I can't say enough about Trillium. We were a guest at another wedding they catered and the food as well as the service was the best we had ever had at a wedding. We were so excited they were able to do our wedding as well and everything was PERFECT. All of our guests commented on how amazing the food was. The team was professional and excellent, I couldn't recommend them enough.

Trillium was incredible, I can't recommend them enough! Food was one of our highest priorities for the wedding and Trillium really delivered. Everything from the passed apps to cocktails, dinner and dessert were delicious and presented beautifully. Additionally, I know there are a lot of formal wedding cake bakers in Maine, but Trillium's cake was far and away the best we tasted. Not only was the food perfect, but their service was incredible. There was never a line for the bar, no long pauses waiting for food to come out during dinner, and they knew who had dietary restrictions day-of and accommodated them so smoothly. Finally, Mike and Abigale were so communicative and easy to work with. Between the food and the service, they were perfect!

If you have the option to hire them, then DO IT! They will make your wedding amazing. Our guests still talk about the food. They went out of their way to research food from my home state, and did a fantastic job of recreating some of my favorite foods from home. There is no way to say enough good things about Trillium and how thankful we are for everything they did to make our wedding weekend great

While a review about a caterer should probably start with the food, you can't talk about Trillium without first talking about the people behind Trillium: Abigale and Michael are two of the most incredible people ever, and their team is amazing. We were fortunate to meet them for a tasting (we ultimately compared 3 highly rated caterers with whom we did tastings) and were immediately struck by their genuine passion for food and drink, getting to know their clients, and their in-depth expertise in all aspects of events. Throughout the multiple months of planning a destination wedding, we frequently talked to and emailed Abigale and Michael about anything related to food during our weekend, and every moment was met with kindness, fun, extremely helpful guidance, and even coordination with other vendors and venues. Their amazing qualities as people are only matched by their talents with gastronomy and mixology. We worked with Trillium for 4 events/5 menus across 3 days at 2 different venues - a Rehearsal Dinner, a Welcome Reception at a different venue (which Trillium simultaneously set up while serving the rehearsal dinner), the post-ceremony Cocktail Hour with passed hors d’ouevres, the Reception Dinner, and a Farewell Brunch. We affectionately referred to our wedding weekend as "Exploring Trillium's Entire Repertoire while Amanda and Phil Get Married in the Background," and among the first comments we received (and continue to receive) from guests is how great the food was. The food created by Trillium is absolutely delicious. The flavors, textures, and ingredients they use are thoughtfully selected, and the presentation is always beautiful, whether plated, passed, or a station. The same can be said for their cocktails. Abigale and Michael took time to learn our interests, preferences, and the theme we hoped to achieve, and happily developed creative (and delicious) ideas or modifications. They further went above and beyond by working with us to create hors d’oeuvres based on foods special to us: a fun spin on a bulgogi dish using my mom’s recipe, and a clever take on my wife’s favorite from home, beef wellington. Their flexibility and ability to let their talents shine while collaborating with us really helped make our wedding feel even more special. Beyond the food, their support and passion for making an event special are unmatched, and we’ve provided just a few examples here. Michael coordinated with different beer and cider distributors to help ensure we could serve our favorite New England craft brews and a D.C. cider special to us. In addition to the delicious cake made by their pastry chef, Kiwi Rae, they gladly served donuts we brought from The Holy Donut and worked with my wife to secretly prepare a surprise brown butter rice krispie treat cake. They often went out of their way to liaise with vendors on rentals and services beyond catering and helped us coordinate and strategically consolidate rentals for the weekend’s events. At one point before the ceremony, the mother of the bride’s corsage was damaged from hugging someone --= one of the Trillium team members quickly rushed off to find materials to repair the corsage (with success!). In short, we cannot imagine any part of our wedding weekend without Trillium, because they were so much more than perfect catering - they helped make the overall experience amazing. We hope we have another reason to work with them in the future, and we wholeheartedly recommend them.

We got married in 2019 and working with Trillium for our wedding was an absolute dream. Almost two years later, we are STILL having folks talk to us about how delicious the food was. They did an outstanding job and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Their service is exceptional, their presentation is top notch, and most importantly, their food is DELICIOUS. We highly recommend using Trillium, you will not be disappointed. Everything was divine and they are so easy and exciting to work with. Genuine, kind, everything you could want out of a caterer. Thank you for making our day so special and delicious! We could not have had a better experience. We remember walking in to the cocktail party after photos and Michael was there with a drink and a plate of each passing hors d'oeuvres waiting for us - thank you, sir! The staff was so accommodating and helpful, we had an excellent experience with Trillium!

I will probably just echo what others have said below, but I Trillium deserves each of these good reviews! Food was my (bride) most important wedding decision, and I am SO happy that we went with Trillium. We were completely sold at the tasting, and the food lived up to those high expectations at the wedding. We received so many compliment on the food from our guests, and my parents who have very high standards loved the food as well. They were accommodating of dietary restrictions - including gluten free guests and vegans. I just can’t say enough great things about the food! In addition, their service was impeccable from start to finish. They were prompt in responding to emails, professional and really cared about getting things right for us. Michael even chased down a specific Scotch my husband wanted for his specialty cocktail! Of all the things you may worry about in planning your wedding, anything Trillium handles will never be on that list. They did all of our rental coordination which was huge, it made our lives so much easier! They have relationships with other vendors in Maine, which goes a long way in the tight wedding vendor community. I really could go on and on, but if you are wondering if Trillium is right for you, I can honestly say you will be so glad to have Michael and Abigale as your catering team!

As someone who works in the wedding industry, I have had many boring wedding meals. When my wife and I got engaged and we were prioritizing our vendors, the caterers were at the top of our lists. Being out of state, it was difficult to pick someone when you haven’t tasted their food but after looking at Trillium’s instagram and website, it was clear that they were the winners. Abigale and Michael are amazing and it’s apparent that they really enjoy what they do. They are so friendly which made communicating with them a breeze. On our wedding day, Abigale and her team were so unbelievably attentive. There was never a server far from me or my wife and they even put together a little tray of all our hors d’oeuvres to make sure we could try them all. When we sat for dinner, the service was so beautifully choreographed and the food was so delicious. Never in my life have I heard so many people get excited about carrots (make sure you have them on your menu)!! We loved working with them and would recommend them to everyone and anyone getting married in Maine.

My husband and I live in the midwest but decided to get married in Maine this year. We planned our wedding from afar WITHOUT taking a trip ahead of our wedding weekend (meaning we also did not do any food tastings ahead of time...). We come from food-centered families, and the food for our wedding weekend was very important to us. In fact, this was the single vendor I was most concerned with booking. We found Trillium based on recommendations and reviews, and booking them was the BEST decision we could have made. Prior to the wedding, the were helpful, courteous, understanding, thoughtful, and professional. During our wedding weekend, they truly went above and beyond. The food, drinks, staff, and service exceeded all of our expectations. Everyone was friendly, smiling, personable, and helpful. Staff (including Michael and Abigale) went out of their way to make sure my husband and I had anything we needed or wanted- walking well out of their way while we were taking pictures to check in with us and offer some small bites. The food was absolutely stellar. Words don't do justice. Trillium catered our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour/reception, and brunch, and we couldn't get enough. Our guests RAVED endlessly about the food, with everyone saying this was easily the best catered meal they had ever experienced and would order any item at a restaurant. I could go on and on, but the simple fact is, Trillium was excellent in every sense of the word. They made our celebration what we hoped for and accounted for every detail in an incredibly organized manner. We COULD NOT have asked for a better experience.

Words cannot even describe how amazing our experience with Trillium was! Everyone was in awe not only over the food itself, but the presentation of everything! Michael and the staff came up to us throughout the day/ night and offered a plate of all the apps and always made sure we had a drink when we wanted one. Abigale and Michael were so professional and responsive every step of the way during our planning process. We truly cannot thank them enough for how amazing they made our special day!

Abigale and Michael were absolutely amazing and we credit them with creating the wedding we had imagined. The food was incredibly important to us. We were immediately impressed with the sample menus they prepared and were very happy after we had the tasting. What they delivered the day of was exceptional! People loved the cocktail hour and all the apps. And we're still hearing about how amazing the burrata salad was. Five months later our friends and family are still talking about how amazing the food was, with one friend saying "It wasn't just good wedding food - that was a good high-end restaurant-quality meal." And on top of that, Michael helped us with all our rentals for our outdoor tented wedding. The day of, he made a point of making sure we had food and drinks and made us feel very cared for. It was a beautiful day that went off without a hitch and we cannot recommend Abigale and Michael enough!

Trillium catered our wedding last summer, and it can't be stated enough--they are INCREDIBLE, all around, hands down. My wife and I got married in August of 2017, and lucked out getting to have them for our wedding. They came highly recommended by numerous other vendors we interviewed, and we were sad to hear they were already booked for our date. However, when a cancellation came up, we booked them right away--one of the best parts of our wedding! Throughout the whole process, Michael and Abigale could not have been more wonderful and professional. Our tasting with them was delicious; having a number of vegetarian and gluten-free guests, they were accommodating and inventive with tasty menu options; through the planning stages they were responsive and knowledgeable; and on the day, despite some unforeseen spotty rain, they pulled everything off seamlessly, and with their typical flourish. To serve food to 200 guests, to get it to all of them while it's all hot, and to have it taste and look as incredible as it does is no small feat. Trillium makes it all look so easy, while you're left to enjoy your special day, leaving you with the best of memories. We recommend their services fully and without reservation--we'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

5 stars are not enough to accurately review Trillium. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Our wedding was a month ago and our guests are still talking about the delicious food and impressive service. Trillium thinks of EVERYTHING. They are kind, fun to work with, communicative, and AMAZING at what they do. Honestly, the food was incredible but equally amazing was the service. Our guests never had to wait for food, the bartenders and waitstaff were attentive, kind, and professional. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about Trillium. Also, the presentation of the food from the appetizers to the dessert is stunning. They use edible flowers and beautiful arrangements on the tables. This company thinks of everything and they really are amazing. If you have Trillium as your caterer your wedding is going to be INCREDIBLE.

Trillium is the best. We could not be happier with our choice to use them for our wedding. We had so many people tell us that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. It was SO DELICIOUS! And the presentation was beautiful. Furthermore, Abigale was so helpful, responsive and kind throughout the whole process. We had a wedding planner who wasn't so great but Abigale and Michael helped to fill in the gaps and I'm so grateful. Thank you! We wish we had an excuse to come see you and eat your fabulous culinary creations again! Best wishes to both of you!

My husband and I are coming off of our wonderful wedding weekend and a huge part of it being such a success is due to Trillium. I'll start with the food but that isn't the only thing that makes them so great. As expected, our food tasted exactly as good as it looked. The h'ordeuvres were phenomenal: from the Arancini balls with tomato caper relish (seriously good) to the mini lobster rolls to the corn fritters...they had the crowd buzzing. One guest told us: "You guys pumped up the h'ordeuvres so much and yet still, incredibly, they exceeded expectations. Our family style meal (which was the perfect logistical method for the dinner) was started off with possibly the best salad we've ever tasted (Arugula with grilled peaches and ricotta salata) before we moved on to the mains and sides, which were also fantastic. Abigale and Michael also accommodated our off-book request for late-night chipwiches which were delicious! Multiple guests told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had. The food alone would earn Abigale and Michael five stars, but their communication and helpfulness during the entire planning process put them over the top. They were are *incredibly* organized and were so pleasant straight from that first phone call through the final minute of the wedding. They offered logistical suggestions and were flexible to our needs. When we ran into a momentary snag in the planning process that was unrelated to catering, Abigale was my first call and she was happy to offer advice. Naturally, the staff on the day of the wedding were delightful and our guests raved about how friendly everyone was. We offer a resounding recommendation for Trillium, and would urge anyone who can to book them for their wedding or major event to do so!

Thank you for the opportunity to sing the praises of Trillium Caterers. It is rare to be able to state unequivocally that they truly exceeded everyone's expectations. They were professional, attentive, efficient, timely, easy to work with, flexible, service was discrete, but attentive, I could go on and on..... Most importantly the food was absolute perfection and the presentation gorgeous. We used them for both the rehearsal dinner and the reception dinner complete with late night snacks. The late night snacks were just the perfect exclamation mark to the end of a perfect evening! The rehearsal dinner was a buffet and beautifully displayed and executed. Their staff made sure everything was always available. The following evening was served family style and everything came out hot and in a very timely manner.... I cannot remember a wedding where this has ever happened!! I am also in the food business and am very particular. Abigale and Michael were able to meet all of our special requests. It was a farm to table foodies feast! The guests reviews were over the top...." Simply exquisite! Some of the best food we have ever had!! " We had several friends and contacts that we wanted to contribute to the event (pies and oysters) and they made it all work smoothly. They worked beautifully with all of our outside vendors and coordinated with them where needed. Because the wedding was on an island it presented many logistical issues...Michael and Abigale came to the island twice to make sure the weekend would go off without a hitch. On the second visit they brought the team leaders for the rehearsal dinner Marjorie and Arthur. They left nothing to chance.... We interviewed several caterers, but Michael and Abigail immediately understood our vision and out did themselves making sure it was reached! Absolutely magical! I will use them again for any event large or small! Cheers to Trillium!
