Jake was amazing to work with! We originally had a 2020 wedding date and had to move it because of the pandemic. Thankfully, Jake was available for our new 2021 date. He was very helpful and communicated with us every step of the way. A week prior to our wedding Jake reached out and discussed the timeline of our wedding day with us. He was very organized and was great to work with on the day of. All of our photos ended up being so amazing!!Jake is a truly a great photographer and I highly recommend him!

Can't say enough about Two Birds Photography, especially Jake. We had initially had our wedding planned for June 2020, but had to move it to 2021. Jake was great during that waiting time. When it came to our wedding day, he was nothing but amazing! I am incredibly camera shy and he made the experience such a calm and relaxing experience. Jake always checked in to make sure I was okay before he took any pictures. He was great with all the guests and my husband absolutely loved working with him. When we got the pictures back, I was absolutely floored with what came back. Jake was able to capture exactly what I was looking for when it comes to wedding pictures. He has such an eye! His photos captured the feelings of that moment and that was exactly what we wanted in wedding photos. We highly recommend Two Birds Photography for a wedding or any event for that matter. We plan to continue to work with Two Birds for other photo occasions in the future.

Jake from Two Birds Photography was the best wedding photographer we could have asked for. He was always present and in charge, helping us to coordinate family photos, bridal party photos, etc. He clearly loves what he does and always looked excited and ready to go. He was always looking around for interesting photo spots, gave us advice and direction when we needed it, took our ideas and ran with them, and generally just did an awesome job. Our photos came back looking absolutely gorgeous! We honestly can't stop looking through them!

Jake was very helpful through all the changes that happened with our pandemic wedding. He captured every single thing that we had hoped for and more. The turn around time from our wedding to getting our photos was so fast that we were almost able to relive the day immediately!

Due to Covid, we ended up having two wedding celebrations, one with just our ceremony and another for our reception. Jake photographed both for us and we could not have been happier with our experience with him or how our photos turned out. Two Birds Photography was fantastic to work with. Jake, our photographer, was so professional and as he made all the shots very relaxing and collaborated well with what kind of pictures we wanted. He also took the time to take pictures of me with my cat Hiro (which was a bonus). Jake even went above and beyond to help me with my dress when needed and even held onto a can of hair spray for the groom (which was just extremely kind and thoughtful). Overall, a great photographer and the pictures came out amazing.

Jake from Two Birds was an absolute joy to work with. He was easy to work with from our initial consultation, quick and responsive in all correspondence leading up to the wedding, and loves dogs! What more could you ask for?! Oh yeah, his BEAUTIFUL work! It was a rainy day and while I was worried that would effect the lack of photos I got, he had TONS, all edited to look like a beautiful bright and airy day. I can’t say enough nice things about Jake Moreland of Two Birds Photography! I first saw his work two years before our wedding browsing through what type of style of photography we liked and their photos were stunning. I especially loved their work with animals as I’m a vet and I knew our dog was going to be our flower girl, but honestly all the photos were beautiful. Jake was so wonderful to work with; always prompt with his correspondence, SO patient and kind, and made an effort to really get to know us to make our footage feel like ours. Our engagement shoot last year was so fun and made my husband and I feel so at ease having our pictures taken. During the wedding day, his calm demeanor set the tone for a nice relaxed afternoon of getting ready, perfecting our first look, keeping all of our huge 20-person bridal party and families in line, it was impressive! We just had our wedding on 9/1/19, and we received all of our photos about a month after the wedding (way faster than I had dreamed of) and they’re so spectacular and gorgeous!! Since it was the best day of our lives we really wanted to have these photos to look back on for years to come and I just can’t stop smiling looking at all of them! Our friends and family are also so impressed by the beauty! Jake’s second photographer Nick was also wonderful—so kind, professional and talented. If you are wondering if you really need a professional photographer the answer is you do, and you should hire Jake and Two Birds Photography. We were engaged for over two years and the whole wedding day goes by so much faster than you realize, and then all of a sudden your hard work and planning is over. Jake takes that best day ever and allows you to relive it for the rest of your lives in such a magical way. Hope I’ve convinced you because you won’t regret hiring Two Birds! Jake was absolutely our favorite vendor to work with for our July wedding. He is INCREDIBLY kind and patient, and every email was answered right away. During both the engagement and wedding photo shoots, he found the perfect spots/lighting, helped us with posing, and made us feel so comfortable. He truly is an artist - the photos all turned out AMAZING, they are all so gorgeous and he and the second shooter (who was also very sweet and awesome) captured so many beautiful moments and details! I can't say enough good things, I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Jake is amazing and exactly who you want to have capturing your special day! He was with us for 12 hours on the day of our wedding, and we were blown away by his energy and professionalism the entire time. Jake photographed by mom's wedding in 2013 and so I knew I wanted him to photograph my wedding last weekend. Jake is very easy to work with. He listened to the types of shots we wanted and where we wanted to take photos and helped orchestrate the whole day. Without a wedding planner, Jake was super helpful in keeping photos moving ahead of the ceremony to make sure we were on time. We cannot wait to see our final photos!

My husband and I really were looking for someone who would capture the natural light of the day and have not super posed pictures. Jake nailed every single request that we had and more. Every question was answered, every detail was covered, and our preview pictures are stunning! He was a trooper with my crazy request to go to 3 different photo locations, but he’s brilliant. My husband and I were debating whether to go with Two Birds or a less expensive photographer, and we are SO HAPPY we decided to hire Jake and Jennifer for both our engagement and wedding photos. They are worth every penny. From the first time we met Jake, every interaction has been wonderful and so personal. Jake is a true artist—he stakes out places for great photos beforehand and has so many ideas. As I was viewing the photos he took at our wedding, I was surprised at how many close-up, personal shots he got. I didn't even realize he was there most of the time during the wedding! He captured sweet moments of my parents, too, which are so valuable to me. Thank you, Two Birds!

Jake and Jennifer are incredibly talented wedding photographers. Not only were they professional and kind throughout the process, they also made us feel very comfortable in front of a camera even though we had just met them the day of the wedding. The resulting photos are more that I could have expected. They are beautiful, yes, but they also capture the feeling of the day. They are truly special people. I enjoyed spending my wedding day with them, and my family will treasure the photos they took forever.

If you work with Two Birds, the most challenging thing involved will be narrowing down your favorite photos to have printed after all is said and done. Trust me. You will want every single one. Jake is a breath of fresh air to work with. He photographed our wedding at Heritage Prairie Farm on 8/20/16 and we are absolutely in love with the photos. His eye for detail and and warm personality exceeded our every expectation. Two Birds handled the wedding photos for both my sister and brother over the years and after seeing his work, it was a no-brainer that we hire Jake for our special day as well. We strongly encourage anyone looking for a photographer to reach out to Two Birds!

Cannot rave enough! We worked with Jake for our engagement shoot and our wedding. He was everything you want in a photographer- professional, nice, accommodating, and TALENTED! He was a fly on the wall, not at all distracting, during the ceremony, while still managing to perfectly frame a shot for every meaningful moment. When the schedule was continually changing (hair & makeup ran long, weren't sure if it was going to rain, left flowers at the hotel, lunch ran long), Jake went with the flow. He was resourceful in his use of time and space to make sure we got all the shots we wanted despite the scheduling issues, even staying late at the reception to ensure he completed the shot list. And, of course, the photos are GORGEOUS! Our friends and family cannot stop talking about how great the photos are and asking "WHERE did you FIND your photographer?!? He's amazing!"

I'm writing this review about our photographers before we even have our wedding pictures back. The first thing that we LOVED about Two Birds was obviously their work. It speaks for itself. We wanted photographers who captured more candid moments vs. the "Hey everyone, stop and look over here and say Cheese!" photographers. Two Birds was perfect. The second thing that we loved? The fact that (if you book 2 photographers) it's this incredible Husband + Wife Duo team!!! They are the CUTEST things ever and work SO well together. I don't know if that has anything to do with why they are so amazing, but keep up the good work if it does! I first had a conversation with Jake over the phone and he answered all of my questions (and there were a lot of them). He wasn't annoyed with how many times I asked him about certain things, he really listened to what I was saying. My husband and I then met with him in person just so we could go over everything more in detail. And he would email me multiple times just to make sure he had all the information he needed. He was amazing! We DID book two photographers, so we DID get the amazing Husband + Wife Duo team (and if you're going back and forth on whether or not you should get 2 photographers-DO it. It's worth the extra money). Flowers wilt and die, pictures last a lifetime. I follow Two Birds on Instagram and Facebook and they put out little teasers of our wedding pictures-and judging just by the few pictures I've seen...I'm DYING inside to see the rest. They are just amazing and really make you feel comfortable when they're shooting you. I thought it would be awkward having someone taking pictures of me all day, but you honestly don't even realize they're there. We could NOT BE HAPPIER with choosing them as our photographers-and we will probably use them again for something in the future! :-)

I couldn't agree with the other reviewers more - Jake was fantastic and we are so happy we hired Two Birds Photography! Jake was so professional, fun, and pleasant to work with and we absolutely loved how he caught the little moments. We also received our photos before we even got back from our honeymoon which was fantastic! All in all, awesome experience and awesome photographers. Would highly recommend.

Two Birds Photography far exceeded our expectations for our wedding. We worked with Jake, as we only hired him, and not his wife as well. Jake was friendly, had great attention to detail, and captured great moments. I highly recommend them without a doubt. My only suggestion is to ask for certain poses you want, and don't be afraid to direct him. I wish I would have mentioned more poses that I wanted but was just not paying attention. Also, you only get the pictures that he selects and sends, not all of the pictures he takes. I was a little disappointed with that, but everyone ranted and raved about how great he did. I recommend checking out his website to see more of their brilliant work, at an affordable price! Loved them!

We hired Jake and Jen to photograph our wedding in May 2015. As other reviewers have written, these two are pretty much as good as it gets! From the first time we contacted them, we were impressed by how pleasant and responsive Jake and Jen were. We hired them about 15 months before our wedding. Jake encouraged us to do an engagement shoot in order to get comfortable in front of the camera and get to know us a little better. Although we were hesitant at first, we were really glad we took his advice. We were definitely more comfortable during the wedding having done a professional photo shoot before; plus, we got some beautiful engagement pictures too. On the day of the wedding, Jake and Jen were punctual, relaxed, and unobtrusive. They managed to get beautiful shots without interrupting the natural flow of events at all. When we received our photos a few weeks after the wedding, we were blown away. They truly captured the essence of our event--all of the fun moments and memories were there in the pictures. And when we asked Jake to make a few changes to the coloring in some of the photos, he did it right away, no problem at all. We honestly can't recommend Two Birds highly enough!

Working with Jake was such a pleasure! He is incredibly laid back and was such a calming presence. He was incredibly easy to work with. He took absolutely breathtaking photos of our wedding and got them back to us in under 3 weeks! I can't recommend him enough!

I don't know where to begin. Jake and Jen Moreland are beyond talented photographers, I think that is made quite obvious from their photos on their website, here, and on numerous wedding style blogs. My husband and I knew from the start that the Morelands are who we wanted to share this day with. We worked with Jake for our engagement pictures and decided to have both of them photograph our wedding at Brookfield Zoo. Jen hung out with the girls most of the morning, and Jake with the guys. Like most people, I am not used to getting my picture taken and having cameras pointing in my direction. Having Jake and Jen there, and knowing the work they do, gave me a sense and trust in whatever moments they were capturing were going to be authentic and truly encompass the best moments of our day. Photos are the one thing you get to have forever (besides your spouse) and I am beyond happy with the final results. To be honest, looking over the photos after the event was almost as fun as the event itself. I will never stop telling people about Two Birds Photography (even strangers).

Two birds photography does an amazing job!! I got some great pictures from my wedding and I feel like he captured every moment perfectly. He took us to some great locations for pictures after ceremony as well. He has a great visions and is very creative. They are so nice to work with and we had a lot of fun with Jake. They also got my pictures back very quickly we were viewing them just 3 weeks after our wedding. If you want great pictures to remember your day this is the way to go.

Working with Jake Moreland was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Jake was very professional, kind and talented. He gave great direction and captured our wedding beautifully. The happiest I was in the whole wedding process, besides the wedding itself, was seeing the beautiful and artistic pictures that Jake took! I cannot say enough good things about Two Birds/Jake. Although the packages are a bit pricy compared to other local companies, Jake is the only photographer so you know exactly what you're paying for when you book with Two Birds. And it doesn't hurt that he is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Included in the price are engagement photos (you pick where/when you'd like to take them), 8 hours of coverage the day of the wedding, patience, laughs, and fun. You can tell from the start that Jake's passion is photography and he does his absolute best to make his clients happy. In the end, I feel like Jake has become a friend and I can't wait to recommend him to friends and family! He had our pictures edited and at our door in less than 2 weeks!

Words cannot begin to describe how amazing Jake and Jen Moreland are. About four years ago a friend of mine that I worked with got married. I remember looking at his wedding photos and saying to myself that when I get married I HAVE to use his photographer....so, that's exactly what I did. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and I couldn't be happier with our pictures. I can never thank them enough for putting up with us for the 12 hours that they worked with our crazy friends and family on our New Years Eve wedding! The photos were beautiful and the photographers were very nice and very professional. Loved their work. One thing I didn't realize beforehand was that they weren't going to do much that was beyond the traditional, but it worked out okay. I'm not disappointed!

Jake is an artist. His photos are amazing. Every shot he takes is artistic and caputures the emotions of the moment. He is very easy to work with and cares about you as a client. When I picked Two Birds I knew that I would not yet stale posed generic wedding photos. Everyone in the bridal party even comments on how great photos turned out.

There is nothing I can say that will properly explain how thankful and blessed I feel to have found this husband and wife team. All of their work is flawless and they made extremely insecure me feel beautiful. Jake is a joy to work with, and so easy going. We had very little time between the ceremony and the reception but he never made us feel rushed or guilty about the amount of time he had to work with. AND they had their 2nd baby less than 24 hours before Jake was scheduled to start shooting our wedding. I could not believe he still showed up himself! He said he didn't want us to work with someone we didn't know. Which is about the most amazing thing I've ever heard in my life, and not something I could see coming from any other vendor.

While we haven't gotten our proofs or pictures back, I am happy to give Jake 5 stars for his amazing work at our wedding. He was so easy going the day of our wedding - he really helped me and my husband relax and enjoy the day. From the looks of his work, I'm confident we have nothing to worry about when it comes to receiving our pictures.

I love Two Birds Photography! Jake is a great photographer and is so laid back that he takes all of the anxiety out of engagement and wedding pictures. My husband, who hates pictures, was so excited for that part of our big day. And our bridal party made so many comments about how great Jake and his assistant were. No one complained about the time it took to take pictures because Jake made it a fun experience. That combined with his skill and the talent that they have for making amazing albums, makes this duo a great choice for wedding photographers!
