I had the wedding of my dreams at Postcard Inn! I found this venue thanks to my wedding planner and had never seen it in person before the wedding week and am so happy we chose this venue! While it was the wedding of my dreams and I would 100% do it all over again there was a little room for improvement on their end.
Pros:
-GORGEOUS venue. Looks even better in person than it did in the pictures online. My wedding photos were stunning.
-The resort itself is somewhere I would enjoy staying and plan to stay
-Everything went smoothly day of.
-This is 1 of 3 sister properties in the Islamorada area and it's the same price for all of them. You choose from the same food options, cake options, and drink packages. I chose Postcard Inn because of the beach front ceremony with a tiki hut right next to it for reception. The tiki hut is great to have in case it rains and you don't have to worry about renting a tent.
-If you book the penthouse to get ready in it provides a beautiful backdrop for some pre wedding photos of yourself and the bridal party getting ready. Has to be some of the best views you can get in Islamorada.
-There is a bar on the property which was the prefect place to keep the reception going after our time was up.
-There is a wedding cake included in the package and it was delicious! We got carrot cake and everyone loved it.
-They had the perfect beach to go swimming in at the end of the night with the wedding party. My husband and I ran into the ocean in our wedding clothes and we got some more good photos and had a blast.
Cons:
- Pretty pricey but that's just how it goes in the Keys. Was hoping I would save a lot of money with a small wedding (24 people) but I maxed out my budget.
- I got zero VIP treatment... No Congratulations at check in, no welcome note it the room. I was expecting to feel a little more special and was let down. For the price you pay they should have some sort of welcome basket for the bride and groom.
- They don't have an area for the bride or groom to get ready, you have to rent rooms for that. I personally wasn't planning on staying at the resort because we had a large house rented for the week of the wedding but we had to rent 2 rooms for 2 nights so that bridal party and groom party could get ready during the day and they did not offer a discount. I rented the penthouse which was recommended for the bridal party and would highly recommend it. The air conditioner in the room was barely working though and even though we asked nobody ever came to fix it. For the groom we got a beach front room which was quite small but it had a sliding glass door that opened right up to the beach and pool area making it easy for them to hang out in the room or outside and mingle with others.
-The food was good but not great.
Overall it was still one of the best days of my life and the Postcard Inn will always be a very special place to us.
This review is not for the venue itself but for the sales team. It took multiple calls to several numbers to get through to someone that could provide a quote. Some of the staff on the phone were quite rude. When we finally got an email contact and requested a call, we got the generic flyer that is available on the website. Weeks after still no response to our follow up email with questions.
We really wanted to work with this venue, but the communication is so awful it seems impossible. I had been emailing with Amanda K., and found it took nearly two weeks to get a response. We then had a phone call to discuss what my fiancé and I were looking for, and Amanda said she would send us some quotes by the weekend. It's now been a month since that phone call and we've heard nothing. I've sent follow-up emails without getting any response. It seems like they don't even care about our business.
Any questions?
We have been utterly disappointed with this venue and it’s rude, inconsiderate staff/management. Getting someone to call back is like an act of Congress. I’ve never been so disappointed in a vendor in my life. Do not book your wedding here. Save yourself the headaches and the heartache. Dr. j
Planning a destination wedding is never easy, booking and planning a destination wedding just prior to the COVID pandemic taking over the world even less so, however, having the right event manager and right venue is key. Fortunately for us, we had both! Andrea Hammet, and Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina were a dream to work with. It was incredibly difficult living in the unknown of the past year. We are both healthcare workers from the metropolitan NYC area, which was an incredibly hard hit area and working in an incredibly hard hit field, so saying that planning a wedding despite the horrors going on in the world was a difficult, emotional, and stressful is the understatement of the century. For a while the Keys were completely shut down to visitors, hotels who thrived on tourists closed for a time, and our venue contacts furloughed. However, we never felt abandoned by Andrea. Andrea stayed in near constant communication with me over the past two years since we booked our wedding. She answered my MILLION emails and questions and concerns, she worked with us to make sure everything we wanted was just right, and when some very unexpected things occurred less than two weeks from the wedding, she was gracious enough to make sure we were accommodated. The venue is so incredibly beautiful, there were so many incredible spots for photos. We held almost all of our wedding weekend events on site: from the rehearsal dinner on the Bimini Row marina, the ceremony on Rum Runner beach, cocktail hour on the Celebration Island dock, reception under Celebration Tiki, and farewell brunch under Rum Runner Tiki, everything was exceptional. The food was incredible. Linda, who was our bartender for several of our events was AMAZING! Every single person raved about her! And Veronica, who helped to ensure everything went off without a hitch could not have been better! She even helped shuttle me and my husband around on golf carts throughout the day to get around the large venue grounds to get the best spots for pictures. The penthouse suite where the bridesmaids got ready and then my husband and I stayed the night of our wedding was absolutely stunning. The view was out of this world – you could see the ocean and the bay from the wraparound balcony – I do not know of anywhere else in Islamorada, or the Florida Keys for that matter that has that type of view. And during our reception, housekeeping even came and straightened up the mess of the room we left getting ready so it was neat, clean, and welcoming for us to return to after the wedding! There were a few minor hiccups with some guest room accommodations, but nothing that Andrea did not fix for us, and I do not feel that it was a reflection of the venue itself, rather corporate reservations. We had a perfect wedding, in a perfect location, and we would not have changed a thing!
We are so happy with how our wedding turned out. We were married at PCI on August 20, 2017 and it was a wonderful experience.
Even though the day started with crazy amounts of rain, Amanda and Andrea reassured us that everything would be fine and that they were monitoring the weather just in case we needed to have a plan B.
The sun came out, and the party started! The food was SO good and our key lime wedding cake was literally the talk of the weekend. Lionel and the catering staff accommodated all of our guests throughout the night.
From check-in to check-out we were treated exceptionally well. The staff at PCI always went out of their ways to ask us if we needed anything.
On the night of our wedding, we came back to the room with chilled champagne, two glasses, a care package with towels and treats, and two adorable "Mr. & Mrs." pillowcases. Everything was amazing and our friends and family bonded over the week we were there.
We're already planning our family reunion for 2018!
Our wedding at The Postcard Inn was literally "picture perfect"! I don't even know where to begin... Amanda was my event planner through the hotel. She was absolutely amazing, and she was always available to answer questions. She made the process very easy. Once we arrived to the hotel, the staff was phenomenal! They were all so friendly. They made us and all of our guests feel welcomed. Our actual ceremony & reception was breath taking! Amanda and the staff were there for us every step of the way. If you are looking for a beautiful wedding spot in the keys, I highly recommend The Postcard Inn! Our guests are still talking about how they attended the most beautiful wedding ever!
Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. We had a great experience all around at the Postcard Inn. Even though we planned an intimate wedding, there were so many details, it started to get overwhelming. But Amanda and her team made it SO EASY. They kept in constant communication with our wedding planner and I. We held our ceremony was on rum runners beach following a private dinner on celebration island. The entire night was stunning. The food, drinks were so delicious! The staff was helpful and always one step ahead of the game. Our guests absolutely loved the staff. They were involved with our guests and had a great time. It was comforting to see they were enjoying themselves just as much as we were. I could not have asked for anything more. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect!
Not only did we enjoy our wedding, we enjoyed our entire stay! We arrived a couple days before the wedding. All of our rooms were incredible with amazing views. Before the big day, we had the opportunity to go explore on the resort kayaks and chill by the bars. They had it all!
Thank you!!!
Once we decided on a destination wedding, Postcard Inn made everything so easy! From the planning to the execution-- the wedding was flawless. The vendors they recommended were spot on and perfect. We could not have asked for a better venue or a more perfect wedding! Sam & her team were wonderful! Another perk: the property is like a cruise ship... you don't have to leave if you don't want to!
I can not rave about PCI enough. We had our December wedding there in 2016. I live in Miami, so was able to travel down multiple times easily. We were not using a planner so were a little nervous about everything.
Leading up to the wedding, I did get frustrated a few times. They definitely run on Keys time, which, if youre not used to, can get a little nervewrecking. I occasionally had to send a follow up email or phone call, but I always got a response, even if it took a little prompting.
The day of went off completely without a hitch. I know I'm biased, but it was truly the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. We did not use a tent, as the weather held up, and had our ceremony and reception on Rumrunners beach. The food was incredible, and all the guests raved about it. I also did not have a day of, but Amy from PCI stepped up with our family members and assisted setting up some of the decor.
We also did our rehearsal dinner on the property. It was also beautiful, delicious, and went off without a hitch.
I truly can not rave enough about PCI. The staff from the moment we checked in was helpful and friendly. Amy, the wedding coordinator, checked in with me multiple times and was on top of everything, and they even left some surprises for us in our room when we returned. The property was gorgeous and almost all the guests stayed there. Everyone had a wonderful time and my only regret is that it is over!
My husband and I recently had our wedding at the Postcard Inn and our honeymoon at Pelican Cove (the sister hotel of Postcard) and everything was amazing. We had a threat of Hurricane Matthew off the coast of Florida, which caused chaos during the days leading up to the wedding. Samantha Klipp and Leanne (Pelican Cove) were absolutely amazing to my husband, myself, and my guest. They went above and beyond to make our day special. Everything happened exactly how we wanted, beautiful weather and all! We are so thankful for these two and their entire staff. We booked a week stay for our one year anniversary and plan on visiting at least once a year!

We are so happy that we chose Postcard Inn for our wedding venue! First off, we started working with Wendy(who is no longer there) and she was awesome. Very helpful and always responsive. Then we were paired with Samantha, who is AMAZING! Samantha was with us every step of the way(literally she drove me in a golf cart and walked me and my dad up to the entrance of my wedding!) Samantha made sure that all of the boxes were checked and we felt like the wedding was a breeze. The food was great, everyone really loved the chicken and the mahi mahi, the desserts were awesome and the appetizers were excellent.
Our guests loved the all inclusive feel of the resort. The only suggestion they had was they wish there was a continental breakfast. There is a Starbucks within walking distance though so it makes it so easy for you! We didn't get to use the Tiki Bar but the Raw Bar was great. The water sports were a big hit with our family and friends.
Strongly recommend if you are looking for an all inclusive deal for your venue. We will return for a trip in the future!
Great food, amazing views, newly renovated rooms. Can't wait to see the photos.
My husband and I were married at the Post Card Inn in March 2016. We held the ceremony outside at Rum Runners Beach with the reception under the Beach Pavilion. Sunday brunch was held in the Horizon Room.
The food at both the reception and day after brunch was absolutely amazing. I am not exaggerating when I say every single guest complimented us on the food and told us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. In addition to how delicious the food tasted, the wait staff was equally as good and very attentive.
We picked the Post Card Inn initially because of the location of the ceremony. It is absolutely beautiful and a large space to have the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We originally signed the contract with Wendy who made certain commitments that were not met (discussed later). She left before our wedding and was then transferred to Sam who was very helpful and responded to all of my calls and texts in a timely manner. She also worked well with my wedding planner in keeping everything organized and on time the day of the wedding.
We knew that PCI was undergoing construction prior to our wedding however we were not told the entirety of renovations taking place and were told that everything would be finished months before our wedding. The suite I booked ended up not completed and had to be downgraded, and the Tiki Bar wasnt either. The room I got ready in ended up being sufficient, but, would have much preferred the original larger suite that I wanted and was sold on during the contracting process. We really wanted our after party to be at the Tiki Bar where many of the guests have spent many nights, making for a great party. Instead it was held at the raw bar that closed much earlier (midnight) than we were told, totally killing the party both Friday and Saturday nights. If we know this we could have at least brought more liquor or something for our guests. These issues could have been handled much better both during the sales process and afterwards on-site as new things came up.
The completed renovations were very nice and made PCI a more desirable place to stay in Islamorada. There were a lot of activities for people to do and all of our out of town guests had a great time and loved the property. The main complaint that I have regarding the hotel was the front desk staff. They had to be the worst staff my Husband has ever encountered (traveling 25+ trips a year) – they couldn’t even handle properly checking us and our guests in or out (20+ minutes and could not handle reading the final invoice, the deposit threw him off). A number of people were also double booked in rooms, always a nice surprise. The day we left the computer was down and couldn’t check out properly. Also, I’m not sure whose fault this was but whoever ran our credit cards to pay for the second half of our wedding and brunch costs used the wrong one. We had one card for brunch and one for the wedding costs. This was extremely stressful to deal with and took a lot of phone calls and emails to resolve.
Despite the negatives, I am still so happy to have gotten married at the PCI and would still recommend it to anyone. Luckily all the of renovations will be done soon and other people won’t have to go through what I went through with regard to that. I don’t think you can find a place that offers the beautiful view with equally as good food for a wedding. I believe that it was well worth what we spent.
We had an amazing wedding at Postcard Inn. We knew as soon as we saw it that it was exactly what we wanted. We not only had our wedding and reception on the beach, but we also had a BBQ for all of the wedding guests the night before the wedding. The staff was great! You can't pick a better place to have your wedding!
My husband and I wanted a beach wedding and after spotting the Postcard Inn, we immediately fell in love with the venue! The Beach & Beach Pavilion are breathtaking!
We worked with Kera, the on-site wedding coordinator who was great! She thought of every detail and made sure everything went smoothly the day of our wedding.
All of my guests had a great time at the wedding and all commented on how amazing the food was!! Wedding are always a good time but rarely do the guest rave about the food!
The only criticism I have if that the rooms need a little more TLC, the decor is updated and new but the window trims and tub needed a little bit of fixing, HOWEVER, I would still recommend coming here to vacation or getting hitched because every corner of that piece of land is beautiful!!
The Postcard Inn provides an excellent venue for a beach wedding. The wedding coordinators are so easy to work with and for an anxious bride, that makes a big difference! There is so much for your family to do while you are preparing for your big day...jet-skis, kayaks, paddle boards, etc.. The bars on property are great! If you have family interested in doing some fishing or diving, the marina provides some great guides and day or half day trips! Islamorada itself, has some wonderful places to check-out as well if you decide to get off-property for a bit. Should you decide on a day trip, head to Key West and have a sloppy-joe and a pint at a local bar there! Miami isn't too far either, if you wanted to have a quick glimpse and lunch at one of the local hot spots! You really can't go wrong having your wedding here!
I had my wedding at the post card inn back in October of 2014, we were blown away that we had 110 guests travel from MD to FL but everyone said they took one look at the PCI online and they were all in for a vaca (and of course for the wedding too ;)). Majority of guest stayed the entire week and everyone is still talking about how much fun they had not just at the wedding but all week enjoying activities and just relaxing with friends and family (on what feels like your own private island). Although we did go through a few coordinators in the beginning I ended up working with Wendy and she made everything a breeze from that point forward! Everything went so smoothly on our big day, food was great, drinks were always in hand, the ceremony spot and reception were beautiful. The staff was so attentive to my husband and I always making sure we were taken care of, how a bride and groom should feel on their big day! My only recommendation would be to rent fans, we did last minute and I am so thankful for that because it was pretty hot, even at night (but we also danced a LOT). I would absolutely recommend the PCI for your wedding location, you will not regret it, its like a private piece of paradise and we cannot wait to go back for our Anniversary!
I had my wedding at the Postcard Inn in January 2015. The staff was so incredibly helpful as I was planning all of this from Minnesota. I have not been to the Keys so was depending on reviews, website pics, etc. Everyone involved with planning, communicating, executing my wedding was wonderful. The day of my wedding went so well without any glitches because of the staff. Everyone continually asked how they could help. Amy, my planner, even went up to my room to get our jackets when she saw that we were getting chilly during the night. I can't say enough about the staff. I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again at Postcard Inn. THANK YOU!!!
We chose Postcard Inn for an early November destination wedding, hoping for a beautiful, fun and relaxed wedding venue. We got all that and more!
Postcard Inn was perfect. The setting was amazing, and the entire event team (Jill, Amy, Wendy, Kim, etc.) treated us with respect -- answering all of our emails and phone calls as we planned from our home state.
Once we arrived, we literally had nothing to worry about. The team had it all taken care of, but reviewed our plans with us and made last minute adjustments to make sure everything was perfect and to finalize the decisions that we had wanted to make on-site.
On our wedding day, the set-up, organization, and food were fantastic (food portions were HUGE for a wedding!). We used Rum Runner Beach and the Beach Pavilion for our location, and it couldn't have been better.
We had absolutely no complaints as the bride and groom, and our guests had nothing but rave reviews about their time at Postcard.
Thank you so much to the PCI team for making everything perfect!
Everything about my entire wedding was amazing. The staff, especially Wendy and Kim, were out of this world. Made my guests and I feel as if we were the only ones at the hotel. The venue was simply gorgeous!!
My daughter's wedding was held on the beach at Postcard Inn with the reception in the Beach Pavilion. It was PERFECT! The setting was beautiful. The staff at PCI was most helpful and accommodating in all areas, planning, reservations, set-up, and catering. The food was incredible! All of our guests commented on how wonderful everything was. We highly recommend them for any event you may plan to have.
We were recently married at Postcard Inn, and it far surpassed our already high expectations. In our work with Jill Campbell and Amy Cornaire, we were constantly impressed by their professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail. The entire staff provided outstanding hospitality, and special thanks to Kim and Joe who made the food service/bar aspect of our wedding reception perfect. In addition to the beach wedding itself, our room was perfect, the pool and staff there were incredible, and the amenities and activities were plentiful. We love Postcard Inn and highly recommend it for a visit...and if you are looking for an amazing place to be married, this is definitely it!
The Postcard Inn is the ideal Beach Wedding venue for any couple looking to have a fun, stress free wedding! We had our wedding on Rum Runner's Beach on June 7th, 2014. The venue is so beautiful, but the staff really make it a stress free experience! The front desk is friendly, The managers and staff are very accomodating- Wendy, Kim, Amy, and Jill make sure every detail is taken care of. Look no further than the Postcard Inn for your wedding venue!
If you are looking for an easy wedding on the beach in the Florida Keys I highly recommend Post Card Inn. We got married at Postcard Inn/ Holiday Isle in the beginning of February and were extremely pleased with the whole weekend. The hotel isn't outrageously expensive so more of our friends and family were able to attend. They all liked the choice of restaurants on property, bars, the beach and the water sports they could partake in when not involved with wedding activities.
The wedding planners are great to work with and we were pleased with everything from the linens to the food at the reception. Definitely book an ocean front room if you can. The king suite is great if you plan on having friends stop by or need the space to get ready with your bridesmaids.

The Postcard Inn gave me my perfect wedding! My husband and I got married May 10 and for everything involving the Postcard Inn it was stress free.
Once we toured the property we knew it was the place for us. Anytime I had a question it was answered quickly, they gave me fantastic recommendations for our DJ (DJ Danny at Event my Way) and also for our additional furniture. The location could not have been more beautiful, all of my guests have said so many times how amazing the food was. The bartenders were friendly and fast.
I never once questioned whether anything would be done. I knew I was in great hands!
Thank you so much to the entire Postcard Staff for giving us the perfect wedding!

When I first got engaged, I knew I wanted a small, intimate wedding. We decided on a destination wedding and had 20 of our closest friends and family members to share the special day with us. Budget was a major factor for our wedding. My husband and I were financially responsible for the costs and were trying to accomplish a destination wedding while pinching pennies. I emailed our coordinator at the Postcard Inn to get every detail. We decided on an 20 guest package that included the site (celbration island), officiant, photographer for 2 hours, open bar, hor dourves, dj and a 2 night stay in the honeymoon suite for $6000. Since we are from up north, we also wanted to make this our honeymoon. We stayed for the week. Our coordinator and the staff were so accommodating. I could not have asked for a more perfect day or week. Our photographer was amazing, the food was delicious, the vibe was infectious. It was truly an amazing day. If I had to complain about anything at all, it would be our stay in the standard rooms. The rooms are beautifully done and renovated but the bathrooms were a huge disappointment for me. We had a few of our guest change rooms because the bathroom shower would not work properly. The room that I stayed in the shower plate was hanging from the wall and the counter was not level with the wall. It was as if the bathrooms were not renovated at all. However, when I mentioned it to the front desk manager, we were able to change rooms and so were our guests. Our new rooms were better but I felt that the bathrooms were still not in the best of shape. With that being said, we would definitely return and plan on it for our year anniversary. The people are amazing and you could tell that everyone truly cared about our happiness and how important that time was for us. I highly reccomend the Postcard Inn for a destination wedding!

Thanks so much for your kind words, we look forward to seeing you on your anniversary!
All the best, Amy and the PCI team!
We had our wedding ceremony on the beach at sunset with our reception under the pavilion. Everything was beautiful. The staff at Postcard Inn were great to work with, everyone from Jill helping us plan our wedding to the staff setting up. The food was amazing and we didn't have any complaints. We would recommend having a destination wedding here!

Thank you for your comments, we wish you and Dave the best! Please come back and visit with us:) Jill
Our wedding was beautiful at the PCI. I was so nervous planning it from so far away. Everything went beautifully and the staff was unbelievably kind and attentive. The grounds looked beautiful. I could not have asked for anything more. I was throughly impressed with every aspect. I would defeintely recommend to other brides!!

all the best, Amy
We are so pleased we chose a destination wedding at PCI. We had an amazing time and the staff there helped keep our stress levels low. They were always available during our preparations and helped whenever we had questions. The best part was that they helped make our big day go flawlessly. We heard from many of our guests how perfect the location was. Soooo happy with our choice!

Everyone at The Postcard Inn was wonderful to work with. The service on the day of was impeccable. As the bride I didn't worry about a thing. This is the best venue in the Florida Keys. The beach is beautiful and the pictures are stunning.

Thanks so much Erin, it was a pleasure working with you, we wish you all the best!Jill
The location is absolutely breathtaking. We were married on Rum Runner's Beach with cocktails under the tiki hut and reception in Horizon room. Did not like that the hotel charged such a hefty fee for the use of the Horizon room, but we wanted to ensure a rian venue. If I were doing it again I would have stayed under the tiki hut, but guests were thankful for the AC. Overall I was ver please, but we did experience a few problems. First, we paid the hefty price for the 2 bedroom and were all but promised the one to the north side of the building with the larger living room. At check in we learned that was given to a non-wedding party that booked months after us. Hotel worked to rectiful situation, but I will never have the getting ready photos I was planning for and am disappointed. Plus, really didn't need the added last minute stress. The other item I was unhappy about was the catering departments lack of prior planning. We had settled on our wedding time with the sale's deptartment prior to setting the time for the wedding and printing inviations. Less than two months before wedding catering manager wanted us to change the time of our wedding to 30 min earlier. We had already had half our RSVP's at that point. Thought that was rather unprofessional to even make s suggestion like that that late in planning process. All in all was a beautiful venue and the staff were top notch!

Julianna,
Thank you so much for your feedback, you had a beautiful wedding! Thank you again for your card and please send more pictures! All the best, Jill
Throughout the entire process I had issues with the wedding coordinators (Briana and Jillian) For example they were sharing wedding details with non staff (its a small town and got back to my husband and I) That being said Everyone else was AWESOME! The catering guy and his staff (greg I think) were awesome. The front desk people (lenny especially) went above and beyond. The rooms were great and food at the wedding was so so good! The wedding day was beautiful and perfect (even though my MOH had to have words with Briana)
beautiful location, good service. Overall a good impression
