This review is specifically for Melanie Haig! I did not have the opportunity to have Melanie at Trenton Country Club but at Old York Country Club but her services and professionali...
sm were too suburb to not leave a review! From the moment we booked our wedding she was organized and excited for us, once we met she listened to our vision, and was very open to all of our ideas. During the planning process she was available and responsive the entire time easing any stress we had! The day of the wedding she was attentive and by my side the whole day! I was so grateful to have her there supporting me as well as ensuring that all the behind the scenes decorating and set up was going to plan. Even after the wedding she had everything cleaned up and ready to be picked up in boxes! She exceeded my expectations and more and any bride as well as Trenton Country Club will be so lucky to have her!!
*This review is specific to the superb service we received from Melanie Haig for our 10/2021 wedding at Melanie's previous place of employment. She was so great we wanted to share ...
our review.
Trenton Country Club Brides - you are in luck! Our wedding was in great hands from day one with Melanie. She answered all of our questions during our initial tour, addressed our concerns as we confirmed details for our booking, and supported us through the entire year of the wedding preparation process. We navigated a tough situation with a vendor, and Melanie communicated and was transparent about her concerns and helped us feel comfortable with our decisions. My never ending lists of questions, excess of decor and last minute guest challenges didn't phase her. She always had a solution. On the day of the wedding we didn't have to think about anything - Melanie already had it taken care of. She truly let us enjoy our wedding as she handled the details and logistics - Thank you!
I attended a wedding here on 7-17-2021 . I would discourage anyone from using this venue in it ‘s current state of disrepair . It was 95+ degrees that day and the air conditioning ...
was broken . The cocktail space was too small to accommodate the guests . They were short staffed and dinner service was very slow . There were unsightly fans placed on the dance floor that did little to cool the room . The electric went out several times and the intermittent internet connection led to malfunction of the photo booth ( never did get my photos ) There was water running down the wall behind the sweetheart table and there was makeup running down my face . My fancy dress was soaked from perspiration as was my husbands suit . DO NOT USE THIS VENUE .
This review is WAY overdue but totally necessary.
I could not imagine having had our wedding AND reception anywhere else. We worked, from day one until the wedding day, with Rich...
ard Portney, and I truly believe from the bottom of my heart that if you don't have Richard to work with for your wedding day, then you're nowhere near as lucky as we were.
Richard started our meetings off telling us how dedicated he was to making our day the best it could be, without us having to do much - because we should be able to enjoy our day. When I say he went ABOVE and BEYOND that role, I am not kidding.
The venue itself is beautiful. It's homey, and quaint ... the grounds are well taken care of ... the staff is amazing. Beyond that, it's a place where everyone truly cares. The day of our wedding, the ceremony was scheduled to be outside. It was a visibly GORGEOUS Autumn day ... blue skies, colorful leaves - AND, record breaking winds (figures, something has to go wrong haha). My husband (then fiance) built us a heavy-duty wooden wedding "Arch" to get married under, and it was beautiful. Three times before the ceremony began, it FELL OVER! Richard took it upon himself to go outside, and secure it into the ground so it wouldn't happen during the ceremony.
Before the day began, Richard was doing his final walk through of the venue to verify everything we had asked was done (because details are 120% his thing!), and he found that the wrong color chair covers were delivered (white instead of ivory), AND the vendor delivered them a wrinkled mess. Without even BLINKING, Richard got it taken care of (and, might I add, I had no clue this happened until AFTER the wedding) - we had crisp, clean, ivory chair covers and tablecloths like nothing had ever happened.
My florist delivered our centerpieces, and our bouquets and the bakers delivered our cake. They came at two separate times, so the greenery I wanted on our cake wasn't put on. HAVE NO FEAR, Richard looked at the photos I had given him ahead of time and saw it needed to be done, and did it himself!
My DJ got stuck in traffic on the way to the venue ... again, without even blinking, Richard took it upon himself to talk to the staff and keep our guests entertained in the cocktail hour space, while the DJ got set up, and it was like nothing happened.
Richard was there, every step of the way, from the beginning to the end of the evening (I mean, even as people were leaving - and then, the next morning for clean up). Everyone who met him, adored him, and saw how hard he worked. I'm telling you - the venue was beautiful, and amazing, and everything we had hoped for, and the food was delicious ... but, Richard made it the "flawless", most amazing day and we could NOT be more grateful.
If you're considering TCC for your wedding, I will ALWAYS recommend it ... and I will ALWAYS remember Richard as such an important part of the success of our wedding day.
We had an absolutely incredible wedding reception at the Trenton Country Club! We worked with Richard for almost a year before the big day and all along he was a pleasure to work...
with and helped with planning all of the details to make our day so special. The week leading up to the wedding day he coordinated with all of our vendors and the day of the wedding he made sure our vision was executed brilliantly. All of the staff at TCC were professional and friendly. We still have wedding guests raving about the spectacular food, the beautiful space, and how much fun they had. I know none of this would have been possible if it weren't for our venue and I am so grateful to have these beautiful memories. Thank you Richard Portney and everyone at TCC!
Excellent job! I recently had my wedding reception at Trenton Country Club and everything exceed my expectations. From the first time we met Richard through our wedding day their s...
ervice was exceptional. Our wedding day was seamless. All our guests commented on how pretty the club was and how great the food was, especially the updated appetizer selections! The dance floor is HUGE and everyone was comfortably dancing all night long. Would definitely recommend to any future couple.
Richard and his staff did a fabulous job for my daughters recent reception. The cocktail hour featured fabulous and plentiful appetizers with a lovely outside patio for the guests ...
to enjoy. Dinner was delicious and the service was very efficient. The country club has the largest dance floor of any venue we looked at and it was filled all evening. Richard was a pleasure to work with and he and staff were very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend this beautiful venue!
We are very thankful to Richard and the entire staff at Trenton Country Club for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Richard made the planning process very easy and wa...
s quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. He also had the day planned out and timed perfectly so we could really enjoy every aspect of our wedding. He also worked to coordinate everything with our vendors which was very helpful. The entire staff was professional and worked hard to make sure the day ran smoothly. Our guests had a great time and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere that the club provides. I really can't stress enough how good the food is, everything from the appetizers to the desserts was absolutely delicious. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue, and we are forever grateful to Richard and the entire staff at Trenton Country Club for helping make our wedding day perfect.
I cannot speak highly enough of the experience we had working with Trenton Country Club for our wedding. Richard was incredibly helpful, patient, and detail-oriented. He worked so ...
diligently to make sure everything was just how we wanted it. He checked in at several points throughout the night to make sure everything was ok with us. The staff who served our guests were incredible. They were professional, kind, and eager to help in any way they could. Trenton is such a beautiful location. Our pictures turned out beautifully. The food was delicious. Trenton does one wedding per day, so you do not have to compete with another wedding for space. If you are looking for a beautiful place and kind and professional staff to work with, have your wedding at Trenton CC!
My husband and I got married at the Trenton Country Club on April 22nd. Richard Portney, the catering director, and his staff are excellent. Richard was always extremely prompt in ...
responding throughout the planning process. We received so many compliments on the venue - the photographer raved about the grounds and the lighting of one of the rooms with huge windows which made for gorgeous photo ops. The place has a classic and elegant feel, but at a very reasonable cost. We are so happy we went with the Trenton Country Club - thank yo so much to Richard and his excellent staff!
My family attended a wedding at the Trenton Country Club in May and we had an absolutely fabulous time. The outdoor wedding ceremony site was simply beautiful. The area for cockt...
ails and the main banquet were equally lovely and well appointed. The service was top-notch - very professional and very attentive. And the food - delicious! I would highly recommend the venue for a wedding.
It's no joke that it sometimes feels like the stars align when you get something planned for your wedding, especially choosing the venue.
There are so many things to consider: l...
ooks, location, price, food options, alcohol, accessibility, size, service, back-up plans in case your outside ceremony gets rained out, cocktail hour... you get the idea.
For the better part of six months, my wife and I spent the weekends hunting for the Goldilocks of venues and low and behold, almost right in our backyard, we found the West Trenton County Club.
It's not to say that we didn't find other venues that fit what what we were looking for, but the service, reputation and feel of the West Trenton Country Club led us to our decision. Once the decision was made, it was Cammy Castiello who helped us every step of the way to plan our wedding. Let's be honest, she really knows what she is doing.
We got married on September 27, 2014 right outside on the lawn. The best part about it was that when the ceremony ended, Cammy and her team led our guests straight to the patio/terrace for cocktail hour to start night off with excellent food and drinks.
From the cocktail hour to the reception to the final send off, everything was perfect and it really did feel like the dream wedding that we had hoped for.
It's been over a year now and people still comment on the venue, food and how much of a great time they had.
I would STRONGLY recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a traditional but modern wedding.

red a reception at the Trenton Country Club. Giving it some thought, and mainly for my now husband, I agreed. Well, I felt like Cinderella that day. The reception was a dream come true. It started with a meeting with Cammie, who was opened to requests and challenges. She listened and help us plan the event. On the day of the wedding, I did not have the seating cards completed, she actually came to my house to pick them up. On to the reception, the facility was beautifully decorated, the food was delicious and artfully presented. The service was outstanding, friendly and very accomodating. My wedding was over a year and a half ago and people still tell me it was one, if not the best time they had at a wedding.
My wife and I were married in October of 2014. We worked closely with Cammy at the TCC and she was fantastic. The service and quality of the event was top notch. I would highly rec...
ommend TCC as the venue for anyone looking to get married. We also used the outside terrace during the cocktail hour which gave our guests an opportunity to see the beautiful grounds. The ice sculpture at the cocktail hour was also amazing. It was a big hit with our guests :)
Trenton Country Club was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. It was absolutely elegant and top notch. The planning was completely stress free thanks to Cammy. Her attent...
ion to detail was surely a big part of why we were able to totally enjoy the day. The food was beyond delicious and totally exceeded our expectations. Cammy and the entire TCC staff left nothing to be desired.
If there were more stars to give, TCC would definitely get them. We had our wedding reception here in June and my husband and I couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Cammy ...
is absolutely wonderful to work with and she made the planning process so easy and stress free. We received countless compliments from guests about the food, atmosphere, and hospitality of the staff. TCC is a venue with timeless elegance and food that is out of this world – no way anyone could go wrong with this place!
My wedding was in July 2014. We had our first look, ceremony and cocktail hour/reception at Trenton Country Club. I loved working with Cammy, Director of Catering and John, TCC man...
ager. They were friendly, accommodating, and incredibly helpful.
A few highlights from our experience include: John helping our photographer scout the perfect location for our first look. The Club's chef personally interviewing the staff at a local Chic-fil-a in order to recreate the mini chicken sandwiches sliders we requested that are not on TCC's catering menu and Cammy working with our wedding day coordinator easily and get us on track leading up to the day. Our guests are still raving about the food, the service and about having a truly fabulous time.
Thank you for the fun and fabulous wedding of my dreams, TCC!
Our wedding reception was more perfect than I imagined. Every last detail went above and beyond - from planning meetings to room set-up to food to service. Even a year later, we ...
receive compliments on how fantastic our reception was. Cammy and her team are absolutely amazing!
There is no more beautiful venue then the Trenton Country Club around the Christmas holidays. Every room is decorated with stunning Christmas trees, wreaths, garland and twinkling...
lights, including the outside. A huge gingerbread house beckons to all who walk by. The food is excellent, especially the hors d'oerves. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Trenton Country Club for any event.
Professional/ courteous/ elegant! Cammy was amazing and extremely helpful with the planning and execution of our wedding reception. We were invited into TCC along with a couple of...
guests to taste test the menu. Once our main course was set, the rest of the planning of the event just fell into place. There were several "check in's" from Cammy to us as reminders to us to make decisions. Her staff is very knowledgeable, courteous, and attended to our every need, before-during-and after our event. Everything was thought of! Our guests are still commenting on how great our reception was and how much they enjoyed it! If you decide to pick TCC for your party, Cammy is the best and you will not be disappointed.
This was an elegant venue but not stuffy at all! The food was great and the service was excellent! The valet parking went smoothly, cocktail hour was very nice and flowed out to ...
the patio, beautiful view. Great dance floor, music was perfect as I could still talk to the quests as I went around to the tables. We had flip books made for guests which all enjoyed. It seemed that the staff were enjoying themselves too! Cammy was a dream to work with.
It was a great value and I only wish I had another daughter to marry!
I almost don't want to let people know how good the Trenton Country Club is and instead keep it a little insiders' secret! My mom wrote the review below, so we're both happy custom...
ers. With a 200-person wedding, we had our pick of beautiful locations in the Bucks County area. But what made me choose the TCC was meeting Cammy Castiello. From the second I met her, I knew I was in good hands. She has a kind, patient disposition and I knew nothing would really faze her when it came to wedding stress (and brides, if you haven't encountered wedding stress yet, don't worry -- you will.) Cammy took care of every single thing in the months leading up to the wedding. Every last request I had for her was met with "yes." So great for a bride to hear! I actually started referring to Cammy as "the person of yes." ha ha
The day of the wedding, Cammy did a flawless job making sure our ceremony happened outside, despite scattered showers. In fact, we can even truly say to this day -- The Trenton County Club is so good at weddings, they'll even control the weather!
Now, the food and drink. Guests were RAVING to me about what amazing food it was -- some said the best they've ever had at a wedding -- and the sheer quantity of it. I've been to weddings where everyone is starving after and we all pack into some dive bar and load up on wings, etc. Not mine. The steak was cooked to perfection -- perfectly medium rare. In fact, my husband turned to me and said "That chef has balls to cook a steak like this for 200 people." Know what I mean? Most country clubs and other such venues overcook their meat. Not the TCC. My dad and others are still raving about the crab cakes. The sea bass with a lemon beurre blanc was flawless -- literally better than many restaurant fish dishes I've had. I could go on, but if you want to give your guests delicious food and well-made, strong drinks -- not mention flawless staff and service -- choose the TCC. Or not -- like I said, I'd like to keep it an insiders' secret!
Overall, I felt the need to write because Cammy did such a great job and she should be commended publicly for it. I'm not writing all my wedding vendors positive reviews, but the Trenton Country Club was the best decision I made. We did not have one mishap all day and I did not have to worry about a single thing other than having fun and being with my new husband!
Trenton Country Club is the best all-inclusive wedding venue in the Princeton, NJ region. We wanted a Bucks County country wedding venue, but needed to cross the Delaware River to ...
find the perfect location for an indoor-outdoor May wedding for 200 guests.
Lucky we did. Rain showers and chilly temperatures might have made our May wedding in a tent very messy. Instead, the professional staff (full-time employees under the direction of Cammy Castiello) of the expansive Trenton Country Club seized control all the elements, even adverse weather.
In a last-minute plan, The staff diverted 200 guests into the spacious clubhouse, then quickly ushered everyone into the garden for a outside ceremony when the golf pro predicted a break in the weather.
Then back to the clubhouse for fabulous cocktails, lamb chops, mini crab cakes...
Finally, guests were invited into the beautiful ballroom for a four-course Zagat-worthy dinner and dancing. "Best wedding food ever," our guests said. And, lots of it! Thank you Cammy and Trenton Country Club.
Alex totally took care of the day. I didnt have to think about a single thing but having fun.
I just got married last month and held both my ceremony and reception at the Trenton Country Club! I cannot express how wonderful the entire event was for me, my husband and our fa...
milies! It was perfect!
The entire planning process went so smoothly, with the help of Alex, the event coordinator, who organized everything. He gave us advice where we needed it and also let us feel as though it was our unique day.
All of the food was unbelievable! This was very important to my husband and we have been getting non-stop rave reviews from our guests about how the temperature of the food was perfect and they have never had food at a wedding that was so good, especially the crab cakes!
My bridesmaids and I were taken care of by the staff and made sure we were where we needed to be for the entire day.
Many of my friends warned me that something would go wrong on my wedding day and to be prepared- but nothing went wrong!!! TCC staff are soo professional, courteous, genuine and fun. Everything is so elegant.
Alex and the staff at TCC made this the most perfect day for us!!!! We cannot thank them enough!!
I recently got married, and had my reception at the Trenton Country Club. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful our reception was, thanks to Alex (Event Coordinator ...
at TCC) and the staff at the country club. Absolutely everything about the country club is top notch. We knew we'd be spending more at TCC than at other places, but every dollar we spent was worth it. From the second the bridal party and I arrived, we were taken care of and did not have to worry about a single thing. Alex and his team made sure everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Alex also ensured my wedding was special and unique. We met on several occasions over the year prior to the wedding, and he would work on encorporating our ideas for the wedding, while coming up with some really great ideas that had never been done before at the club (e.g., special off-the-menu appetizers based on our favorite foods, signature cocktails, unique decorations, etc). He truly made our day special, and it was so nice to have someone we could count on to make sure everything went smoothly and was taken care of. He also kept us on track during the year, ensuring everything got done on time and we never felt overwhelmed with planning.
The grounds are beautiful, and there is a lovely patio that overlooks the golf course for the cocktail hour. The food is out of this world - I have guests constantly telling me how they were some of the "best crabcakes they've ever had" and the hors d'oerves were amazing. Another comment I keep recieving is how wonderful and attentive the staff was. They made sure everyone's drinks were filled, any special requests were recieved, and everyone had a great time. Our guests stayed at the Trenton Marriott, which worked out a deal with the country club to run complimentary shuttles back and forth, so our guests didn't have to worry about driving. I could go on and on about how wonderful TCC is. Alex and everyone at the country club helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives!
The space was large enough where you did not have to have your guests on top of each other. There were different romms for different options for cocktail and dessert hours. The s...
taff was unbelievable. Very helpful and attentive, where my guest actually commented. The food was excellent
1) The Staff - They were utterly helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. During the reception they made sure that we were as happy as could be. When we exited the limou...
sine, they were waiting with drinks in hand for us. They made sure we got enough food and made sure everything was to our liking throughout the evening. 2) The atmosphere - It is on a beautiful golf course. The flowers surrounding the atrium are amazing and create a wonderful place to take pictures. The atrium itself is wonderful - open and airy with the two curved staircases that create a very formal look. 3) The food - All of the food was wonderful.....you cannot miss the potato bar;Make sure the bartenders are making the drinks properly.....one of ours was terrific, but the other made them with little alcohol as possible.
