o you on May 8, 2023 (13 months ago) announcing that I have uploaded additional [51] that were inadvertently looked over and re-edited images to your album. In that same email I requested you to review and advise if they [the additional images and edits] meet with your approval. You replied on May 9th with “Thank you so much!” This reply was interpreted as being satisfied with the requested updates and image modifications. Because of your review, I went to look at your gallery’s download history and our email exchanges. In reviewing there appears to be a misunderstanding. As of the date of this reply, your account history shows only three of the fifty-five images in the “Post-Release” menu viewed and downloaded (images Post-Release 1-3 were downloaded). The last download of images done by you was on May 4, 2023. I have thus concluded that as of the review posted, you haven’t logged in to see the post-release images 4-55 since I announced they are available via my May 8, 2023 email. In piecing these factual events together, some of the issues raised in your review are not the result of my performance. These images are and remain in the “Post-Release” menu and have not been downloaded. As a reminder, all delivered images are yours and Trent’s to have and keep. Please advise if you need log-in information. I encourage you to log in and download them when you are able. Next issue I’d like to address are the alleged “missing” images and edits. 1) On May 1, 2023 you made a request for me to find three additional images. I uploaded two of the requests. There was only one image not captured and that was the whole wedding party during the ceremony. Given the size of wedding party I was focused on you, Trent, and the wedding party on stage. I also remember providing you feedback there was a lot of commotion going on for the inside wedding party one one pictures. Given the dynamic nature of a wedding day some pictures may not have been.captured. This is normal for weddings as described in our contract. I asked for your feedback about the uploaded images and received a longer list of requests that are stated came from your mother. 2) I acknowledge that there was a request to remove the “snowflake” from both you and Trent’s faces from image 197. In your request, you mentioned that your mother was making this request and understood that “…some of this might not be possible but she wanted to ask!” I was successful with removing it from Trent’s face, but for your face it was difficult due to the placement of the snowflake over the corner of your mouth and teeth. I need corresponding facial features to be able to replace the snowflake. This was communicated to you via an email on May 4, 2023. I was successful at reducing the snowflake’s appearance and found that the delivered image (in the Post-Release menu and not viewed) was a good compromise. I am sorry you feel this is unacceptable, however it is the best that can be done. I will acknowledge that (in the time since your wedding edits were done) Lightroom and Photoshop have improved their artificial intelligence functions. However, on the date of this reply, even with the new functionality in Lightroom, I still cannot remove the snowflake to where I think the image is acceptable for delivery. I also do not use artificial intelligence within Lightroom and Photoshop as that would violate the privacy, I promised to you both. Now, on the other end, I was very successful at using Lightroom and Photoshop to remove other snowflakes and water spots from the suits on both you, Trent, and the dresses of two best-brides-people. 3) In reviewing the images and corresponding digital negatives, I have noticed that your skin tone is paler than others that attended your wedding. This isn’t you being ghostly, it is the representation of your skin tone. I like to keep my client’s skin natural. Only in this review did you raise a concern on this topic. You also requested that the yellow cast of your venue lights be reduced. Again I was under the impression these re-edited images met with your approval when you replied "Thank you so much" on May 9th. Lastly, I’d like to address the concern raised that I made your wedding party uncomfortable, and they felt rushed. This feedback also.perplexes me. I reviewed my notes from the day, and it reminded me of a few things. One, I remember taking pictures in the snow at the Ankeny District with you, Trent, and the two best-bride-people. The weather at the time was cold, windy, and snowy. I recall the best-brides-people were getting cold and wet from the falling snow. I supplied my umbrella to keep everyone as dry as possible. This is the only time I can recall “rushing” things. I did so to keep people from getting too chilled and wet in the snow and to keep your suits and dresses as dry as possible. Furthermore, I recall receiving multiple compliments from people on your party bus at my approach and wonderful attitude. In fact, many offered me drinks at the bar and shots on the bus (of which I declined). I also remember having my butt spanked/grabbed by someone in your wedding party on the party bus on more than one occasion. I am surprised at your feedback as to anyone feeling uncomfortable given my experiences throughout the day. I also remember compliments on the efficiency in getting family pictures done. If memory serves me correctly everyone was in good spirits. I also recall we were waiting for members from Trent’s family to arrive due to the very heavy wet snow falling at the time family pictures were scheduled to be taken. I remember being very flexible (as is my style) to the delay. In the 13 months since your images were released the May 9, 2023 reply of "Thank you so much" gave me the impression you were satisfied with my work in fufilling your requests. This review is the only communication since then that any issue existed between us. Please reach out if you have further questions or concerns.
