We had a great experience using Trinity for our wedding. We had a school bus to go back and forth from the wedding venue to our hotel. Our driver was Bridgette and she was awesome, very pleasant, and she even took one extra trip to return to the venue when me and my husband and some of our bridal party didn't make it down in time for the last scheduled shuttle.
Would never recommend. Left our guests stranded at the end of our wedding with no shuttle bus. Driver missing, dispatch called numerous times. The owners of our venue had to drive our guests in their personal vehicles back and forth to the hotel. Talk about embarrassing.
Unfortunately Trinity fell short in ever expectation. They were hired to shuttle guests to and from the hotel to venue from ~4p through 11:30p.
Trinity only completed 2 runs for a wedding of 150+ people and did not return to shuttle guests back after the wedding reception had concluded leaving elderly and other family members with no way to get back to the hotel. In addition to not fulfilling their contractual obligations the A/C on the bus was not functioning either (it was 80+ degrees that day). Further during those two runs the driver did not know how to find the venue (clearly marked on the street & on phone navigation).
No one should put their family & friends in this situation. It is not worth risking your entire wedding day on unreliable transportation.
At this time Trinity is unwilling to provide a full refund.
Trinity was great to work with. The ensured that our guests got to the church, the reception, and back to the hotel for our wedding. The driver was extremely accommodating at the end of the evening. Office staff were wonderful to work with regarding multiple trips and ensuring that the shuttle ran on a tight schedule day of.
Great service! We had no issues at all. The bus arrived on time at each place it was supposed to be at. Worked out great for my guests!
Trinity transportation was recommended to us by our hotel (Marriott at the Renaissance center) for shuttling around our wedding party on the day-of for pictures and also for shuttling guests back and forth from the hotel to the venue, about a 1.5 mile trek each way. We rented a 35-person bus for basically the whole day, and Trinity transportation was way cheaper than the other options. I had heard some negative things about them so I was a little hesitant, but I'm so glad we booked with them.
I was able to reserve and set the schedule months in advance. Payment method was a little old school (had to send a check to a PO box) but it was straightforward and it worked. The day of the wedding our bus showed up right on time, and our driver was absolutely awesome. He took us wherever we needed, fastest routes possible, and was so kind to us and our guests. Our guests said the shuttle rides went smoothly, he was always there when we said the shuttle would be there. I'm pretty sure he stayed a little bit past the time he was supposed to leave, since we had a lot of straggler guests trying to get one last dance in at the end of the wedding. The day of the wedding they made it stress free and fun, and that is worth everything.
There were a few things that I thought could be improved, though none of them were deal breakers. First, it was kind of difficult to communicate with the people in sales/advanced reservations. I was working with one lady, who then left the company unexpectedly, and nobody ever redirected me. I had to reach out to their help line to be reconnected with someone who could find my original reservation. I had similar problems when I called the week prior to the wedding to confirm. Something about the times had been entered incorrectly, and the lady at Trinity kept insisting I was wrong about the times I had hired the bus for. She was fairly rude, and insisted I was wrong, until she looked further into the reservation and saw that everything was listed correctly in the notes, but not the dispatch sheet, or something. So, that was not great. I'm glad I took a moment to call to confirm, otherwise I'm not sure what would have happened.
The other thing that would have been great is if Trinity had mentioned the use of a sign in the front driver window to let guests know it was the right shuttle. It honestly never occurred to me until I was at the motor lobby of our enormous hotel that there were like, 6 shuttles outside, and then I was worried our guests, especially our older guests, would be stressed out about which shuttle to get on. Ultimately it was probably my responsibility to make a sign for the bus, but as vendors for weddings it could be something they mention to help their customers think about logistics.
I would recommend them, just make sure to call a week before to confirm everything is correct!
Trinity got the job done! Was on time and did everything we asked. They were a little hard to get a hold of ahead of time but the day of, everything went smoothly!
Used Trinity to get from our hotel downtown to the wedding venue just a few blocks away due to cold weather. While it was quicker to walk, we knew that guests would appreciate having a shuttle available. When booking, they were very helpful in finding was worked best and was in our price range. Worked out great! The driver was on time and friendly.
Attempted to change the bus at the last minute. Trolley we booked was not available and we received a party bus. This was fine, however, I had to call the driver 4 times the morning of my wedding because they did not understand the specific pick-up directions I had sent and verified multiple times. Do not use.
I am surprised at the negative reviews, because Trinity worked out perfectly for our wedding. I was able to do all the booking details online with Brittany Martin, who was very responsive and accommodating. Even though the company is based in Michigan, and our wedding was in Bowling Green, OH, the driver was on time, and followed the schedule as planned. He was also flexible in adding a couple unscheduled stops at the end of the night. The value was excellent, and getting a shuttle that fit about 25 people for several hours, was much more affordable through Trinity, than hiring a limo for 2 or 3 hours. I am happy with the service that Trinity provided, and everything worked out great!
Our hotel booked Trinity Transportation and coordinated everything for us, since we had so many rooms booked there for our wedding. We had scheduled the service to pick guests up from the hotel starting at 3:45, and then another at 4:15, to take people to the ceremony/reception location. The 3:45 shuttle didn't arrive until 4:30, because the driver did not know where he was going and didn't bother asking for directions until a guest noticed he turned around multiple times, and offered his iPhone GPS. Since he was late dropping them off, he was late getting the second round of people, so we had to start our ceremony 45 minutes late. During the reception, the shuttle was supposed to take guests back every 30 minutes, starting at 9:30 pm. When some guests got on the shuttle, they said they couldn't leave until the entire bus was filled, so my guests were kind of forced to stay there longer. At the end of the night, the shuttle was supposed to be there to take everyone back at 11:30 (when the reception ended). They were not there until 12:15, and then couldn't fit everyone on the bus. The final shuttle left the venue at 1 am, and dropped passengers off at the hotel at 1:30 am. Obviously, all of this is pretty unacceptable.
We used Trinity for our wedding and deeply regret it.
We booked a coach bus to take our guests from the hotel to the wedding venue. We provided timelines and directions, sent a map; all the info they requested.
The bus was very late (around an hour) to the ceremony because they didn't follow the directions we provided.
The bus itself was great - spacious, extremely clean, perfect for the size of our wedding. However, I was EXTREMELY disappointed and upset regarding the driving. I provided the company my itinerary of the locations that we wanted to take photos. On the day of it was like the driver had NO idea where we wanted to go and I even printed out a colored map with direction by direction instructions on how to get from each location to the next. We asked to go to Hart Plaza...she drove down to Rivard Plaza not even knowing. Then took Atwater the entire way back to Hart Plaza where we were stopping every 20 feet for pedestrians. This caused us to lose 45 minutes of photo time. It finally got to the point where we couldn't even get to Hart Plaza and got dropped off at Joe Louis and had to walk (which with 10 girls in heels...wasn't the best situation). Although our driver was very friendly, it just seemed like we constantly needed to tell her where to go. She would get out of the bus every stop which would then just take more time once we were ready to go to the next stop. We wanted to take photos at Scott Fountain on Belle Isle and went around in circles...twice...before we finally got there. This caused us to be late to the reception and we were unable to get ANY sunset photos at our venue (DYC) which is a huge reason why we wanted our reception at that location. We had a list of 6 locations that we wanted photos at and we were only able to make it to 3 due to the lack of knowing where to go and how to navigate the city. This was extremely disappointing for my husband and I as we now do not have wedding photos at some of our favorite and most sentimental places around the city of Detroit. I also asked the company to confirm the driver's name and when they would be arriving...then never heard anything so I was even nervous whether or not they would show up on time. I had no idea who to look for at our hotel to pick us up which made for some awkward encounters when there were four other shuttles looking to pick up bridal parties.
Other than the actual cleanliness of the bus, I wouldn't recommend this company again without SERIOUS conversations regarding where you want to go. I'm not sure how much more detailed I could have been....I literally had a map with every location, in the order, with step by step instructions. Also, in the grand scheme of things, I would think that if you are a limo driver in the city of Detroit, you should be very knowledgeable of the city and how to get around.
We used trinity for our September wedding. The staff and driver were so amazing. Punctual, clean and accommodating; one of the groomsmen had peanuts on the bus prior to picking up the bridesmaids. One of my girls is HIGHLY allergic the driver wiped down everything before we got in next just to be sure! Excellent service and price!
