We knew we wanted an intimate celebration with our closest family and friends, but so many venues seemed geared toward large weddings or made smaller weddings feel like an afterthought. The moment we found Union Bluff and learned about their micro wedding options, we instantly knew we had found the one. It offered everything we were looking with the beauty, elegance, and luxury of a larger venue while still allowing us to have the intimate celebration we had always dreamed of. From our very first conversation, Annie made us feel completely at ease. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but she was always calm, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. What meant the most to us was that she never pressured us to make decisions based on trends or tried to upsell us. Instead, she listened to what was important to us, respected our vision, and reassured us every step of the way that everything would come together beautifully. We hosted our entire wedding weekend at Union Bluff, from our guests' accommodations to the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and dining. Every single part of the experience exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, and our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was. The food was incredible and plentiful, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully executed. When our wedding day finally arrived, Annie and Gabrielle were nothing short of amazing. Together, they kept everything running so smoothly that we never had to think about logistics. They were always nearby, ready to answer questions from us or our guests, solve problems before we even knew they existed, and make sure everyone felt taken care of. Because of them, we were able to be fully present, soak in every moment, and simply enjoy getting married. I spent months dreaming about every little detail, and seeing everything come together was surreal. Annie and the Union Bluff team brought our vision to life even more beautifully than we imagined. Every decoration was exactly where it belonged, every transition was seamless, and every part of the day felt effortless. Looking back, one of the greatest gifts they gave us was peace of mind. Even with a torrential downpour as the ceremony started, the venue made sure everything was handled behind the scenes and we never had to worry about ensuring something was being done. Her organizational skills are unparalleled, and she guided us through every step of the planning process with a calm confidence that made everything feel effortless. We went with one of the packages they offer and it was the best decision. My husband and I live in Pennsylvania, but his family lives in Maine so we wanted to get married there. With the package, we chose from a smaller number of vendors for music, photos, and dessert. This was huge for us considering we couldn’t make it up constantly to meet with different vendors. It made the whole process so much easier and everyone we ended up working with was phenomenal! The compliments from our guests haven't stopped pouring in, especially about the food and drinks. The main entrees came out quickly and hot. Every dish was delicious, even the vegetarian which is important to me as a vegetarian haha. The cocktails were delicious and flowing, and the staff's attentiveness made everyone feel incredibly well taken care of. Thanks to the exceptional team at The Union Bluff our wedding was everything we had dreamed of and more. It was truly the best day ever, and we couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to start out forever.

ean views. What really stuck out to us about this experience was working with Annie Dalton, the wedding coordinator. She is a great communicator -- always easily available and quick to respond. We loved our meetings with her as she was always on top of everything. If it weren't for Annie, I would have forgotten about many important details. Not just that, but she is super kind and funny -- we just loved talking to her! She is encouraging and easy to work with. One day-of instance that comes to mind is that we forgot buckets for the flower girls' petals. Somehow, Annie found two cute little buckets that were perfect for what we needed. She always has a good solution for any problem -- I hardly ever felt like I had to worry about anything. I would highly recommend having your wedding at the Union Bluff. Thank you Annie and the rest of the staff there for helping us have such a wonderful day!

end of our reception and beyond, we can’t say enough about how organized, thoughtful, and thorough the team is, and how special they helped make our most important day. Working with Annie as our coordinator provided a seamless experience planning our wedding day. She kept us organized, communicated quickly and with timely and relevant information, and was doing a little bit of everything on wedding day to ensure everything was perfect. She answered questions very quickly leading up to our wedding day and was very helpful and thoughtful while guiding us through the planning process. Darlene took over the planning of our Rehearsal Dinner at the UB Grill and was extremely helpful in getting us on track, answering all of our questions, and ensuring that us and our guests had a great night. The picturesque setting and the ability to arrive and spend the whole weekend in York is what drew us to the Union Bluff, but they delivered beyond measure. The entire staff was wonderful, helpful, and extremely kind to us and our guests. The food was exquisite, everything we ate all weekend was delicious. When choosing where to throw the biggest day of your life, the Union Bluff team is all in to make it easy and enjoyable for you and your guests, and we can’t recommend them enough.

Food: The garlic & herb chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans w/ baby carrots were excellent. Cucumber dill salmon was solid. Lemon risotto and broccoli rabe got mixed reviews. People loved the late night snacks! Go to the fun annual tastings! They served my celiac+vegan mum an inedible standard vegan meal (pasta primavera) w/ GF pasta. So we requested a different vegan meal for our wedding, a stuffed pepper, which UBMH kindly accommodated! Our vegan guests RAVED about it and the protein in it (beans, edamame), which most vegan wedding meals lack (incl. UBMH’s pasta primavera). Highly recommend stuffed peppers if you like your vegan guests! Hotel: The hotel’s front desk was incompetent. Guests booked by phone, then the hotel would say they had no record. Multiple guests were double charged and had to spend a long time getting the money back. The hotel is astronomically expensive for what you get (old building, poor service). Also, can’t book in room block online, only by phone (inconvenient for int’l guests). Day of coordination: Darlene and her team were incredible day of. We didn’t have to do anything, everything just happened around us. UBMH staff made sure we ate, helped us rehearse ceremony mechanics, and dealt w/ vendors day of. Some guests complained later the ballroom was too cold so they went outside rather than dance — we wish we’d realized so we could've asked to adjust the temp. Communication: Our meetings w/ Darlene were helpful. She was also usually straight w/ us, even if it meant us spending less (like whether to extend the party an hour, whether to book an all inclusive package). Some missteps: Our photogs suggested we go out for sunset photos as dinner service was wrapping up and that we open dancing after. A month before, we ran this timeline by Darlene and called out the sunset photo timing specifically, and she approved it. On our final call weeks later, we found out she had neither fully read the photogs’ timeline nor the body of the email w/ our callout before answering. She then insisted it would be too long for guests to wait and had us move the father-daughter dance to open dancing before the sunset photos. On the day, dinner service was too slow, so she delayed the father-daughter dance, making us late to our sunset photos. It meant we missed a big chunk of the dancing :( We paid a deposit for a ceremony tent knowing we would have the option day of to not put it up. The week before, Hurricane Debby was projected to hit on the wedding day. Darlene emails us the Wednesday before to ask our tent decision (to pay remainder as scheduled), and tells us that due to a wedding the day before us, we wouldn’t be allowed to make a call the morning of. This sudden breach of our agreement was stressful. After hours back and forth, Darlene says it’s b/c if there are strong winds, it’s unsafe to setup the tent. It would have prevented a ton of stress if she’d led w/ that, not pinned it on the other wedding. We went sans tent and lucked out! Costs: Our final counts came to 151 (incl. 6 kids). Open bar and Concordville food package plus blue napkins. Food package prices increase annually ($105pp at signing in 2022 was actually $112pp by 2024). We paid UBMH $39,961 w/fees (doesn’t include the required rooms). Brunch was another $2,135 for 60.

and I really appreciated how fast coordinators responded to our requests, how much they took care of us day of, and were incredibly accommodating with all of our requests (customization of the menu, special beer, etc). On the more fun side, the bar is AWESOME and kept everyone happy with strong drinks. I wouldn't say that the food at UB is out of this world, but definitely solid wedding food and lots of people complimented us on the hors d'ourves. The event staff were professional and so thorough with excellent service. Also, trust Darlene and her team with their vendor recommendations -- DJ Fred was truly excellent and knows the venue inside and out. One additional point is that I found the event staff/coordinators to be very easy to work with, but the front desk at UB was challenging to work with to coordinate all of our guests staying at the hotel, and required a LOT of my time and attention. I would do it all over again though, all of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and loved that the venue was attached to the hotel! Overall, my husband and I are so appreciative for Darlene and UB for making our wedding the best day of our lives!

The food provided was outstanding, and our guests had nothing but compliments for their meals, the waitstaff, and the bartenders. The champagne, in particular, was a crowd-pleaser. The high-quality dining experience added an extra layer of luxury to our celebration. Throughout the day, Darlene and her dedicated staff kept us on schedule and were readily available for anything we needed. Their presence was reassuring, and we felt supported and well taken care of every step of the way. The Union Bluff Meeting House's support didn't start on the wedding day but extended to the entire planning process. They were extremely helpful, offering guidance, checking in with us regularly, and providing a timeline to keep us organized. Their proactive approach made the planning process smoother and more enjoyable. We were able to have just about all of our guests stay onsite at the hotel, and everyone was so happy with their rooms, as were our closest family members that stayed in the suites above the meetinghouse. We also had our rehearsal dinner onsite at the Grill, and Kim was so easy to work with, and easily able to accommodate our larger party the night before our big day. I'm not the girl that's been planning her wedding since she was four, and the engagement was a surprise - so it goes without saying we needed a lot of help. We had just the most magical day ever, and that wouldn't have been possible if she and the team were less than perfect. I truly don't know how they do it.
