Beautiful venue with gorgeous views. Cheri was awesome, some issues popped up day-of but things went off without a hitch and ran very smoothly!
Cheri was my saving grace and sanity through the entirety of my wedding planning process. Obviously, when planning and coordinating is your career, you tend to know what you're doi...
ng - she is no exception to that logic.
We chose Timber Hall for our venue simply for the fact that it is a beautiful location and very friendly to our budget. We expected a gorgeous fall wedding in the mountains and an intimate reception in a charming wooden event hall. Those expectations, were, of course, exceeded, but what we didn't expect was the unwavering support that Cheri and her team provided us throughout the entire planning process. It's obvious that they take pride in their business and truly love to make your day the most stress-free and special it can be. Cheri was available to me at any question, concern, or crisis that I could have possibly had (including firing our caterer two weeks out!), and I could not ever thank her enough for the support I felt from her.
Cheri and her team were amazing. The venue was gorgeous! Would definitely recommend to anyone getting married!
My husband and I got married at Timber Hall on Oct. 25th, and it was absolutely superb! And all of our guests were blown away by how gorgeous the venue was! Throughout the entire p...
lanning process, Cheri was available to give us recommendations, answer our questions, and she let us stop by multiple times to plan decor. She is fiercely protective of her couples and ensured that we didn't pay for things that Timber Hall could provide and that everything went smoothly on the day of. She was also very communicative while we were deciding whether or not to reschedule our wedding because of Hurricane Helene. The hurricane hit WNC on Sept. 27th, and by Oct. 1 Cheri had already emailed to say that Timber Hall was undamaged, the roads were clear, and they were hopeful for getting power and water back. She also emailed on Oct. 3 to say that she'd be happy to reschedule for Sundays in 2025, and on Oct. 11 to say that they officially had water, power, and internet back. Recovery after the hurricane has been extremely stressful for everyone in the community, but Cheri did everything she could to help make our wedding day full of joy and love - and it was!
I cannot write a more positive review for Timber Hall Events. Throughout our entire wedding, our guests were saying that the venue was one of the most beautiful they have ever been...
too. And not to toot our own horn....but it surely was. We visited the venue throughout different times of the year, and it was incredible every time. The location was perfect too - not too far from downtown Asheville but still far enough to where you felt privacy and peacefulness.
My wedding was one week after a natural disaster that impacted my community and therefore the venue. I am so thankful for the expansive, consistent and detailed communication that I was able to have with venue owner during this time of unknowns. Cheri (the venue owner) always got back to me as soon as she could, and we brainstormed so many ways to make my perfect day a reality after everything our community went through. She was easily willing to let us reschedule the wedding, but I trusted her team so much that we ended up having the wedding as planned.
It was an absolutely perfect day. Timber Hall looked gorgeous. The team working was able to help me set up everything the morning of and they were so kind and fun. Cheri is incredibly organized with all the day of details that I didn't even need to hire a wedding planner. She did the rehearsal day of with our wedding party, organized all the incoming vendors, and let me know when it was time to do whatever was needed next. I would trust Cheri with my life at this point, hahaha.
The price point for this venue was amazing, especially with all the amenities you get (tables, chairs, decor, etc.). WNC is a wedding hotspot and so many venues charge an exorbitant amount of money because they know you'll do whatever to have the perfect wedding day. What stuck with me about Timber Hall Events the first time meeting with them is that their motto was wanting to have anyone have the most special wedding day of their life, regardless of their income.
Timber Hall Events exceeded my expectation of what my wedding day would look like. I'm so grateful for their whole team for giving my husband and I the most special day ever. I would recommend this venue for anyone - weddings, baby showers, etc. It's a special place.
My son and his fiancé were unfortunate enough to choose Timber Hall Events for their wedding this month. My son and 90% of his wedding party are either police officers or first res...
ponders and are deemed essential personnel. They are working over 12 hours a day and will not be given any days off in the foreseeable future. This horrible woman basically laughed at my son’s fiancé when she tried to reschedule for next year. This review is in direct response to both her terrible customer Service, disrespectful behavior, and her Google updated post that she’s trying to work with people during this horrible time. It has been our experience that this statement is incorrect. Not only was she not willing to work with them she cashed the final check that they had sent her as soon as the bank opened after the hurricane.. She has turned what was supposed to be the best time of their life into a nightmare. I wish I could give her negative stars. This is supposed to be a veteran run business. I have 37 years in the military and this is not the behavior of anyone that has values of any sort.
For an upcoming wedding, the groom and half the wedding party are first responders. The groom can't even guarantee he'll be able to be there for his own wedding, and out of town gu...
ests aren't allowed into the area. Cheri refuses to reimburse the couple their $7,000 and won't allow adequate rescheduling. Disrespectful treatment of folks working on the frontline doing Search and Rescue (mostly body recovery at this point) during the fallout of the worst natural disaster to hit our area in a thousand years. Shame on this venue.
I had my wedding at this venue on June 7, 2024. Cheri is absolutely incredible. She is extremely prompt, readily available, happy to help, and will always support you in having you...
r vision come to life. She made the entire process completely smooth and eliminated almost all my stress! The day of was perfect, and in large part that was due to her, her staff, and her list of preferred vendors. I literally just went down the list she provided and every one of my vendors was absolutely fabulous. I worried about literally nothing. My only regret is that I booked a wedding planner before reading her website in detail- with Cheri's help, you really don't need one. As far as bang for your buck, this is 100% the best deal that my husband and I were able to find in Asheville and all surrounding areas. The venue is absolutely breathtaking. Cheri and her fam are always making the cutest additions. And the best thing about the entire experience is that Cheri has become a friend.
Stunning venue. Excellent value, Cheri is fantastic. Highly recommend. Best day 6/14/24

was there answering all of my questions and making sure I had everything I wanted. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the services Cheri provides are unmatched. All of our guests loved their experience and commented all night how smooth the night went. I cannot thank them enough!
Would absolutely recommend Timber Hall Events! We had our wedding on 6/10/23 and everything was perfect thanks to Cheri & her team. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and requ...
ires no decoration because the ceremony site and gardens are beautifully maintained, the mountain backdrop is breathtaking, and Cheri has a closet full of decorations to choose from including chargers, table cloths, runners, napkins, vases, fake candles, you name it. We loved that the venue was geared towards enjoying the outdoors and stunning mountain views with the covered front porch and patio for cocktail hour and dancing. Many guests said this was the most beautiful wedding venue they had been to. Cheri is down to earth and has answers for all your questions and many ideas of how to save money while achieving your wedding vision. She acts as the day of coordinator and was so helpful in making the day run smoothly. So happy we chose Timber Hall!
I cannot say enough about Timber Hall and the owner Cheri! Cheri has created the most perfect wedding venue. I am so thankful that I went with Timber Hall for my wedding. Not only ...
is the venue stunning, I found that the services Cheri provides made planning less stressful and our wedding day less stressful too. I planned my wedding by myself and with the package I chose the table settings, linens, chairs, tables, catering materials and more were all included so I didn't have to worry about renting. And I was able to use the decorations she already had so I got to save money on decorations that I wouldn't use again after the wedding. With the wedding package I purchased, we were able to spend the day at the venue Friday before the wedding to set up everything to our specifications and have our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The view from the porch of the reception hall is beautiful and all of our guests took amazing photos in front of the surrounding mountains. The venue is far from busy roads so the whole site is very quiet. We got so many compliments on the venue and many said that it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to. And that is all thanks to Cheri! My favorite part of the whole venue is the outdoor ceremony location. The pictures speak for themselves. And last but not least, Cheri also acted as my day of coordinator and made sure everything ran smoothly and our day went off without a hitch! I would recommend this venue to anyone who is interested in having a stunning wedding and saving themselves some stress and money!

about us and that everything flowed smoothly. She also was more than happy to answer all of my questions (sometimes 2-3x over.) We got so many compliments about the site too! The price is beyond fair, especially for all the beauty, accommodations, and support you will receive. We could not be more grateful to her for opening her venue to us!!
Timber Hall Events is incredibly beautiful. The location is absolutely gorgeous, and the venue itself is lovely. Additionally, Cheri and Cindi are both incredibly sweet and helpful...
. They were easy to work with and did a great job of making what could have been a super hectic day feel a bit easier. I can't recommend this venue enough!

zing outdoor spaces with great seating. The landscaping is absolutely stunning against the backdrop of the beautiful mountains. Cheri was super flexible when we wanted to do food stations instead of the typical buffet. She is so down to earth and easy to work with. TImber Hall accommodated our every need and more! Timber Hall provides a great value in a super pricey Asheville wedding venue market - amazing bang for your buck. We were so lucky to find Cheri and Timber Hall - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

ardens. And that is just the start- you have a room filled with decor to choose from as well as linens and plateware/glassware/flatware provided. And most of all you have Cherri who stays with you the entire way making sure that you get your dream wedding. You leave not only celebrating and getting married at a beautiful place but you leave with a new friend in Cherri because she Caters to her Brides so much and her naturally warm friendly personality makes it feel so comfortable.
We can't even begin to describe how thankful we are for Cheri and the overall experience at Timber Hall. Cheri is amazing and creates such a laid-back, family friendly environment....
She puts such care into making the venue as perfect as it can be and it looks magical. We did the rehearsal and wedding at Timber Hall and both were great. Cheri handles those little details that aren't always thought of and everything went so smoothly. Would highly recommend!
My now husband and I sprung for the Oak package so we could have the venue for 3 full days and I’m so glad we did! Cheri (the owner) is such a wonderful lady and she does everythin...
g she can to help make your day perfect! And our was beyond perfect! Highly highly recommend this venue! So beautiful!
o I’ve said it many times during the wedding planning, and I will tell everyone I ever talk to about my wedding: Cheri and Timber Hall helped save my wedding. After my previous ven...
ue decided that they were closing, and making excuses about what they could and couldn’t do (including asking us to change the date of our wedding); my fiancé and I were out $1000 and a venue.
Through a recommendation of a friend, I reached out to Cheri and asked her what she was able to do with what our budget was and what we were looking for. Instantly, we were treated like family, and I knew we couldn’t even consider anywhere else.
After we booked, Cheri made sure to stay in touch – even calling just to ask how my planning was going, and checking in on how I was doing, making sure I wasn’t stressing myself out too much. Day of, her and her daughter went above and beyond everything even I could have thought of to make sure that my day was perfect, including picking up where other vendors were slacking. I cannot overstate how much they’ve done, and how much I recommend them to anyone considering an outdoor/barn/wooded venue.
Thank you….so much, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you did for our day, behind the scenes and all. <3
Cheri was truly a god-send! She made everything about planning a wedding easier! First of all, Timber Hall is absolutely beautiful and requires little to no decorations and is such...
a VALUE! All the tables/chairs/linens are included in the up-front price so there were no extra costs. We also got to pick our own vendors. We even got to rehearse there for free on Friday and have a small dinner in the picnic area. Would HIGHLY recommend this venue! WE loved hosting our wedding here!
