Utah Jive

Keith was the DJ for our New Year's Eve wedding, and he nailed it. We didn't have a wedding coordinator, so we sent a schedule to our vendors, including Keith. Keith was so helpful in keeping things moving at a steady clip - in addition to playing the perfect mix of songs, hosting party games, and inviting our guests to participate in a number of activities. Would highly recommend Keith to anyone getting married in or around Park City.

We used Utah Jive's photobooth services based on a recommendation from our wedding coordinator. Nina and her team were incredibly easy to work with - they arrived on time for the event, were super professional and guests loved the booth. We would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in the Park City or Salt Lake area!

Keith helped us out on our day! I last minute decided we needed him at the ceremony and he was more than willing to help us out! Our whole reception went flawlessly and he definitely kept our party going! Everyone said it was the most fun wedding they’d had and it’s all because of Keith’s work!

We hired Utah Jive for our Prom this year. I had known nothing about the company prior to this. While we were deciding who to book for out DJ, I asked Utah Jive for quotes as well as other school that they had played for. They were very helpful and got that information back very quickly. The booking process was extremely easy, and the staff is always so quick to help. In addition to booking a DJ, we also rented a photo booth. On the day of the event, both DJ and Photo booth exceeded all of our expectations. We couldn't have picked a better company.

Everything was wonderufl from start to finish! The ladies on the planningeam, Nina and Emily were so friendly and responsive. Our DJ, Keith was awesome!! He only recieved about 5 songs from us and just went with it! He read the audience so well and played great music that had everyone dancing all night! Truly amazing team!

We used Utah Jive for our photo booth, and we’re so happy we did! They called beforehand to make sure all of our questions were answered. We also asked them to set up during our dinner and speeches, and they were so quiet setting up they didn’t disrupt any of it! Our guests loved it and we even had a copy of all of the photo strips from our guests, which was so fun to see later. Would highly recommend Utah Jive!

Utah Jive was so simple and amazing to work with! I loved that they assigned a Dj that best fit our style and made our wedding perfect! We had a great time at our wedding thanks to Utah Jive. Steve was our DJ and he played nice music during dinner, and the right amount of each genre during the dancing hour. He asked us if we were okay with everything before he did it, and he was a great MC. Utah Jive was easy to book with (booked with Craig) and they even give you someone to email in the office if you have any questions throughout the process. You just have to bring your own table for them, which our venue had so that was helpful.

Utah Jive is an awesome company to work with! Pricing was very reasonable and they were very easy to work with. All of the songs I had requested were played at the right times and even requested songs were available during the reception. Communicating with them was easy, as they were quick to respond to any questions or inquires that I had. I feel they helped to give us the wedding of our dreams! I would recommend them over and over!!

Our DJ, Anthony, played the wrong song when the bridal party walked down the isle. I asked why he was playing that song and he said he couldn't find the one I wanted him to play. I'm not sure why he thought the appropriate time for me to find this out was during the wedding. I paid extra to meet with this guys personally a week before the wedding. I emailed him a link to the song several days before the wedding and I texted him two days before the wedding. Not once during all of this did he let me know that he couldn't get the song I wanted. I would have found a different song, if I would have known. I also specified in writing and verbally that I wanted a special song played during the father/daughter groom/mother section of the night, for my daughter and the groom. I had to remind him after the groom and mother dance and it took him so long to find the song, that my 3 year old daughter got tired of waiting and ran out the door. Luckily, we were able to get her back in for it. It was pretty disappointing that even when we paid extra to meet with him before the wedding, that these easily avoidable mistakes, were still made.

I loved this company for their office coordinator and photobooth services. She was friendly and helpful and the photobooth was a blast and worked great. Such a hit!! However I was dissapointed in their DJ services. Our DJ was Al/Alan and he was very hard to communicate with, wouldn't meet me in person before the wedding. And after filling out paperwork on what songs we wanted played when, and giving him a must play list of songs. He didn't follow it very well. He played the wrong song for the mother/son dance and didn't play most of the songs on our request list. Also he didn't do a great job of MC-ing. He announced things without making sure he had been heard and people missed certain events.

We decided to use Utah Jive based on the hundreds of great reviews we had researched online. They gave us a great deal for DJ services and lighting, and our DJ, Craig Hartman, was the absolute best! He made our wedding reception exactly the atmosphere we wanted, and because of his cooperation, charm, and talent, we had the best time! I can't imagine our wedding reception with any other DJ. He really got to know us, and went above and beyond with suggestions of entertainment to do, outside of playing music. It was the perfect night!

My guests really loved this idea for my wedding. My photobooth attendan Whitney was super sweet and took great care of my guests. About the only bad thing that I can say was that it took a long time for guests to have their pictures taken and there were some of my guests that never did the photobooth because they didn't want to wait in the long line. Other than that, it was great

I had my wedding in Oct 2010 and we got the pleasure to have James K. be our DJ. We was awesome! We've had so many compliments from our guests that it was the funnest wedding they have ever been to, it was all because of the great atmosphere and interaction that James had put into our wedding. Everything that we asked or requested he did. I will always recommend them to anybody!

We hired Utah Jive and James the owner was our DJ. He was so good and made the wedding so fun! !! which was really important because i wanted a fun wedding! He was out on the dance floor dancing with the little kids, teaching dances, he danced with my husbands grandma, and my niece thought it was so cool how he let her sing a song! He was awesome and very professional. We hired him wasy in advanced and he would just randomly email me asking how i was and how the wedding planning was going. I would have gave him 4 stars but there was some things i did not love... he kept talking about tipping him, and how all his dj's get great tips, i personally did not think that was necassary and thought it was rather annoying. The other thing was two weeks before my wedding he sent me the wedding itinerary and it needed to be changed so i emailed him the changes and he never e mailed me back, i tried calling him and he didnt answer or call back. He finally called me back the day before the wedding and didnt even say sorry... just said i bet you thought i died, which i did! He made it very stressful at the end. But he did a great job at the wedding and everyone loved him alot of my guest complimented him. I would still recommed him to everyone despite tho couple things that bothered me.
