country, so we wanted appetizers that appeal to everyone, but also have a unique presentation. Three tomatoes nailed it! I highly recommend the "duck donuts." The chicken served at dinner was so flavorful and not at all dry which seems to happen all too often at weddings. Our steak was cooked perfectly!!! We were so pleased! Towards the end of our reception, "late night snacks" of chicken strips and french fries were served- these were a huge hit, and most likely life savers after an evening of partying! We received so many compliments on the food from our guests! The entire staff treated us with such kindness and executed the evening without a hitch. Our bartenders were open to creating any cocktail of our choosing, and made sure they had the appropriate mixers. They did such a great job and were very patient with our rowdy crew! Three tomatoes also provided meals for our vendors which also received positive feedback. Our photographers raved about Three Tomatoes saying they were treated better than they have ever experienced at weddings! You cannot go wrong with Three Tomatoes- they are professional, flexible, affordable, honest, and most of all, they make delicious meals your guests will love!
Three Tomatoes was the third caterer that me and my husband visited with. We were feeling a little down-trodden after meeting with the first two; one was super unprofessional and honestly rude and the other one was super expensive for what felt like not enough food. We worked with Hannah Teague and she was so wonderful. She was very friendly and up front about what we should expect. What is super cool about Three Tomatoes is their entire menu is custom! You basically built the dinners. This was a huge relief because at the other caterers we visited, you couldn’t make any substitutions. When we went to our tasting, we felt as if we were at a very nice restaurant. Their office is super cute and very clean. We were able to try out so many different food options. It was great to have so many choices! The other great thing about Three Tomatoes is they have there on baker, so we were able to order our wedding cake from them also. We loved the “one-stop shop” concept. It was just nice to be able to work with one vendor for all the food. And holy buckets, the cake was freaking delicious! We ended up doing two cake tastings with them because as we got closer to the wedding date we needed a reminder on the cake flavors. Hannah let us pick up a to-go cake tasting which was super nice. What may be hard to believe is Three Tomatoes ended up being the most affordable option for us as a caterer. We were so surprised we were saving money especially since we hand picked our menu and used them for our wedding cake also! The food was delicious, the cake delightful and we have no complaints. We highly recommend Three Tomatoes!
They were so great to work with! They always made sure our guests and we were taken care of. And the food was amazing! We still hear about how great the food was. Definitely recommend!
We can highly recommend Three Tomatoes for your wedding. We worked with Ashley Cunningham, who I feel is the best catering coordinator possible. She worked tirelessly to make sure the items we selected for our wedding dinner tasted just as we hoped, offering multiple tastings and even special ordering ham from Virginia for our cocktail hour. We enjoyed working with her so much that we had Cowtown BBQ, an arm of Three Tomatoes, cater our rehearsal dinner. She came to both of our events to make sure that all was as we planned. On top of our great experience with Ashley, the food was delicious. Many of our guests said that our reception had the best wedding food they had ever had. Yay Three Tomatoes and Ashley!!!!
The food blew us away at the tasting. I don't think it was as good when plated for 180 people and there were issues with the service members during dinner. In addition, the bartenders were difficult and some of my guests complained about them. Working with Hannah was a wonderful experience, she was very accommodating and responsive.
Our experience with Three Tomatoes was excellent. In the planning process we worked with Tabitha who was incredibly responsive and offered numerous options to our requests and revisions. (Our menu went through six revisions as we realized we needed a late night snack and a vegan option among other things.) Tabitha organized everything. John was our point person on the day of (although I did hear later that Tabitha was there and we just didn't see her). He made sure we ate, had the drinks that we requested and executed the night beautifully. We offered our guest the cliche chicken or fish but all we got was compliments.
From first trying Three Tomatoes at a Vendor Preview we were in love with their food. Throughout the planning process Ashley C. was extremely patient and helpful in making sure even the smallest details were taken care of.
We went with hors d'oeuvres rather than a sit down meal, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. The food was delicious, and all of our guests made sure to tell us how much they enjoyed it all.
The staff went above and beyond at our event, making sure we ate with all the stuff going on by taking us plates of food during photos and between dances. And they even sent us home with meals to eat at the hotel.
We had one minor issue with a drink that Three Tomatoes made that was intended to have the option of being a mixed drink, but they rectified this immediately upon hearing our concerns.
Overall, Three Tomatoes has amazingly delicious food, a wonderful staff, and skilled and knowledgeable coordinators to make sure your event is perfect!
They were willing to do whatever we wanted and made it taste delicious! We also did our cake through them and it was so moist, it was to die for! I think food is often hit or miss at weddings and I heard all my guests saying how amazing our food was.
Went to a wedding and the service was terrible, food was served in a crockpot ( like a pot luck dinner ) it was 90 degrees outside. Bar ran out of ice and and liquor in the first hour of the wedding.
All mixers were gone within the first hour as well.
I am so happy we booked with Three Tomatoes! I live in Boston and wanted to highlight a Colorado food menu. Natalie did exactly that for me! We had bourbon shrimp, lamb sliders and green chili shooters. The trout and short rib of bison was AMAZING! People keep asking how they got the bison to fall off the bone. I found myself standing alone at the dessert buffet shoveling sweets into my mouth and I couldn’t of been happier. I also loved working with Natalie! She is the kind of person you feel like you already know and are very comfortable with. She found the perfect linens and the best cake flavors for our cutting cake. I was very happy to see her there the day of the event and enjoyed working with her the past year.
Three Tomatoes is a great option for your wedding or corporate catering! Their food is tasty and their staff are friendly!
Three Tomatoes catered our post elopement party and exceeded our expectations! We worked with Tabitha (highly recommend her) who was so knowledgeable and informative. She helped me so much with all my questions and did an excellent job coordinating everything! All the food was super yummy and exactly how we had it at our tasting. They were also able to accommodate for our vegan and gluten free guests. We will definitely use them again in the future for all our catered events!
We worked with Natalie for over a year before our wedding and she was excellent. I highly recommend you ask to work with her.
Our food was delicious.
All of our appetizers were amazing and I highly recommend the duck donuts/crab cakes/tuna poke. The sizes are smaller than what you get during your tasting but good bite size proportions and easy to eat with a cocktail in hand.
We had a plated dinner for 110 and all the food was warm and well done. Our sides were changed a little (whole potatoes instead of mashed, and brussle sprouts instead of rice pilaf) which I wish the caterer would have cleared with me first before substituting but they were all yummy and I was the only one who knew the difference. I am happy we did deserts with them as well. I recommend the mini cupcakes & tiramisu.
Highly recommend!
We loved our experience! Hannah was awesome! The tasting was amazing, and our food was great! I wish I'd been better at keeping my guests' dinner choices in line (several guests forgot what they requested - chicken - and switched during dinner, so I suspect that's why our prime rib seemed thin...not the caterer's fault at all, but if I'd known people would do that I'd have thought to give them a colored ticket or something instead of just knowing this table had 4 beef, 3 chicken, etc. Also, apparently the kids' meals had burned macaroni and cheese but the staff adjusted so the kids' had no cause for complaints. Overall, we were so pleased with all the staff and food!!
So, so yummy. I loved this place. We had a fabulous tasting and got the chance to work with Hannah. She was so sweet and accommodated all of my needs. Including me emailing her 2 months before the wedding and asking if we could add 60 donuts to our menu for our donut wall. Which was absolutely fabulous. I would highly recommend Three Tomatoes.
We were recommended Three Tomatoes by our wedding planner Carly (Milk Glass Productions) and it was the best decision ever! Three Tomatoes is simply incredible. We worked with Lauren Sandoval throughout the process, and her expertise and professionalism were second to none. Lauren was extremely knowledgable, creative, and helpful - she really took the time to understand us as a couple and as individuals...and helped us create the PERFECT menu for our wedding cocktail hour and reception! Our guests gushed about how delicious the food was- and that was really important to us. The entire staff, day-of, were so attentive, professional, available, and literally catered to our guests every need. One of the favorite apps was a chicken and waffle mini-cone with a ranch pipette- SO creative and absolutely delicious. HUGE thank you to everyone at Three Tomatoes :)
Overall the food and the staff were amazing. We worked with both Lauren and Miriam for coordinating our event and they made it very easy to not only schedule the food but also all of the rentals. The service was outstanding... The lead server (?), Craig, was amazing and made sure the my wife and I ate during dinner, which was critical! We received many, many, many compliments the day after about the quality of the food. The only hiccup was that Three Tomatoes was changing some staff roles within the company just before our wedding and it ended in some mistakes with our billing. They quickly corrected it, but it was an unnecessary stress so close to the wedding day.
We used three tomatoes to cater a buffet style wedding at the Evergreen Lakehouse (ELH). The ELH is very strict with when vendors can enter and Three Tomatoes did a great job getting everything set up in the short time allotted. Prior to the event, we worked with Tabithat who was great. During the event, the staff were extremely responsive and accommodating and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, despite the quality of food and service, Three Tomatoes ran out of food at the wedding reception, leaving ten of my guests with only salad to eat. As a catering company, this is unacceptable. Needless to say, these guests were quite upset given they had to wait the longest for food and when they got up there, there was no food left. I, as the Bride, witnessed this and in the middle of the wedding, right before my Dad gave a toast, I had to go back to the staff to express how unacceptable this was, which was clearly NOT what I wanted to be doing in the middle of the reception. While Three tomatoes did find and cook some basic pasta and chicken for those 10 guests about 40 minutes later, it still couldn't make up for the fact that they ran out of the main meal that all of our other guests go to enjoy.
Three Tomatoes did a fantastic job with our wedding. Our coordinator, Tabitha, was wonderful to work with. She helped us select a menu that was delicious, budget-friendly, and gluten-free. We got so many compliments on the food -- everything was perfectly cooked. We had a few guests who needed special service, and the staff at Three Tomatoes was so accommodating and kind. I can't say enough about how professional and delightful they were to work with. Would highly recommend!
Our venue required us to select a caterer from their approved list and we met with several and chose Three Tomatoes. Their food is amazing!!!! You will not regret a single food choice. Our guests raved about how wonderful the food was. Britney was our day of on site coordinator and she was amazing - customer service was top notch - absolutely loved her and she was amazing to work with. The only reason I rated a 4/5 was because our planner Hannah asked me three times what cake I wanted and I had to remind her three times what it was - carrot with white icing - beyond simple. The last thing you want to deal with as a bride is being asked the same unnecessary question over and over again. Hannah was nice enough, but not overly personable or friendly. Her team and the amazing food is why we were pleased.
We utilized Three Tomatoes as our catering vendor for our wedding at Villa Parker. They did a phenomenal job both in preparation/planning and in presentation/quality. The selections on the menu for us were extensive and they offered multiple options to fit our needs. They were also very reasonably priced in terms of the final package we went with. Our guests commented multiple times to us during and after the reception about how good the food was. The staff on site was helpful and did an incredible job of filling in as wait staff for tables and assisting with the cake cutting even though they were not our dessert vendor. They work extremely well with the Villa staff and it allowed us to have zero stress about the food. They were also timely in their communication and flexible on payment options to accommodate our budget. We would highly recommend Three Tomatoes for your wedding or personal event if you get the chance.
My wife and I chose Three Tomatoes bbq for our reception food. We had many of our guests tell us how much they loved the food (especially the mac n' cheese). We had the pleasure of working with Tabitha. We highly suggest requesting to work with her if you can. She was extremely helpful and available throughout our engagement. She always returned our calls, had great suggestions, and even communicated with our baker to help design our cake. Tabitha made hiring a caterer a seemless and stress free process. We are really glad to have chosen Three Tomatoes and we are thankful that we got to work with Tabitha!
Donnah and Hannah were wonderful to work with! Donnah helped us up until two months because she moved jobs and then Hannah took over from there. She did a great job making sure she was caught up with everything. She executed all the details that we wanted well. The food was well presented and tasted wonderful. Our wedding cake and groom's cake were ah-may-zeeeeng! The only downside is they didn't order enough food, so our vendors didn't get to eat. They ended up ordering a pizza... Other than that they did a great job!!
Three Tomatoes created some of the best food I have ever had and is the best caterer I have ever worked with or experienced. In addition to an incredibly delicious menu, Donnah and her team helped create the perfect ambiance by handling design rentals ranging from a beautiful, and much loved, non-traditional lounge area to a traditional Military missing man table. We opted out of the usual seated dinner and kept it interactive with passed appetizers and serving stations that represented us as a couple and as individuals and it couldn't have been better. To this day we still have guests talking about the amazing food and we have yet been able to find anything that can hold a candle to the items created for the wedding. The wedding cake was also on a whole different level. It was gorgeous, delicious and picked right out of our dreams. Donnah was incredible during the process as well and was a joy to work with. Three Tomatoes is where it's at, hands down.
Three Tomatoes is amazing! They did a wonderful job at my wedding in Nov. 2015. Sarah was a blast to work with, the food was great, the presentation was impeccable, the wait staff was incredible. They were the best priced, and they had the best food. I would HIGHLY recommend using them as your caterer!
I did a lot of research when trying to figure out the best caterer for our wedding. There were so many options but I ultimately decided on Three Tomatoes because all of their amazing ratings. And I could not be more happier with my choice. They were INCREDIBLE! Very rarely do you hear people rave about wedding food, however, almost every guest at our wedding (130+) came up to us and said that the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding. And I couldn't agree more. The food was fresh, delicious and HOT!!! Wedding food that was hot! Amazing!
I loved working with Abby. She was patient, kind, helpful and a huge resource. The food choices were varied and I found exactly what I was looking for. The pricing was very competitive and in fact, more cost-effective than other places in town. I could not recommend them more! You will not be disappointed!!! :)
Sarah was my main point of contact and she was absolutely wonderful! Not only was she extremely responsive to all of my emails throughout the wedding planning process, but she helped me design a custom menu that was exactly what I was looking for. She incorporated absolutely everything that I wanted and suggested things that I never even thought of. While making the rounds at my wedding people kept complimenting the food and there was hardly anything left at the end of the night. Also, the serving staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. Three Tomatoes will be my go-to caterer for any event I have in the future, and I highly recommend checking them out for your wedding!
My experience with Three Tomatoes was wonderful from the day I first contacted them for a quote to even days after my wedding. Their event coordinator Sarah was so incredibly nice, flexible, prompt, and wonderful to work with. At the tasting she made notes to specific things we preferred (less garlic, more crunch, etc). They were very flexible and never pushy - very understanding of me wanting to keep costs down. We had SO many compliments on the food at the wedding - especially the appetizers! We had them make our cake and unfortunately it accidentally got thrown away instead of frozen and saved for us - but Sarah was so nice and said they would make one complementary for us on our first anniversary if we would like. Like I said, I was VERY happy with there service and highly recommend them!
There aren't enough great things I can say about Sarah at Three Tomatoes! We used their Cowtown BBQ at our wedding, and Sarah was nothing short of amazing!! Insanely helpful, patient, and organized, she made our day amazing. From the first time we met, she guided us and helped us make decisions about things we had never even thought of! She helped us pinch pennies where we needed to, and told us where to splurge. Everyone LOVED our food, starting with jalapeño poppers, guac and chips, pulled pork and chicken, mac n cheese, and then the most beautiful cake ever! Every snafu that came up she would calmly ask what we wanted to do and offer up suggestions. Our night went off with plenty of hitches, that ended up even better because of them!! Thank you so much Sarah Hoffenberg, Cowtown BBQ, and Three Tomatoes Catering!!!
I would start but summing up our experience with Three Tomatoes as the most disappointing part of our wedding. We consider ourselves a 'foodie' family, with a brother as a chef and my mother who should be. Our friends and family associate us with good quality, delicious food whenever we cook and we wanted that shared feeling at our reception.
My family used Three Tomatoes after having a few successful catered business events in the Denver metro area and my parents were very comfortable with their offerings. Having a mountain wedding, we wanted food that fit the venue, but wasn't your typical 'wedding reception' style food. We had a simplistic rustic Italian menu planned- grilled meats, grilled vegetables, crispy potatoes, pasta- nothing that was overly complicated and was focused on fresh, classic favors. Unfortunately, the outcome onsite could not have been more opposite.
To start, we were specificly told the caterers would arrive on site earlier in the day as our menu read items that were 'grilled onsite'. It wasn't until the day of that we were instructed that all items were going to be prepared in Denver and then transported up. Our contract and our menu prepared by them both read grilled onsite...but somehow that went unnoticed by them. (This was particularly embarrassing for us as each guest had a printed menu at their seat that specifically read grilled onsite as we simply sent them the agreed upon menu to use). The food was clearly not grilled onsite. Anyone could tell the steak had been grilled earlier in the day and sat in warming trays for the afternoon. The grilled chicken looked so unappetizing and soggy, I couldn't even bring myself to try it at the reception.
Every item came out cold and the presentation of the food was so disappointing. It could not have been more opposite from the tasting we experienced with them at their office. One particular item we all loved from the tasting were the crispy garlic smashed potatoes that were perfect at our tasting...onsite they were nothing more that boiled potatoes that weren't smashed, they were falling apart.
The one area I must give credit were credit is due was with their serving staff. They did an amazing job and it was certainly not their fault they were serving disappointing food.
There was no follow up from Three Tomatoes after the wedding. I assumed they knew they did a half hearted job and hoped it would just be swept under the rug, so to speak. It is sad to say, however, I would strongly suggest to saving your money and go with another caterer for your wedding...I sure wish we did!
We used Three Tomatoes for our wedding and I would say from an execution they were really good. The food came out earlier so it was cold when we got it - I can imagine that wasn't a great experience for other guests. Abby is great and really good at managing set-up, layout, etc. Overall, the food was decent - not great.
We had the joy of working with Abby from Three Tomatoes. She was very patient with us and was able to create an amazing menu that stayed within our budget in a short amount of time. The food surpassed our expectations and all the guests were very pleased. All in all, working with Three Tomatoes and Abby was an excellent experience.
The staff at Three Tomatoes are so friendly and helpful. They have a great variety of foods and it is all delicious! I didn't have to pick a package, I built my own menu. On the day of my wedding, they took care of me and my wedding party. They made sure we had all the food and drinks we wanted and checked in throughout the night.
My experience with the Three Tomatoes was great from day one. They provide an excellent service both beforehand and on the wedding day. We were made to feel very special and spoiled by them on the day.
They set up the venue, which looked amazing, and provided the most delicious food. We had so many complients on the cocktail hour canapes and on the dinner. The really gave us an all round great service. Only one small issue was the early closure of the bar. We agreed to close the bar by 10pm but they closed up before 9:30pm, leaving guests witout drinks. I don't know the reason for this since nobody was drunk or misbehaving, and we returned $700 worth of alcohol to the liquor store! I didn't notice this at the time, but other guests reported their disappointment later. I suppose this is minor in the grand scheme of things but I wanted happy guests of course and we had paid to party in our venue until 10pm. We seemed to get rushed out at the end of the evening.
Overall it was a great experience and I would definately reccommend them. Just make sure you be clear on closure times at the end of the night.
Food was delicious and presented beautifully. Service was great!
We worked with Abby from Three Tomatoes. She was great with communication and on top of every last detail. Although it was slightly more expensive than the other caterer, we felt that the food at our tasting was SO good we couldn't help but pick Three Tomatoes! They were flexible and gave us exactly what we wanted. We also did a small wedding cake through them which turned out awesome- tasty and decorated beautifully!
I was so happy we chose Three Tomatoes. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff is incredible. Our venue- The Rembrandt Yard- referred us to Three Tomatoes. Upon speaking to Donnah Phipps- one of the event planners at Three Tomatoes, I knew we made the right decision. Donnah made sure that she understood our vision. We really wanted to do food stations at our reception and she made sure that we got exactly what we wanted.
On the day of our wedding Donnah and the rest of the staff executed everything seamlessly. The staff was so friendly and professional. We got so many compliments about the food and cake. I love Three Tomatoes, the staff completely understands what it means to be part of a wedding
We used Three Tomatoes for our caterer for our wedding last fall. They were very well organized and easy to work with. We did the stations style with passed appetizers and the food was excellent - after the wedding our friends kept talking about the food.
Service during the wedding was also good - they kept some appetizers to the side for us while we were taking pictures and the staff would check with us if they could bring us any food/drinks throughout the evening.
The only downside was the cost - it definitely did go over our original budget. Of course this is also our choice to expand the budget (we agreed to the price in the contract) however I don't think they prioritized staying within a budget when creating the menu, etc. Overall though I would definitely recommend them - the food was great and everything went off seamlessly the day of the wedding.
We used three tomatoes to do a bbq style meal. When we went to try the food we never could of imagined the quality. When we say bbq we don't mean dirty and greasy. It is quality food that everyone loved. Their staff was so on top of everything and always one step ahead!! Well worth every penny and Donnah and her staff were so fun to work with.
great capt. great food. very helpful. offered to help with set up and made sure everyone was happy. Food was delish and everyone said so. I didnt think to have signs out, so no one probably knew it was buffalo steak and not beef steak but something to think of for my next catered event. The Bloody Married bar was perfect for a lunch reception, and again, everyone loved it! I would suggest them to anyone. Brittani was very helpful thru-out the process and I was in Florida planning everything. She managed to fit us in for a tasting last minute when I made it in town a six months before the big day. She did a great job with keeping up with me when I changed my mind every week. :)
I used Three Tomatoes Catering for my wedding and I couldn't be happier with the result. I got so many compliments on how delicious and warm the food was. There were so many delicious choices of food to pick from and we were grateful for the choices. What a great Catering service to use and we will definitely be recommending them to anyone who asks.
Three tomatoes did an AMAZING job! They listened to all of our ideas and truly made them come to life. We have had three themed stations at our wedding adn every idea was created to perfection. The sushi we had was to die for and we are still hearing compliments weeks post wedding on the food as well as the staff that three tomatoes provided. There were no dirty plates or glasses anywhere in site. In addition to the amazing food and service the staff at three tomatoes was extremely helpful in making our display dreams come to life. We dreamed of a mountain wedding in Denver adn the staff helped make that happen. And lastly our cake! Don't even worry about finding a cake from a bakery, three tomatoes can do anything you want and more using buttercream frosting (so much yummier then fondant). We had a mountain shaped cake with cotton candy snow and it was truly the centerpiece of the entire room. Highly highly highly recommend this vendor!
Our initial reception plan didn't work out so we decided to have our reception in our backyard! I was slightly worried at first that it wouldn't feel formal enough but 3 Tomatoes was INCREDIBLE! The food was amazing and everyone at the wedding commented on it - the cocktail hour and then the grilled vegetables and tuscan beef roulade were the most raved about. AND the service on our wedding day could not have been better. Joe was the head staff that day and everyone loved him - he and his staff made us feel so special and created a professional/formal yet super warm vibe for our wedding dinner and afterwards! When we arrived after photos, we were greeted by Joe who had taken care of everything with our guests and saved us a plate of hors d'oeuvres before we went outside and had our first dance. The staff also took the initiative to add many extra touches (e.g., they took some spare lanterns and added them to the food table) without us even asking. We were so relaxed and had an amazing time!!!!
Three Tomatoes was located in my venue, Fossil Trace Golf Course. I had an affordable buffet many with much variety. My guest commented on how good my mexican buffet was for a wedding and stated they would eat at the restaurant because of the wedding food!
We had our wedding at Fossil Trace Golf Club and Three Tomatoes has an exclusive partnership with them. My parents used them for their wedding, and they raved about the food. I'm not going to lie - at the tasting, I thought the food was good, not great. I found it to be a bit salty, but well-presented but my hub loved it.
Not sure what they did the day of the wedding, but the food was delicious! Everyone raved about it (we did the buffet with Tuscan Chicken, Beef Roulade, salad, fruit salad, bread and grilled veggies). The beef tended to be the fav from everyone, and people commented about how the buffet was always "fresh"...when the veggie plate was without asparagus, they replaced the whole plate.
We had a bit of flexibility with the salad (3 dressings on the side, switch one veggie for orange peppers), but otherwise, we stuck with their preset menu.
To note - the cost is for food only, if we factor the booze in, it is much greater.
