Housed in a breathtaking German Gothic church built in 1867, this historic landmark has been reimagined into a stunning event space where timeless architecture meets modern elegance. Adding to its charm, The Transept features immersive projection technology that transforms the space into a magical canvas—customized to reflect your style, set the mood, and bring your love story to life. With dynamic, real-time transitions, your wedding unfolds in stunning visual chapters—setting the tone for your ceremony, energizing the dance floor, and turning every moment into a show-stopping memory. Imagine a soft, romantic glow as you walk down the aisle, a dramatic shift as you say “I do,” and a burst of light to mark your grand entrance. Visuals can be synced to your first dance, a heartfelt toast, or even the cake cutting.
Choose from the various event spaces within this venue to find one that suits your needs. The Transept can host weddings of all sizes, with areas for intimate gatherings and extravagant celebrations alike. The largest room, The Assembly, can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated meal or 300 for a cocktail-style reception. Full of enchanting features from its construction, the room offers a glimpse into the past during a celebration looking towards the future. The North Tap or Vestry Rooms are ideal for smaller gatherings, great for mingling and networking. The Registrar can hold 75 cocktail style or 50 for a seated dinner. Framed by backlit wood bookshelves and a hall of mirrors, The Registrar is the venue's most intimate space, charming and welcoming for small weddings and rehearsal dinners. The North Tap and Registrar can be combined for a uniquely intimate experience. Whichever space you choose, you and your guests will experience a cozy and comfortable atmosphere where you are truly taken care of by our staff.
You can have all of your wedding needs met in The Transept with the help of the dedicated staff. Setup and clean-up of your event space are looked after by the team. Catering and bar services are provided in-house by DelightMore, who will work with you to design a menu that suits your tastes and requirements. The meal can be served in a range of styles from hors d'oeuvres and a cocktail reception to buffets and plated meal service. All dinnerware is supplied by the team, and audiovisual equipment and a dance floor can be set up for your after-dinner party. One of the things that impressed us most was how organized and intentional the planning process was. The wedding coordinators walked us through every detail ahead of time, helping us think through things we never would have considered on our own. Because of their preparation, we went into the wedding day feeling calm and fully present. And on the day of, the on-site coordinators were incredible—they ensured everything ran smoothly, effortlessly, and exactly on schedule without ever making us feel rushed.

The server happened to hear her and told her that she’d go get another for her because the plate ran out. The server found her outside on the patio, after searching for her, and served her the appetizer on her own individual plate. That’s the above and beyond service that you will get with the Transept team!! The last thing I will say is that they have so much experience, and run like a well oiled machine, but allow you to customize each detail so that your wedding is still custom to what you want. We were initially a little concerned that having two separate seating areas (one upstairs and one downstairs) would feel awkward but having the second bar upstairs meant that our guests went back and forth and hung out in both locations throughout the night. h I'm sure happen at most weddings so we took it in stride! The issues we experienced with the venue were mostly leading up to the wedding. Communication was MINIMAL. Every time we needed to schedule a meeting , I was the one reaching out. Often times not getting a response until days later. I didn't meet my assigned coordinator until the final meeting and only because I asked for her to be there. Every meeting felt rushed, like they just wanted us in and out the door. I thought our linens meeting was going to be going through options and explaining the rental process for specific table settings and linens. Instead, I was only asked if we wanted white or black and kind of sped along. I asked questions about other options and felt like the person in charge of the meeting was annoyed with me, like I was wasting their time. I HIGHLY SUGGEST hiring a wedding planner if you decide to have your wedding here. It's beautiful and the food is great, but if this is your first wedding planning experience, you need someone there to advocate for you and guide you in the process, because the planners offered in house just don't seem to care.
Additionally, I asked multiple questions and tried to get things in order a week or two prior to our wedding and was brushed off.I know they have events every weekend, but it was extremely stressful having to constantly respond to emails two days before the wedding. Something I felt could've been avoided had time management been a little better on their end.
Our only big issue day of was that we were told we had the whole building for us all day. Turns out they hosted an engagement party at the bar area during our wedding and we had MULTIPLE wedding crashers. When we discussed this with them afterwards they didn't apologize or take ownership, but told us our guests were also trying to crash the engagement party. Our guests thought that was part of our event because it was supposed to be.
Overall, I would suggest getting married there ONLY and only if you have an outside wedding planner hired.

The area the wedding party got ready in was stunning and a fun start to the festivities. We utilized the entire building for ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing. Such a unique spot!
