We want with one videographer, which seemed to work okay for previous couples and allowed us to remain more within our budget. On wedding day, the videographer Toast sent (Chris) was kind and very low maintenance. He handled all of his equipment, worked with our photographer to capture his shots alongside her, and blended in with the wedding in a seamless way. We really appreciated this as the day can quickly split your attention in different ways and we also just wanted to take in all the joys of our wedding without having to worry or feel pulled in many different directions. Constructive Feedback and Reservations: - What meant a lot to us and what we communicated to Toast was the importance of our first dance. For context, our DJ made a song mash up and one of our students helped choreograph our first dance. The dance was a total hit at the wedding and got everyone super jazzed! We wanted this well captured but what we received in video form weeks later was a true disappointment. The video was captured distantly from our backside and it looked as though someone captured it with their home security camera. And this was the only angle and only shot it was taken from. The one thing we reiterated and it just felt like the entire ball was dropped on this. Our photographer captured great photos of the dance, but again, what we really wanted the videographer for, they really dropped the ball on. - Poor angle and little movement was a recurring theme. Once our videographer picked a spot, they wouldn’t move from it. In our ceremony, when our wedding party and we, the bridge and groom, processed out, the entire video was just again captured from one spot covering mainly our backside. There was little to no movement. We hate to write this but it just felt a bit lazy and ill planned. Knowing what we know now, we certainly would have selected more than 1 videographer for our wedding day, as that may have addressed some of these concerns. - The first cropped video of our wedding day that we received from Toast felt pretty low effort and not great. The editing, scene switching, and anecdotes selected from the speeches felt as though little thought was put into it. For example, at one point, the speech they included cut off at a point where a groomsmen was saying of the bride, “you bring out the best in him… and the worst”. The speech had a lot of content and that just felt like a poor snippet to pick. HOWEVER, Toast was more than willing to incorporate edits. Granted, it took all of the rounds they offered to get it fully to what we found as acceptable (I promise we are not super high maintenance or have insane standards, the starting product we received was just a bit disappointing especially given the prices we are paying). We really appreciated their kindness and support here as well. They literally allowed us to look at their entire music collection so we could pick the songs we liked for the video. Overall, we understood that going with a more budget friendly videography company wouldn’t necessarily equate to getting the highest quality product per se. But again, missing out on the pieces of the wedding that meant the most to us was unfortunate. However, the Toast is very nice, really accommodating, and easy to work with. They will go above and beyond to support you as a customer as best as they can. Just be mindful of how many shooters you go with (more would be better), consider coaching where they should be and what they should capture (actively coaching), and recognize that it is more affordable than other companies which is a huge plus as well.

Our videographer, Gezim, was great to work with for the day. He had never met our photographer before, and they were still able to collaborate wonderfully throughout the day. They collaborated so effortlessly that everyone thought they came as a team. Gezim got so many great shots of important moments that we will now get to relive forever!! We love the way our wedding film came out. We got a highlight film as well as a documentary-style edit with major moments. Toast gave us the option to make edits to our highlight which was so great. We barely made any though because it was practically perfect the first time- we just wanted to change the opening song and Julianna sent us a wide array of songs we can choose from to do so. Toast has been a breeze to work with. It is clear their team knows what they are doing and does it well. We cannot recommend them enough!
