uly amazing at her job. Ultimate Bride was the second bridal salon I visited, so I already had a bit of an idea of what I was looking for. I told Amberlee how I had always envisioned my wedding dress would look since I was a little girl, and she somehow found one that matched exactly what I had always dreamed of.
She actually found two perfect options and helped me decide between them, which was not easy! I also came back later to try on the floor sample again to make sure my shoes worked with the dress, and Amberlee was there for that too. She was just as kind and attentive as ever, and the team was so accommodating every step of the way.
For my fittings, I worked with Maya, who was also wonderful. I had three fittings total, and she made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. She helped me choose a bustle, made a video of how to bustle the dress so others could easily do it on the wedding day, and ensured the dress fit perfectly.
From start to finish, the entire experience at Ultimate Bride was exceptional. The staff is professional, caring, and genuinely invested in making each bride feel special. I can’t thank Amberlee and Maya enough for helping me find my dream dress!

nowledgeable, and made me feel so special throughout the entire process. The selection of dresses was absolutely stunning, offering a diverse range of styles, fabrics, and designers to choose from.
Special shoutout to Kathia, my stylist, who went above and beyond in helping me find my dream dress. She was never pushy or judgmental and made me feel very comfortable expressing how I felt about each dress I tried, which was crucial in finding the right dress for me.
In addition, Maya, the alteration specialist, also deserves praise for her impeccable tailoring service. She was patient and understood what I wanted to achieve. She ensured that my dress fit like a glove, with precise attention to every detail, making the entire experience stress-free.
Plus, their timeliness was impressive; my dress was ready well ahead of schedule, giving me one less thing to worry about before the big day.
Lastly, the store environment was elegant and calming.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in finding my dream wedding dress. Highly recommend!

s the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted. Thanks to Amanda, my lovely stylist, I got to wear my dream dress that I never would have picked out on my own! Thank you to these amazing ladies for all of their help from the moment I made the appointment to all of my alterations. It’s also a nice little sentiment that my mom got her wedding dress from Ultimate Bride as well in 1990!
I have been pondering over this review for 2 months now. I wanted to have an amazing experience with Ultimate bride... The girls working there are so nice and my dress was beautifu...
l. I truly thought it was the perfect dress for me, I wanted to cry it was so beautiful every time I tried the dress on for an appointment...But at my wedding, I cried because of how much of a disaster my dress turned out to be.
The bustle broke within 5 minutes of entering my reception, the straps kept popping off, I had to keep pulling up the dress, the band they put inside to keep the dress tighter snapped and can be seen through the sheer material of the dress in my photos, and I kept tripping over the hem. The dress was just a very ill fit on my wedding day, which was so disappointing after spending so much time going there for alterations.
I spent WAY too much time going back and forth to the store for alterations and WAY too much money on this dress for anything wrong to happen so early on in the evening. I had NO intention of wearing a second outfit and ended up having to put on my rehearsal dinner outfit-THANKFULLY I had something there to put on. I understand things happen, but I expected the dress to at least make it a bit longer at my reception. If I knew it would only last my ceremony and my entrance into the reception, I would have never spent this kind of money on the dress. My ceremony was right across the hall from my reception, so there was no traveling to another location or a big gap of time in between.
2 months after my wedding and I am still just bummed. It was such a gorgeous dress and we had invested so much into it. Now, it is sitting in the back of my closet, and I don't even want to look at it after the mental anguish it caused me on my most important day.
I did call Ultimate Bride and was issued a $250 refund, which was not enough but at least we got something back. I was told that all bustles break and that these things happen-they SHOULDN'T happen when you spend this kind of money on a dress, and if they are known to happen, I should have been given a warning before I left the store with my dress and the alterations staff needs to come up with a new way to reinforce the bustle, because whatever they are doing is clearly not working if they all break.
My advice to brides who decide to purchase a dress here-get your alterations done elsewhere and/or expect to need a second dress or an outfit change. No matter how many alteration appointments you go to, it still may not fit properly on your wedding day. We spent so much time and money-this dress should have been reinforced better and should have been a much better fit after the whole process.
They do have gorgeous dresses and the staff is very nice. I had a good experience picking out my dress and at my appointments for the most part, and even contacting them to give feed back after the fact but the end result of my dress was just not good... The whole point of a gorgeous wedding dress is to feel great on your wedding day and not have to worry about things like this. I probably would still have purchased my dress at Ultimate Bride, but I would have gone elsewhere for alterations.

tember 2021. Brandy was an absolute dream to work with. She completely understood my vision and brought me a range of styles that both read my mind and introduced me to something unique. She really helped me find the most perfect Ines Di Santo magical gown that delivered on the chic, one of a kind vision I had in mind!! She made me feel confident and assured. She also gave me the best advice to not show my dress to anyone and let it be a surprise on the wedding day! Once I landed on my dream dress, Ultimate Bride was highly communicative with next steps. I do not live in Chicago, so they were very accommodating with helping me to schedule my fittings. I worked with Gianna for my fitting experience and she was INCREDIBLE. Gianna was highly knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable throughout the experience. She made sure the dress fit me light a glove and that I was confident and comfortable in it. Both Brandy and Gianna and the entire Ultimate Bride team helped me choose a dress that made me feel like the absolute best version of myself for my big day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

long train off the back. After my alterations the dress fit perfectly while still being comfortable enough to move around and dance in. At each fitting they also assured me that if I came in the next time and the dress was too tight or I didn’t like the changes they could undo them. I also had no idea what type of bustle would look best but they had great recommendations and made it very easy to bustle the dress for the reception. They always made sure I was happy and comfortable with their changes, overall a great experience!

y bridal look my own by making a semi-custom cape with lace that matched the lace of my dress. It was so fun to see the look come together and they were so attentive to every detail ensuring that everything was perfect at the end. It was very easy to contact them via text. I would highly recommend them to any bride!

s. She greeted us and I told her exactly what I was looking for (volume, beading, embellishments, a-line/ ballgown, etc.). This was my 5th dress appointment so I had a good idea of what I wanted. I work in fashion so I like to think that I can describe things pretty well. We didn't get to pull any dresses she was going to bring them out, which is fine and I guess part of the "luxury" experience. The first dress she brought out gave me a heart attack. It was absolutely plain, a straight silhouette, no embellishments whatsoever. Pretty much the exact opposite of what I described. She went back to grab more dresses and those were better and more what I was looking for. But, they were around $5.5k-$6k and looked almost identical to dresses I tried on that were $3k or less at other salons. I said my budget was up to $7k which made me extremely limited in my options there, which I didn't think would be the case. The only dress I liked was above the budget, but again I didn't think it looked like the price tag. You are for sure paying for the designer name with their dresses. Overall our consultant seemed a little snobby and I didn't feel worthy of being there. The vibe just wasn't super welcoming and I felt a little uncomfortable. Compared to other higher end bridal salons I've been in the space was very small and I almost got run over or I cut off by someone constantly when getting in and out of the changing rooms. Overall, if you have $10k+ to spend this is a good place to go. But, otherwise I wouldn't recommend.
I had the most amazing experience at Ultimate Bride and cannot recommend them enough! I ended up at Ultimate Bride because my first wedding dress (purchased from another Chicago br...
idal shop) was ruined during alterations. With only 2 months before my wedding, my mom called Ultimate Bride on a whim (and in a panic) to see if they could help me find a new dress, and Constantine (the owner) assured her it would not be a problem.
When I arrived to Ultimate Bride, Amanda and Lori were SO kind, patient, accommodating, and helpful. Amanda pulled several dresses for me to try that fit the exact style I was looking for (they have an amazing selection), and Lori called the designers to make sure that those specific dresses could be rush ordered since I was in a time crunch. The very last dress Amanda pulled out for me to try ended up being a new, off the rack sample that had never been worn before, and oddly enough was my exact size! They allowed me to purchase that exact dress the day I tried it on and I was able to leave feeling SO relieved and happy. I ended up loving this dress more than my first! I also loved that alterations were in house. Their alterations team is so talented and did an amazing job on my dress – I could not have been happier with how it turned out.
LASTLY, a glass of red wine was spilled on my dress at my wedding reception and completely stained the skirt – Diane spent nearly an hour on the phone with my mom guiding her through exactly who to reach out to and how to handle the cleaning process. We so appreciated her time and guidance!
Every single person we interacted with at Ultimate Bride went above and beyond to make a stressful situation such a positive and fun experience. I am recommending them to all of my newly engaged friends without hesitation!
Overall, the experience was very positive! Friendly people, an easy shopping experience and overall great alterations. My only regret is that my bustle lasted for about 15 minutes ...
before falling apart. I spent way too much time caring about my train than I should have during my wedding. Even a bridesmaid had to do some make-shift stitching, so I could dance without tripping. I wish they would have been more real about the bustle and we could have discussed my options.

s. Found it immediately and Amanda was phenomenal at helping me accessorize to absolute perfection. She listened to my mother and me, tailored her suggestions to me personally, allowed me to come in for a second appointment the very next day to try everything on again before I formally decided to buy it, walked me through how to get the lowest price possible on the dress (trunk show discount deadline, sales tax waived since I had it shipped to GA, where I live), and stayed in touch well past me leaving the store. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable - everything I could have ever wanted in a bridal consultant, leading me to everything I could have ever wanted in my dream wedding dress! Thank you so very much, Amanda.
After going to many places I ended up purchasing my dress here. Loved the dress and the way it turned out. They were organized and knew what they were doing. Only thing I didn't li...
ke was that the first time you get your alteration they send you to a new person without the person who you bought it from explaining to the seamstress what you want done... which was a little stressful. However, seamstress was incredible, well experienced and did a great job!
Unprofessional and terrible experience. They lie about alterations cost even when you tell them you have a budget. They do not care about you as a bride they care only about money....
They literally lied and told me a dress alteration would be easy so I took it to the preferred seamstress who said it was not even possible to alter the gown the way Ultimate Bride was saying. Ultimate Bride lied to me to make a sale and now I have lost money, have no gown and am very disappointed because my wedding is very close. They are absolutely terrible. When I tried to speak to the owner he brought some gal with 5 inch heels in the room who kept trying to tell me I had no idea what I was talking about and she kept laughing at me under her breathe. Complete harassment. BRIDES STAY AWAY.
Ultimate Bride has an incredible selection of high end wedding dresses. I found my dream gown (Ines di Santo - Daisy) after only one visit with Lori. We paired a gorgeous cathedra...
l veil with the dress. Leading up to the wedding I had several alteration appointments to ensure the dress fit me perfectly. The week of the wedding I picked up my dress. We discovered there was a miscommunication and an alteration was made that I did not request. Ultimate Bride fit me into the schedule the very next day and the head seamstress quickly reversed the change. What could have been a distressing situation was resolved smoothly and promptly. I highly recommend Ultimate Bride to any bride both for stunning gowns and great customer service!!

I went to Ultimate Bride, they made me feel so comfortable and confident. Their alterations department is superb and made adjustments to my dress to really make it feel unique and like mine! Highly highly recommend! You will feel like a princess when you go here. It's a great experience!

ry specific style. I did have a budget, but mentioned if I absolutely loved something, I would spend more. I worked with Amanda. It's interesting how little of a selection the store has? I wanted form fitted and a good amount of beading. I told her I really liked crepe, but wasn't limiting my choices to only that material. Not one of the dresses brought for me to try on had close to a generous amount of beading on them. I'm not totally sure Amanda really understood what I was looking for, because she kept bringing me a few dresses at a time that were not anything close to what I had asked for.
No one in the store was overly friendly and the whole appointment was kind of awkward. I liked Berta and was interested in a gown they were expected to get in their Spring 18 line. Amanda said she would get back to me asap about pricing and information on that gown since I didn't really find anything I loved at the store. It's been over 1 month and no email, no call. I don't think the associates care or are even remotely interested in any of the brides that walk in. They don't listen to them, they don't give input on what might look best. They just make the whole experience super awkward as if they don't really want you trying on the gowns unless you know you are going to purchase it. It was all kind of a big joke. If you want a real salon with amazing designers, amazing associates.. go to Mira Couture down the street! I found both of my gowns there!

ave a beautiful selection of high-end wedding gowns. I chose a Mira Zwillinger dress and could not be happier! The woman who did our alterations was so sweet and did an incredible job altering the dress. I also had my veil custom-made at Ultimate Bride and it was exactly what I wanted. Would highly recommend any bride purchasing their dress there.
I almost didn't come to Ultimate Bride - it was my last appointment (7 of 7!), and I was already happy with a handful of dresses at other salons. I'm SO glad my mom encouraged me t...
o keep this appointment, as it was my best of the 7, and Nancy was - by far - my favorite stylist. By the time I went to Ultimate, I had a very good idea of the style wedding dress I wanted. Nancy pulled dresses for me that were similar to others I'd tried on and liked, but she also pulled dresses with details I was pretty vehemently against... but to my surprise, she totally nailed it! (I wanted an A-line dress with straps; I ended up in a strapless column gown - ha!) Everything Nancy put me in was figure-flattering, and her pinning expertise made me feel like I was wearing tailored gowns. (I'm 5'3" and busty, so this is not easy to do with sample sizes!!) I was amazed by how well she read and understood my body. I was having such good luck with everything I tried on that I went a full hour over my allotted time - and a full hour past the salon's closing hours - and no one in the salon made me feel pressured or rushed. In fact, once I picked my dress, Nancy took even more time to help me find the perfect veil. I really couldn't be more pleased with this experience and would recommend this salon to every bride in Chicago looking for a gown. Other pros: The salon is clean and spacious; there are dresses on display to look through; and they give you a strapless bustier bra to try on under dresses. Can't wait for my dress to arrive so we can begin the fitting process!

I am a fashion major, so the pressure was on for my dress. I told Wendy that I wanted something backless and was really in love with lace. I also mentioned I hate ball gowns. Wendy...
definitely abided by my backless theme but went off the beaten path with the material. While every dress was beautiful, I wanted a classic chic dress that I will love forever and ever. After my amazing experience at Ultimate Bride, I had another appt with a different salon. Wendy wrote down the dresses I really loved and the prices. After we went to the other place, which didn't even compare to Ultimate Bride, we had to decipher over drinks. I immediately called Ultimate Bride and asked if they could get out 4 dresses for me to try on one last time before the closed for the weekend. They were kind enough to bring out the dresses and have my friends come and see the gowns. I chose an Austin Scarlett dress with bow detail in the back. Wendy knew I wanted something interesting on the back and once she put a belt on, it was a slam dunk. Then the alterations team was amazing. I kept losing weight and they kept bringing it in and I wanted the bow to be fuller so they put netting in the bow. They were amazing. Not only that, but they shipped the dress to Iowa so we didn't need to pay tax. My experience from beginning to end was amazing at Ultimate Bride. Thank you so much for finding the perfect dress for me and having it fit perfectly!
I went to ultimate bride to pick out bridesmaid dresses. At first impression the store was beautiful and the staff seemed very friendly and knowledgeable, however, after trying on ...
a couple of dresses the lovely girl who was helping us left to attend a different group so we had to handle the final details with another employee. We just needed to pick out the color of the dress we wanted and the employee handed me a large book with color samples to choose from. Some of those color samples were missing and I nicely explained that to the employee because one of the missing color samples seemed to be in the range of color I was looking for. She told me that no the color sample was not missing so I had to point out over and over that yes it was missing and I really wanted to see that color. I was very nice and calm about the whole thing (I have worked in retail for a very long time and I would never be rude to a retail employee) she became very rude and told us she wanted someone else to help us. Finally a different employee came over to help and told her that in fact the color sample was missing. The employee started being overly nice to make up the fact she was wrong and still didn't help me find the missing color sample so I was just SOL. The staff was all over the place and I would have to call numerous times to make sure things I specified that I wanted were still being done. They would call me about things I told them many times previously what I wanted. I was never mean or rude to them I just wanted to get my girls dresses (Which were astronomical in price) and get them on time. I ended up having to talk straight to the manager since no one could seem to keep any of their information straight. This is the first time I have ever given a business a bad review but I feel with the amount of stress and money going into a wedding this shop and their beautiful dresses are not worth the time or hassle.
They are the best! The stylist know so much and really listen to what YOU want. Plus, they do an amazing job tailoring your dress to YOU!

fessional. Rachel took me back into a spacious fitting room and my mom sat outside next to the pedestal. I tried on ALL sorts of dresses, ones I had mentioned and ones I wouldn't have ever picked out, but this was great because it helped everyone narrow down what was working for my shape and what I wanted. Rachel was completely professional, she let my mom and I give her feedback, even if it was bad and you could tell that she was really focusing in on what we were saying, almost as if she was going through a mental dress catalog! She worked fast and made me very comfortable. She totally hit the nail on the head with my dress! I actually noticed it hanging in my room and I knew the second she put it on me it was the one! It was every single thing I asked for. The woman who took my measurements was also very friendly. Best of all, there was ZERO pressure. I told Rachel I wouldn't be buying that day, I'm not someone who can make spontaneous decisions and she was totally cool with it. We made an appointment to come back and do all the paperwork. It was a fantastic experience!

some last minute glitches, and Ultimate Bride, especially Rachel, and Maria (seamstress) did EVERYTHING to make sure they had a happy bride walking down the aisle - TRULY went above and beyond. Definitely go here for your dress! Wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

ately, she quit mid-way through my process, and other people I worked with were not always as friendly. (One was horrified that I wanted to wear flats. Not on her watch!) Alterations were convenient, but again, stand your ground. I ended up paying for an expensive bustle that I did not want (or end up using), even though my dress had no train. Ultimately, however, I absolutely loved my dress, and it did fit beautifully! Definitely worth it!

alteration process as well. I was initially supposed to have 3 fittings but ended up having 4 (the last one just two days before my wedding!) and the dress turned out amazingly. The quality of the alterations was great and made the dress fit perfectly. They also were very accommodating with regards to my sister's hissyfit about her bridesmaid dress alterations (that wasn't bought / altered at Ultimate Bride) and two days before my wedding were able to fix the botched alterations that were done to it.
One tip - they capped my alterations which definitely saved a lot of money in the end!

es. She gave me many dresses that fit my description to try on, but also brought dresses that she thought would be flattering or in line with what I already had liked. For me, the most important thing that I wanted in a dress was to find one that was as flattering as possible. As a petite woman, the consultant brought dresses that are flattering to shorter woman, and even mentioned how certain designers catered to this (Monique Lhuillier for example who also is a petite woman). I had my three sisters, my maid of honor, and mother with me, and the store made sure everyone had a place to sit and was comfortable.

st minute appointment in order to ensure everything was ready for the big day. They didn't have to do that, and I didn't even ask; they just offered. The consultants I worked with were helpful, honest, patient, and not pushy. They made the experience so fun and exciting. I didn't feel pressured, and I felt like they listened to me the entire time. I ended up with the perfect dress that fit me. I cannot say enough about the alterations department. Maria and Nami are the best. Seriously. My dress fit like a glove. It honestly looked like it was made just for me when they were finished. They did such a beautiful job. Ultimate Bride is definitely a wonderful place to go to find your dress.
