Housed in a breathtaking German Gothic church built in 1867, this historic landmark has been reimagined into a stunning event space where timeless architecture meets modern elegance. With vaulted ceilings, magnificent stained glass windows, and rich architectural details, The Transept offers an unforgettable backdrop for your big day. Adding to its charm, The Transept features immersive projection technology that transforms the space into a magical canvas—customized to reflect your style, set the mood, and bring your love story to life. With dynamic, real-time transitions, your wedding unfolds in stunning visual chapters—setting the tone for your ceremony, energizing the dance floor, and turning every moment into a show-stopping memory. Imagine a soft, romantic glow as you walk down the aisle, a dramatic shift as you say “I do,” and a burst of light to mark your grand entrance. Visuals can be synced to your first dance, a heartfelt toast, or even the cake cutting. Choose from the various event spaces within this venue to find one that suits your needs. The Transept can host weddings of all sizes, with areas for intimate gatherings and extravagant celebrations alike. The largest room, The Assembly, can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated meal or 300 for a cocktail-style reception. Full of enchanting features from its construction, the room offers a glimpse into the past during a celebration looking towards the future. The North Tap or Vestry Rooms are ideal for smaller gatherings, great for mingling and networking. The Registrar can hold 75 cocktail style or 50 for a seated dinner. Framed by backlit wood bookshelves and a hall of mirrors, The Registrar is the venue's most intimate space, charming and welcoming for small weddings and rehearsal dinners. The North Tap and Registrar can be combined for a uniquely intimate experience. Whichever space you choose, you and your guests will experience a cozy and comfortable atmosphere where you are truly taken care of by our staff. You can have all of your wedding needs met in The Transept with the help of the dedicated staff. Setup and clean-up of your event space are looked after by the team. Catering and bar services are provided in-house by DelightMore, who will work with you to design a menu that suits your tastes and requirements. The meal can be served in a range of styles from hors d'oeuvres and a cocktail reception to buffets and plated meal service. All dinnerware is supplied by the team, and audiovisual equipment and a dance floor can be set up for your after-dinner party. The Transept is a wedding venue out of a fairytale! As soon as my husband and I saw the space we knew it was the venue for us. Within a few days of seeing it we had a contract and wedding date booked. We loved that we were able to do our wedding, cocktail hour, and reception all in one location. Corey and her team were so easy to work with and extremely helpful during the design and planning process! Any questions we had were answered promptly and pricing was transparent when adding design elements or upgrades. The bridal suite was beautiful and perfect for getting ready in and the guys loved the speakeasy feel of the grooms lounge. We also got so many compliments on the food especially the short rib. We have absolutely nothing but amazing things to say about the venue and staff! The day was so magical and we wish we could relive it every weekend 🤍

Working with Delightmore has been amazing! We worked with Corey and Becca. They were so kind, fun and kept all of the details so organized. I was always surprised at how much they remembered! They also had the best ideas and made the planning process smooth. We couldn't have picked a better venue to work with. I loved the transept because you could make it your own vibe. There were so many nooks and spaces for cute decorations and lots of potential for florals if that's what you love. We didn't have to worry about catering and it's in the perfect spot downtown. The bridal suite was a huge plus for me as well. We are so happy that we chose them for our special day, it truly was the best day ever. I'm unable to attach pictures for some reason, otherwise I would show off how wonderful the venue is!

We got married at the Transept in April, and I just have to say... wow. The amount of ease I felt just because I knew that team had our backs and best interests at heart and just made the day go as smoothly as it possibly could. The whole entire process I truly don't know how I could have done it without this team. There were so many details and timeline items that I would have never even thought about that they handled for me. Also the venue is just a dream come true. I still get so many compliments on how perfect the venue was and how intimate and lovely it felt. I will recommend this venue to anyone and everyone that is planning to get married in Cincinnati!

We cannot recommend The Transept enough! From the moment we first toured the space to the very last dance of our reception, the team went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly the best day ever. The entire venue staff worked together seamlessly, and they were always one step ahead, anticipating our needs and handling everything with grace. The staff was incredibly attentive to us the entire night, making sure we had everything we needed. Delightmore did an amazing job with the food. It was somehow even better than it was at our tasting, and our guests have been raving about how delicious everything was ever since. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but the team took our vision and brought it to life even better than I could have imagined. Every element we had discussed was executed flawlessly. Overall, the staff did an amazing job not only making the space look incredible, but making sure everyone had the best day ever. We were taken care of from the moment we chose the venue and knew we had nothing to worry about on our big day. From the beginning of selecting our venue to the day of, we truly cannot be more impressed with DelightMore for making our wedding day perfect. Every detail and step along the way was cared for and made us feel a ease when it came time for our day. They accommodated every ask and were always just an email or phone call away with every question that came up. Aside from going above and beyond in planning our wedding, the food was amazing!! Our tasting was intimate and fun, and also catered to every little detail we desired. We received many compliments regarding the food and service our guests received. We cannot imagine celebrating this occasion anywhere else, with a different staff, and are forever grateful to the DelightMore team. We could not recommend them (or this beautiful venue) enough!!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience both with the Transept and Delightmore. People just loved the setting- we were there all day and loved the bridesmaids and brides’ preparation area and the boys played poker and cards in their area. Lunch was lovely, just a beautiful place. The flip between ceremony and reception was just amazing. All the tables were just decorated beautifully. Everything ran so very smoothly, and people made numerous comments about how great the staff was. They just kept everything rolling seamlessly. I would like to especially recognize Misti and Julie. Misti was awesome and Julie was great all day keeping us organized. People just loved the food and all the folks with special needs-vegetarian/vegan/kids told me that the staff asked about them and confirmed before the meal. I think the service provided was just above and beyond. People raved about the food options, and they were just wonderful. Everyone loved the cocktail hour and the appetizers, as well as the Duet dinner!! Everyone helped us get packed up at the end of the evening and on our way. Today, on Monday, we stopped by to pick up floral items and items for the dessert table. It was all packed up and waiting for us !! You all made it so very easy for us to have a wonderful wedding for our daughter. Thank you again so much.

The Transept and the Delightmore Team made our perfect wedding a reality. We booked 2 years before our actual wedding date and there were some position changes and from a client’s point of view, it was the best move ever to have Corey as the Sales Manager. She was super responsive with emails and made you feel so well cared for and I felt like she truly listened to our needs, questions, and concerns. There were a couple instances where she proved to go above and beyond for us and I couldn’t be more appreciative. The cocktails and food were absolutely out of this world. Literally the best pork I’ve ever had. But the venue is what had initially drawn us in. It’s absolutely STUNNING! During the day of, the entire team treated us like royalty, kept everything organized and on track, and they arranged our decor to bring our vision to life. It was truly the best day of our life.

We absolutely loved our wedding at the Transept. The location, food, and team could not be better. The people are amazing, the planning meetings are efficient and detailed, and guests were amazed at the level of service. From early morning decor drop off to the last guest leaving the reception, the staff was extremely dedicated to making sure we had the best wedding possible. Our wedding at The Transept was absolutely amazing! The location in the heart of OTR could not have been more perfect for our many out-of-town guests and the venue itself is beautiful, with so many unique features to utilize, like the gorgeous bridal suite tower and fun cocktail hour space downstairs. But the real magic of the Transept is their staff and the level of service they provide. From our very first tour, they were on-top of every detail and responsive to every question we had. Corey, in particular, did an amazing job stepping in as our main point of contact from our tasting onwards and was always a delight to meet with. And speaking of our tasting… wow! The food the DelightMore team provides is truly outstanding and we heard so many compliments from our guests on it. My 91 year old grandmother even declared her beef tenderloin the best she has ever had. :) Thank you all again for an amazing day. We cannot recommend The Transept and DelightMore more highly!

My husband and I would recommend the Transept to anyone planning a wedding. The team at the Transept (and Delightmore) helped make the day perfect. During the planning process, the entire Transept team was responsive and helpful, providing other vendor recommendations and having our initial design meeting early. This allowed the rest of the planning process to go more smoothly and have my husband and I thinking about some of the details we might not have thought of without their help. On the day, we could not be happier with the service! The entire team went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day ever. From checking in with me (the bride) to make sure I had eaten throughout the day, to bringing our vision to life for the ceremony and reception. In addition to this, the food was absolutely amazing. So many of our guests mentioned that this was the first wedding they have been to where the food was actually hot when it was served, and it was the best food they have had at a wedding. All around, the Transept was amazing.

If you want to enjoy your wedding, and the entire planning process, you should 100% have the Transept as your venue. The team from top to bottom was extremely easy to work with, so nice, and know what it takes to put on a great event. They truly think of everything, so that you don’t have to. They go above and beyond to make the planning process fun and easy. Not only are the behind the scenes people great (Corey, Misti, Lauren), but the venue staff the day of our wedding were just as fabulous. One of our guests shared this story with us the day after our wedding: she was talking with a group and happened to say “wow that hors d'oeuvre looks good”. The server happened to hear her and told her that she’d go get another for her because the plate ran out. The server found her outside on the patio, after searching for her, and served her the appetizer on her own individual plate. That’s the above and beyond service that you will get with the Transept team!! The last thing I will say is that they have so much experience, and run like a well oiled machine, but allow you to customize each detail so that your wedding is still custom to what you want. Booking with the Transept team was hands down the best decision we made.

I absolutely loved my experience with The Transept. I had my ceremony and reception here. The coordinators helped with everything every step of the way and they were available when I had questions (I did not hire a wedding planner). A lot of the main event staff changed midway through my planning process which really worried me, but everything turned out perfect. The ‘day of’ staff went above and beyond to make my day perfect, specifically Becca, Hannah, and Kristen. Food was incredible, and they made my very minimal decor look amazing! Can’t recommend this venue enough.

10/10 recommend having your wedding at the Transept!!! We had a great experience from start to finish. The staff at Funky’s is unmatched! They’re well organized and very easy to work with throughout the wedding process. They truly take care of every detail - from ordering linens and lighting, to decor set up and take down on the wedding day. Our wedding was magical and we feel that was because of the wonderful coordinators and staff that were attentive and helped things run smoothly on the day of the wedding. Another thing we really enjoyed was being able to meet with our event manager prior to our wedding as well. We did not use a wedding planner or hire an outside coordinator, nor did we need one. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience and highly recommend the Transept!

The Transept was a fantastic place for us to have our wedding! From the initial meetings, to the planning process and all the way through our big day, they were the ultimate professionals. The space was beautiful and we had so many guests compliment us on how it looked for all aspects of the day. The many spaces you can use from the bridal tower to the groomsmen suite and the bar space used for cocktail hour made everything very seamless and easy. We will never forget our day and having it at The Transept was a huge part of that!

We had a wonderful experience working with the Funky's team for our wedding at the Transept. We looked at a bunch of venues before we saw the Transept but knew immediately it was perfect for our wedding and I'm so glad we chose it. The space is beautiful and worked seamlessly for having the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at the same location. The food was fantastic - we got so many positive comments on it from our guests. We were initially a little concerned that having two separate seating areas (one upstairs and one downstairs) would feel awkward but having the second bar upstairs meant that our guests went back and forth and hung out in both locations throughout the night. Probably most importantly the team was so easy to work with and for our other vendors to work with. They were responsive and helpful throughout the planning process and the day-of staff made for a perfect and stress-free day for us. Thank you!!

Working with Funky’s was so easy. They have everything you need, offer guidance, and make sure your vision comes to life. The food is wonderful and they keep the wedding moving along seamlessly. All details are accounted for, so we did not need to hire a wedding planner! Wonderful to work with - would recommend if you’re looking for a full service venue and caterer.

My wife and I had a surreal experience getting married here in December. If you can book it, I highly recommend you do! The staff are absolute pros and showed it every second of the day. The building itself is gorgeous and every area has something unique or interesting to notice. The area it’s in is quintessential Cincinnati/OTR and just felt alive on the day. 10/10 venue, I’m really hoping some of our friends get married here so we can come back

The staff, food, and venue at the Transept were both the best we could have imagined. The venue speaks for itself - beautiful space - wonderful areas for bride and groom to both get ready separately (bride's especially in the clock tower), but the staff really stood out. Planning was made easy - they had all details covered, and really helped de-stress the whole thing. Day of, they were extremely attentive, professional, and caring/personal. Couldn't have asked for better, truly. Thank you all again!

From the very beginning of our wedding planning process, the Transept went above and beyond to make sure we had every aspect of our day planned perfectly! Communication between us and their staff was always consistent. They were quick and more than happy to answer every question we had, and we had many! The Transept and their staff care about the guest experience as well which was very important to us. On the wedding day, the flow from the ceremony to the reception was a breeze thanks to the precise planning they did. Every detail was considered and figured out. As the bride, I was able to just relax and enjoy the day with no issues whatsoever. As a big planner myself, this was such a relief! On the wedding day itself, there were multiple staff members coordinating every detail such as informing guests where to gather, informing the bridal party where to stand, when to enter, and which events would be taking place next. On top of everything, the Transept is absolutely STUNNING! The venue has so much character and beautiful details on its own and this made decor and floral arrangement decisions even easier. I couldn’t recommend this venue more!

We had our October wedding at the Transept and it went perfectly. Funky’s Catering handled everything and, if there were any issues throughout the day, we were never made aware of them. Before the day even came, anyone who heard Funky’s would be handling our food commented on how excited they were. On the actual day, they lived up to their reputation. Food and service were incredible. The staff during our wedding were all lovely and the team who helped us plan during the months leading up were just as amazing.

I would recommend The Transept/Funky's catering to anyone and everyone. Not only was the food fantastic (seriously, AMAZING!), they facilitated my day at the Transept flawlessly. Every single person who had a hand in my day was so courteous and helpful, they took care of everything and all I had to do the day of my wedding was get ready and enjoy myself. The table-side ordering was incredible and definitely worth the extra money. We marveled at how the owners of Funky's were serving food to my guests during my reception. There wasn't a single detail that they did not think of and I could not have had a more perfect day because of them.

The Transept was our #1 pick for venue and we were so excited to lock in our date. We got married there in January 2022. The day went very smoothly besides a few minor hiccups which I'm sure happen at most weddings so we took it in stride! The issues we experienced with the venue were mostly leading up to the wedding. Communication was MINIMAL. Every time we needed to schedule a meeting , I was the one reaching out. Often times not getting a response until days later. I didn't meet my assigned coordinator until the final meeting and only because I asked for her to be there. Every meeting felt rushed, like they just wanted us in and out the door. I thought our linens meeting was going to be going through options and explaining the rental process for specific table settings and linens. Instead, I was only asked if we wanted white or black and kind of sped along. I asked questions about other options and felt like the person in charge of the meeting was annoyed with me, like I was wasting their time. I HIGHLY SUGGEST hiring a wedding planner if you decide to have your wedding here. It's beautiful and the food is great, but if this is your first wedding planning experience, you need someone there to advocate for you and guide you in the process, because the planners offered in house just don't seem to care. Additionally, I asked multiple questions and tried to get things in order a week or two prior to our wedding and was brushed off.I know they have events every weekend, but it was extremely stressful having to constantly respond to emails two days before the wedding. Something I felt could've been avoided had time management been a little better on their end. Our only big issue day of was that we were told we had the whole building for us all day. Turns out they hosted an engagement party at the bar area during our wedding and we had MULTIPLE wedding crashers. When we discussed this with them afterwards they didn't apologize or take ownership, but told us our guests were also trying to crash the engagement party. Our guests thought that was part of our event because it was supposed to be. Overall, I would suggest getting married there ONLY and only if you have an outside wedding planner hired.

We had a fantastic experience having our wedding at The Transept! First, the space is absolutely gorgeous - I was looking for a more unique venue (i.e. not a hotel ballroom wedding) and immediately fell in love with The Transept. The bridal tower in particular is STUNNING and was such a fun place to spend the day getting ready with my bridesmaids. Second, the wedding coordinators and staff is extremely professional and great to work with. Jennifer is so on top of it and we felt taken care of throughout the whole process - from booking the venue, to postponing our wedding a year, to the wedding day. Funky's food also cannot be beat - we received so many compliments from guests on how amazing all the food and drinks were. Overall we really couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out and are so happy we chose to have our wedding at The Transept!

From start to finish, everyone associated with The Transept was AMAZING. Such attention to detail, nothing overlooked, and a BEAUTIFUL venue. From our planning meetings, to visits to visualize the space, dealing with Covid, to the rehearsal and the wedding day, it was first class from start to finish. The area the wedding party got ready in was stunning and a fun start to the festivities. We utilized the entire building for ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing. Such a unique spot! Highly recommend Jennifer and her team!

Funky's Catering and the team at the Transept was above and beyond our greatest expectations. Our wedding of ~130 guests was perfectly spaced out and floated throughout the beautiful spaces seamlessly. The Vestry and The Assembly made the perfect backdrop for our indoor photos, and Washington Park is just a stone's throw away for outdoor pictures too. The staff was top-notch and made sure not only me and my husband were taken care of, but all of our immediate family too. 10/10 – would recommend The Transept to every couple looking for a beautiful venue in downtown Cincinnati.

The Transept was such a beautiful and perfect venue for our wedding. I loved getting ready in the bridal suite and we were able to take some amazing pictures outside and across the street at Washington Park. The Funky's team was great to work with--I did not have a wedding planner nor did I need one because they had a team of people that made sure all the details were taken care of. Shannon and Anna were especially awesome the day of the wedding!

The Transept was the perfect space for our rehearsal dinner. The space was romantic and nicely decorated. The food was really good and we were able to feed our gluten free guests easily! They accommodated us with a screen for a slideshow my mother surprised us with as well! The staff was kind and attentive. Overall, great space with great people!

This venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the service was great. Truly everything was 5 stars all around except for dealing with the details and payments. Perhaps our issues were a one-off because our coordinator switched about three months out, but we consistently had issues with information we were told regarding the planning of our event and costs, and what the final bill was. It was exhausting having to perpetually go over everything with a fine-toothed comb and compare. And I felt frustrated that after we provided a cash tip, they emailed us asking us about more. I think these issues would have been different if we had the same coordinator the entire time and if they were upfront with all costs at the very beginning. Overall, I would still highly recommend the venue and funkys catering services. The venue is exceptional.

We were super excited to book the Transept for our wedding day, because we loved the look and the location. From the start, the Funky's staff was AMAZING. They held multiple meetings with us to keep the planning on track, and were very accommodating and always easy to reach. The pricing is very reasonable compared to other similar venues. The food was hands down, the best wedding food I've had, and so many of our guests said the same. They also provided great options for our vegetarian, vegan, and food-allergic friends! Last but not least, the venue is beautiful! Simplistic, which made our flowers really pop! The bridal suite is a gorgeous place for pictures. I cannot say enough good things about Funky's and the Transept!

I can't say enough about the Transept and how perfect it was for our wedding on 10/13. From day one, Emily was helpful, professional, and kind, and she and the Funky's team was able to perfectly execute our wedding vision. The day went off without a hitch and the Transept was even more gorgeous in person than it is in the photos. People are still calling me to talk about the venue - it's one of the most beautiful and unique in Cincinnati! I can't recommend Transept and the Funky's team highly enough. It was a magical day all thanks to them.
