Union 3 Events

A wedding planner was one of those things we thought we could get away without but hiring Lisa as our day of coordinator was one of the best moves we made while planning our wedding. She helped us with making sure we had all our bases covered before the day, worked her contacts to get us deals on the things we were missing, and then on the day she was there to make sure everyone was in place on time, the vendors got paid, and whatever little problems popped up along the way were handled before we even heard about them. Because of Lisa we were able to relax and actually have fun at our own wedding and that is a very special gift!

BEYOND Beyond thank you, Alexa and Union3 for giving us the wedding beyond my daughter’s dreams last weekend, which hit all the right notes of originality, modern, rustic, elegant, warm, personal, yet spectacular, without feeling ‘over the top” or “ event-ish’. OMG says this MOB, Alexa and her team know how to translate vision into a reality that really works not just in photos, but on the day itself. From our first ‘interview’ meeting, Alexa’s strong talents for organizing, communicating and most importantly, translating vision to a reality were evident – she even told us some our ideas wouldn’t work, but offered alternates that would. Her ability to be the voice of reason, and her level of professionalism and practicality impressed us so much we hired her on the spot (You should too!). The event was at the Mount Washington Mill Dye House, an urban rustic loft-like setting in Baltimore, amazingly transformed into a gorgeous outdoor garden setting for ceremony, and the rustic interior (raw loft space) into a romantic dreamy warm and intimate (for 130 people) setting for a fabulous wedding feast, then a nonstop dance party following with a 10 piece band. All of this so beautifully executed with flowers (Crimson and Clover floral), décor (Chicka Chicka Boom Boom), lighting (Event Dynamics), and gorgeous spectacular food (Copper Kitchen MD) – all with the most welcoming and joyous, ‘effortless’ sense of style. Nothing felt overdone. Special touches were everywhere, some suggested by Alexa (THANKS ALEXA), but some provided by family members at the last minute for her to incorporate (original songs, artwork, displays). She didn’t break a sweat. All of this was worked into this incredible life event, and all of it had so much meaning for the couple… Then there’s the pacing/timing/planning….Each segment of the event (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dance party, and finally the sparkler send-off) was special and distinct, and each adding a new layer of fun and celebration to this special day (Ok, I’m crying again…) I don’t know if my daughter and new son have come down off their cloud yet, Alexa but I’m still hearing from the guests how wonderful it was…. Thank you so much for giving us more than we knew we could imagine – My face still hurts from smiling!!!! Would hire you and Union3 again in a NEW YORK MINUTE!!! <3, a very happy Mother of the Bride

We hired Union3 shortly after our engagement and after booking our venue for a New Year's Eve wedding. After spending some time speaking to other brides, we understood the value of having rockstar planners and a fantastic photographer. When asked now, I would say give that same advice. Union3 came as a referral and after my very first conversation with Lindsey, we signed! I knew immediately their style and professionalism was exactly what we were looking for. They spent time getting to know us, our tastes and what makes us, us. This was incredibly important to me, as every couple wants their wedding to reflect them and with all of the choices out there, it can be challenging to funnel your taste to create one seamless design. I would sometimes have an idea of what I thought I wanted, and their uncanny ability to listen, synthesize, and create showed through. In every situation, they brought our ideas to the next level, and in a way that was friendly to my budget. As a bride, reliability, responsiveness and follow through are some of the most important traits in partners and vendors. From the very beginning, regardless of what it was about, Lindsey and Lisa were right there with a response, which compliments my make a decision and let's get it done approach. We built trust quickly and they made it incredibly easy to do so. Our relationship evolved past bride/planner and I really leaned on them for perspective and advice, which any bride knows is invaluable. On the day of, I didn't have any idea of the things happening behind the scenes. I was getting ready with my girls, singing and drinking champagne. The things that you can't predict that inevitably happen were kept from me until they were fixed and then we had a great laugh about it. Being free to spend my time doing what mattered instead of worrying about vendor drop-offs and coordination is the best gift anyone can give you on your wedding day. I was given instructions along the way so the only thing that I had to focus on was getting my vows out at the Church...the rest was taken care of. During the day-of, my best friend remarked how easy going I was about the venue during set-up. I had an epiphany - yes, I can be laid back, but bigger than that, I had so much trust in Lindsey and Lisa to bring the room to life that I had truly put all of my faith in them. I didn't have a care in the world more than what if my hair fell out of the style while I was dancing. But wait, Lisa even had an answer for that from her past experience! It was a smashing success and Lindsey and Lisa's creativity and professionalism made it happen! Thank you, Union3!

Our wedding was not only a fairytale but it was a party that people will never forget! The entire day was perfect from beginning to end and none of that would have been possible without Union3.
