Words cannot describe how appreciative I am of Nicole and the team at Two Brothers. As an out of town bride I was a bit worried with coordinating and communicating with vendors. Two Brothers made it all so easy - their packages included food, open bar, a coordinator, cake, and tables / chairs / linens. Nicole was incredibly communicative - I was always able to get a hold of her when I had a question or needed to pass along an update. She was always a joy to talk with!
The food was incredible. We went with the BBQ buffet package and everything was fantastic, we had several guests the night of and in the days immediately after the wedding share that it was the best wedding meal they've ever had. The bakery they partner with, Sweet Reserve, legitimately made the best cake I've ever tasted in my entire life. We chose to do cupcakes for the guests (in 4 flavors) and a small cake for my husband and I to cut. It wasn't a problem at all, and Sweet Reserve happily provided display pieces for the cupcakes at no extra cost.
We had our ceremony and reception here. The space outside for the ceremony was beautiful - the gazebo and the scenery were so lovely. We also had the banquet hall, which gave us and our guests access to a private outdoor area with a fireplace. People absolutely loved that they had somewhere to go and talk or relax if they wanted a break from the music. And it was such a lovely backdrop for pictures!
If you're looking for a beautiful venue that clearly has tons of experience hosting weddings (and makes it easy peasy on the bride / groom), makes delicious food, and is overall an experience you and your guests will never forget, Two Brothers is a must.
Pro tip if you have a group that likes to party: consider ending your reception by 10:30 -11p and the restaurant and bar are still open. It's a built-in after party ;) There was a live band there the night we got married and it was so easy to keep the party going and spend more time with our guests.
P.S. we're waiting for pics from the photographer so those attached were taken on guests' phones.
Two brothers was the BEST! The planning process was so easy, and we loved that everything was included in the price per person. After looking at many different venues, this was by far the best deal and such a cool place. Lori was great to work with and then the day of coordinators, Maddy and Elizabeth (I think that was her name! Sorry if I got that wrong) were awesome too! We got so many compliments on how cool the room was. We got the Mexican Buffet for our meal option, and I’ve had so many people tell me that was the best food they’ve had at a wedding ever! Our guests enjoy going to the bar before cocktail hour, and we met several of them at the bar after the reception too. You can’t go wrong with the roundhouse for your wedding.
BY FAR THE BEST WEDDING VENUE EVER!
Oh my gosh, if you love to have fun, want everything done in one place while making unforgettable memories, this is your place.
We got married here and have been over the moon. The wedding team there are some serious professionals and know how to make an event run smoothly while giving you the space to have the time of your life. You can have the ceremony and reception there. Catering and the cake are included in the package. Everything was so reasonable and if you like beer, the beer is AMAZING! Nicole and Lori are simply the best and will accommodate you in any way possible. They were able to find a bottle of a liquor for us to use for the wedding specialty drink. We had a flower man and a ring “beer-er” during our ceremony and they helped make sure we could pull that off without a fuss. They feel like old friends helping you plan a fun party. I was not stressed at all working with them. Cheers!
Any questions?
We had our wedding here on 7/23/22 and omg it was absolutely fantastic. Nicole (the coordinator) is top notch! There was not a single thing that went wrong everything went smoothly. 10/10 would recommend. Everything was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was incredible. Thank you for making our day so much more special!
We had our wedding yesterday at the Roundhouse, and literally every guest raved about how beautiful it was, how good the food was, and the unique look. Nicole was so accommodating and helpful (even seamlessly helping us with a COVID induced date change), and we had zero to worry about except getting married. The Roundhouse includes everything - cake, food, liquor - and I had very little to do with finding any outside vendors, a big plus for me! If you are looking for an easily planned and beautiful wedding, you will not be disappointed with the Roundhouse.
Our wedding was amazing and the catering team at Two Brothers Roundhouse was a huge part of making that happen! The wait staff was professional, the coordinators are very easy to work with, very knowledgeable, very responsive and gave great suggestions. The venue is beautiful and had great backdrops for all pictures inside and out. They’re very flexible with decorating which was a nice surprise. All of our guests enjoyed and food and open bar. I encourage anyone who is getting married to consider this venue, you will not be disappointed!
Two Brothers is a uniquely beautiful wedding venue, and Nicole is a pleasure to work with! The dinner was amazing - can’t say enough good things about it! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Two Brothers Roundhouse provided exceptional service as a wedding venue. None of the things we asked for could have happened without Nicole being the woman to make it happen. She was responsive to my many questions leading up to the Big Day, and her communication was on point to make sure I knew what to expect at all times. The services in the wedding package made planning a breeze, and the banquet meals left all our guests satisfied and asking for to-go boxes. The gazebo made for a perfect backdrop to the ceremony, and the reception room was just what we could’ve hoped for our intimate reception. I couldn’t have been happier with our decision to get married at Two Brothers Roundhouse.
I would recommend Two Brothers for any event EVER. The team was so helpful and thoughtful throughout the entire pandemic - honest and highly communicative. The day itself was a roaring success. I was so impressed with the food, the drinks, the service, the attention to detail. The entire place was cleaned and packed before I even realized the night was over! We made the best decision ever by choosing this venue for our wedding and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Another huge bonus was the amount of things included in the wedding package. I didn't have to worry about finding a wedding cake vendor or bringing my own linens. They did it all.
We had our wedding reception at Two Brothers Roundhouse. They were so wonderful to work with and made our day so very special, not to mention the food and drink was amazing!! We had to reschedule our reception because of COVID and Nicole at Two Brothers was so wonderful to work with and help make the day a reality.
We had such a fantastic time at Two Brothers over Labor Day Weekend for my brother's wedding! My (now) sister-in-law and brother were supposed to have 200 guests but due to COVID-19 we went down to 19. We worked with Nicole for the planning process and she was amazing! Very friendly and professional. She worked with us for whatever we needed and made the planning process smooth and easy.
Day of, everything was set up to a T and they were so flexible about the rain back up. We ended up having beautiful weather and an absolutely perfect wedding. Their ceremony was under the gazebo and was gorgeous! The reception was in the room attached to the smaller outdoor covered pergola patio. We utilized both spaces and it was a blast. Drinks were great and the food was amazing! Would recommend this to anyone for a small or large wedding!
I am so glad we chose the Roundhouse for our wedding reception. You can tell they are very experienced and know exactly what needs to happen and when. We worked with a few different coordinators beforehand but had Tara on our wedding day. She was amazing at all the behind the scenes things. Once the night began we didn't have to worry about a thing. A nice touch was during the cocktail hour she made us a plate of appetizers and put it at our seats. We were so busy talking to people we didn't get to try them all. I also HIGHLY recommend the Italian buffet as your dinner option. It comes is a pasta station where you choose a noodle, sauce, toppings, and then someone cooks it all together for it. It was like everyone had a customized meal. The buffet went pretty fast too so no one was waiting long for their dinner.
I recently was the wedding planner for a reception at Two Brothers Roundhouse. In addition to being a lovely venue, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day and truly made it a smooth experience for me an, more importantly, for my clients. Highly recommend!
We would recommend Two Brother's Roundhouse to anyone! A great atmosphere, great food, amazing people, and very organized. They make the planning so easy.
HO-LEE COW! I don't have enough great things to say about this place and the staff. If you are looking for a historical and beautiful venue, with amazing staff and delicious food, this is the place for you!
We had both our ceremony and reception at Two Brothers. The courtyard is absolutely stunning and the venue is gorgeous inside.
Jonna and Nicole have been so helpful throughout the whole process; start to finish. Nicole was our coordinator and her and my planner worked so well together. The whole day went so smoothly and right on time. All my vendors had an easy time with setup and take down. Two Brothers also allows you to leave your stuff there, packed up, and you can come get it the following morning. We were able to enjoy our night after the wedding ended instead of hauling stuff around.
They were very transparent about the cost and fees included. We ended up paying what we estimated. They also accept credit card as payment (many venues do not) and this was easiest for us.
We had the Italian buffet for dinner. With around 230 guests, everyone was seated and eating within 10 minutes. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was and the pasta bar was a HUGE hit. Not to mention, guests are allowed to go up and get food as many times as they'd like. We also did the late night snack of pizzas and those were gone in a second. We also choose to do a sweets table and many guests said that was delicious as well. An added bonus: my husband was able to taste and pick which beers were on tap for the wedding. I thought that was awesome!! There are two bars within the banquet hall so no one ever had to wait for a drink.
There is a Metra train stop steps from the venue and a hotel across the parking lot; very convenient for traveling guests.
Overall, I can't think of any ways our day could have been better. Two Brothers Roundhouse was the best decision we made for our wedding. I HIGHLY recommend them!! Not to mention, you are supporting a local brewery!
Everything about our wedding there was awesome! Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day and we were supposed to get married outside. Nicole, our coordinator for the day of, handled it with ease and promptness as she moved everyone and helped move everything inside on time. Things ran smoothly and everyone loved the food! I would highly recommend the landmark buffet.
The only thing I wish could have been different is the consistency of the wedding coordinators. Once Nicole took over, she was great, but we had been working with 1-2 other people earlier on for the planning. I think it would have made me feel less anxious if we could have worked with one consistent coordinator the whole time.
Overall, amazing amazing amazing. I wouldn’t change anything about the venue!
We had our wedding here on 9/28/2019 and we cannot say enough good things. The day was magical. Everything ran smooth and the food/beer selection was unbelievable. WE LOVED THIS VENUE. Our guests had such a wonderful time. It was convenient that the ceremony and reception were at the same place. NICOLE COOK was a dream to work with and takes all the stress out of the day. She is attentive, friendly, smart and really made our day seamless and special. Two Brothers was affordable and more than accommodating. 10/10 would recommend a wedding here.
We chose this venue because no other venue could offer as many craft beers on tap, customized food options and accommodate 300 guests. Nicole was our event coordinator and she could not have been more helpful. Her response time to any questions was immediate. We chose a Mexican Buffet. Not exactly traditional but the food was amazing and our guests loved it. We had the main banquet hall and it had two separate bars so no guests ever had to wait for a drink. We used the gazebo for the ceremony and it was beautiful but we did use a company to decorate it (Gatherings by Design). Lots of of unique and interesting locations to take photos including a train station. When the reception began, many guests stayed inside to dance but others stepped out into a lovely private outdoor area. It was Saturday night so there was a live band out there. Really, things could not have been better!
The price was very reasonable, the room was beautiful, the food was delicious, and our day-of coordinator was friendly, helpful, and responsive.
Had an amazing experience. Everything was set up beautifully and the staff were amazing to work with. The gazebo was amazing to have the ceremony at. It was a wonderful night. I am so glad I had my wedding here.
Absolutely fantastic! Honestly they helped us every step of the way from Lori first showing us their venue a year before the wedding to checking in on us throughout the evening the day of. They all work so well together there, we showed up on a day they weren’t expecting because we got our schedules crossed and our event coordinator wasn’t there. Jonna quickly jumped in to help us get everything organized so it would be ready to go the day of and without hesitation. Nicole was nothing short of amazing on our wedding day making sure we had what we needed all night and even after the event. Food was amazing and we continue to get rave reviews about it. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
If you’re considering Two Brother’s Roundhouse for your wedding, stop what you’re doing and book them immediately! TBR was our dream venue. We had our first date at TBR, so it was only fitting that we married at TBR. Our decision was made easier for this fact. That being said, Two Brother’s really is an outstanding wedding venue. With their all-inclusive plans that include not only a place for the ceremony and reception but food and bar services, a cake, the MOST INCREDIBLE coordinator, and more - you cannot go wrong. They made every step of the process easy for us. We didn’t need to juggle 10 different vendors and make sure everyone was on the same page. Two Brother’s Roundhouse had everything coordinated and set up for us. I’m sure you’ve heard horror stories about venues - but you won’t have to worry about anything with TBR. Not only did they make the planning of the wedding easy and helped to make the wedding perfect - it’s such a beautiful location. Our pictures turned out stunning thanks to the architecture, and everything about the venue is gorgeous. AND THE FOOD. Oh my goodness! Everything melts in your mouth. They worked with us to make sure we could accommodate all of the different food allergies of our guests, and we still have people a month later talking about just how delicious our buffet was. It truly was the perfect venue.
Nicole - thank you SO MUCH for everything you did for us. I am positive that our wedding would not have been so perfect if it hadn’t been for you coordinating everything behind the scenes. You are patient and kind and fun and absolutely wonderful, and we loved working with you. We will be forever grateful for everything you did for us! (GO FOO FIGHTERS!)
We had our ceremony and reception at Two Brothers. Nicole was so accommodating, and kept everything flowing so well. The food was awesome and the beer was amazing. I can’t thank them enough for helping me host such an amazing event. The building is also beautiful, with a ton of spots to take amazing pictures!
Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was so friendly and they really made my day that much more special. And honestly you can not beat the price!
If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Two Brothers hands down. They were by far the least stressful vendor we worked with for our wedding – from start to finish – which was great because the venue is probably the most important vendor. It’s clear they have been doing this for a long time and have everything down to a science. I’m a super organized person, and rarely find anyone that comes close to me, but I think Nicole may have beat me. I felt completely confident in Two Brothers handling our reception without a hitch, and they didn’t fail! I never even spoke with Nicole until the night was over, which is a great sign because that meant there were zero issues the entire day. We had so many guests comment on how this was the best reception they had been to, the food was spectacular (the buffet was awesome, it included lots of options for everyone including vegetarians and gluten free), drinks kept flowing, and the ballroom was beautiful. Our reception was everything we could have asked for and Nicole and the staff at Two Brothers made our day perfect!!
Two Brothers was absolutely amazing! We help our wedding reception here, and we loved every second of it! Lori answered our endless questions right from the beginning. The planning process with them was incredibly easy. We loved picking out our buffet choices and the beers on tap for the night of our wedding. The food was delicious! Tara was our amazing day of coordinator, and we can not thank her enough for all of the work she and her team put in to make our reception so beautiful and fun! We would highly recommend Two Brothers Roundhouse to anyone thinking about hosting their wedding/reception with them. Thank you for making our reception one we will never forget!
I was blown away by the work, effort, and care that was put into my wedding reception on 1/12! Nicole worked with us from start to finish making sure every detail was accounted for. I planned my wedding from Arizona and she was speedy and efficient and answered my ridiculous random emails quickly and helped arrange meetings via phone, around my schedule, and whenever I was able to be in town! My vendors had no problems setting up or contacting her. The only hiccup we had was that there were NO winter seasonal beers for us to choose from (they are so good they ran out!) but Nicole helped us out with some special exceptions. All of our guests RAVED about the venue, beer, and food. We couldn't have been happier with how our day turned out. I would do it all again in a heartbeat! Thank you Two Bros!
Wedding Shower Review:
We held our wedding shower for about 150 guest at the Two Brothers Roundhouse which was for a Sunday lunch. We worked with Jonna who was very responsive and detailed in her email in working with us during the planning process. The team is very easy to work with in regards to planning. We elected the a buffet style lunch. When we arrived at the venue, everything was in place where things were to be and there were no issues at all. The food was very good (our guest loved the options we selected), staff was very kind and service was on point. A lot of our guest made the trip all the way from Chicago and they all said the drive was worth it. The event went very smooth without any hitches.
The team was great and they even pulled up an extra table when some extra (unplanned) guest arrived and they had it set up within a couple of minutes with no problem. This venue definitely has the space and capability to handle events smaller/intimate type of events to larger events and based upon our opinion – the pricing is very good/fair)
I would 100% recommend the Two Brothers Roundhouse for any type of banquet type of event and if we could do it all over again we would work with them. Thank you Jonna and to your team for all the great service and help!
We considered Two Brothers Roundhouse for our wedding venue, and now that our wedding planning is wrapping up, I can't say how thankful we are that we avoided working with this venue. We inquired about the possibility of an all-vegan menu, but were told that this was impossible. We asked about whether or not we could have certain items made vegan and do a partially vegan menu, but the banquet sales associate would shoot down any idea we proposed without offering alternatives or showing the slightest interest in our business. We quickly realized that we were trying our hardest to make this venue work for us when they were not trying at all. They were rigid, inflexible, and rude. A good chef and a well-functioning venue should be able to accommodate a range of dietary needs. An inability to do so shows a blatant disrespect to people's choices, cultures, religions, and health needs. We are grateful that we did not continue our stalemate of back-and-forth emails with the banquet sales personnel here, as I strongly believe that the Roundhouse's inflexibility on this would've extended to other pieces of the planning process. If you're plant-based or have a plant-based partner, save yourself the time and look elsewhere. This place doesn't want and doesn't deserve your business. There are myriad other venues out there that will bend over backwards to take your diet or lifestyle into consideration. Out of the 15 venues we researched and contacted about offering some vegan options, this was the ONLY venue that would not work with us. The other 14 were a delight to correspond with and were extremely helpful in explaining our options and what the chef would be willing to do for us. If you're dropping tens of thousands of dollars on your wedding then you absolutely deserve that.
The planning process was so easy and enjoyable and our wedding was exactly as we hoped it to be! Nicole, Lori and Jonna were all wonderful to work with and so helpful. The reception room was beautiful and the food was amazing. We couldn't have been happier with Two Brothers and all of our guests told us the same thing. Highly recommend!
Nicole was amazing! It rained on our wedding day and the back up plan was put into place without a hitch! Great food and beer and beautiful venue for some amazing pictures!
I've been going here for a very long time so we decided to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here. We had it in the lounge which offered plenty of space for mingling, tables, and a wide spread of food, which was very delicious! Not only was the room great, the whole atmosphere of the restaurant is what made the night. Will definitely recommend for future events/parties!
This is the best venue for a laid-back yet elegant event. We loved the Italian buffet for our rehearsal dinner and the barbecue buffet for the wedding. We got to choose 5 beers to have on tap for the wedding and everyone loved all of the choices! The food and drinks are delicious, everyone who works there is amazing, and our coordinator for the day of the wedding was perfect! We ended up having to be inside due to weather but I liked that even more than the outdoor gazebo. Everything was so simple for us - we just dropped off all of the centerpieces and candy table supplies ahead of time. They set everything up for us and they did it better than I would have! I would recommend this place to everyone!!
We had a great experience with Two Brothers Roundhouse. We had our reception at the roundhouse on Labor Day weekend 2018. We received so many compliments on the buffet dinner and the premium bar package. The quality of the food and drink was such a great value for the price. We also loved that we were able to coordinate the wedding cake through the venue-all we had to do was do the cake tasting at the bakery and they handled the rest! My only criticism would be that on days when they have two weddings they should communicate better with both parties, especially when changes in itinerary for one wedding might impact the other. We ran into an issue where the other wedding occurring the day of our wedding changed the time of their wedding rehearsal at the gazebo to the day of the wedding-which also happened to be when we had planned to do pictures on the gazebo. We learned this through our photographer who was in communication with the other party's photographer-we never learned of anything from Two Brothers. We ended up having to cut our lunch short to get the pictures we wanted, but it all worked out. I'm just disappointed that the other wedding party was allowed to make changes to their day of itinerary after their final meeting, that we weren't notified of any changes that might impact our timeline, and that we heard nothing from Two Brothers about it. I would also caution summer weddings-the ballroom space can get VERY warm/humid once the party gets going. We were told the A/C was cranked, but it got very stuffy in the room once people started dancing. Otherwise, the food was great, the room was beautiful and we were very happy with how the reception turned out.
Got married here two weeks ago and it was the best decision ever. First of all, there are so many cool and interesting places to take pictures around the property and they let you roam around as you wish. Second, the staff is amazing and always quick to answer any questions and concerns you might have. The food is AMAZING and it's such a unique venue, we got so many compliments. They were quick to take things down at the end of the night so I did not have to worry about it at all. Overall, if you are thinking about looking here, DO IT. But do it quick because they book up quickly!
First off, let me say the team here of wedding staff coordinators and day of staff was Amazing!! If I wasn’t rating the venue all together this would be a 5 Star review no questions. The food was amazing as well!
Unfortunately for me, my wedding party and guests, we were unable to fully enjoy ourselves and the wonderful services provides by attentive staff because the venue was so muggy and hot. Maybe the Brothers should splurge some of their multi millions on some proper AC...
What can I say... I love Two Brothers Roundhouse! Choosing them for our reception venue was a no brainer. From the beginning, the whole team was very responsive and helped us with everything! The wedding coordinator on the day of (Nicole) was extremely helpful, patient, and had an amazing attitude. We forgot some decor at the venue and she was kind enough to keep it in the office for us until we made our way back out to Aurora. The only minor complaint is that it was so warm in our reception room (our 6/16/18 wedding was unseasonably warm), so just keep in mind that it's a BEAUTIFUL but OLD building (it is on the National Register of Historic Places). Honestly, after a few drinks I forgot how warm it was and danced the night away. So if you're looking for a beautiful, rustic building for your reception, look no further! Food was great, beer was exceptional, and the staff was friendly and professional.
We booked with Two Brothers Roundhouse for our rehearsal dinner. Nicole and Lori were great with the planning process, especially with my father in-law being out of the state. Let me just say that THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Everyone was raving about it! We chose the Sabor Mexicano buffet menu complete with a fajita station. The servers were wonderful and it was definitely reasonable for the value of service we received!
My husband and I are so happy we chose to have our reception at Two Brothers Roundhouse. We felt like we were working with friends, in creating our reception. They made sure we had everything we needed. The prices were excellent, the food was delicious and the staff were awesome to work with.
We LOVED working with the Roundhouse! Nicole, our wedding coordinator, was amazing. She was so helpful throughout the entire process, right through the end of the reception. Our guests all had so much fun at the venue, with the live music and awesome bar packages and food. We also love that the venue has cute outdoor spaces! Our pictures turned out amazing!! The only nit picky complaints we had are that the upstairs space gets VERY warm, even with the AC cranked all the way up, and that the waiter for the head table was not great...he forgot to fill half of the glasses on the table for the champagne toast, kept forgetting our drink orders, and when my gluten free bridesmaid asked if there was a GF dessert option, he brought her a completely melted puddle of sorbet. This was quickly remedied by a piece of GF chocolate cake once she said something but we were still disappointed by the service. Generally, I would still recommend the venue!
Two Brothers Roundhouse Banquets did an amazing job helping my husband and me throughout the entire wedding process! We used the gazebo for our ceremony and the largest banquet hall for the reception. We couldn't have been more pleased with both. The Two Brothers wedding package has a lot included, and for a reasonable price. Our wedding was on a Friday, so we received an additional $5 per person. Another added bonus, we got to choose five Two Brothers beers to have on tap during the reception.
My wife and I could not have been happier to have had our wedding at Two Brothers Roundhouse this past weekend! Nicole was our main contact at the venue and she was a GEM! Not only was she very responsive, but anything we needed, drama that came up, last minute changes, etc., she had covered. We opted not to hire a day-of coordinator only because we knew we were in great hands with her. But really, the entire staff was great! The food was excellent and our guests really enjoyed the venue. You will not regret booking your wedding here!!
What else is there to say expect it was AMAZING! Everyone that we worked with at two brothers were very accommodating and flexible. Our wedding was projected to have rain and we were all set up for the back up plan but we didn't need it. Tara and Lori are real pros and it shows in the expert coordination they provided through the whole process of planning and executing the wedding day. The food was amazing and we've received raves about it!
I had my wedding at Two Brothers. First of all, my photographer LOVED the venue and all the different areas. The food was great! We had a lot of compliments on the appetizers especially. Pricing was amazing. For 200 people we were able to remove some items and substitute them in other ways that make it so each guest pricing included apps, salad, dinner, cake, bar, chair decor and many other things. Everyone at 2 bro's was AMAZING to work with and so helpful and knew how to handle each question. People thought it was so unique that we had our ceremony at a brewery (we do brewery tours all the time) but the history of the building and the fact that it was one Walter Payton's round house made it even better (Go Bears). The lighting was gorgeous and the venue was beautiful and I still to this day have some people tell me my wedding was one of the best they ever went to. Plenty of room to dance, hotel in the PARKING LOT so that saved on extra transportation costs, good drinks, good beer, good food.
Two Brothers was such a great venue- they dealt with all of our emails and questions over the course of a year, and kept good track of our requests and payments and last minute changes. On the day of they were amazing- everything was taken care of without us even needing to think about it.
It's rare that a venue has both beautiful decor AND great food and beer, but this place does it. Professional, accommodating, and patient, the team there can't be beat!
BEWARE!
My wedding reception was at Two Brothers Roundhouse. While there were many positives about the reception at this venue, there were 2 BIG negatives that prevent me from recommending this venue. I made the staff of the Roundhouse aware of these problems both at the reception, and after the event in a detailed letter to management outlining what had happened, and why these problems had created such a negative experience for the wedding reception. While I paid over $20,000 to the venue, I did not ask for any compensation, only that management respond to my letter and take steps to correct the problems in the future. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE FROM THE STAFF OR MANAGEMENT OF TWO BROTHERS ROUNDHOUSE – not even a form letter reply.
For the sake of brevity, I will describe only one of the problems. There was a very chaotic start to my reception because the venue double-booked and allowed the other wedding to start an hour later than was promised, which caused it to conflict with the start of my reception. With several hundred guests from 2 different weddings converging into the same small entry area at the same time, there was NO STAFF from the venue to assist guests to their correct reception. Guests from both weddings were confused and asking for help, my placecard table was overturned, and my guests could not get into my reception area because it was blocked by people who couldn’t navigate the staircase up to the other reception. Both wedding parties had been promised a coordinator who would stay with them for the entire reception – but that guarantee was a lie. Neither wedding coordinator could be found for the 20 minutes of madness at the start of the two receptions – a very bad start to the event.
I warn future brides considering this venue … DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU WILL BE TOLD BEFORE THE WEDDING. Customer service ends once Two Brothers has your money. They do not respond to concerns as they are occurring, nor to taking steps to ensure that problems are not repeated. While the problems that occurred should never have been allowed to happen, even more telling is management’s lack of responding to my letter. This demonstrates a complete lack of respect for the customer and an indifference to the customer’s satisfaction.
Two Brothers Roundhouse was an incredible site for our wedding reception. The banquet staff was always available to answer questions and show us the venue before our big day. We worked with a few different people in preparation for our wedding and everyone was so helpful. Two Brothers is a great "one stop shop" with plenty of seating, food, drink, and set up/tear down support! I had one point of contact for all of my questions which made the wedding planning A LOT easier for us. The staff helped us set up decorations and had all of the decorations we brought packed up for us the next morning. They work with The Cakery... another amazing company to work with! I'd recommend Two Brothers to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable venue!
Our wedding at Two Brothers Roundhouse was completely perfect. We worked with Brittany on the contract and then Tara for the day-of coordination, and both were responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful. I've been told by several guests that our wedding was the best they've ever been to - they loved the food (we did the Mexican food buffet, which was a big hit), Two Brothers beers, and the vibe of the Roundhouse. As a non-traditional bride, it was important to me to find a place that could coordinate everything, and Two Brothers did exactly that - the wedding, the cake, the food, the flow of the event, the setup, etc. We could not be happier about getting married and celebrating at Two Brothers Roundhouse.
Our wedding was 5 months ago, so this is a bit overdue, but we still needed to write a review to say how happy we STILL are for the service we received for our wedding. Nicole handled most of it, but the whole staff there was incredibly friendly and helpful. They by far offer the most value and least hassle in a wedding market full of lots of competition. The venue is historical and unique and when lit up at night is honestly a really cool space for those who are a fan of the rustic chic look. The stone walls and wooden beams create an environment that has character, with the courtyard providing an excellent backdrop for the space. We decided to go with the buffet option and everyone was really satisfied with the food and the ability to eat whatever and how much they want. You can't complain about the selection of alcohol there either, seeing as how you are offered 5 different selections of craft beer. The staff again, helped make the whole experience smooth and fun, especially at times when the stress of wedding planning can become overwhelming. They were always there to help and assist and seemed to genuinely care. After getting back from our honeymoon, we went back to get all of our decorations and just hung out for 30 minutes to stay and talk with Nicole, and it was bittersweet knowing that we had to go our separate ways after a year of planning. But we'll be back for our anniversary, so hopefully our paths will cross again.
So for any future patrons, we strongly recommend Two Brothers Roundhouse. Their food and drink are great, there is a hotel right across the parking lot, a casino for any late night shenanigans, a wonderful staff, a great atmosphere and everything that we could possibly ask for. So Nicole and Laurie and everyone else, from Steve and Megan we offer our deepest gratitude. Thank you!!
If you want beautiful and easy, then work with Two Brother's Roundhouse. We were blown away with how genuinely nice everyone was. Nicole makes everything go so smoothly and has years of experience that she knows how to answer your questions with confidence and with ease. My most favorite thing they do is handling such a large group of things things that you don't have to worry about, i.e. cake delivery, alcohol package, tear down of the space, majority of setting up, food (which all of our guests kept saying was amazing!), day of coordination, helping with sick family members, and their venue is beautiful! Our guests took many pictures on the terrace in front of the fire place. I could go on and on. We loved working with Two Brothers Roundhouse and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for helping make our special day go smoothly and worry free!!
Having our wedding at the Roundhouse was the best decision we could have made... we could not have asked for more. Everyone on site was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us free reign over our space in the days leading up for planning and set up, and made us feel welcome the whole time. They were very organized and really took charge of making sure we were never left wondering what should be happening at any given point. They were incredibly flexible with the food planning (which was outstanding, best wedding food I've ever had), they helped us tweak the costs and customize the night to fit within our budget. Tara is an amazing wedding coordinator; she made our day so much easier, calmed all the panicky family members, got us a beers when she knew we needed to chill out. I wish she could be my life coach.
On top of all this, the site was **Perfect** too. There's a great hotel and Metra station directly next door, which was very convenient for our guests. The roundhouse is home to a great pub / restaurant (several, really), a coffee shop, and there are lots of little nooks and crannies everywhere where you can just hunker down and have a moment (and a beer). Most of the site is blanketed in public wifi, too, which helped a lot with on-site planning. The courtyard was beautiful (mid summer, hops and wisteria everywhere), and the building is an old, timber frame + stone structure, reminiscent of a medieval ring fort. The pictures really do not do this place justice. All of our guests kept saying that the venue was "amazing," "perfect," "beautiful" etc... We did all our photography on site before guests arrived, and there are lots of places to get some really great, unique shots here.
To add to all of this, the Round House was one of the cheapest options we could find. The value here is really incredible. Please do yourself a favor and book your wedding here; this place is a gem.
When we decided that we were going to be getting married in late December I was worried about finding a venue that would capture an elegant Winter/Christmas mood, AND be reasonably priced. Two Bros Roundhouse was a spectacular winter wonderland, that gave us a bang for our buck! The ballroom was so elegant and classy, without us doing any extra work!
Along with the beautiful rustic style the food and beer were INCREDIBLE . All of our guest have been raving about how the food at our weeding has been some of the best wedding food they have had.
Along with the other reviews I have to say the banquet team is amazing! They were so helpful, and kind. We had some guest last minute RSVP after we had already given our final count and they graciously helped us accommodate them. They even kicked out the wedding crashers that showed up!
Our amazing wedding day was truly made special by our experience at Two Brothers Roundhouse.
We had a great experience from the beginning. From our first tour of the rustic venue, to our final meeting before our reception, they were very open and upfront with our options and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. They were very quick to respond to any email or phone call and were willing to do most things over phone or email because we were from out of town. Our reception went off without a hitch, as our event manager made sure things happened on time and made sure we were well taken care of.
I just had my ceremony and reception here Friday October 14th, and this place was EXCELLENT!!! The staff was so helpful during the planning process to answer questions, the wedding coordinator assigned to us for the day of our wedding Nicole was a perfectionist! She handled all the set up of our decorations, and truly made it a picture perfect vision of what we wanted. She made sure everything went smooth, and it did. We were in the Stout and Lager room, and it was GORGEOUS!! I had so many compliments on the venue, and not to mention the food. I still have people raving about how delicious the food was. We did the Taste of Italy buffet, and the food was to die for! Most of the compliments came from the pasta station..... delicious! If you are going for a rustic setting, Two Brothers is PERFECT! I would not have changed a thing, this venue made our wedding perfect and made me a happy bride.
From start to finish Two Brothers was fantastic! The venue was beautiful. The food was delicious. And staff was phenomenal and attentive to my wants. I could not have asked for a better venue!
Fantastic service. I'm pretty sure we worked with every lady in that banquet office. All of them were extremely helpful. Prices were totally reasonable for everything that was offered. The atmosphere was exactly want we were looking for. Even with two large families the room did not feel like a banquet room. It was intimate, rustic, and had so much character. The ladies were helpful with letting us set up the day before and Tara made sure everything ran smoothly that day. Would definitely recommend this venue to everyone!
The Roundhouse banquet team is awesome! They were so calm throughout process before, during and after wedding. I couldn't be happier with our choice of a venue. Nicole and Lori were rockstars! We got a lot of compliments on venue! If you want a fun relaxed wedding with good food.. Roundhouse it is!
We had our wedding reception here in the Stout & Lager room and can not say enough amazing things about this place. Everyone is so easy to work with and communicate via email quickly. The food is amazing, decor is unlike anywhere else and their attention to detail made the big day stress free. We worked with Stephany during the planning and Nicole for the actual wedding and they made everything so easy and made sure every little detail was taken care of. We HIGHLY recommend Two Brother's Roundhouse for any event and thank you for making our special day one we will never forget :)
The venue turned out better than I could have ever imagined! The staff, Nicole especially, was the best! I wanted a romantic elegant theme for our NYE wedding so they were extremely accommodating on letting us decorate with my vision in mind. They were also extremely helpful in finishing what we could not, and the day of the room, and ceremony room were spectacular! I did not have to worry at all as Nicole had it all planned out for us, from the line up for the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and the flow of the reception. She was so helpful during the planning process as we had no idea what we were doing, after all we've never done this before :) We received many compliments on how delicious the food was and that this was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings are family and friends have attended! I would highly recommend this venue if you want a historic and unique look with great food, beer, and staff!
We had been to a wedding a few years ago and we're so impressed that when it came time to pick our venue, there was only one place we went. Two Brothers Roundhouse is the perfect venue for anyone looking for something other than the traditional banquet hall. What you get for your money is amazing. Delicious food, beautiful space, various top shelf liquor, and of course great craft beer! Going with Two Brothers was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!
First, this is such a unique, cool place to have a wedding. They ease your stress during the planning meetings because they are so detailed and you can tell they know exactly what they are doing. You get so much for your money here. The staff was wonderful during the reception. The food was very good, everyone loved it. I was extremely happy with my wedding reception here and I would recommend this venue to anyone.
From start to finish we loved everything about Two Brothers! The staff are amazing and I could not be more pleased with how the planning and the day of celebrations went. We wanted a smaller wedding with a cozy feel. We had ours on Fri night with under 100 guests. Everyone loved the place and we got many compliments!
Two Brothers was a really great venue. It was always fun to go to appointments, rehearse, and even for our guests to drink beer during our wedding, because of the bar up front.
We got great compliments on the food, layout, and architecture. We had both our ceremony and reception here. During the ceremony, restaurant guests aren't allowed to sit outside, so your wedding isn't interrupted by others having lunch or dinner. The staff was helpful and always quick with a response to questions, they're very knowledgeable about everything, even questions I thought were going to be odd, like, how tall are the pillars in the ballroom? She knew that.
They had a lot of food menu options, and we liked the requisite cake vendor - the Cakery, as well. The primary selling point for my fiancé was that they only serve craft beer at your wedding (besides wines and liquors). He was adamant about having properly tapped craft beer at our wedding, not craft bottles, as other venues offered to bring in.
We had our reception in the ballroom on the first floor. We loved the fireplace behind the head table (though we didn't light it), the terrace was a beautiful outdoor area for the reception with its own fireplace which we did have lit, we got so many compliments on the food, and even though it's technically in the same building as a restaurant, we felt like we were in our own world back there. The bride room was also very nice.
The only two cautions I'd give about this place - 1. the air conditioning isn't super great. If you're having a summer wedding, start your reception a little later, the sun makes the west-facing ballroom quite warm. 2. The experience we had was that we worked with one consultant all the way until two weeks before our wedding, then got another for the day-of coordination. This was good and bad. Good, because we actually liked our day-of coordinator a little better (she just had a more bubbly personality), but bad because I hired a day-of coordinator of my own not knowing what to expect on that day, and if I'd met the TB coordinator sooner I might not have gotten a second one.
Overall though, I would highly recommend this place. Everybody had a great time, the price was a little lower than many other venues, but the food and service were above expectation, and they were really great to us.
My husband and I had our reception in the Stout and Lager room at Two Brothers. If you are looking for a great place that has a lot of character and an awesome selection of craft beers, this is the place for you. I loved that the space was so unique. I felt like we didn't really have to do too much to make it look gorgeous. If you're going for a "rustic" theme, definitely check this place out.
I was also super impressed with how easy they made everything. There was A LOT included with the reception so for me, it made my job easy. Just pick the colors, etc, and we're good. The food was also delicious! I was so very pleased.
I was also very impressed by our banquet manager, Tara. When I went in for our last appointment to drop all of the decorations off, I thought she would for sure say, nope, that's too much, you need to get someone else to set that up. Instead it was the complete opposite! She made detailed notes and on the day of everything was in place and everything was absolutely gorgeous!
This place knocked my socks off! I would plan a reception with them again in a heartbeat!
Two Brothers staff and venue was amazing. My wife and I live in New York, so we had to organize and plan the wedding long distance. Stephany worked with us constantly and emailed us answers whenever we had questions. For the day of Nicole was wonderful. She allowed us into the venue early to decorate and worked with all the venders to make sure everything was on time and organized. The food was so good and our friends and family were very impressed. The space was BEAUTIFUL! We had our ceremony in the gazebo which looked perfect. Our reception was just inside and it looked very classy and was large enough for everyone to sit comfortably and dance. Overall this was a wonderful venue with great staff, great food, a beautiful space and awesome beer. I would strongly recommend it for anyone.
Let me first start out by saying that Tara (our day of coordinator) was fantastic! If we had her throughout the whole process, this rating would be 5 stars but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
At the start, we were coordinating with 2 different ladies (none of which were Tara). Both were nice up front but a different person on the phone/email...rude, short, acting like I was in the way, like it was an inconvenience, and annoying them. One call was to see if we could have 2 signature drinks at the reception and Lori (the banquet manager) made me feel like I was such an inconvenience to her. I also emailed to see where the popular photo shots were on premise and no response.
On the day of the wedding, I was decorating with a few friends and we informed them that we would be there a few minutes after they opened (at 9am). Of course, they leave the reception room locked. I went to ask for entry into the room and waited. Lori (the same manager)didn't open the room until an hour later. Instead, we saw her getting coffee and breakfast at the nearby Coffee Bar. Unbelievable! I waited and followed her around. I asked politely if we could have the room unlocked seeing as how we have hair appointments at 11am. This only gave us 45 minutes to decorate the reception room instead of the 2 hours we planned. It didn't ruin the reception but did put us behind schedule. Our hair stylists had to come up with an easier(faster) style as well. As you know, you do a hair trial and plan things. I tried not to be a bridezilla on the day of...but our wedding photos will not be as great without the original decorations and the hair styles being half-assed.
On the night of the wedding, Tara asked why we didn't go with our original decor and I informed her but there wasn't much that she could do. She was terrific with coordinating everything. She went above and beyond what I thought she was asked to do.Even took down the gazebo decorations for us!
We absolutely loved Two Brothers Roundhouse!! Everything from the food to the staff were wonderful! We worked with Stephany & Tara throughout our process and they were nothing but helpful. Any question or comment I had, they both were able to answer me. Tara was our day of coordinator and she has the planning down to a science. She asked us questions about things that we didn't even think about for the day of. They also encourage you to drop off your things for the reception early, so I was completely relaxed day of the wedding!
The food and beer were amazing! We also loved the cake that was include in our package. Everything was delicious!
The hotel shares a parking lot with the Roundhouse, which is awesome! It's a little pricey, but totally worth the stumble across.
I cannot say enough good things about Two Brother Roundhouse and Nicole Cook. She was absolutely a delight to work with. We contacted Two Brother 18 months before our wedding and they did an incredible job of working with our needs and customizing out selections to meet our budget. They were prompt to respond to emails and did everything they could to make our event run smoothly. I worked with Stephany to organize the menu and financials and she was very accommodating to our needs. I was nervous leading up to the weeks before the wedding because I had not met our day-of-coordinator but after meeting Nicole Cook at our 10-day appointment, I felt so relieved putting all the million details in her hands. She was helpful, professional, and truly made our special day come together. I received so many compliments about the ceremony, reception, location, food, etc. I would highly recommend Two Brother for any couple that wants a unique, yet classic and professional wedding.
We are very happy with how our reception at Two Brothers Roundhouse turned out! Everyone raved about the food and venue. We went with the Signature buffet (2 salads, 4 meats, 2 or 3 starches, rolls & butter, and a veggie). Their standard bar package is great too. We were in the Stout/Porter room downstairs, so we got 5 taps plus a full selection of booze. The room itself looks great, especially when the lights are dimmed for an evening reception. My only gripe initially was that the chairs are kind of ugly (sounds ridiculous, I know), but we upgraded to the premium package for I think $5/person and got chair covers, an extra hour of open bar, late night snacks, and a couple other things.
Our wedding was in February, so we didn't use any of the outside area, but they did have lights out on the patio and a fireplace going outside for a nice view. All we added to the room decor-wise was some tulle and white lights around the 4 columns around the dance floor & the same on the handrails coming in, plus florist centerpieces.
It was also great that after the reception ended we were able to go to the Two Brothers bar just down the hall. They had a live blues band, which was great! And you wouldn't have even known it was in the same building if you were at the reception (no sound issues or anything).
All of the people at the banquet office were easy to get ahold of and answered all of our questions promptly, which was great. They covered a lot of minute details that would have otherwise been overlooked.
We were very satisfied and highly recommend them!!
Loved having our winter wedding reception at the Two Brothers Roundhouse in the main ballroom. The staff was friendly & VERY accommodating! Our guests loved the food and space!
Best bang for your buck and staff will go beyond expectations to make your day special.
I had an amazing experience working with the staff at Two Brother Roundhouse. The ladies in the office were amazing to work with, answering questions and working with us to stay within our budget. The reason we went with them was because they had an appetizers option! Even now, a month after the wedding, I am continuing to receive compliments from my guests about how great the food was.
Absolutely loved the venue and so did everyone else.
The Roundhouse is now owned and operated by Two Brother's Brewing. We had our wedding there on June 1, 2013 and we were thrilled with the way everything went. The venue is outstanding and offers something much more than a ballroom since it offers a cool vintage feel. Our guests are still raving about the food and the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything went exactly as we had hoped.
The staff was super helpful and the food was amazing. The location is so unique to look at.
My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect day for our wedding. Everything was smooth, organized, beautiful and fun! From the very first meeting with the banquet crew at the Roundhouse, we were hooked. They have excellent food, great beer, and amazing customer service. Nicole, our night of manager, had everything under control and ready. It all went smoothly, no hiccups. And the price for the reception was extremely reasonable for everything that was included! I have been recommending the Roundhouse to every newly engaged couple I've met because they were fabulous. This is an ideal place to get married.
