Our first conversation was about one year before the wedding and my ideas changed slightly over the course of that year. Dani had no problem changing different components of the proposal accordingly and helped us to work within our budget while still delivering top-notch floral design. Knowing that we were not based in Ann Arbor, where the wedding was, she even reached out to let us know that our venue had been painted an entirely different color and recommended minor changes to ensure the florals still worked seamlessly in the space. Would recommend Dani and UFS for all weddings and other events!

We had planned a garden ceremony, but weather forced us to move indoors, however both the ceremony space and the reception space were absolutely transformed into a dreamy garden setting by the floral displays. We would highly recommend University Flower Shop!

th her, requested bouquets, boutonnières, and our main focal piece - a giant pergola. I sent her inspiration photos of what I wanted and she confirmed what I was asking for. It took her over 2 weeks to send the proposal because it was summer time/wedding season. No big deal, I understand that. Once we finally received the proposal, I agreed to have the deposit, a sample table runner for fabric color, and a shotgun shell we were using for the bouts (at her request since she has never put one together before). These items were left with Dani and never seen again. Fast forward a year to the month before our wedding. I never heard from her (I have emails saying she would be in contact with me 1 month before) so I was forced to initiate the contact. We agreed to sit down and go over everything/finalize the details. She confirmed the day of the time and location. When she showed up, she apologized that her laptop died and she would have to pull our proposal up on her phone. Which she wasn’t able to do. Thankfully I brought printed out emails otherwise it would have been a waste of my time being there. Dani didn’t remember we had given her the shotgun shell or fabric, didn’t know where it was located, but assured me it was somewhere (never received it back). After discussing the size of the pergola, it was suggested we add more flowers, thus increasing our price. This was our only “unexpected cost” that everyone talks about when planning a wedding. It was very discouraging because she is a preferred vendor of our venue site. On the wedding day, the bouquets were delivered, and were very pretty, but did not have the long flowing fabric tied around them like I had requested and was in the inspiration photo she mentions in her proposal. The pergola, while nicely done, had some white flowers that were already starting to show brown spots after only a few hours, which were noticeable in my photographs. And I know it wasn’t weather related because they weren’t there long enough in 55 degrees to start to brown. The draping she did on the pergola had two different colored fabrics that did not match (one was mauve which was my color and one was peach which was not). The GM of the venue ended up taking the peach one down. To end the experience, I had asked her for my receipt of payment after paying my final invoice in an email before the wedding and also the day of the wedding when she dropped off the flowers. I still have not received that and had to confirm from my bank that she had cashed our check. Would I recommend her flowers? Maybe. Would I recommend Dani, the owner? No. She was not easy to communicate with and she obviously didn’t review her notes or inspiration photos to provide what we paid for. **I have since been asked to edit my review twice from The Knot/Dani 5 months after my wedding. Dani stated to me in an email that “negative statements are really harmful to her business.” It is my opinion that she cannot take constructive criticism. Reviews are meant to be honest, which I have been. Thus, I lowered her rating to compensate the information I am not allowed to report here according to The Knot.

envisioned! We had white flowers with greenery and herbs and the final products were simply gorgeous. The shop was also flexible in working with a wooden arch for the ceremony that we dropped off with them only a few days before the wedding and they took care of everything. Dani and her crew decorated our event so beautifully and made us feel so special. We cannot thank Dani and the shop enough! Highly recommend them to everyone!

a beautiful event! They built the table scapes at the venue and they were beautiful. We went with the mid-range rather than the upper range - and I would go with the upper range if I had to again for a more lush setting. We received all local flowers, which was great!

was the response time as sometimes it took a while to get a reply to my emails, however, it all worked out in the end and we absolutely loved how they turned out. The woman who delivered our flowers was wonderful too and did a great job with setup and stopped by to make sure all was good multiple times while we were getting ready. Highly recommend!!

e is very professional and her work is perfect. The bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were beautiful and fresh. We had a winter wedding and chose to decorate church with poinsettias then repurpose them as centerpieces and decor for the reception. We also used Christmas bulbs in glass hurricanes, winter greenery, and flamelwas candles for table decor. Dani was respectful of my desire to be very involved in the planning process and did an excellent job making my vision come to life. Everything from planning, to set up, to day of went incredibly smooth. I would HIGHLY recommend using University Flower Shop for your wedding or any other floral/decorating needs you may have!

d were so much more interesting than the florals I have seen at other weddings. Their artistry and attention to detail is the best I have seen. I had envisioned tall centerpieces with large greenery spilling out, and University Flower Shop perfectly captured that idea. They are the perfect florist to work with!

geous pocket boutonnieres ever which added to our unique and special day! On the day of she was on top of the details and took time to make sure our pocket bouts were perfect and well fitted since it was the first time they had attempted them and they knocked it out of the park!

ur table arrangements, garlands, and bouquets were stunning. The flowers could not have been more fresh or beautiful and, although we had an idea of the combination of flowers we wanted,to use, Dani made surprising additions that not only enhanced our floral display, but completed the look in a way we could not have imagined. Dani's enthusiasm and creativity are amazing. She was by far our favorite vendor to work with! I wish there were more "stars " for this one..
