We chose Tommy Gatz Entertainment for our lighting, DJ music, photography, cinematography, event planning and coordination. Tommy Gatz Entertainment did a phenomenal job! Our wedding day definitely would not have been possible without them. From the first moment we met with them, they made sure we were comfortable and were very willing to work with our needs. We were a young couple and they were very catering and helpful in guiding us through all the works. They had lots of experience doing weddings and were able to give us advice and suggestions. On the day of the wedding, they provided coordinators that made sure everything went smoothly behind the scenes so that we could actually enjoy our own wedding stress-free. Valerie, Rachel, Tommy, Mike, and the rest of TGE crew did an amazing job! The photos came out beautiful and the video captured all the right moments. There were some moments that we didn’t even notice them capturing! The venue was gorgeous with all the up-lighting and the music was on point. Tommy did an amazing job DJing our wedding. Having the Tommy Gatz Entertainment team to DJ, coordinate, and light our wedding was the best decision we made. Tommy and his staff were the best. When we went for our initial consultation with Tommy, he spun for us so we could get a feel for his company's DJ style and my husband knew immediately that he was our guy. Tommy knew exactly how to read the crowd to get people dancing and having fun, he even got my husband's 91 year old grandma wanting to dance! I knew that I just had to have Tommy Gatz Entertainment as my videographer when I was brought to tears while watching one of their wedding videos. They have a unique ability to capture the excitement and love encompassing a couple on their wedding day so that it becomes palpable to the viewer, and no other videographer I considered could match their talent. Working with Valerie, the coordinator, was amazing because she kept everyone on the same page and managed all of the potential problems that arose. Valerie is very knowledgeable and will help you make a realistic timeline for your wedding day that also allows you to achieve all of your goals for that day. She thinks about all of the little potential snags and helps you come up with solutions. Our final videos were incredible. As I had hoped, I could not stop crying. I am going to cherish these videos for years to come and can't wait to show them to my children and grandchildren one day.

We wanted to ensure our guests had a wonderful time at our reception, and we knew the music would play a large role in that. Tommy Gatz Entertainment was absolutely fantastic, and we couldn't be happier that we chose them for our reception! We had some extra challenges in planning our wedding. Not only were we planning the wedding from Alabama, and were only able to come up to Annapolis just one time from the time we got engaged until our wedding weekend, but we also planned the entire wedding in 4 months! It was so nice to know we were in good hands with Valerie and Tommy and had no worries that the music would be great and the reception would flow smoothly. One of the great things about Tommy Gatz Entertainment is you not only get a fantastic DJ but you also have a reception coordinator. Being able to plan out the flow of the reception and knowing we would not have to worry about making sure that things like toasts, the first dance, cake cutting, and the send out would happen when they were supposed to really allowed us to just enjoy the reception and celebrating with our guests. Tommy Gatz Entertainment should be everyone's first and last stop when beginning their search for wedding entertainment. From the moment you first meet them all the way through to the end of your event, they treat you like family. Unlike other companies where you are simply a number, they treat you as if your a member of their family, hugs included. When you need to ask them a question you always get a response. All meetings are conducted in person, not via telephone or chat or video conference but in person at their studio. The first meeting including meeting the founder, Tommy Gatz and Valerie his head coordinator who doubles as his mom as well. This is truly a family operation at its finest. Tommy asks you simple and fun questions about what type of music you like and then right there mixes stuff for you live so you get a feel for what they offer. Valerie, is top notch and so very clutch when its crunch time. If it was not for her, our wedding would most likely have run over and we would have lost precious moments towards the end. But she kept everything moving and even during the most stressful parts she was a cool as a cucumber. My wife and I would 100% recommend Tommy Gatz Entertainment for all your music needs. October 1st 2016 will be a date I will remember for the rest of my life. My name is Eddie Conway I am the owner of Garry’s Grill & Catering in Severna Park. In my years of catering I have worked alongside many different DJs, and wedding planners. Therefore choosing one for our day was a tough task. I can say without a doubt choosing Tommy Gatz Entertainment and his staff was the best decision Allison and I made for our wedding. From the first sit down with Tommy and Valerie they showed the utmost professionalism. They made Allison and I feel like we were family. Every bride and groom going through the “wedding process” knows how stressful it can be. Finding a purveyor that can relive just a little bit of that stress is an incredible partner to have on your side. Here is Allison and my back story; We were supposed to be married October 1st 2016 at the Winery at Elk Manor in Northeast MD. The gentleman who ran the winery took our money along with 20 other brides and grooms, closed down due to being charged with money laundering and tax evasion. This all happened July 1st 2016 giving Allison and I 60 days to find a new venue. With that venue a wedding planner was to come with the day of planning. We went to Tommy and Valerie to explain the situation. Without missing a beat Valerie stepped up, took the reins, and helped us plan the whole wedding. Her and Tommy came out to our new venue (a back yard with little power) and plotted the whole thing out. We went in to their office showing zero nerves but screaming on the inside and left that meeting calm as a cucumber. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people are late in general. My motto is the same as Vince Lombardi’s “To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is to be forgotten.” Tommy and his Team were “on time” by an hour to ensure all lighting, sound, and photography were in place. I asked Tommy why they were so early. His response is something I remember, “I’m early to every event, you never know what could happen and you always have to be ready, by being early you plan for any mishaps and have time to fix them.” Did I mention it rained from morning to night and nothing missed a beat. Tommy’s Djing was absolutely catered to the crowd. He played every song Allison and I requested. My family being from New York, they know how to burn up a dance floor. He made sure that happened. Once everything was wrapped up Tommy sent us pictures and the video in 4 weeks! When you get married of course you want to see the photos and video to remember the greatest day of your life. We went to his office to watch the video, where Allison and I relived our night. It was perfect. Tommy wanted to make sure we had it before Thanksgiving so we could show our family and friends. It shows how much he really cares. A true testament of a professional is not being seen or heard during an event. This allows the guests of honor feel truly that, honored. I can say from the bottom of my heart that Tommy Gatz entertainment 100% made Allison and my wedding what it was and we could not have done it without the help of him and his team. I've been in the events industry for over 5 years and have been dealing with the team at Tommy Gatz Entertainment personally for the past three. So, when it came time for mine and David’s wedding I knew right where to go. The team provided my DJ Music, custom up- lighting, professional photography and cinematography, photo booth and a Day of Coordinator and for me, with my busy schedule (and David’s lack of wedding experience lol) the team pulled together as I've seen them do a million times before and made the experience stress free and flawless! Wow this was a great experience to have Tommy Gatz entertainment take care of the lighting and DJ services. We got way more than that that! A professional staff, Valerie the Day of Coordinator who made sure we were on time for all portions of the wedding. DJ Tommy Gatz who is not only one of the best DJs we worked with but had fun during the entire night setting the tone for the evening. With everything that goes into planning your wedding, knowing you have someone by your side through the process that isn’t your mother or sister (who will just tell you you’re right), having someone who will give an honest opinion and tell you when you’re trying to do too much is a godsend. Working with Valerie at Tommy Gatz Entertainment and being able to use her for her years of knowledge was priceless. I think I read one too many “add this to your wedding pinterest ideas” but she brought me back down to earth and made sure we remembered what was important. We had just the right amount of special moments so that they really were special and Tommy helping with our song list and working with us to make sure we weren’t too all over the place was invaluable. I can’t thank them for all of their input and expertise. They truly are the professionals.

All I can say is WOW! I know I booked a fairly standard ballroom for my wedding, but when Tommy showed us in our appointment what could be done with lighting I was amazed... what truly was flooring was walking into the ballroom completely transformed by his vision! I can't say how many emails and texts I've had about the wedding and how beautiful it was (but clearly I had some expert help!) Thank you again for taking my ordinary and making it extraordinary! XO

It was such a wonderful experience working with the entire Tommy Gatz Entertainment team. We’re glad that we made the extra investment in the lighting and the emcee. I think it made all the difference in making sure our guests were engaged at all times. The lighting was gorgeous and really helped to transform the ballroom and accent my bridesmaid’s colors. e are so thankful to the entire Tommy Gatz Entertainment Team for everything they did to make our wedding outstanding. Our venue coordinator wasn't really interested in helping execute the day of events and Tommy's team was there in an absolute bind. I'm so glad, as a bride, that they offer planning services, I really needed more guidance than I initially thought and were able to step in with their expertise and make sure everything we needed to do "the special moments" weren't missed. I can never truly express my gratitude other than making known what a great organization they have and that you would be smart to really consider them when planning your wedding. Everything for our wedding was truly perfect thanks to them.

Tommy was by far the perfect DJ for us. He was the first DJ we met in person, and we knew we needed to look no further. He was incredibly flexible to arrange meeting times and the first with an actual office for us to meet in, and he was our most responsive vendor throughout the planning process. We merely provided him with a list of our favorite party songs and our “do not play it your life depends upon it” songs, and he had everything he needed to wow all of our guests. Tommy and his team did everything we requested the night of our wedding, and our dance floor was packed all night. Everyone commented on what a great job he did.

DJ I have no idea how this guy has 5 stars. I really don't. I went to a wedding last night where this guy was the DJ and not only did he not play the correct songs for the bridal party entrance, he also didn't notice he had a "corrupt file" for their first dance. In the beginning of their dance, the song suddenly started playing a different song. The DJ started the song over (which was strange) and at the same point of the song, a different song started playing. He stops the song and announces that he was very sorry, but he had a corrupt file and had to find a different one which would take a minute. The bride and groom just stood in the middle of the dance floor until a wedding guest, who had the song on her phone, went up to the DJ booth so he could play it using an audio cord to her phone. It was ridiculous and they were embarrassed and upset. No one should have a first dance with anxiety like that. He apologized to them for the incident but the damage was already done. The DJ would frequently walk away from his booth after pressing play on what seemed like a playlist. I have a mac computer too and could probably have done that. The DJ would frequently call the bride and groom out to the dance floor even when they had just sat down to try to eat or was taking pictures with their family and friends. He also asked the bridal party to "get the soul train started" but they were not in the room! The groomsmen were outside having a cigar with the groom when they were "summoned" so they put them out and ran in but it was just so unnecessary. It was also as though he took no time to get to know the bride and groom to figure out the music they would like to hear, but rather googled "generic wedding playlist" and played that, including "Celebration" and "We Are Family." The last thing I need to mention is his "day of coordinator" Valerie. This woman should never work a wedding ever again. She was so over involved in literally everything. She tried to plan the day out to the tee and I appreciate where she was coming from, but things change during a wedding day and she couldn't adapt to changes. Every single thing was so micromanaged it was crazy. She stood right next to the bride and groom during their cake cutting and is undoubtedly in their photos. She walked across the dance floor right after the bridal party entrances which drew unnecessary attention to her. She would linger in guests conversations and was honestly a nuisance. She went up to the DJ booth throughout the reception and raised her voice to him when they disagreed (not loud enough to be heard, but they were visually arguing in the front of the room). It was so unprofessional and honestly made me think she was his mother, which she honestly might be but either way, their interactions were not professional. Valerie was also not easy to work with during the course of planning the wedding. She frequently pushed back against the wishes of the bride and even called late at night (about 10:30pm) during the week to go over details. I would not recommend this DJ service to anyone.

From the moment we met with Valerie and Tommy from TGE we instantly clicked. We referred by family friends to use Tommy Gatz for our June 2016 wedding. Our first meeting was great and we really got a feel for how family oriented and caring the company was. Most companies give you a quote without ever even having a meeting, so we felt that Tommy was really taking the time to get to know what kind of people we were and our taste. The process from there on was simple leading up to our wedding. Valerie and Tommy were always responsive when we had questions via emails or phone calls. The walkthrough at our venue with Tommy and Valerie went smoothly thanks to TGE. We were in great hands! We absolutely loved working with this company! We cannot recommend Tommy Gatz Entertainment enough for a wedding or any event. They handled everything professionally and made our day that much more special. The music was amazing and you could tell the whole team really cared. We can’t say enough good things about TGE.

My wife and I knew we were going to be doing the lion’s share of the planning for our daughter’s wedding since she and her fiancé were both serving in the Navy. Busy professional ourselves, we weren’t exactly sure how that was going to work out. Our initial steps walking around our first bridal show didn’t help ease our concerns about working with the many different vendors we’d need…but then we met Tommy and Valerie from Tommy Gatz Entertainment. We were immediately impressed; both were impeccably dressed and incredibly professional in their presentation, and at the same time both were so personable and welcoming that we felt immediately at ease talking with them about our daughter’s upcoming wedding just over a year away. We learned that Tommy’s company offered almost all of the services we wanted for our daughter’s special day. We were hooked. Over several planning meetings we learned something else. Tommy and Valerie were as interested in getting to know us as we were in getting to know them. Our planning sessions usually ended with a wonderful chat about family and friends – we knew this was becoming a special relationship, and we count Tommy and Valerie as friends to this day. We ultimately decided to have Tommy provide most of the major services for the wedding – DJ, lighting and sound for both the ceremony and reception, an event coordinator, photo booth, photography, videography, MC – so many things included in one place, with only one point of contact instead of several for all the individual services – what an amazing stress reliever! We also realized that we were saving money by going with Tommy for all these combined needs. In the end it was such a simple decision, and we never thought twice about it. The day of the wedding was incredible for all the reasons you’d expect but also because Tommy, Valerie, and their entire crew of amazing professionals did everything possible to make it a special day. From start to finish it all flowed smoothly. Part of that was the extraordinary amount of planning we'd all done. The larger parts, though, were the crew’s exceptional attention to detail in everything they did, and their ability to adapt on the fly for all the deviations from the plan that occur during any event. We attribute that to their complete professionalism but also to their intimate knowledge of what we were looking for on this special day after all of the personal conversations we’d had. Their personal care didn’t stop when the event was over, either. Within short weeks we had hundreds of perfect photographs and a video capturing the day so perfectly that it moves us no matter how many times we watch it. We also have good friends in Tommy and Valerie, whom we know were as invested emotionally in the wedding as we were. As a bride, Tommy Gatz Entertainment was a dream come true. They are a one stop shop for the most important aspects of your wedding with the highest quality in all areas. They were professional, courteous, and catered to all of our needs. We received so many compliments after the wedding regarding the uplighting and have even been asked by many to provide them with the D.J. information. They even assist the couple in planning the itinerary and were available to attend other meetings in order to make sure everything went smoothly. The photographers and videographers went above and beyond to make sure that they captured the entire day. They truly cared that our day was perfect and it was!!

Tommy was the DJ during our reception last 3/23 in Annapolis, MD. Since he started playing music, guests were NONSTOP DANCING on the dance floor. He can gage the audience music preference and can keep the rhythm of the party. Many of our guests were Spanish speakers and he had a fantastic variety of spanish songs (salsa, merengue and some hip hop) to take into account the diversity of the guests. From Michael Jackson, to Gangman Style to Victor Manuelle and LMFAO, if you can think of a great song for your wedding, Tommy has it and will make sure you hear it, dance to it, and never forget it!
