Katie, owner of Tone Events, was flawless. Her design creativity, communication skills, people skills and knowledge of the industry were beyond beyond. She listened to our wishes and created the perfect wedding for our daughter and her new husband. She was also very sensitive to our budget and charges a very fair amount for the NYC wedding industry. As the Mother of the Bride, I highly recommend her to plan your perfect day! Katie is a “diamond in the rough”.

She was so wonderful to work with. She kept us on task during the many months leading up to the wedding and always came prepared to every meeting. Our venue was an empty space, so every single detail of our wedding needed to be completely designed. We discussed our style & vision with Katie and she made it all happen. She took small details of what we were looking for and designed a gorgeous ceremony and reception. We especially appreciated her in the weeks leading up to the wedding – any question we had or any issue that came up, she was on it, was very responsive and communicative, and tried to take care of the details herself while we got to focus on the stuff that matters leading up to our big day. In our thank you speech at our wedding we thanked our family & friends who showed up for our wedding, & Katie, because she was so integral to making that day happen how we envisioned.

Katie is truly amazing!! We were so lucky to work with her during such a special time in our lives! We hired Katie to help with the planning in the final several months leading up to our wedding in April of 2022. She immediately took an incredible amount of time to study all contracts end-to-end and get involved with all outstanding planning questions; my mom and I were so impressed with how quickly she got involved - it felt as if she’d been part of the journey all along! Her attention to detail and eagerness to do whatever she can to help are truly amazing qualities - and exactly what you hope to find to help manage the (fun) chaos leading up to your wedding day! She also had such fantastic ideas and visions for our wedding day that added such a special touch to our day! Now for the wedding day itself - just WOW! Katie and her team did it all! It’s hard to imagine when you’re so involved in all that leads up to the big day that you’ll be able to forget about the logistics (especially for the mother of the bride) but we fully trusted that Katie had crossed every “T” and dotted every “I” and she sure did! She and her team did not miss a beat - and the day flowed so seamlessly. It was the best day of our lives and we credit Katie for allowing us to be able to just soak it all in and enjoy every minute with our friends and family! Even important than her work itself is the fact that Katie is such an amazing person and truly such a pleasure to work with and be around. She is extremely responsive and always upbeat and solution-oriented. All of our vendors echoed that sentiment - and they had such a great experience working her and benefiting from her tremendous organization and wonderful ideas! We really can’t imagine the process without Katie - and can’t recommend her enough to be a part of your wedding, too!

My husband and I hired Katie at Tone Events to help us in the final planning stages of our wedding. It was one of the best decisions we made! Katie got to know us as people and as a couple. After hiring her, she sent us an adorable gift basket - complete with dog biscuits because she knew we have a fur baby! Closer to the wedding, she gave us bandanas for both of our pups (we got another one a few months before the wedding, lol). I’d like to think I’m an organized person, but I would have been lost without Katie’s color coded check lists! She helped us with items we didn’t know we needed and kept everyone in the loop with plans and logistics. While we had the major stuff (venue, photographer, DJ, flowers, etc) squared away already, Katie made it so the small things didn’t stress us out. And there are SO many small things, more than I realized. But I have no doubt Katie would be an incredible help securing the big items! The weeks leading up to our wedding were filled with constant communication so we never felt out of the loop or confused. The actual day of the wedding was stress-free, at least for me, because I knew Katie and her assistant at the time Lexie had it all under control! Lexie kept everyone getting ready with me on time and Katie coordinated with our venue and the vendors with us (photographers, hair and makeup, etc). Literally everything seemed to go perfectly. If anything went wrong, Katie dealt with it and my husband and I never knew, which is exactly what I wanted! Katie was professional, encouraging, FUN, and made the months leading up to and our actual wedding day as stress free as it possibly could be. I would 100% recommend hiring Katie/Tone Events!

Katie was a pure delight to work with! Wedding planning can be so stressful, especially if you have big visions and ideas that you are trying to fulfill. Katie made herself available to talk and help at any time. Her expertise was also appreciated when it came to difficult decisions. On the day of the wedding she got to the venue early to ensure a smooth unloading process from venders, inspect that everything was to my liking, and ensure that all of the days events ran on schedule and smoothly. Her team is also phenomenal! Lexie was my bridal assistant and she made me feel so special! She helped me with outfit changes and even went above her duties to direct and edit a funny video I was trying to make with the bridal party. If you want your wedding to be as magical and perfect as you dreamed I highly recommend Tone Events. Even my photographer said that after 15+ years of being in the wedding industry she was so impressed with Katie. It’s hard to find the right wedding planner, but look no further than Tone Events! Katie IS AMAZING!!!! Hands down our BEST purchase was hiring Katie and her team to assist us. Katie is so incredibly kind, detail oriented, easy and wonderful to work with, honest, and has the best ideas! She truly gave us the greatest gift, which was getting to enjoy our wedding planning process and ultimately, really enjoying our wedding day. We didn't even know if there were any issues that came up, if there were because she handled everything so well! She's incredibly organized and has the best personality. My whole family is referring her for every upcoming wedding she was so great! Believe me, you will be SO glad you hired Katie. Not only was she amazing to work with for us, but our families as well as our vendors loved her as well! Her team is incredible as well, and the bridal assistant was key on our wedding day too! We just really don't have enough words to describe how amazing our experience with Tone Events was, and we couldn't recommend them ENOUGH. You won't regret it!!

Katie Malfettone is the absolute best planner you could ever hope to hire to help you plan your event. I consider myself an organized person, and Katie thought of things I never even considered. She made planning our wedding fun and easy. We had our wedding on a riverboat, which added an extra layer of complexity to the day, and Katie handled it with ease. Katie also has an artistic eye and set up our simple decorations in a way that looked totally elegant. On the day of our wedding, we were so relaxed knowing our event was in Katie's capable hands, it was easy to focus on the things that mattered - each other and our guests! If you are still shopping for your planner, I can't recommend Katie Malfettone enough!

Wow. Ok. Katie Malfettone IS THE LITERAL BEST PLANNER AND MAYBE PERSON IN THE WORLD. No but really. If you want to have an awesome wedding and not have to think about anything the week of your wedding then Katie is your girl. Our experience with Katie was the most comforting and peaceful element of the wedding process. Since we were getting married at Brazos Hall we had to bring everything in and at the beginning it seemed so overwhelming. But not once we got Katie on our side! Katie was always on top of everything and made sure that even when I was dragging my feet on making a decision (it happened with literally everything because i could NOT be more indecisive) that we did not miss out on a vendor or a deadline. We went in only wanting a final details package, but Katie was so amazing that we just kept adding more services. In the end- i think my mom and I only regret we hadn't had her do more! I was a bride who wanted a wedding that was NOT traditional and Katie embraced my quirkiness and desire to have a wedding that was out of the box early on. She helped guide me to small touches that ultimately on the night of the wedding were picked up on by guests as some of their favorite elements. Katie never let me feel like an idea i had was stupid, but always steered me back if I got a little too kooky (i mean, at one point i wanted a ball pit at the reception and she didn't even bat an eye!). We really only had two "problems" in the planning process with different vendors and Katie was always right there to help. The 2 weeks leading up to the wedding i had countless people come up to me and ask why and how i could be so calm. I told them I had the best wedding planner ever and she was worth every penny. At one point two days before I turned to my mom and said "but what if the cake doesn't come?!" and she reminded me to stop it that Katie had it all under control. And she did! I mean, at one point during the reception I was dancing so hard that the snap on my skirt broke. And there was Katie, pinning me up in the back and sending me out ready to keep on dancing. Nothing phases her and she controls the room like a pro. Not only is she a fantastic planner but she's fun, hilarious, kind and a joy to be around. She made wedding planning a blast and TBH i miss it. TLDR: Katie met all our expectations and more and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Myself, my family and my in-laws cannot say enough great things about working with Katie Malfettone. The entire process was smooth, stress-free, and most importantly, the wedding was executed flawlessly. From the initial stages of planning, Katie got a grasp of my style and taste and ran with it. To plan and run a 430+ person wedding with a smile on your face and calm demeanor must be stressful, but you couldn't tell with Katie. Each and every detail was noticed by all, and we still have guests reaching out to us weeks later about how perfect of an evening it was! I owe so much of that to Katie. So many people advised me not to stress along the way, but I can honestly say I never felt stressed throughout the process knowing I was in great hands! I would (and will) recommend Katie to anyone for both corporate events and weddings!

Katie Malfettone was the planner for the wedding we hosted in September 2019 in Austin, TX. She was the best in providing advice, options, ideas and then execution and follow through on the big day. The wedding and all events went so smoothly . She is a professional and has planned so many weddings that she is well aware of all the needs and details and the timing required to organize, finalize and bring it all together. There were no glitches. Katie also helped plan the wedding brunch party the next day at our home. Again she had great ideas and suggestions in the planning stages and then coordinated all the work with the rentals and caterers so that we could enjoy the party and spend time with our guests. I've already hired her twice and I will do it again. She is the best.

I would give all of the stars in the world to Katie Malfettone. Because of Katie, our July, Downtown Austin wedding was absolutely perfect! Katie is the most detail oriented person, but is extremely laid back, friendly, and fun! She quickly built a genuine relationship with my mom and me and made sure we enjoyed the planning process. We are both extremely "Type A" and opinionated, but Katie earned our trust from the very beginning. She was SO much more than a "Day-Of Coordinator". We met with her several times in advance, emailed multiple times a week, and could text or call her anytime. She was always available to answer any questions, even when she was out of the office or on vacation! She also has the BEST ideas of little details that can impact your event in a VERY positive way. A few weeks before the wedding, Katie walked us through her perfect master plan/minute-by-minute to ensure everything was ready to go and that everyone (family, bridal party, vendors) was on the same page. When the big day arrived, we knew EVERYTHING was under control and would be handled by Katie and her fabulous team. Because of Katie's knowledge, skills, relationships with vendors, and attention to detail, my mom and I could relax and enjoy the wedding day. Not once did my mom have to check in at the church or reception venue. She was able to spend the entire day with me, my bridal party, and our family, which was absolutely invaluable. Our large (320+ guests) and pretty involved wedding went off without a hitch! All of the vendors she helped us select exceeded our expectations in every way. She ensured our entire timeline, florals, decor, seating, and flow were executed perfectly! And most importantly, because of Katie, our wedding was the most memorable, perfect, and FUN night of our lives - and one that our friends and family are still talking about today. We were truly impressed by Katie's professionalism, attention to detail, operational skills, unique insight and ideas, and awesome personality! Thank you, Katie, for making our special day a huge success! We could not have done it without you!!!

The first and best decision we made during our wedding planning was to work with Katie Malfettone. Katie is organized, detail-oriented, professional, knowledgeable. Throughout the process, she kept us and our vendors on track. She double and triple-checked every detail. And on the day of our wedding, she executed a flawless event.
