This venue is relatively new in hosting wedding parties. I believe we were the second they ever had. My husband and I tried to keep that in mind throughout the process, however, they made it very difficult. They changed venue coordinators 4 times. Two in which they failed to notify us which led to gaps in our planning, communication, and coordination between my husband and I and our wedding planner. In addition, one of the staff that was supposed to meet us for our food & beverage appointment that we made a month prior, failed to show. Luckily, one of the bar managers was there to help take care of us in his absence. However, we asked for an open bar and halfway through the night the bartenders told guests they had to pay. We found out and had to sort it out taking time away from our celebration. This venue also tried to make us pay an additional $500 for market lights to put in a tent that they recommended we have on the patio during cocktail hour, however, the fee was never discussed prior and was not in our contract. They waited until 10 days prior to our wedding to notify us of the fee. Thankfully, they waived it but only after they looked into our previous correspondence with their coordinators. I would also like to add that I noticed they kept the market lights up that evening even though our tent was up. That doesn’t quite add up…I believe this location is beautiful and has potential. However, their staff needs to be better trained in customer service and professionalism. In addition, they need better communication with one another and vendors. The one person we really loved at this venue was Jeremiah. He made our food for the wedding and did an outstanding job!! He was kind, courteous, and had wonderful customer service! We could tell he just wanted our day to be special. The rest of the staff could learn from him.
The venue and team at Transfer Food Hall made our wedding the perfect day. We unfortunately had to change our wedding venue about 4 months prior to our wedding and Transfer was right there to help us. They quickly worked through the contract with us and we were comfortable from the start that we had nothing to worry about.
The Event Manager Tyshia and staff were so accommodating and responsive that we felt extremely taken care of and happy with our choice. They worked through every detail with us from where the caterer could set up, where we could enter, what spaces we could use, ideas for how to set up chairs/cocktail hour/reception etc as well as suggesting the bar menu and working closely with our coordinator to ensure that, even in our tight timeframe, everything was organized down to the very last detail.
Every question and long list email from us or our coordinator was answered quickly and Tyshia was always available to meet with us or our vendors. She always had options for us to choose from so we never felt at a loss for what to do or where to turn. She took a personal interest in our event which was more than appreciated.
Directly before the wedding, there was an issue with where we wanted to have cocktail hour (unbeknownst to us) and, even though we still could have had it at the original location, Tyshia took the initiative to move our cocktail hour to a new location at the venue to ensure our day was perfect. She did not take anything less than perfection for the venue and our requests.
During the wedding, the bar service even sent us a free bottle of champagne to congratulate us.
Everything was seamless and ran smoothly. We could not have asked for a better venue or staff. They were responsive, honest and went out of their way for us and our guests. The service was outstanding and we received a ton of positive feedback from our guests.
We would highly recommend the space and team to anyone looking to host a wedding or event.
