!! We could not have asked for a better duo to help make our special day so incredible. What I loved about True Event: Sarah and Lexi were always on the ball, nothing slipped through the cracks. They also brought things to my attention that I would have never considered. They pushed back when needed. They made me really consider each decision I made and helped right the ship if needed. If I said no to something (the first look, not wanting to start getting ready until 4pm, etc.) and they thought it would exponentially improve my day to do that thing, they pushed back. That is HUGE when you're planning a wedding. They're TRUE partners and they know how to make your wedding really, really, really special. 100/10 would recommend to anyone getting married.

nship with Sarah and her team. I was warned that wedding planning was stressful, loaded with emotional and financial minefields but Madelyn and I had so much fun. It was bonding for she and I and Sarah’s love for all her vendors and passion for her work was infectious. Madelyn and I looked forward to every call and every zoom. Sarah’s taste is impeccable and she really listens. She is never pushy and when we asked if something was important to add, she gave her honest opinion. “Spend your money here, not there” was often said. Even when we couldn’t articulate what we wanted , Sarah sent a picture or a few pictures based on our conversations and we couldn’t believe how accurately Sarah was able to decipher our thought ramblings. And have I mentioned that she is calm and almost zen when we began to panic about anything? Cut to the wedding weekend …this is where Sarah and Alexis shined . We had a destination wedding, with 175 guests landing in Vermont. There were snafus with hotels, which Sarah and Alexis handled immediately. They knew what we needed even if we didn’t know what we needed. The wedding day was magnificent, literally everything we dreamed of. Sarah’s suggestions for band, photographer and florist were spot on. Alexis even noticed that midway through the party, Madelyn was struggling with a bustle that wouldn’t stay up and she ran to the hotel to pick up another outfit so Madelyn could change and dance comfortably. I wish I had another party to plan so we could work with Sarah again!!!

Heading into the planning process, I was worried about being overwhelmed by the seemingly endless number of vendors and decisions that would need to be made, and Caitlin alleviated those concerns immediately. She struck exactly the right balance between getting to know my husband and I and understanding our style, while also using her experience and expertise to guide us in the right direction, ultimately landing on a set of vendors and style choices that would be a perfect reflection of us as a couple in the final event. Throughout the process, I looked forward to my weekly calls with Caitlin immensely. She is such a wonderfully kind person, is incredibly organized and knowledgeable about every step of the process, and also has a very calming presence that consistently saved me from feeling overwhelmed or stressed out. She was extremely proactive and organized about coordinating with vendors, and knew exactly when to loop me in while making sure I never felt overwhelmed. The few weeks leading up to the wedding coincided with an incredibly busy time at work, and I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without her. The wedding weekend itself was, quite simply, flawless. My husband and I (and many of our guests!!) have said about a million times since that we wish we could go back and re-live it over and over again. From the moment we arrived at the venue, Caitlin and her team were there making sure everything was on track, so that all we had to do was relax and and not think about a single thing other than celebrating with each other and our friends and family. The entire weekend flowed beautifully, the decor choices were stunning, and we heard from so many of our guests that it was the best wedding they had ever attended, and I think a large part of that is due to Caitlin and True Event. They were an absolute joy to work with from start to finish, and I would recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation!

My late husband, Ashley’s father, had promised her the wedding of her dreams and she had, over time, created a vivid and richly-detailed vision of the event that Sarah ‘magically’ made real for her. I ran my own catering company for twelve years and planned my share of weddings; I am well aware that Sarah’s graceful and seemingly effortless execution of the entire extravaganza was, in reality, the result of assiduous attention to detail, tireless preparation and contingency planning and a wonderful capacity for collaboration and communication. She juggled the often conflicting priorities of the bride, the site planners, the hotel event staff and literally dozens of other vendors, while subtly nudging them all toward a coherent team effort with charm and finesse. I know from professional experience how much hard work goes into making things look easy. Often, it’s the little touches that leave lasting impressions and fond memories. In the final, hectic minutes before we left the house for the ceremony, it was discovered that one of the wedding party did not have his specially matched tie (all of the ties had been ordered months in advance and couldn’t be replaced.) Sarah made a matching tie “materialize” out of thin air ; always “Be Prepared” for any eventuality. She had saved a spare. Moments later, as we awaited the arrival of the shuttle, she noticed that my son, who was perspiring freely in the 90 degree heat, was in need of tee shirt to protect his dress shirt, she raced off and bought him one. A true pro...a great company!

k and immediately got to work on vendor suggestions and offered contacts for things we didn’t even realize we would need (lighting, toilets, etc). Every member of my family that met her was so impressed by how calm she is. She knows what needs to get done and makes it happen without being aggressive or overbearing. She was a joy to work with, always responding to my scattered emails with my random ideas. Cant forget to mention Caitlin, who was always so helpful and responsive and jumped in to help on the big day. I was so grateful to have someone to help me with planning and realized how important it was on the day of. A thunder storm came in and the band’s power went out and water was all over the dance floor but I never knew a thing about it. She breezed by me and mentioned they were troubleshooting a few things, staying characteristically calm and cool. I wanted to find a wedding planner I got along with, who saw my vision and who worked hard to help me achieve that and Sarah checked all those boxes. Once the wedding ended, I was sad to say goodbye! If you’re looking for sweet, charismatic, organized and efficient wedding planners that you’d also want to hang it with, Sarah and Caitlin are your girls!

d thought of every single detail leading up to the wedding. Caitlin was so helpful in picking vendors, deciding on small details, and thinking of things I would have never thought to do myself. The day-of Caitlin was an absolute godsend. She kept my mom and me calm and made the day absolutely perfect. My husband and I did not have to think about anything other than enjoying our wedding. Caitlin did SO much behind the scenes and we cannot imagine our wedding day without her and her amazing work. Her assistant Kira was also awesome as well! We would highly recommend working with True Event as they truly made our wedding the wedding of our dreams (and more!). sue, whether a decor issue or even a family issue, it was so great to be able to text or call Sarah or Caitlin and get their support. I can't imagine my wedding experience or my wedding day without having them as part of my team. They helped to make the day EXACTLY as I had pictured and they made me feel comfortable and relaxed knowing it was in their hands. I wish we could do it all over again!! After my first meeting with Sarah, I knew that I found the perfect person to shepard me through the wedding planning process. She is kind and patient and was able to decipher my feeble attempts at communicating "design inspiration." She introduced me to her talented colleagues and vendor friends thereby ensuring that I would have the best collaboration of talent for my special day. Suffice it say, she delivered. Sarah is as lovely as she is talented and when I arrived at Saltwater Farm Vineyard following the nuptial mass, she had executed my vision to perfection. Simply put, Sarah and her team exceeded my wildest expectations. Importantly, she delivered an event that was truly unique in ambiance. From the selection of custom linens to scouring the country for copper votives, Sarah created a truly one of a kind wedding experience. She understood that the careful selection of design elements would necessarily set the scene for the fusion of two families from different cultures and she respected that every detail - the food, the wine, the ambiance - would serve critically in achieving this goal. She did all of this while being sensitive to and respectful of my budget. She gave freely of her time during the planning process and, particularly, in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Her kind and calm nature is very reassuring in the stressful days and moments leading up to the wedding. I highly recommend Sarah and her team. She created a gorgeous memory for me and my family that we will surely cherish for many yeares to come.

Sarah helped us to identify, among all the specific details of vibe and visuals I gave her, what was important to us and how to achieve it. We live in NYC and I am in law school, and we were planning a 3-day wedding in Vermont with nearly half of the guests coming from outside of the US. We didn't want anyone to have to drive once in Vermont. Logistics, in short, were somewhat difficult. The TrueEvent team was able to help us manage all these decisions and details, and took various decisions out of my hands when I was too busy or overwhelmed to be involved. I was so happy to have someone like Sarah whom I could trust to make these calls for me. Relatedly, I was so happy to have both Sarah and Caitlin on site for the entirety of the wedding weekend. I was able to leave all the execution of our plans to them and enjoy the experience with all the people I love.

wedding was at a private residence in Rhode Island and it required building the ceremony and reception from scratch. Everything from the tent, ceremony, linens, flowers, etc surpassed my expectations. I explained the vision and style I wanted to Sarah and Caitlin and they were able to create an enchanting evening. All of the vendors True event suggested were fantastic especially Hanafloral and Leila Brewster. The guests were commenting on the quality of the flowers, food and drinks for months! Her work exceeded my expectations and I would recommend True event to anyone looking for a wedding planner in the New England/ NY area!
