Dana and the Thyme & Details team are absolutely brilliant. Dana is beyond incredibly talented at crafting incredible memories for your wedding day/event. Dana took the time to meet with us with made us feel so special. Not only did she make our vision a reality but took it to the next level with things we never even thought of. We would bring up an idea and she would elevate it. Simply amazing and incredible. I would not change a thing about the process. Dana is organized, keeps you in budget, provides you with options, resourceful, caring, incredibly professional and a fantastic human being with sustainability in mind. My favorite part: getting to know Dana - she will always put you first and listen to you. Thank you for all your attention to detail and taking care of us.

One of the major reasons I decided to hire a wedding planner was based on the fact that I wanted me, my spouse, and our families to fully enjoy the day without stressing about the details. I am so lucky to have had Thyme & Details because not only did that happen, but they went above and beyond my expectations in helping plan, organize, and execute the day of my dreams :) I ended up hiring them later in the planning process when I was at a point of feeling overwhelmed with decision fatigue and details. As soon as I met with Dana, I felt this sense of relief which ended up helping me enjoy the rest of planning! Dana and Tara are personable, dedicated, genuine, and experts in their field. The two of them not only helped me explore creative options but also provided so much encouragement along the way. I felt so much support from the two of them and could go on and on about how the two of them are truly such good people who are in this business for the right reasons. They are talented and passionate about what they do and it shows through every interaction with them. Tara was the primary coordinator day of the wedding and she absolutely killed it!! Now that it’s been almost a month since my daughter’s wedding and the dust has settled, I’m sitting down to write my review of Thyme and Details led by owner Dana Watts, our wonderful wedding planner. At first I didn’t think we needed a planner because I was going to help my daughter do it all ourselves, with the day-of assistance provided by our venue, Jorgensen Farms. My daughter and son-in-law had already selected most of the big ticket items - the venue, the florals vendor, the DJ, photographer, cake vendor. But I was persuaded by a close friend who had just made her own daughter’s wedding, as well as my daughter, that we needed a planner to help during the months leading up to, and on the day of the wedding, so that we wouldn’t have to be on duty to deal to juggle all the last minute phone calls, questions, scheduling, and any emergencies. Especially because I was in New York, and my daughter was in Columbus. Boy, was that ever a good decision. And better yet was the decision to hire Dana in particular. The word that comes to mind when I think of Dana is “calm”. Any time I spoke to Dana about any of the myriad wedding details or potential problems, she had a smile on her face and a reassuring demeanor. Nothing was impossible or too hard to figure out. She was always responsive. She helped us organize our to do list with Aisle Planner, as well as her gentle, yet persistent reminders of what was due when, and whose task it was. Another great benefit of working with Dana was that she knows all the other vendors in the Columbus area and has an excellent working relationship with so many of them. That was tremendously helpful. We appreciated the emphasis on sustainability and giving back that is Dana’s hallmark. She arranged for donation of unused meals and floral arrangements to benefit the local community. So - many thanks to Dana and her team at Thyme and Details for all she did to make our daughter’s wedding the most memorable and special day. We were so lucky to find her.

Dana and her team went above and beyond to ensure planning my out of state wedding was exactly what I envisioned! From the start of our planning period, up until the day of - Thyme & Detail made me feel loved and had the day running like well oiled machine. If any day-of issues would arise, this team was ON IT! Dana also offered multiple centerpiece rentals and had insight to other vendors that help bring my vision to life. Dana was incredible in every way possible. She was attentive, detailed and wonderful to work with. We are not the greatest at planning and had been putting off our wedding for several years due to anxiety and job stresses. She was extremely personable and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. She helped accommodate our busy schedules and organize all the different vendors. As for the actual wedding, her design ideas, creativity and execution were phenomenal. We are a Chinese-Italian couple and all we had to do was give her ideas and she created an incredible hybrid wedding design, ceremony and reception that was respectful and true to both of our cultures. What can we say about Dana, Tara and the Thyme and Details staff… They were referred to us by a friend who worked with them before, and she spoke very highly of this company. From the initial consultation over the phone, I had a gut feeling that this was going to be the right fit for us. I just knew. Dana’s questions were very detailed and specific to what we were trying to do with our wedding vision, and the staff brought that to life without a doubt. Matt and I LOVED working with this team. From the calls, email follow ups, the in person meetings; it was ALL worth it to us. We were looking specifically for a team that could run the “day of” logistics, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. They made everything that much easier for us, so on the big day, we truly felt like they had everything handled and we didn’t have to worry about every little thing. There are no words to describe how much we enjoyed working with Dana for our wedding. She made our wedding planning experience the most fun, enjoyable and stress-free adventure. From our first introductory call, we could tell that Dana is an extremely capable individual who can understand wedding visions and make them happen. And she definitely delivered. She was present throughout the wedding process assisting with vendor booking, reviewing contracts, sitting in vendor meetings and discussing details of the wedding design. This review is long overdue! My husband and I hired Dana as our day of coordinator for our 10/22/22 wedding, and looking back it was the absolute best decision I made while wedding planning!! From our first phone call I could tell how passionate Dana was about her job & learning more about my vision as a bride. Throughout the entire process Dana understood what I wanted and never made me feel like I needed to change my vision, which I loved! She was kind to offer advice when needed. Dana and her team were absolutely fantastic to work with throughout the wedding process. We used her day of coordination services and even before the wedding she went above and beyond by recommending vendors as well as reached out to them in advance to introduce herself. Dana and her team were incredible the day of our wedding by moving our ceremony arch inside to make it a photo opportunity. Dana and her team made our special day seamless and where we could enjoy every moment with our family and friends without worrying about the logistics. They were instrumental in making it a perfect day!

Working with Dana was nothing short of amazing. She truly goes above and beyond to make sure the big day runs smoothly and that you feel supported the entire way. For example, Dana came to catering and vendor meetings in person. She also was on top of transportation details I hadn't even considered and had communicated with our shuttle company before I even realized it needed to be done. I also got a ton of value out of the organizational tools that come with Dana's services. The peace of mind that working with Dana gave my husband and I during the fun and stressful process of wedding planning made our day so special and beautiful. My husband and I didn't have to sweat the details when the wedding weekend came around, we were able to fully enjoy the day and Dana took care of the rest. Make room for Dana in your budget because her services are worth at least 4x what she charges! Can't recommend Thyme & Details enough. Run, don't walk to book Dana's services for your big day!

Our experience with Dana was truly one in a million! So many details changed over the time we spent working through the ins and outs of our day, including moving it up an entire year! Dana did not hesitate to jump in and help us plan our 140+ person event in less than 3 months! Through all of my indecisiveness and general lack of knowledge in planning such a large event, Dana was always patient and available to offer advise, sustainable solutions, and to generally be the friendly face you need through all of the chaos. Our wedding was perfect and I honestly give all of the credit to Dana! It was an extremely busy day and we did not have to worry about anything except sharing the special moment with our friends and family. I truly do not know what I would have done without the amazing support I received from her. Dana is such a kind person with an abundance of knowledge and experience and I whole heartedly recommend her to plan your special event!

The only two words you need to read are HIRE DANA. Thyme and Details was the picture of professionalism from the first consultation call to the follow up discussion following our special day. Dana made everything so easy! We planned our 200 guest wedding in Ohio from Maryland and it was not the easiest task. (Especially since we had never planned a wedding and being 6 hours away did not help.) Dana immediately put our minds at ease and made the process actually FUN instead of just anxiety inducing. We hired her for the month of services and it was absolutely everything we needed for it all to come together on the day. Of course, we had hiccups come up the day of but I never heard a peep because Dana was putting out fires before we could even stress. She is truly everything you could want in a coordinator. We could not recommend her more!!

I can't imagine our wedding without Thyme & Details! My husband and I got married in November 2022 at the Columbus Art Museum and we used Dana's full service planning option. Dana helped bring my vision of a classy, sophisticated, FUN wedding weekend to life, and kept us calm throughout the planning process. My husband and I both work long hours and knew we wouldn't be able to devote the time it would take to have the beautiful event we both wanted. Dana was incredibly helpful in guiding us through when to make certain decisions, and her organization is on-point (something I knew we'd also need help with!). She is very knowledgeable about local vendors, what to look for, what questions to ask, etc. It was really important to us that we be able to enjoy the big day without any worries and limited stress - Dana and her fantastic team made that happen! When I look at our photos, I have nothing but happy memories and I know Thyme & Details was a huge part of making that happen.

I got married on 10.21.2022 at the Franklin Park Conservatory and hired Dana as my Day of coordinator over 2 years ago. We immediately clicked both having a love for Peru and both getting married in the Palm House. Honestly Dana made my entire wedding day flawless, we had meetings and she was so organized. She knew the venue well, and she set up our decor for us and knew my vision exactly. She is kind and very thoughtful and pays attention to details. I could not have made it through the day without her. She went to our walk through at FPC and gave great suggestions! she also texted me and emailed me to remind me of things I might need or want to consider. Dana is amazing and she is worth every penny and then some. if you have not hired dana as your wedding planner or coordinator you absolutely should do it. I kept putting off writing this review because there are not words to describe how amazing Dana and her team are. I only hired a day-of coordinator because my venue required it ... but thank goodness they did. Not only did Dana make sure everything was on schedule, decorated how I wanted, vendors knew where to go and everything went smoothly, but she worked with me and vendors for months prior to the wedding. We sat down and laid out every small detail. She called vendors to confirm, checked contracts, all the boring things that had to be done that I was dreading. I had literally nothing to worry about on wedding day because Dana and her team made my dreams come true. Please hire Thyme & Details ... you'll be so glad you did.

My partner and I absolutely LOVED working with Dana and her team for our wedding. During the entire wedding-planning process, Dana was very attentive to our questions and helped give us amazing recommendations for our desired vendors. She was extremely knowledgable and helped us plan all the little details needed to achieve our wedding vision. Throughout the wedding day, Dana was extremely attentive to our needs and prepared to help us with all the little things that popped up. In a large part thanks to her and her team, our wedding day was easily the best day of my life and, from my perspective, the day went by perfectly!

When my partner and I were starting to plan our wedding we had really big ambitions for a Halloween themed wedding, and Dana delivered more than we could have ever hoped for. Dana listened to every idea we had, no matter how crazy or unconventional they would be, and always took us seriously. She gave us such a well thought out design that was so personal to us, but seeing her work in other weddings I know that's just how attentive and creative as she is with every one of her clients. Our wedding could have been silly or tacky if handled with a less attentive person, but Dana delivered such an elegant and fun atmosphere that we heard from so many people that this was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to. When she brought us vendors she would bring 3-5 of each. If those didn't work she would bring 3-5 more. If we ever had a problem it was taken care of swiftly and she always made sure we were aware of any others that could arise. She was honest with us about our budget and kept us on track. Dana would often go out of her way to save us money in places so we could do more with it in others. On top of being incredible at her job, she's also very passionate about sustainability and brings Eco-conscious thinking to a normally wasteful industry. She donated our floral arrangements to a charity so they had a second life, and composted all of the food waste and excess pumpkins we had for decoration. Dana even donated one tree for every guest we had at our ceremony which ended up being an excess of 200 people. We would recommend Thyme & Details to anyone looking for a wedding planner. No matter what ideas you have for your wedding, she'll make them into reality and deliver a personal touch in all facets of the job. Words cannot describe how thankful we are to have run into Dana when we were looking for our planner because without her, our Hallowedding would never have been as incredible as it was.

Dana and her team were amazing! My mom and I both work full time jobs and are generally pretty busy so we felt like we needed extra support on the wedding. We weren't sure if we needed a full blown wedding planner or a wedding coordinator so we opted for the hybrid model. My husband and I were engaged for 13 months. We were living in a different state than the wedding so there was a lot of moving parts. It was so nice to check in with Dana to make sure we were on track with vendor agreements, timelines, and just small details to remember. She also provided great recommendations when we weren't sure which vendor to choose. The month / day of the wedding she was on top of everything. I had zero concerns or worries and my mom was able to enjoy the day. I would highly recommend Thyme & Details!

Dana helped us navigate the difficulties of planning a wedding during the pandemic (including the process of booking a new venue and creating an entirely new vision after our first venue closed due to pandemic hardships). Dana is the most incredible, thoughtful day-of wedding coordinator I could have ever hoped for. She ran our rehearsal in the most kind and organized way - helping us all to feel prepared for our ceremony. On the day of our wedding she and her team did an outstanding job setting up and finalizing all the decor and other final details - in some extreme heat, too. She handled a challenge with our shuttle company in the most calm and professional manner after which my mom said, "Dana is unflappable." Hiring Dana was the best decision I could have made when selecting wedding vendors. I cannot say enough good things about what Dana did for us for our wedding day. From the first time we spoke, I knew she would be a great addition to the wedding planning team. I found Thyme & Details via Instagram (and also a recommendation from another vendor) and hired them for month of services. I cannot stress enough how great of a decision this was. Dana met with me a few times prior to the wedding to make sure she understood my vision. She was always quick to respond to questions and almost always had answers (or would find them out for me). Not only did she provide exceptional professional and organizational skills, she was a source of calm during the day of the wedding. Walking into the ceremony and reception I was blown away by the way this team made my vision come to be and more. The wedding was a month ago but I am still hearing from friends about how smoothly the day ran. Having Thyme & Details there to coordinate between all the vendors meant that I was able to truly be present and enjoy time with my loved ones. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I cannot recommend this company enough - It was the best investment for my wedding.

Dana is the consummate professional. It was such a joy and a stress relief to have her coordinate our wedding celebration. We were immediately impressed with her attention to detail and she really helped us stay on track. On the day of the event, we had an isue which required a little improvisation to solve. We stressfully texted Dana asking if it could be fixed and without a hiccup she said "no problem" and it was done. One of Dana's gifts is her diplomatic spirit. As always, there are multiple personalities involved with coordinating large family events and she was a constant in the midst of all discussions. She even tolerated my sense of humor as I told her I was working on an "interpretive dance" for the reception (don't worry, the outfit didn't come in time). I couldn’t have planned my wedding without Dana. She helped with every question I had leading up to the wedding, finalized all of my vendors/timelines while I was living in Hawaii and 6 hours behind, and day of she made sure the day went very smooth. She is absolutely amazing!

Dana is simply excellent. She is punctual, detail-oriented and very kind. I loved that Thyme & Details offers sustainable services (if you so choose) such as leftover food donation or extra florals to a shelter/location of your choosing. With Dana as our coordinator, we were able to leave for our elopement, enjoy our mini-honeymoon and arrive the day of our backyard reception with zero worries about any of the details. She is flexible and smart during these extraordinary times – backyard weddings have a variety of different needs/concerns and she was able to help us along the way and made sure that the event was stunning!
