We can honestly say our day would not have been what it was without her! The Vandiver Inn team made everything feel effortless from start to finish. They handled every detail beautifully, and we were able to simply enjoy every moment of our day knowing we were in the best hands imaginable. All the staff members we spoke to were extremely friendly and went above and beyond with their customer service for me and my family. We booked out every room has available for my wedding and I have not heard a single complaint from anyone! They all loved their stay! The pavilion Outback is beautiful and the whole inn has a charming idyllic atmosphere that all my guest continuously complimented. I feel so lucky that we were able to find such an affordable all inclusive venue for our wedding.

They were very reasonably priced as well. For the same service closer to DC, we would have had to spend probably triple and for probably inferior food. The food was DIVINE. The inn itself is exquisite and cozy and the staff were all extremely attentive and welcoming - we felt so at home even though were there for only a few days. In addition, the inn is walking distance from the water and many restaurants and shops, which was fun and conveninent for us and our families. For the wedding itself, our coordinator, Courtney, thought of every detail and did an amazing job making sure everything ran smoothly the day of so that we could relax and enjoy the time with our guests. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, and were able to enjoy not just the beautiful inn for our celebration but also take advantage of the beautiful gardens/patios on the grounds for our ceremony, happy hour, lawn games after dinner, etc. It was absolutely the most perfect weekend and celebration, and best of all, we now have a memorable spot to visit in the future for anniversaries and other fun occasions. We cannot recommend Vandiver Inn enough!

They noticed I wasn't there and went out of their way to make sure I had food - completely unexpected and greatly appreciated. During the wedding, my husband and I were always taken care of. They brought us appetizers and made sure we always had the drink of our choice without us even asking. They truly made our day stress free and so much fun. I could not recommend this place more.

One of the best things about working with Ash and everyone at the Vandiver was how smoothly everything went on the day of the wedding. We didn't have to worry about anything. Everyone was so good at what they do and knew exactly what needed to happen and when. The food was divine, from the appetizers to the entrees. Our guests raved about it. The pavilion was perfect for a well-ventilated reception. It was the perfect atmosphere for mingling, and the garden was great for people who wanted to take a break from dancing. r, we were smitten. We did our wedding on December 12th, 2021 (yes…just yesterday), and I knew one of the first things I had to do when I woke up today was write an outstanding review. First and foremost, the grounds of the mansion are stunning. Given that we did a winter wedding most people wouldn’t think the outdoor landscapes at places would look nice for pictures, but The Vandiver Inn has so many nooks and crannies and staged areas. Between the patio, gazebo, porches, and courtyard, we had so many options for photos. The staff is so caring and kind! Liz helped us with the first steps and Ash took over as our coordinator. Ash is so incredible at her job. She knows exactly what a bride needs throughout the planning processes and especially the day of the wedding. She kept everyone on schedule and was so attentive to our needs. As a super OCD bride, it was hard for me to let go and let someone else organize and take responsibility, but ASH is A ROCKSTAR. The food is DELECTABLE. I recommend going to tastings because they are incredibly affordable and you get a good idea of all the menu options. The Ahi Tuna appetizers are where it’s at ;) Chef Susan truly makes food an art. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Our guests all raved about how good the beef tenderloin was! The serving staff was amazing and were present and responsive. Our bartender goes down as the best bartender of all time, he kept the party going. THANK YOU to all the Vandiver Staff who made this day special. I highly recommend brides to get a room the night before so you’re already here to get ready on site. All the rooms are so charming and historic. We stayed at The John Henry room and it was spacious and comfortable. I had 5 girls getting ready for me with 2 photographers and hair/makeup, and everyone still had breathing room. Use the preferred vendors list on the website if you book your wedding or event with Vandiver. Our DJ Kristin Stock was incredibly and I highly recommend her. We also got our cake through a contact with the venue, and let me tell you that apple cider cake with cream cheese frosting is where it’s at. I have nothing but positive and raving comments about the experience. All my guests loved the location and the spaces. I’ve always said winter weddings are underrated, and our wedding and Vandiver showed that winter is the new spring! The patio was a comfortable space for everyone with the heaters, and the pavilion was such a comfortable temperature. So if you’re looking for a venue with history, character, great service, accommodations and down to earth owners like John and Susan, please choose Vandiver. You will not regret it. -The Coopers

I know Ashley had dozens of other couples to help but she made me feel like our wedding was the most important thing in the world! We would not have had the wedding of our dreams without Ashley. Everyone at our wedding complimented the venue and the amazing service that was provided. Vandiver was extremely flexible with us when we had to make multiple changes due to covid-19. The biggest highlight to the Vandiver was every single person we worked with went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. Every person we worked with really took the time to know us and help us have the wedding of our dreams. People kept asking me if the bartender was a friend of mine because of how friendly and amazing he was but the truth is that is just how everyone at the Vandiver treats you, like you are a close friend. Vandiver is a gorgeous venue and the food was truly amazing. I can honestly say that the best wedding food I have ever had was at my own wedding because everything at Vandiver is homemade and so delicious. I can not believe how much was included with our wedding. Vandiver did everything and I mean everything. The only outside vendors I had to use were photography, flowers, and a DJ! Everything else Vandiver takes care of from setting up, to the cake, to the linens, to the bar service. For everything Vandiver does the price is unbeatable. I recommend booking rooms at the Inn for your wedding! My husband and I both got ready in two of their gorgeous rooms and all of our guests who spent the night at the Inn were amazed. Vandiver Inn is a stunning wedding venue, with delicious food, and outstanding service. There is not one single thing we would have changed about our wedding and Vandiver gave us a wedding more beautiful than we ever thought we could afford.

To celebrate all night and wake up with your family and friends around you, it was so perfect. The food was delicious, the staff was so helpful and waited on everyone with the utmost care and professionalism. We cannot wait to attend future dinners, events and outings at Vandiver. All of our reception decorations and extras were dropped off the day before and the entire ceremony and reception was set up BEAUTIFULLY without any direction from us allowing me and my bridal party to spend the day getting ready without stress of setup or takedown. The bartender and servers were awesome, tending to our guest needs quickly. The rooms were beautiful and the family who came from out of town to stay there ranted about how excellent staying at the Inn was. Havre de Grace is our home town and we were already in love with the area but the photos and location are breathtaking. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding experience.

We were even given a personal event manager (Theresa) who kept us on track with dates/payments/decisions ahead of time, and also kept everything on track on the actual day. The food was excellent, drink packages were reasonable, and decor was cute. We only had to supply table cards, a few floral arrangements, and centerpieces. Theresa placed everything for us in the morning, so we didn't have to set anything up at all. We were able to check in early (in 3 of our 7 booked rooms), allowing time for us to get ready and take some photos before the ceremony. Since there was a passing shower, the bridal party took photos on the balconies and porches - there are so many fantastic spots to take photos at the venue as well as nearby at the lighthouse. Everything ran smoothly the day of, the staff and servers were kind and fun, and even the day after the wedding we had a delicious breakfast before checking out and heading to our honeymoon. Our guests loved the venue and its ease of access from Baltimore and Philadelphia. While we did love having our ceremony outside, the August sun was very hot with little shade overhead, so check the weather and don't be afraid to have the ceremony in the cool A/C! We can't say enough good things about the Vandiver and their staff.

During the reception the servers at Vandiver were exceptional. Everything ran smoothly and on time. We stayed overnight at the inn, and the rooms were not only charming, but also very comfortable. The food at the cocktail hour and reception was phenomenal. Everything was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. Our guests raved about the Vandiver and many commented that it was the best reception they had attended. Most important, though, my daughter and son-in-law had a truly magical wedding day, which was largely due to the quality of the staff and facility at Vandiver Inn.

There's a lot that can be stressful about wedding planning, but choosing to go with Vandiver, which is a one stop shop that really delivers on everything, was one of the best choices we made and ended up taking a lot off our plate. Everyone commented that it was one of the prettiest venues they had been to and how good the food was. A+!

ost all inclusive, I had so much less to worry about than many brides! The venue is the right amount of rustic for what we wanted and I fell in love the moment I saw it in person. The staff were all AMAZING every step of the way! My day of coordinator was always there for me during planning and there every time I needed her for the day of! The owners were so nice and helped to make sure the day went smooth! Every one of my guests had huge compliments on how great the food was and how wonderful the bar staff was! The inn keeper was very accommodating with cleaning my room up some during the wedding so we didn’t come back to a mess after the reception was over and helped a lot when there was a small mix up with one of the rooms for a guest. It’s more of a relaxed venue (atmosphere wise) and I don’t have a single negative thing to say about my day! I’m so glad we chose them and will recommend them in the future for events!

The food was excellent (go for the goat cheese ball appetizer -- seriously), and Theresa was attentive to our needs the entire evening. You'll have the thought that it'll be cheaper to buy your own alcohol, price out caterers, and negotiate with other companies over table/chair rentals, but the price is right here, and you have to consider the pains of actually coordinating all those moving parts on the day of. Our family and close friends could relax and have fun the entire weekend because they didn't have to worry about setting up tables and centerpieces. Vandiver staff take care of it all for you. Not only is this venue practical, but it really is beautiful. It has that great vintage charm, and it looks magical in the pavilion at night. The rooms are very nice. We could not have asked for a better location and staff. If we did everything over again, we would not change a thing.

We met with Chasi upfront who made everything streamlined and simple. Liz Lange was our coordinator, and she executed our wedding day just as we wanted... even throwing in a couple of surprises, much to our delight! We made our wedding into a mini family reunion by renting out the entire Mansion and rooms in the other two houses. It gave us the entire weekend to enjoy the time with our loved ones, making the space our own (college football in the parlor, hell yeah!) and having everyone within a stone's throw just as we wanted! The delicious food... from our tasting dinners we knew it was great but also happy to hear our guests rave about it as well. We loved working with Desserts by Rita (we did add on extra cupcakes and happy we did as they were gone by night's end!). Also, we loved having breakfast (and it's delicous!) with everyone in the Mansion on Saturday and Sunday mornings, another perk of renting the place out. Just hanging with family around the tables, swapping stories from the day before. Hands down we would do it all over again, just as it was the first time - magical and delightful. Thank you!!
