The biggest problem I had with Timacuan was the lack of communication from the get-go. I initially toured with Dana back in May 2021, but once I wanted to sign and pay our deposit with her, it took over a week to get a hold of her. Communication issues persisted until Dana quit in Oct/Nov 2021 and Amber took over. Honestly, I don't blame Amber at all for any issues I had. Amber was trying her best to pick up the mess and slack that Dana had left for her, not to mention their head chef had quit along with Dana. I will say that Dana promised things that weren't able to be executed in the long-run, but they were minor in the grand scheme of things.
Nonetheless, our wedding turned out amazing and I would still recommend Timacuan to friends/family with the understanding that they may have to tread lightly.

greatest day of our lives! Dana was so easy to get into contact with, was very patient, and answered any and all questions that we had. On the actual day of the wedding, the cake baker did not put flowers on our cake so Dana herself went to publix to make sure we had flowers on the cake just like it was supposed to. In addition to this, at the last minute we decided to have the ceremony inside due to the heat and the whole staff were so calm and easy going about the change.
The chef, Juan, was incredible and all our guests raved about how great the food was and even some guests said "Juan has ruined potatoes for them forever now, as his potato duel swirl was the greatest food they had ever eaten."
I cannot recommend having your wedding here enough. The setting on the golf course was absolutely gorgeous and made for the most beautiful photos and the staff were unmatched. We thank them so much for making our day the greatest and stress free day of our lives!!!

long way. Alexys was responsive, organized and helpful with any questions we had. When she went on maternity leave, Dana picked up right where she left off and helped us leading up to the wedding. Dana went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! It honestly felt like she was family who genuinely wanted our wedding day to be everything we dreamed of.
We used the groom/bridal suite to get ready, and it was spacious and comfortable. We were always being checked on for anything we needed (drinks, food, etc.). The entire staff was so kind, and we rarely had to ask for anything because they were on point! The food was INCREDIBLE! I'm so glad my husband and I were able to sit down and enjoy it, and our guests described the food as "fire!". Everything was delicious and they even made us "go to" boxes.
From start to finish, working with Timacuan was amazing! They made our wedding coordinators job easy and helped make sure everything ran smoothly. If you are on the lookout for a wedding venue, definitely check out Timacuan!

review. The venue was beautifully decorated for the holidays so we didn't have to bring in too much more for the wedding which was a big help. The food was the best I've had at any wedding lately. The staff were all very attentive, nice and professional. We all were a bit nervous and fussy on the day of wedding and we were constantly asking the catering director Denie for help as we were decorating and then getting dressed. I thought we'd drive her crazy with all the requests, but she was so nice and accommodating and helped us with everything we needed. Philip was the coordinator for the ceremony on the patio and during the dinner and he was also very professional and nice. We all loved his accent! I can't say enough about Timacuan and if we decide to not do the destination wedding, we'll be giving Denie a call to see what's available in 2020.

eat recommendations for my photographer, DJ, florist and cake company. Overall, the whole wedding package was perfect and a lot less stressful. There was only one little problem. Denny the catering coordinator was rude to our bridal party on the day of our rehearsal dinner. They were setting up for another party during our rehearsal, which is fine. But the catering coordinator was very rude to me, my mom, my mother in law ( Denny told her to stop sitting in the chairs by the fire place, she has been going through chemo, she’s tired) and my bridal party. Honestly, her attitude was the only down fall. We had a time block for our rehearsal from 4-5pm and she was trying to kick us out by 4:20.

Then my mother told us to check out the newly renovated Timacuan Country Club she heard about. The pictures online don’t do it justice. It’s absolutely beautiful! Look at the pictures and just know that you will be pleasantly surprised when you actually visit the club. One thing you can’t experience however through pictures is David DeAssis. Wow, what a character, what a person. From the onset you need to be prepared for his directness, promptness, professionalism, and absolute care for making your day 100% perfect. I remember sitting down for our first meeting and thinking to myself this place could look like crap but David himself is worth the price of admission. I can’t say enough good things about him from beginning to end. All I can say is you are in the best hands with David. One thing you will also notice is that his leadership extends down to his staff. They are some of the nicest, hard-working, and professional people you will come across. They made my wife and I feel like we were at a 5 star establishment and it is clear that is exactly how David wants it. The way we were treated was second to none. less than an hour or two. If you are planning on getting married here, don't bother hiring a wedding planner or day-of coordinator because you will be wasting your money. David knows weddings like the back of his hand, and he was truly a joy to work with. The few small hiccups we had on the wedding day were quickly dealt with without adding stress to my morning. Most people say that weddings always run behind - mine was perfectly on time. In fact, we were ready a few minutes early for everything.
The cost per head is a little bit higher than quoted elsewhere, but it includes EVERYTHING - full meal, alcohol, champagne toast, hors d'oeuvres, linens, etc. Even the CAKE was included in the price per head. Yes, the Cake - one less bill to pay elsewhere! So once you start adding all of that into the other venues' quotes, you reach the same amount very quickly. We also did the Venetian Dessert Station, which was a HUGE hit - almost all of the dessert was gone! The actual rental fee for the space is minuscule compared to the $1,500-$4,000 rental fees I had quoted at other venues, so that was a huge bonus for me, as I was able to allocate that money elsewhere. Speaking of the venue, it is GORGEOUS. I did very minimal decorations, as the big wooden beams, crystal chandeliers, gigantic windows, and marble bar & wall spoke for themselves. If you want Wow-factor, this venue has it. My wedding of 110 fit perfectly in the ceremony and dining spaces without having to squeeze anyone, or feeling like a big empty ballroom.
Overall, my wedding had rave reviews, from beginning to end. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding!

The best advice I can give anyone looking for a wedding reception venue is RUN to Timacuan. Take David's recommendations (they are spot on) and eliminate all stress! The cake, DJ, photo booth, florist, all were recommended by David. Everyone's services exceeded all expectations!!

They recently (in the past few years) remodeled with gorgeous chandeliers, a striking bar area, and a cozy and modern bridal suite and locker room for the gentlemen. For our meal, we chose to do a buffet instead of a plated service, and the food was amazing! Our guests could not stop talking about the dinner selection, and even my father (a self-proclaimed food snob) was incredibly impressed and proclaimed it was hands-down the “best wedding food I’ve ever had.” David DeAssis, operations manager, acted as the day-off coordinator in addition to helping us every step of the planning process in making the necessary decisions leading up to the big day. We will also be eternally grateful for David’s quick responsiveness and flexibility during our event, as we had a bit of a “family emergency” mid-ceremony (everyone is okay though, thank goodness!) David took charge when we needed him to, and kept our event flowing as close to “as-planned” as possible. All in all, it is a lovely venue and you should definitely check it out!
