UFS did flowers for my small backyard COVID wedding in July 2021 - bringing Hawaii to us since we had to cancel our Hawaii ceremony. They then did hot pink themed roses for our delayed wedding reception at Gandy Dance in July 2022. Wow! Both times Dani took my inspiration photos and created something real that was even better. For both events, the UFS flowers gave my events that extra special feel.

They did my wedding on June 3rd at the Michigan League. Their floral arrangements were phenomenal! My guests could not stop raving about my and the bridesmaids' bouquets as well as the corsages, boutonnieres, and centerpieces. Not to mention Dani and her team have been nothing but sweet and supportive throughout the entire planning process. I basically gave them my wedding theme, preferences in aesthetics and colors, and they went above and beyond. Highly recommend them!!

I cannot even begin to talk about how amazing our floral was. We received a million compliments, I actually cried when I walked into our reception space. It was absolutely beautiful. Dani took my vision and made it happen 10 fold. She and her team did an amazing job transitioning floral from the multiple spaces that utilized at our venue. I couldnt have imagined better. Would highly recommend University Flower Shop! I had a general idea of what I wanted for our florals, and UFS took my explanation and a few inspiration photos and turned it into something absolutely incredible. I still cant get over how beautiful my bouquet and our centerpiece arrangements were. A handful of guests commented that these were the prettiest flowers they had ever seen at a wedding. Everything was easy and stress free, too - from our initial phone call, to set up on the day-of, UFS was reliable, flexible, and prioritized making our vision come to life.

Dani and her team at University Flower Shop were fantastic! Through all the planning and re-planning because of COVID-19, Dani was patient and worked with us to accommodate the changes in plans, including a new venue and guest count. Not knowing much about flowers, I gave Dani some parameters in terms of cost and photos of what I liked, but she and her team did the rest, and it was perfect. We could not have asked for a better day, and we’re so grateful to UFS for the beautiful florals. Highly recommend!

Dani and University Flower Shop did an incredible job with everything floral related for our wedding. I had a vision that seemed pretty vague to me but Dani translated that vision into reality in the most beautiful way. I was blown away when I walked into both our ceremony and reception with how her team had gone above and beyond on every aspect of the day. Dani was also incredibly flexible and helpful leading up to the day. Our first conversation was about one year before the wedding and my ideas changed slightly over the course of that year. Dani had no problem changing different components of the proposal accordingly and helped us to work within our budget while still delivering top-notch floral design. Knowing that we were not based in Ann Arbor, where the wedding was, she even reached out to let us know that our venue had been painted an entirely different color and recommended minor changes to ensure the florals still worked seamlessly in the space. Would recommend Dani and UFS for all weddings and other events!

Dani and University Flower Shop did all the flowers for my daughter’s 12/15/19 wedding. Flowers are really important to us, and we had a really specific, unique vision that incorporated a lot of different ideas, including a large arbor that we supplied. Dani was absolutely amazing at taking our ideas, including incorporating flowers from our own garden, and creating a breathtaking floral display that exceeded our expectations. We had planned a garden ceremony, but weather forced us to move indoors, however both the ceremony space and the reception space were absolutely transformed into a dreamy garden setting by the floral displays. We would highly recommend University Flower Shop!

I really wanted to give this florist a great review but there was such a chain of events from the time of booking with her until the day of. When we initially met with Dani we were excited to find a florist that understood our vision. We sat with her, requested bouquets, boutonnières, and our main focal piece - a giant pergola. I sent her inspiration photos of what I wanted and she confirmed what I was asking for. It took her over 2 weeks to send the proposal because it was summer time/wedding season. No big deal, I understand that. Once we finally received the proposal, I agreed to have the deposit, a sample table runner for fabric color, and a shotgun shell we were using for the bouts (at her request since she has never put one together before). These items were left with Dani and never seen again. Fast forward a year to the month before our wedding. I never heard from her (I have emails saying she would be in contact with me 1 month before) so I was forced to initiate the contact. We agreed to sit down and go over everything/finalize the details. She confirmed the day of the time and location. When she showed up, she apologized that her laptop died and she would have to pull our proposal up on her phone. Which she wasn’t able to do. Thankfully I brought printed out emails otherwise it would have been a waste of my time being there. Dani didn’t remember we had given her the shotgun shell or fabric, didn’t know where it was located, but assured me it was somewhere (never received it back). After discussing the size of the pergola, it was suggested we add more flowers, thus increasing our price. This was our only “unexpected cost” that everyone talks about when planning a wedding. It was very discouraging because she is a preferred vendor of our venue site. On the wedding day, the bouquets were delivered, and were very pretty, but did not have the long flowing fabric tied around them like I had requested and was in the inspiration photo she mentions in her proposal. The pergola, while nicely done, had some white flowers that were already starting to show brown spots after only a few hours, which were noticeable in my photographs. And I know it wasn’t weather related because they weren’t there long enough in 55 degrees to start to brown. The draping she did on the pergola had two different colored fabrics that did not match (one was mauve which was my color and one was peach which was not). The GM of the venue ended up taking the peach one down. To end the experience, I had asked her for my receipt of payment after paying my final invoice in an email before the wedding and also the day of the wedding when she dropped off the flowers. I still have not received that and had to confirm from my bank that she had cashed our check. Would I recommend her flowers? Maybe. Would I recommend Dani, the owner? No. She was not easy to communicate with and she obviously didn’t review her notes or inspiration photos to provide what we paid for. **I have since been asked to edit my review twice from The Knot/Dani 5 months after my wedding. Dani stated to me in an email that “negative statements are really harmful to her business.” It is my opinion that she cannot take constructive criticism. Reviews are meant to be honest, which I have been. Thus, I lowered her rating to compensate the information I am not allowed to report here according to The Knot.

We worked with Dani at University Flower Shop for our October 2019 wedding. She was wonderful, supportive and calming! She was easy to work with and responsive to our thoughts, comments, and questions. The end result was exactly what we had envisioned! We had white flowers with greenery and herbs and the final products were simply gorgeous. The shop was also flexible in working with a wooden arch for the ceremony that we dropped off with them only a few days before the wedding and they took care of everything. Dani and her crew decorated our event so beautifully and made us feel so special. We cannot thank Dani and the shop enough! Highly recommend them to everyone!

Working with UFS really was wonderful and a breeze, especially when I was so busy with other planning activities, the ladies at UFS helped keep things running smooth. I went in without any real ideas and they were able to take that and create a beautiful event! They built the table scapes at the venue and they were beautiful. We went with the mid-range rather than the upper range - and I would go with the upper range if I had to again for a more lush setting. We received all local flowers, which was great!

University Flower Shop did a fabulous job for us with flowers for our daughter’s September 2019 wedding. Dani was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She and her staff truly captured our daughter’s vision. The flowers were incredible and we couldn’t have been happier.

We went with University Flower Shop for our wedding and i am so happy that we did. Our flowers turned out even more beautiful than I imagined. I explained to Dani what I was envisioning and she turned it into a reality. The only complaint I had was the response time as sometimes it took a while to get a reply to my emails, however, it all worked out in the end and we absolutely loved how they turned out. The woman who delivered our flowers was wonderful too and did a great job with setup and stopped by to make sure all was good multiple times while we were getting ready. Highly recommend!!

Dani and University Flower Shop were an absolute pleasure to work with. Dani, the shop ower, is very laid back and personable. She has a great vibe and could make even the most anxious bride feel comfortable. Don’t be fooled by her calmness, she is very professional and her work is perfect. The bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were beautiful and fresh. We had a winter wedding and chose to decorate church with poinsettias then repurpose them as centerpieces and decor for the reception. We also used Christmas bulbs in glass hurricanes, winter greenery, and flamelwas candles for table decor. Dani was respectful of my desire to be very involved in the planning process and did an excellent job making my vision come to life. Everything from planning, to set up, to day of went incredibly smooth. I would HIGHLY recommend using University Flower Shop for your wedding or any other floral/decorating needs you may have!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dani and University Flower Shop. Not only was Dani attentive and responsive throughout the process, she was able to create stunning florals for our wedding. The selection of flowers we had were so much more interesting than the florals I have seen at other weddings. Their artistry and attention to detail is the best I have seen. I had envisioned tall centerpieces with large greenery spilling out, and University Flower Shop perfectly captured that idea. They are the perfect florist to work with!

Danielle and her team were AMAZING!! She helped to craft a beautiful plan for our floral needs and she took on anything that we asked. She also was a great help to us with providing key ideas and suggestions which led us to having the most gorgeous pocket boutonnieres ever which added to our unique and special day! On the day of she was on top of the details and took time to make sure our pocket bouts were perfect and well fitted since it was the first time they had attempted them and they knocked it out of the park!

Dani and the rest of the team at University Flower Shop were in charge of all the flowers for our wedding at Zingerman's Cornman Farms. Working with them was an absolute joy! I planned my Ann Arbor wedding from Seattle and Dani put together the most beautiful centerpieces, bridal bouquet and bout based on our initial phone conversation, a couple of inspiration photos and a list of my favorite flowers and colors! I was a little nervous about how everything would turn out since I never stepped foot in the flower shop itself, but was blown away at how amazing everything looked. The flowers were delivered to my venue on time and completely exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend!

Did an amazing job for my wedding! I was planning my winter wedding in Ann Arbor from out of state so found them online. I was looking for a garland for our dinner table (for 22 people), a bridal bouquet and boutonniere for my husband. The garland, bouquet and boutonniere were more beautiful than I could have imagined. I had spoken with the owner, Dani, on the phone and had sent some concept photos for the garland, but really only gave colors that I liked for the bouquet. The results were stunning and we received so many compliments on everything. They did it all at an affordable price too (think: not upselling wedding prices). Dani is responsive and aims to make the customer very happy. Can't say enough. Thank you!!

We absolutely loved our wedding flowers! Dani was so helpful throughout the process- she helped us work through our ideas and come up with arrangements that fit our budget, which we really appreciated. Gwen was very helpful and understood my requests perfectly. She worked with my budget and gave me options and advice.

I chose orange flowers for our fall wedding but didn't come into the flower shop with any ideas of exactly which flowers to choose. Gwen was so helpful and showed us many options. She also provided tips on how to keep the cost down which I really appreciate. The flowers turned out beautiful and the customer service was outstanding. We have been complimented many times on the flowers. Gwen also was able to tie in a ring of my grandma's and part of my mother's wedding lace into my bouquet. I definitely recommend this florist.

I had Gwen at the University Flower Shop do the boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets for my wedding, and they were lovely. She showed up on time, and everything looked exactly like it was supposed to. She even delivered the bouquets in vases with a little water, so the bouquets wouldn't wilt in the heat AND we could use our bouquets as centerpieces at the bridal table. She was friendly and the flowers looked wonderful!

Both my sister and my one of my friends had used University Flower shop for their weddings, so they came recommended to me. We worked with Gwen and although my fiance and I did not know a lot about flowers she worked to find just the look we wanted and within a budget we were comfortable with.
