We absolutely loved our flowers for our wedding day, and working with Thrifty Flowers throughout the planning process. The flowers at our wedding were very important to me because flowers are a pastime of mine. David and his team did not stop until my vision was met. We had countless meetings, and the team created mock centerpieces/bouquets for me to see and change months before our wedding. They even made a last minute addition to week before the wedding - a floral arch. The best part was that the team took my vision and provided cost-effective alternatives since some of the flowers I liked were very unique and rare which would drive up the price significantly. Numerous guests came up to my parents throughout the wedding asking who did our flowers and were super complimentary. If flowers are important to you definitely work with Thrifty Flowers - I can not stop looking at pictures of our flowers at our wedding :)

Our centerpieces and bouquets turned out exactly what I envisioned. Linda definitely knows her stuff. During the planning process it was a little sketchy- Linda didn't return one of my phone calls for over 48 hours (when I was verifying the place and time for the floral trial appointment) - I actually had to call the other contact listed in order to get her to respond. It all came together perfectly though and I would hire them again!

I was so glad I found thrifty florist for my flowers. Linda was awesome and the pricing was great!! She was so helpful, even before we officially booked her! She offered suggestions when she didn't know if the flowers would match my bridesmaids dresses. I had only looked at one other florist and they were going to charge more than double and they were way less helpful! The only issue I had was that Linda was a little hard to get ahold of in the beginning but she was very busy and I did book a little late in the game! My bouquet was absolutely beautiful and everything I could have imagined! If you need a great florist as well as a great price talk to Linda at thrifty florist!

I did a lot of research, and had a lot of fails when trying to book a florist. I settled with Thrifty, and worked with Linda. She was incredibly accommodating to my budget, and my flowers were wonderful. My only comment is that there were some struggles making contact, but nothing that was really grievous. In the end, I definitely recommend! I got amazing flowers for a fraction of what anyone else in the Metro area quoted me.

They did an amazing job. Mel was really easy to work with and did exactly what I wanted with my bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets and centerpieces. Would highly recommend.

I was a bride on a budget, so I went to Thrifty. I wasn't sure of the quality or service that I would receive there, but I remained open minded. I was SO SO SO pleasantly surprised at the amazing service through the planning process. Linda, my consultant, made sure that my bouquet had everything I wanted in it...even my favorite orchids, which can get pricey. The end result was beautiful flowers for me and my part on the big day.

Overall, I was happy with what I got from Thrifty, and my flowers looked great for the affordable cost. However, I was not thrilled with the service. It seems as though they only have one person servicing the Metro-Detroit area for events, Linda. She seems very overworked and unorganized. My wedding was in May, and I met with the florist in October because I'm prepared. I contacted Linda in late April/early May to finalize our plans. I basically had to re-explain what I wanted, as she had only portions of her notes available. We went back and forth over the centerpieces for many days. About 10 days before my wedding, we finally concluded on a simple centerpiece that fit my budget. On the day of my wedding, my parents were scheduled to pick up the bouquets and boutonnieres from the Birmingham location and brought to the church in Birmingham. The centerpieces were scheduled to be delivered to our reception venue in Rochester Hills. However, when my parents arrived to the church, there were no boutonnieres to be found because they were delivered to the reception location. Thankfully the delivery person brought them to the church and there was no problem. Like I said, overall the product was fine, but the I was skeptical of the service all along. With my other vendors, I could tell them what I wanted and I knew they would make my vision happen. With Linda at Thrifty, she seemed so scatterbrained that I was certain something would go wrong.

The woman who was working there at the time was very friendly and offered to help if we needed it, but did not bug us while we browsed. I only needed a bouquet for myself to carry during the ceremony as it was a very non-traditional wedding and there were no other flowers at all. I was going to go with fresh flowers, as they will wrap them with ribbon into a beautiful bouquet for you. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find exactly what I wanted. However, I found a gorgeous silk bridal bouquet for a very reasonable price and was able to use that. I'm very glad I did because I can keep the flowers exactly as they came forever.

I walked into Thrifty Florist less than 6 weeks before my wedding not having the slightest clue what I wanted other than knowing I wanted blue flowers and that I planned to buy the flowers and have my mom make the bouquets. The staff there was very helpful, they showed me a bunch of books and pictures they had to help me get an idea of what I was looking for. After determining exactly what I wanted they helped me to figure out how many of each flower and greenery I would need. Even though I was getting married on Mother's Day weekend they didn't charge me any extra for the flowers. There aren't many blue flowers so part of what I ordered was white hydrangeas that were sprayed blue. When I went to pickup the flowers the day before the wedding they sprayed the hydrangeas right there on the spot. The flowers stayed healthy and beautiful all through the next night. Excellent price and amazing value!

Thrifty Florist is the perfect option for someone who is looking to save a little money on their flowers, but still receive great quality and great service. Linda was amazing and although I wasn't quite sure what I wanted when I met with her she helped me figure out my vision then achieve it under budget. The flowers for the tables and bouquets were a dream come true.

I searched high and low for cheap fresh flowers that would match my coral wedding color and Thrifty was it! I would definitely recommend them if you are trying to save money. The only thing is there is one lady that serves a few different stores and is really busy.

We used Thrifty florist for our coursages & bouts. They looked lovely and were a great price. We waited until (almost) the last minute to order, but Thrifty was able to accommodate us. Flowers were ready on time to be picked up.
