Hair and makeup was the vendor I was most nervous about when we first started planning our wedding. I don’t wear a lot of makeup regularly and I was worried I wouldn’t look or feel like myself on my wedding day. Andrea was recommended to me by a friend and I am SO happy I went with her. She took into consideration how I was feeling, what I wanted the day of, and made sure to consider my skin type. She even gave me a bunch of tips at the trial on how to prep my skin and they made a huge difference. The trial itself went wonderfully and the wedding day was even better. Andrea and her extra artists were fantastic, fast, and everyone in my bridal party loved their hair and makeup. I felt so beautiful and love how I looked in all my photos from beginning to end. I cannot recommend Andrea enough and now hope I have another event in the future where I need my hair and makeup done just so I can hire her again.

The girls were so nice and did a beautiful job! After my group they went and did my in-laws and they looked great too. They even helped my now husband with his hair!

Andrea did my bridal make up, hair and make up for my mom and MOH and my flower girl hair. She was amazing, friendly, and listened to what each of us asked for. I was worried about my make up being too heavy because I don’t typically wear a lot, but Andrea created the perfect, soft bridal look for me! Couldn’t be happier!

Andrea is my favorite make-up and hair stylist. She did a wonderful job for my wedding exactly how I wanted it, an up-do with natural make-up back in 2020. I came back to see her for my baby shower make up and hair do last weekend. She did a vintage hair look with bolder make-up, which is exactly what I wanted. She listens to you, offers great tips, and is easily accessible through text. I recommend her to family and friends. She even gave me a small lipstick as a kind gesture to reapply at the event!

Andrea was so great to work with and calmed my nerves! She paired me up with Luz who was a delight. It was originally going to just be me getting bridal hair done and she ended up styling 6 of us. Everyone loved their hair and she worked efficiently and got us all done on time.

The girls were so nice, accommodating, and quick. Also the makeup stayed on all night and did not smudge or streak when I cried or sweat. Upon meeting her for my makeup and hair trial she was so friendly and kind. She is also very fast and accommodating to change. My wedding day was on 11/05/2022. On my special day her team created the best experience for my bridal party and I as some of my bridal party are not used to wearing makeup. Andrea exceeded my expectations! She truly makes sure to enhance your natural beauty. I loved my makeup and vintage waves and cannot stop obsessing how amazing I looked in my wedding photos thanks to her!

Andrea is such a personable and accommodating hair and make up artist - she truly goes above and beyond. Leading up the wedding she was able to set up a trial for me, utilize a last minute hair piece I bought, recommended a spectacular lip gloss for the day of, and was able to redo my schedule because of so many changes. I was a bit of a needy bride, Andrea was so patient with me and I never felt like I was bothering her despite how busy she is. On my wedding day, we had 11 adult hair & make up, 1 youth, and 2 flower girls. The timing went flawlessly without any hiccups or delays. Her team was professional, but still so fun and sweet! Every person loved their hair and make up. I have coarse, thicker hair and I was worried it would not stay in an updo, however, my hair AND make up lasted from 12PM to 11PM! I’m an older bride (63) and feel so lucky to have found Andrea to make me look and feel beautiful! She has many different makeup products and since she is an expert, she knows which ones work best for a variety of people. Andrea is incredibly talented and her Instagram is full of very happy clients. Plus, she is so sweet and personable! We had such a good time together at both my trial and my wedding day. No wonder customers keep bringing her back for all their special occasions!

Andrea and her makeup artist were amazing! We got married on 9/9/2022 and had 12 people getting hair and makeup done. Everyone looked beautiful and they made sure that everyone was happy with their look. 100% recommend! You can tell they love their job and will keep you at ease on your wedding day!

Andrea was absolutely incredible! I was very stressed leading up to my wedding reception, but she eased all of my worries. I showed her a photo of a look she did with one of her previous clients from her Instagram page and not only did she do exactly what I wanted, but it turned out better than expected. I wanted a low bun hairstyle and soft glam/natural look. She made me feel so beautiful! I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn’t believe how much volume and curls she did with me super straight flat hair. We also had a great conversation and I felt like I was laughing and smiling the whole time! 100/10!!

Andrea was absolutely wonderful. Her and her team made me, every single one of my bridesmaids, my mom, and my new mother-in-law feel like princesses. And we finished ahead of schedule too, which was amazing! I would highly recommend Andrea to anyone getting married in the San Diego area.

We flew to San Diego at the end of October from Alaska for our sons wedding on Nov 7th 2021. I had very low hopes of finding someone in San Diego to do our hair and makeup for a wedding that was under a week away because of the very short notice and because I didn’t have any luck finding anyone up to that point. But thankfully I got a referral to Unique And Flawless (Andrea) by another trusted hairstylist/makeup artist. I contacted her and anticipated that they wouldn’t be able to get a few of us in. And to my amazement, she had openings on Sunday for us!! She scheduled 2 appointments of us for that day with a wonderful artist, Terry, in time for the wedding of my son and his new bride. I had her go to Lemon Grove where my brother and his girlfriend had an Airbnb because that location was closer to the church of where the wedding was going to take place. Well, I didn’t realize the distance from Oceanside to Lemon Grove and I miscalculated the time horribly. Thankfully my brother’s girlfriend was there and she was able to be the first to get ready. Terry did a remarkable job and she was very accommodating and because of that, I was able to surprise my daughter with a beautifying session as well 🥰. Thank you Andrea for sending us Terry! This review is tough because I had 3 women doing hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids and I would review each stylist very differently. Andrea was the main contact from the beginning and the one who did my hair and makeup trial. She was running late for the trial which should have been my first sign of trouble, but she did a good job. Like many people, we were supposed to get married in 2020 but had to postpone. She was easy to reschedule with but things just fell through the cracks after that. Luckily I saved all our texts because I had to send her screenshots to prove we talked about certain things. Since this was a destination wedding, my wedding party wanted to pan ahead and I had to ask Andrea multiple times to send me a schedule after many "I'll send it tonight" and "I'll get it to you in the morning" type of texts. We went back and forth on the contract because she hadn't removed the cost of the trial which I had already paid for. (I had to send her a screenshot of the Venmo transaction to prove it). On the day of the wedding, two of her team members (whose names I didn't catch unfortunately) came early to do some bridesmaid hair and makeup. One of them was amazing and everyone who went to her loved what she did. The other was not amazing and one of the groomswomen actually went up to her room to change her hair. My bridal hair and makeup was supposed to start at 12:00 according to Andrea's schedule. At 12:05 I realized Andrea wasn't even there yet. I asked one of the other ladies and she called her and Andrea said she was on her way. Eventually the best stylist did my makeup because Andrea was still not there. Andrea ended up calling and texting me (the bride) on the day of my wedding asking for directions and asking someone to meet her in the lobby to walk her to our getting-ready room. Her one job that day was to do the bridal hair and makeup. She showed up AN HOUR LATE and did my hair. I was conflicted because, as I was waiting and trying not to be the bride that holds up the wedding, I was thinking I would absolutely not tip this person. But then she made my hair look even better than I had planned and I got a ton of compliments on it so I tipped her anyway. Overall, Andrea is very talented but terrible at the professionalism and business side of her professional business.

Andrea and her staff were all very efficient and kind. She was easy to work with in changing of wedding dates due to the pandemic. They made everyone feel comfortable and were attentive to each person's specific requests. Each person loved their hair and make up. I felt beautiful 💜

We had a trial with another company and was NOT happy. We found Andrea last minute and didn't do a trial - just went for it, and we couldn't be happier. Andrea is like a makeup ninja. She knows what she's doing, gets in and out, and it looks great! I love that she didn't cake makeup on my face. Highly recommend!

Andrea is a true artist. She took my vision and made it come to life. She made me look like a glam princess and I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup. I would definitely recommend her to any bride for their wedding day.

Andrea is AMAZING! My photographer recommended her for my wedding and I’m so glad she did. Booked a trial with her and she listened to what I wanted for both my hair and makeup and it came out beautifully. I don’t usually wear a ton of makeup, she made it look natural yet photograph absolutely beautifully. I booked her and a member of her team for myself and 3 bridesmaids hair and makeup. Andrea was on time, came up with a day of schedule and ensured we were all ready early for the photographer. Look no further and book Andrea! She’s a true professional and she’s super sweet too. You can tell she loves her job and truly wants to make you look and feel amazing on your big day!

I know this review is so overdue, but I told myself I have to do it no matter what because Andrea is that great! My wedding was on 11/24/2018. One of my best friends recommended Andrea to me, and I immediately made an appointment for a makeup trial. She was so sweet, friendly, and so patient with my requests. She knew exactly what would work the best on me, but she still let me try what I wanted to try first, and after I tried, yes, she was right! On the wedding, she was so professional, showed up ahead of schedule, and she made me feel stress free! I would give her 10 starts if there was an option! I highly recommend her!!!

Andrea was really sweet and conversational! She showed up on time and everyone looked amazing! She took my direction when I changed what I wanted last minute. I felt like I look natural but beautiful!

I got married october 27th and my original hair and make-up stylist (never work with bridal beauty on the go) completely flaked on me on the day of my MORNING wedding. Never even heard from them again. I was stressed. I searched for a long while early in the morning. Until i found unique and flawless. I called as soon as they opened and andrea was simply amazing. Terry, one of the stylists drove 2 HOURS to help me get ready for the wedding and the hair and makeup was absolutely stunning! I received many compliments on my wedding day. Im extremely happy. Thank you so much andrea and terry!! You two are so kind and amazing!

Andrea and her team were the absolute best. They were punctual, professional and fun to work with. We had two brides and each side had moms and bridesmaids and her team worked out the schedule and everything perfectly. At no point were we rushing or nervous that we wouldn’t get done. When I say being punctual and not worrying about your hair and make up the day of, is the best feeling in the world!

BEST MAKEUP I EVER HAD!!! I was looking for a makeup artist on Instagram for my wedding and as soon I saw her work I fell in love with it! I contacted Andrea the owner and she was very responsive to my emails which was a plus. On the trial she did some recommendations to achieve the look that I was looking for, I wanted a lot of volume but with my own hair wasn’t enough so she recommended clip ins hair extensions, Andrea sent me the link of the ones that are the best for an affordable price and omg!!!... the result was amazing that I couldn’t resist not to cry, and surprisingly the makeup stayed in place that there was no touch ups needed... On my wedding everything was stress free!! Andrea provided an schedule that included services for all my 8 bridesmaids hair and makeup plus moms, we were ready even 1 hr before the schedule which that was perfect for touch u basically till the next day !!! I highly recommend Andrea and her team!! They are simply the best in San Diego and I will definitely recommend her services to everyone!! Thank you Andrea !!!

Andrea was AMAZING!! She came to my hotel suite and did my Brusal make up and my 3 daughters. We were all so pleased with our results. Andrea is personable, pays attention to detail and really fun to work with!! She did an amazing job on our hair and make up! I had a hard time finding an artist that could do both equally. One of my dearest friends got married a month ago and I was skeptical about getting my makeup done...I normally like to do my own. Terry put my mind at ease and assured me I would not look TOO caked up...as I like more of a natural beachy glow. This woman truly is an artist and gave me the exact look I was looking for! Andrea......you are amazing and turned me into a Disney Princess....at least my little niece kept calling me Elsa when she saw me all dolled up!!! Andrea and her team make your wedding hair and make up (the biggest decision of the day) the easiest. During the hair and make up trial I knew right away she was the one. She was very sweet and funny, listened to what I wanted, and guided me on how to best accent my beautiful features. I loved how she organized a team to come in for hair and make up for my bridesmaids/mamas, while she came in for mine. This allowed us to be ready in just a few hours, instead of a long all day processes. Miracle worker she is! Thank Andrea for everything, can't wait to send you the professional photos.

Getting married today and I had a 10 am appointment with her artist Terry. Not sure if this is a scam, but it’s been an hour and terry never showed up, never called. Been calling Andrea for an hour and she won’t answer. This is so stressful. Mac in the Encintas / Carlsbad forum was able to to take me last minute. If you make the mistake of booking with this business and they bail on you, maybe try Mac too. Do not Venmo the $50. They will take it and you’re left stressing. This is such a joke. Two thumbs down 👎 👎

I got married last Sunday and four days before my wedding my HMUA flaked out on me, I went in to panic mode. Got on The Knot and started reading reviews and looking at before and after photos. Unique and Flawless stood out because of how many amazing reviews Andrea had and more importantly her photos showed her talent. I’m an older bride, 45 and some lol, so I need more help than the 24 year old naturally gorgeous bride with already flawless skin haha. I messaged her for a long shot that she’d even been available on such short notice and she called me within 20 minutes. We talked for a few minutes and all of that panic dissipated, she’s the kindest and hardest working woman and she assured me that even tho she had three other commitments that weekend she would make it happen because every bride deserves to feel beautiful on her wedding day and doesn’t need any extra stress, so I booked her. Her and Terri showed up early and set up in our bridal salon and got to work. It’s incredible how quickly they work and the magic they do! They started with my bridesmaids and then got to me last so my makeup and hair was as fresh as could be before the ceremony. It wasn’t super hot that day but it definitely was warm out. I was worried about looking old in the sun and my makeup sweating off, but it didn’t. Even after all my crying it stayed put beautifully! My hair looked so pretty and my girls all looked amazing too! Andrea even did my MIL’s makeup and she looked stunning. Gotta love that airbrush makeup, it did wonders for all of us!! I didn’t realize how important having a PROFESSIONAL HMUA was until it was almost too late. I couldn’t fathom spending the money for someone else to do my makeup but paid big bucks for a photographer when it dawned on me, what if I look all sweaty and blotchy in all my wedding photos lol can’t have that! I learned a valuable lesson, when it’s your big day, feeling beautiful makes you shine the whole day and night thru and that is PRICELESS! Andrea doesn’t even charge as much as some others and I’m so grateful I chose her because she’s an absolute professional and loves what she does and it shows. I promise you will be happy with Andrea and her team, if you’re not then maybe you’re not a reasonable person lol. One of her reviews that got me was a bride saying how sad she was to take her make up off at the end of the night because of how beautiful she felt and I totally understood that the night of my wedding too. It’s magical how she transforms you into the perfect you, not caked on over the top dramatic but the natural as can be with a tad of glamorous perfect for your wedding day you! When my husband saw me for the first time he cried and that was sexy as hell to me. If Andrea can help this old lady look stunning enough for her man to shed tears then she can do it for you too! My bridesmaids and I had the pleasure of working with Andrea, Jessica and Cheryl for my wedding. Wow, these women absolutely killed it!! There were 10 of us getting ready and they were able to finish all of us ahead of schedule, I mean when does that happen! And not only did we finish on time but everyone was thrilled how hair and makeup came out, everyone was absolutely stunning! Andrea did my hair and makeup for our big day and I could not be happier with how it all turned out. Not only was I happy with how it came out, but I have really long hair and it did not move and stayed beautiful the whole night! Prior to wedding day she was so accommodating and easy to schedule a trial run with. During the trial she really took the time to make sure she was giving me the exact look I wanted. 10/10 recommend Andrea and her team for your future needs, you will not be disappointed!

Andrea's work is incredible! She did all the makeup for our daughter's wedding (7 bridesmaids, the bride and me the mother of the bride) in San Diego and we could not have been more thrilled! First I have to say what a beautiful person she is -- inside and out. She is very kind and so easy to work with ... she listens to what you want before she starts and she tailors the makeup to each person's needs. Her work is really stunning! Natural yet dramatic and tasteful. As mother of the bride I was nervous getting my make up done (I've never had anyone do it before). But I could not have been happier! I got so many compliments. Everybody looked amazing and our daughter (the bride's) makeup was stunning. The makeup lasted all day without touch ups which was really nice. I would definitely hire her again for makeup. We would also use her for hair in the future (her work is beautiful) but our daughter's good friend did everyone's hair for the wedding. Great job - thank you SO much Andrea!

Andrea and her team were amazing! I was coming in from out of town, so everything was done via email. I had my trial run on Wednesday and my wedding was on Saturday. Andrea hit hair and make-up perfectly! Everyone looked beautiful for the pictures (when Andrea makes a suggestion, highly recommend to do what she says). Thank you Andrea for everything!

Andrea did my wedding makeup and a lot of my bridesmaids hair and makeup. She is so talented and so sweet. After I had my makeup trial with Andrea for our wedding day I felt so beautiful and knew I was going to feel great on the big day! She highlights your natural beauty and enhances it without making you feel like you have too much makeup on. I love the airbrush makeup she uses, it literally stayed on perfectly for 24 hours. I am a wedding photographer and have worked with Andrea at a few weddings last year and thought she not only does beautiful work but also was very sweet and professional! As a photographer it can be very challenging when the schedule gets pushed back due to hair and makeup being late. And this happens often unfortunately! The schedule is then rushed and can lead to missing photos and the couple overall being stressed. With Andrea I never have to worry about this. I can not stress how important it is to find a hair and make-up artist that allots the correct amount of time so that you can have the look that you love and also an amazing rest of your special day. I have worked with many many hair and make-up artists and I highly recommend Andrea!
