The food was delicious — the taco bar was a huge hit, and everyone could not stop talking about the chocolate chip cookies! The staff was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and during the event itself. Our guests had such a great time and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Uptown Social for any large event or wedding welcome party!

tial inquiry of the space to the event itself, we could not recommend it more. We were able to have a 50+ person rehearsal dinner in the upstairs bar area that easily & quickly turned into a 200+ person welcome party across the indoor & outdoor bar.
The staff was so incredibly accommodating in every part of the planning & execution process. They worked with us to curate a menu that we were excited about & was absolutely delicious, helped decorate the tables & space exactly how we'd hoped & were all incredibly thorough through all it is.
Lindsey was the event director that we worked with. She was incredible. She answered all of our questions and request throughout the entire process. The night of the event Lindsey was constantly checking in, ensuring we were having a blast & everything was going to expectations.
Lindsey & the entire team at Uptown Social absolutely exceeded expectations and helped us throw the perfect night before. We cannot recommend them enough for your event in Charleston! Thank you Uptown team for making our weekend so special!!
Lindsey and the entire team at Uptown Social are truly outstanding. There arent enough words to thank this team enough for being so wonderful throughout the entire planning process...
. From meeting Lindsey and her team, to selecting the menu, to seeing it all come to life the day of - we were in awe of how perfect everything was. I could not recommend this venue enough. Whether you have a small event or an event like ours of 180 people - this team can do it all! The space is truly beautiful. We were able to have the entire second floor as our venue space and the service provided was top tier in every sense of the word. We loved everything about it, the team we worked with, the communication and most importantly, the service provided. We will recommend Uptown Hospitality to anyone moving forward, and we are thrilled that we can now call Lindsey one of our friends. The best experience of my life - with the best team in town. THANK YOU FOREVER, Uptown Social
Lindsey and her staff were amazing. We booked Uptown Social sight unseen for my sons rehearsal dinner/ welcome party. Not only is the location so "charleston" it was fun and differ...
ent. Being from NJ and having 136 people traveling to Charleston we wanted to give them a taste of downtown and Uptown Social more than fit the bill.
Lindsey worked with me for months to get everything perfect. She and her staff were quick to respond to my many many questions and help in any way possible. We had 3 areas for our group and it was perfect. The weather helped also to have the outside space. We did a sit down for the first 2 hours and within 10 minutes Lindsey and her staff transformed the space into a welcome party with all of us still there. Its like little fairies came through that we didn't see and transformed everything before our eyes.
I highly recommend this location for a rehearsal/welcome party. Being from Jersey we are tough to please and Uptown Social more then met our expectations.
Oh and finally be prepared to stay because as our party ended the whole place was jumping.
Uptown Social created the night of our dreams!! They got it going on!!
We recently hosted a micro wedding reception dinner at Uptown Social in the Hudson Room. This room was the...
perfect size for our 20 guests with plenty of room for a buffet and personal bar. When planning our event, we communicated with Niki and Lindsey. They were quick to respond over email, a pleasure to talk with over the phone, and they took the time to throughly answer our many questions! We selected several appetizers and the Taco Bar option for our guests. The food was delicious! We also had a variety of mini desserts and a lovely decorated wedding cake that were equally amazing!
Uptown Social is definitely known for their fun nightlife atmosphere. But even while catering to their many other patrons in the downstairs restaurant, we still felt like their top priority! The professionalism this team exhibits is unmatched. Our day-of planner, Anna, assisted with any last minute changes and made sure our decorations were perfectly placed! Staff was always available to refill drinks or take away empty trays.
After our formal reservation in the Hudson Room ended for the night, our guests headed right out to the dance floor!! Meanwhile, Uptown Social’s team carefully packed up all our leftover food and decorations to be brought home. We had a great choice of music for the night between the DJ preforming upstairs to the band on the main floor. We enjoyed ourselves all night!
Our guests continue to compliment the quality of their experience with Uptown Social. We cannot thank you enough!

ocation to give our guests a “Charleston” experience right from the get-go! Niki, and the events team at Uptown Social, were absolutely incredible to work with throughout the planning process. They were extremely responsive, answered every question we had, gave great recommendations, and tried to accommodate all our special requests. With their guidance, we ended up booking both the Hudson and Cooper rooms for our Welcome Party, which allowed our guests to enjoy the rooftop and the live DJ. We were also to create a menu complete with a cash bar and hundreds of hor d’oeuvres for our 70 guests to enjoy. The planning process was excellent – However, we were blown away on the night of our event! The food was AMAZING. Seriously, our guests were coming up to us all night telling us how good everything was. The rooms were equipped with two bars, and three bartenders, so our guests were never stuck waiting for drinks! The staff were friendly, fun, and quick. It was a perfect way to set the tone for the weekend and we are so happy that we ended up booking our Welcome Party with Uptown Social. We would HIGHLY recommend them to other couples looking for a fun and laid-back event!
We hosted our welcome party back in April and it was one of the best ideas we had! We decided to have a smaller destination wedding and not a lot of guests had been to Charleston. ...
So we wanted to host an event to get people to mingle and take some stress off my husband and I for the following day. We met with Lindsey and she was so easy to talk to and so helpful when trying to get an idea of food, decor and layout of the room. I loved that they had an extra service where they could add some florals and decor - it was worth it! Lindsey and her staffed helped set up and breakdown the space - which was so incredibly helpful so we could just enjoy and entertain our guests. Uptown social was the perfect spot for our guests - and it was the perfect spot to set the tone for the next day! The food was incredible and Lindsey was always in constant contact with me about replenishing or asking if we needed anything. The bartenders, servers and bussers were also so friendly and we’re quick to refill drinks and clean spaces for us. Can’t say enough good things!
Lindsey was so amazing to work with! She is very organized and replies in a timely manner! I wish she could have been my wedding planner (she is that amazing)! The rehearsal dinner...

y for our guests.
While searching the downtown area for an event space, we saw Uptown Social and we contacted via email. We received a response immediately from Maddie, who then provided us with pricing and information. After comparing USC to other venues, we were pleased with the pricing, location and “feel” of USC. We found it charming that it was rustic with an elegant touch. Think wooden rafters with chandeliers.
Maddie was very responsive to all of our questions and helped guide us on a menu.
In the end, we selected the Hudson Cooper Room which was upstairs. Our room was large and accommodating and there was access to the outside rooftop, which had a DJ and just added to our guests fun.
We selected the Mount Pleasant catering menu for our 60 guests with beer and wine.
The venue was perfect and easily held all of guests, the food was excellent and plentiful. Not once did we ever run out of any item. The staff consistently refilled any item that was running low. At the end of of our event, they offered to box up remaining food for us.
The entire staff was pleasant, helpful, courteous and friendly. Working with Maddie and Lindsey to coordinate the event was easy and we found them to be very responsive.
It was a great party, everyone enjoyed the food (and alcohol) and in the end, it was the perfect place to start our wedding weekend. I would highly recommend having an event here.
Lindsey Pierz and her events team supplied our family with a perfect wedding rehearsal dinner and reception experience. At every step in the process Lindsey was right there with us...
answering any questions we had.
Menu selection was terrific and we had so many guests telling us how creative the menu was and how good the food was.
The food presentation and wait staff delivery was flawless. Bartenders were fast and professional.
The venue is perfect. Great mix of indoor and outdoor space, and the price point was an attractive one. You simply cannot go wrong choosing Uptown Social for your wedding-related event!
Ideal for wedding or pre-wedding event! Tremendous and immediate follow-up to any questions. Great venue and a solid value. Food choices were excellent and delicious.

and show up- the Uptown Social team did all the rest! The food was great and our guests kept commenting how good it was! The staff was so friendly as well. It was perfect for the upscale casual vibe we wanted for our Rehearsal. Can’t recommend them enough!

ceeded our expectations, and the venue is the perfect setting for this type of event. There are many choices available for menu items and drink options. There is plenty of room to gather and mingle, and enjoy food and drinks. The servers and bar tenders were great, the food was top notch, and the onsite coordinator (Director of Events Lindsey) was very responsive and great to work with. The bride, groom and both sets of parents are all from out of town, so it was a great relief to be in such capable hands. We highly recommend Uptown Social for both Rehearsal Dinners and Welcome Parties, and our guests were still gushing about the wonderful time they had two days later.

ironment was intimate, but also fun. The service we received from the entire staff was amazing, but Lindsey went above and beyond to make sure the event was everything my brother and his wife wanted. Thanks Uptown Social!
During our wedding weekend we decided to host our welcome party/happy hour at Uptown Social. We rented the Cooper room for 35 people for 2 hours and it was amazing!!

dsey, and the rest of the staff were professional, friendly, attentive and overall just cool people that made the experience more comfortable than we could have ever expected.
Food: We decide to go the a la carte route: We ordered tenders, the jerk steak skewers, deviled eggs, the hummus platter and a cheese platter. We thought we would have enough for everyone to snack on but never imagined having to take home so much food because everyone was stuffed. The tenders we juicy yet crispy and the steak skewers were spicy and addictive. Everyone that joined our party loved all the food and even talked about it the next day. A+
Overall we could not have asked for a better experience at Uptown Social and would highly recommend this venue.
