Based out of Marshall, VA, Unearthed Photographical produces naturalistic and contemporary images from their clients’ weddings. Owner and lead photographer AnaGabriele Ashby uses her artistic skills to capture the love and reflect it through personalized images. Alongside her husband, Ana sets out to capture all the unforgettable moments of your wedding.
Ana was first introduced to photography in her youth and has been visually documenting meaningful moments ever since. Her strong interest in art drives her to capture beautiful and authentic images. Using a journalistic and natural approach to photography, she tells a story that communicates her couple’s personalities. Ana feels privileged to call her passion her career and to be able to use her skills to bring joy to others on the happiest days of their lives.
Unearthed Photographical offers a selection of photography styles to their clients. Each package is designed to suit a range of styles and budget requirements. Ana and her husband can attend the event with two cameras to ensure that each fleeting second is documented on film. The photographers understand the flow of a wedding day and can orchestrate your photoshoots with ease.

My wedding photographer recommended Ana and it was the best decision made! Sharing my thoughts, ideas, requests, concerns, or questions with Ana was always easy. I never felt "not important" when communicating with her. During the party, Ana was quite sneaky because I barely saw her until she needed us for the family photos. Her instructions were simple, she was able to rally my rambunctious family together for the photos, and then sent us away to party. She was quick and efficient; it never seemed like it took hours for one photo. When we received the pictures a week or so later, I was highly impressed! They came faster than I expected and they were beautiful! As I look at the photos again, I'm amazed at the quality of everything. Working with Unearthed Photographical was great and would recommend her for all the events!
Ana and Justin were incredible. They were kind, patient, and amazing at directing my wife and I on our wedding day. Neither of us had worked with professional photographers before, but they were incredible. The end product was beautiful, Ana got us our photos early, they were awesome, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We highly recommend Unearthed Photographical, you won’t be disappointed.
THE BEST!!!! Ana and Justin are just delightful to work with. They did both my engagement and wedding photos for us. They are so personal and make you feel so comfortable and let you try out anything you want. They capture details of your wedding that you work so hard on like the decorations and capture it so artistically. I will be booking them for any future life-changing events :) :). You can not go wrong with Unearthed Photographical.
Ana was incredible to work with! She was attentive and prompt with all my needs. She has great eye for her art. I am so thankful she was available for our wedding since it was only 2.5 months out from our wedding when I found her. I have a digital picture frame that cycles through our photos all day everyday so i get to enjoy it all the time. We loved having Unearthed Photographical to document our special day!
