Working with Jay and DJ Konsept was the best decision we could have made for our music needs for our wedding on 10/19/24. From start to finish, Jay and Konsept were so easy to communicate and collaborate with. DJ Konsept was very flexible with meeting the needs of my husband and I, as we were hoping to find someone that would understand we do not love being the center of attention. And he did just that, always checking in with us throughout the day to make sure we were comfortable and knew what to expect. He even was flexible in getting feedback from us during the reception when we were dying to hear a certain song or wanted to adjust the color of the uplighting. I definitely would recommend Total Events and DJ Konsept to book as your wedding DJ!

This review is long in coming (6/29/24) and most definitely deserved. Working with Jay and John was easy from beginning to end. Communication was always clear and consistent, and Total Events’ interface (the company website wherein you create your profile and curate the soundtrack to your wedding) was very easy to use and actually made the process enjoyable. As a radio DJ, host and presenter, Jay is approachable, professional, funny and loves/knows music. Total Events’ DJs are also talented and detail-oriented, based on our experience with John Cardona. We handpicked almost every song for every aspect of the day, and it was ECLECTIC to say the least. After a few short calls to discuss during the planning, John made it all flow flawlessly, and seamlessly filled in the blanks where he needed to (if that doesn’t make sense to you right now, trust me, it will). He had a better handle on the order of things than we did on our wedding day—which took a lot of stress off of us. Our wedding was all about great food, wine, people and music. That last one sets the vibe, cadence and tempo of the whole day, and, Total Events helped us nail it. I can go on, but will end by saying that they are personable, professional and collaborative, and I recommend their services 100%.

We used Total Events, Jay and Ryan, for our wedding this past weekend and let me say- WHAT A GREAT DECISION! They were so communicative leading up to the big day and the portal they utilize is super user friendly. We had a lot of unique song requests as my husband is from Brazil, and they accommodated them perfectly! Ryan is a SUPER talented DJ and not only did he keep the dance floor hopping all night, but he was so nice and his musical transitions were perfection. I can’t speak highly enough about them and will absolutely use them again for any DJ/event needs. We also had up lighting which was such a vibe. Great for the dinner and evening to tie the look of our wedding together and it ROCKED when the lights changed during dancing time! THANK YOU JAY AND RYAN FOR MAKING OUR DAY SO MAGICAL!!

Working with Jay and Matt (DJ) from Total Events was a wonderful experience! They were very communicative, flexible, and friendly. Matt made sure our wedding day went very smoothly and ensured that he played the music that we requested! Our dance floor was a BLAST and that is due to Matt's skill and attention to the crowd. Almost all of our guests complimented the music and the fun dance floor. We highly recommend booking Total Events for your wedding or special occasion! They will not disappoint!

Derek was our DJ and he was great! He was super friendly and professional, and checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were happy with the music and having fun. The whole process of working with Total Events was smooth and easy. Definitely would work with them again!

It was an absolute breeze working with Jay for our wedding a few weeks ago. His online form is so organized, easy, and well prepared. Jay is so fun and easy to work with, he makes the process easy without any worry. We had the honor of working with John as our DJ and he was the BEST! He had everyone on the dance floor all night and made sure he played a variety for everyone. We added uplighting which was set an amazing scenery all night. The lights changed all night and gave club vibes to keep everyone partying. The Photo Booth workers were so nice and even partied with us sometimes. They were all pretty much family by the end of the night. They created an amazing book with all of the pictures taken which was so nice to look at the day after. We had such a great experience with Total Events I would book them 100x over again. Thank you so much for everything you do!

We hired Total Events for entertainment for our wedding last weekend, and we couldn't be any happier with our decision! Jay was extremely helpful during the planning process, especially when it came to picking out specific type of music, and he was always (and I mean always!) available to answer any questions we had. Matt was our DJ, and he did an excellent job at the wedding. He played the songs we had specifically requested and even went along with the vibe of the room when it came to picking out different type of music. We kept it classic while throwing in different types of music so everyone would have a bit of their own taste as Matt made sure everyone had a great time, and even all of our grandparents were up & dancing all night long! We also took it a bit further and booked a photobooth, which ended up being a huge hit! The workers Devan & Jayson did a wonderful job with making sure every guest got their pictures in for us and they even put together a lovely scrapbook with the extra copies of pictures & had guests signing the pages next to their pictures so we could have something to take home with us & look back on! My husband and I are extremely happy with the service Total Events had provided to make our night as perfect as possible, and it was worth every penny we spent! Did I mention the prices are reasonable as well?? We would definitely recommend Total Events to anyone that's looking for entertainment for their events!

We loved the Photo Booth! The attendants were absolutely wonderful and they made sure that everyone had fun while using the booth. Our scrapbook that we received at the end with copies of all photos taken as well as stickers/decorations on the pages is something we will cherish.

Found Total Events at bridal expo at casino & so happy with my decision! I love their online portal to select music choices, it was easy & helped to keep everything organized. Jay was very quick to respond with any of my questions. Our DJ, Edwin, was awesome!! He kept the party going & our guests commented how great he was!

We booked our DJ and uplighting through Total Events for our wedding and are so happy we did. Jay matched us with our DJ Edwin who was very professional and easy to work with. We had to change a couple of things around day of because of an issue with our transportation, and Edwin was more than accommodating. He kept the party going on the dance floor with great music.

We are so lucky that we booked with Total Events. Jay and Ari made sure to meet with us multiple times and really took our opinions and ran with it. Our DJ Ari was incredible. He kept the night flowing and did such a good job. There was not one person who left the dance floor that night. He really helped make our wedding so special and we are forever grateful! The owner, Jay, and our DJ, Edwin, were great to work with in planning our wedding. Their website is easy to use and helpful. The day of Edwin was attentive to us and very professional.

This company was great to work with! From the first meeting to the last, they were nothing but accommodating to what we were looking for on our big day. Our DJ Edwin was excellent! We got so many compliments from our guests about the atmosphere on the dance floor. We chose our cocktail hour songs and a few for the dance floor, and we left the rest up to Edwin, and he exceeded our expectations. This is a great company to work with, and we could not recommend them more!

DJ Matt was unbelievable for our wedding. He was fun, professional, and had everyone out on the dance floor for the entire night. Jay and Matt were quick to respond to any questions we had and went over every detail to make sure our wedding was perfect. We can not recommend them enough.

Total Events CT fulfilled every need we asked of them. We had a pretty unique playlist for our reception and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The planning process was excellent. The DJ was energetic. We were thrilled with our choice!

Total Dj's were great! Their website and client portal were easy to use. The owner Jay was very organized and communicative, our DJ Edwin did an amazing job with our wedding. We had a smaller than expected wedding due to covid, But he played all of our fav songs with perfect timing.

We had John as our DJ and we could not be happier! He was so helpful, kind, and accommodating with all our needs. We had a small wedding and he still got everyone up and dancing and enjoying themselves. Also, their photo booth service was definitely a major highlight of the night. Would absolutely recommend Total Events to anyone who wants a professional and fun experience!

We highly recommend Jay and his Total Events team! Jay was so professional, kind, and attentive. We had Matt as our dj for our big day and he was phenomenal! He was also very attentive, fun, and great to work with!! We described to Matt what we wanted, and he absolutely nailed it! Our ceremony and reception were exactly what we visioned! We decided at the last minute we wanted to do a photobooth and luckily for us Jay had one and staff available. He was great in helping add that in, and the staff running it were great! I have to say this company is amazing, well organized, and super nice. Edwin did such a great job keeping the party going throughout the night and putting together the right music. if I ever need a DJ again this is the place ill go back to.

Jay and his team are incredible! They are honest, supportive, trustworthy, and took great care to do everything that they could to make our wedding day an absolute success. Their online portal is extremely helpful at staying organized and communicating music preferences with our DJ. DJ John Cardona absolutely knocked it out of the park with coordinating all aspects of our wedding in addition to the music played at the reception. We truly could have been there all night! My new husband and I had a wonderful first consultation with Jay. He is very professional and knowledgeable while also keeping conversation light and fun. I appreciated that during the stress of planning a wedding. Once we got closer, Jay tied in our event DJ Matt. Again both were easy to work with, provided us with a ton of information, knowledgeable, professional, and just overall fun and friendly guys to chat with! On the day of our wedding, Matt arrived and set up when he said he would - right on time! He stayed connected with us all night and kept our guests on the dance floor until literally the lights turned on and it was time for everyone to go home! We can't say enough good things about this company. From the start they really listened to what we wanted and pulled through on the day of. Our DJ Matt was OUTSTANDING. He truly paid attention to our playlist wants and every detail we asked for. The lighting person was also so nice and made sure we were happy with everything and the Photo Booth attendant was fun/nice. Overall we really can not recommend Total events enough. Total Events was perfect for our wedding! Our DJ, John was awesome! He really captured our taste in music as a couple and as the night grew later, he changed up the playlist to match the atmosphere of our guests. He did great with the special requests that we had (shoe game, anniversary dance, requests from guests). Even with some electrical set backs, John managed to pull through and keep the party going. John's flexibility and ability to mix requested songs was amazing. We also got the magic mirror photo booth for inside the tent. It was a huge hit with our family and friends. We were not expecting to get a photo album with all the picture afterward, but it was a great way to capture the fun and excitement of the day. Thank you to the photo booth team. Jay and John made us feel really comfortable moving up to the weddings, and kept everything in order, on-time and running smoothly. Thank you so much for being a part of our big day!

Sean was our DJ and he did a fantastic job of keeping everyone dancing! That’s the most important part. I specifically asked for no requests and he stuck to that, and also didn’t play a single song on my “do not play list” lol. I had quite a few guests compliment him while we were dancing, which is just the best. Jay was super professional and caught a few things that my husband and I didn't that could've affected our day (ie, needing more than one sound system). Would definitely recommend!

Jay is the owner of and main point of contact for Total Events CT. He was so personable, professional, and responsive from the very start. He always assured us that he wanted planning the DJ and entertainment portion of our wedding to be as smooth and stress free a process as possible, and he followed through on his word. Jay’s services are affordable, and he offers a package for everyone (with lighting and photo booth options). We went with the Beauty Magic Mirror photo booth option, and we’re so glad that we did! The photo album that the Total Events team made for us is a wonderful keepsake from our day. DJ John provided emcee and entertainment services on our day. He couldn’t have been better! He was so kind and accommodating to us and our guests. John also worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, including a band who we hired for our ceremony and cocktail hour. From start to finish, Jay and his team exceeded our expectations. We’re so glad that they could be a part of our wedding day and the planning process. Hire them and you’ll be so happy you did.

Matt was our DJ from Total Events and the service was exactly what we needed for our wedding. Total Events and Matt were responsive, professional and walked us through the whole process from hiring to the wedding day. Matt showed up on time to set up, sound check and was ready to go and I never had to worry about what song would play next or when. He kept the party going all night long.

In my opinion, the music for your wedding is one of THE most important elements and with Total Events, you'll definitely have the best night ever. Jay was clear and helpful to communicate with and always gave quick responses during planning. The easy to use portal and final meeting to wrap everything up made sure everything went smoothly. Our DJ, Jesse, was so friendly and prompt with his arrival and set up. He played our song requests, but also was great at reading the crowd and playing to the energy. Speaking of energy - Jesse was constantly singing, dancing and hyping up our guests. His positivity and fun were contagious and everyone, especially us, loved having him as part of our special day.

The owner and our DJ were amazing! So professional and responsive. They made the planning process so easy and fun. The DJ went above and beyond at the wedding to keep us on track and when it was time to dance he really did a great job playing a variety of music to get everyone on the dance floor and having a great time. They also provided bistro lighting which was absolutely gorgeous.

Our DJ Jesse was amazing! We’re both performers and having gotten married at a theater, it was a perfect match. He really cared about making our night perfect and was very thoughtful in choosing music that would appeal to our crowd. I was also super impressed that on our final phone call, he had our timeline pulled up and was referring to it and seemed to know it better than we did! He played such great music and the dance floor was never empty! He read the crowd well and when a song was requested, he played it! He even suggested changing up a few things in our initial timeline to open the dance floor faster when he noticed we were running behind schedule. I loved how he played our last song 10 minutes early so that he could do a few encore songs. Very smart! We also had a photobooth and the photobooth staff was fantastic as well! They surprised us with a scrapbook of everyone’s photos from the night and our guests got to leave us sweet and funny messages. Jesse and Jay were very responsive when it came to keeping in contact throughout the entire planning process. Wish we could have our wedding over and over again. Everything was perfect! They say the DJ runs the show of the wedding and he ran it well! Thank you Jesse!

We hired Total Events for our wedding this past July. Jay was great from the start and very responsive. The entire process of choosing songs was super easy because of the online portal they have for their couples. We were able to login and choose music for every portion of our wedding. Matt was our DJ the day of, and he was awesome. He played almost all of the songs we had requested, and everything else he played was perfect for the crowd and vibe of our wedding. Finding Total Events was a dream come true. I didn’t have to worry ONE BIT about the DJ the night of our wedding. First meeting with Jay Raven, the owner of Total Events, blew us away. He knew exactly what to say, he made us comfortable, he talked in ways that we just understood and fell in love. He paired us with DJ John Cardona, who was simply amazing. A few meetings, a worksheet, videos and photos is all it took. The day of the wedding, I didn’t even receive a phone call, John was at the venue, setting up the chapel and the reception. I did not even for a second have to think oh I wonder if my DJ is here or ready! We heard his practice from the venue bridal suite and I just wanted to run down and start dancing. Next thing I knew I was crying, my music was playing in the chapel, John nailed it. The entire place filled with tears, they were so moved by the music, and then finally seeing me walk down. Then comes the reception, he already lined everyone up, talked to our bridal party, and started off the night. I was told later that night that John threw his back out.. I had no idea, he did my entire wedding, no sweat. He killed it!!!! The entire place was dancing the entire night. He was absolutely amazing in so many ways. John is super talented, and only took requests from me, which was already noted in my work sheet when we talked. I loved every single second of our wedding night. I will forever use Total Events!! We knew instantly when we talked to Jay Raven that we wanted to book with Total Events! Working with Jay and DJ John Cardona was a great experience and using the online portal to make our music selections and event timelines was so easy and efficient. DJ John made sure our dance floor at our wedding was always filled with people and he did such a great job! Highly recommend!! We also did our uplighting with Total Events and it was fantastic! Jay was easy to work with, the terms were clear and honored, and Derek did an excellent job at the wedding. Derek was fun and available and a good partner (to everyone). We gave him a lot of songs and he worked beautifully with them and he added a lot of great music. It was a dance party! Leading up to the event, the communication was good and enough, and the website was pretty easy to use. There's a extensive selection in the music section, and you can add songs that aren't there. Finally, our wedding was under 100, but it was clear that they could produce a bigger wedding, and I was pleased that they provided the right package for us.

Jay was able to miraculously fit me in last minute when I realized a week before my wedding that we had overlooked uplighting. His pricing was extremely fair and he was super responsive via email. He took the time to scout the location independently and reach out to the venue which was wonderful since I was so consumed with week of wedding tasks. I'd highly recommend Total Events for all your wedding needs!

We had such an easy process with Total Events from start to finish. We worked with Jay and Steve to create a wedding timeline and establish music selections. DJ Steve was amazing! He knew how to keep the crowd entertained and choose songs based on everyone’s preference. We had so many compliments about the music and everyone was on the dance floor all night! Working with Jay Raven to plan our wedding was such a good experience. As we planned together he helped us paint a picture of how the evening would unfold to create beautiful moments for our perfect day. Music & dancing was our #1 priority when planning our wedding, and Total Events exceeded our every expectation. I am so happy we hired total events for our wedding! One thing that vendors I think often forget, is that (most of the time) couples are planning a wedding for the first time and have no idea what they’re doing. Jay will truly walk you through everything you need to know and everything you need to do. They have an easy to use portal that you can add to as you plan. Total Events was also our easiest vendor to get in touch with. They were extremely responsive and never made me feel like I had too many questions. We had to postpone our wedding due to covid, and not only were they accommodating, they were our only vendor that consistently communicated with us about their policies throughout the waiting period. Communication is so important with vendors and these guys are the best at it! Lastly, Matt did a great job at our actual wedding. We had kind of an odd combo of music choices and Matt made it work. There was never a slow moment on the dance floor. When our venue was running behind on dinner and I had no idea what time it was, Matt even let us know what was happening and helped us to get our timeline back on track! My only suggestion is to let them know if you have a choreographed first dance so that they know to start the song from the very beginning.

I can’t say enough good things about Jay and Matt and I’d give more than 5 stars if I could! From the moment we chose Total Events, the million questions I had, 4 date changes and a venue change - they were an absolute PLEASURE to work with! I was so excited to meet Matt the day of the wedding and he did NOT disappoint. We had downsized significantly but that didn’t stop our group from dancing all night to the best music and having an amazing time! Matt - THANK YOU! From taking requests from our crazy crew, having the nicest things to say, getting people up and on the dance floor, chatting with me at the end of the night and being one of the best parts of our special day. We couldn’t be happier!!

Matt was a great DJ! Jay and Matt were so supportive and helpful throughout all of COVID and were very flexible with us moving the date of our wedding. Our guests had a great time and Matt really kept the dance floor going!

Jay and Derek were super easy to work with! They were extremely flexible as we changed plans due to COVID-19 restrictions. Jay sold us with his down-to-earth demeanor the first time we spoke to him. Derek really rolled with the punches the day of the wedding! He played a good range of the songs we requested and threw in some great choices based on our taste!

Words can't explain how lucky we were to have Total Events run DJ on our event! Jay is an absolute pleasure to work with and the communication is superb. Jay always comes with enthusiasm and caters to the specific event you're trying to have. He works with you on every detail and provides amazing suggestions to enhance your event based on his experience in the industry. We had to change our venue due to Covid and he was quick to accommodate with complete understanding and flexibility. Matt, our DJ the day of the event, was also a pleasure to work with. He followed the schedule and even reminded us of what it was! From the ceremony music to the wedding party entrance, to the first dance, dancefloor and everything under the sun, he was there to keep the party alive and having the best time. We absolutely loved working with Jay and his crew! We ended up booking Matt for our small backyard ceremony and everyone had nothing but great things to say about him! He was calm as a cucumber despite all the chaos of a backyard wedding and made the perfect mix of music for us. We can't wait to have them back for our larger wedding in summer of 2021!

We had our wedding through all of the new found uncertainty with Covid on 9.19.20. Total events made us feel comfortable and helped us through one hell of a party! They are WONDERFUL!!! Jay the owner was so accommodating and easy to work with although we changed our venue and plan many times because of Covid. He made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Our DJ John was also amazing!! We had a few last minute changed which he quickly corrected and totally kept up with the vibe of our crowd. 10/10 would recommend!

HANDS DOWN best group to work with, we HIGHLY recommend. Jay is incredible. He is extremely personable and easy to work with. John (our DJ) was also amazing - I found myself on multiple occasions throughout our wedding saying "I LOVE THIS SONG" that may not have even been on our list - he was able to take our suggested songs and create a really cohesive list of music that attracted all ages to the dance floor. Everyone had an absolute blast. Their interface is also extremely helpful - its an easy to use portal where you upload your day of timeline and required/suggested/do not play music! They were very accommodating as things changed with COVID and very fair on their pricing. Jay even came day off to help with the ceremony music... you can tell they really care about your day! I can't say enough, we HIGHLY recommend.

My wife and i had our wedding on Friday August 7, 2020 at Madison Beach Hotel in Madison, CT. Due to COVID, we had to drastically and sadly cut our guest list down to 40 immediate family members. We also had to change our venue, so we pretty much started the wedding planning process over. Throughout all the hard decisions and changes, Total Events stuck with us for our modified wedding. They worked so well with our new wedding Planner and new venue, even when there was a power outage due to Hurricane Isaias that threatened to alter our wedding. During our new planning process, Total Events actually reached out to us to see what our plans were during the COVID pandemic. We were so busy deciding what to do about our venue and guest list, that hearing from Total Events was comforting and reassuring. Due to our venue and guest list change, we had to reduce our sound system needs. The owner Jay was more than accommodating regarding the sound system modifications and price change due to the smaller wedding. Before our wedding day, we had a conference call with Jay and our DJ Matt, going over ceremony and reception logistics. Jay and Matt guided us through it all. During our wedding day, Jay and Matt set up our event sound system, and throughout our wedding night, Matt handled our ceremony and reception music flawlessly. All the critical songs were played at the right times, such as the cake cutting song, mother/son dance, etc. Matt checked in on my wife and I throughout our wedding reception to see how things were going and if we needed anything. Matt was more than accomodating to our families music requests, especially our young nieces/nephew’s song requests. Throughout the night, Matt reminded our guests about the important COVID related requirements, such as masks wearing while going to the bar or restroom. As a public health professional, i greatly appreciated that! Even with our small-micro wedding, Matt still made it feel like a lively event. Our families were dancing and having a great time to all the tunes we chose. Our modified wedding day was perfect, and Total Events played a massive role in it. My wife and I highly recommend Total Events. We can’t thank Jay and Matt enough for their role in making our day perfect.

As the owner of Creative concepts by Lisa event planning and design I had the opportunity to work with Total events and their owner Dj Ray, the day of the event we were in the midst of COVID-19, and a black out due to the recent tropical storm. Our DJ, DJ Matt, did a wonderful job following all the Covid rules and regulations as well as the regulations that the venue had to follow due to noise ordinances in their area for an outside event. Matt was very professional and very communicative with me throughout the night and I cannot thank him enough. Hire a professional DJ!

They were quick to respond to our request , we very well priced, were punctual, and had good equipment. They had a wide variety music available. Would hire again in a heartbeat!
