he ceremony and dancing the night away, my hair and makeup stayed picture perfect (which is quite the feat considering that I have fine hair and oily skin). It's also worth mentioning that Vanity Salon offers on-site services! My bridal party and I were able to get our hair and makeup done at the wedding venue, which made for a more relaxing afternoon. Overall, Vanity Salon's services are top notch and they made getting ready an enjoyable experience!

my mother and mother-in-law to also have their hair and makeup done. The looks were soft and natural but also bold enough to stand out in photos and remain on throughout the day. I would highly recommend using Vanity Salon for all bridal needs.

. Vanity Salon had a "team" of wedding experts ready to go. It was really easy to set up a time for me to be ready with my bridesmaids and have everyone ready to go ON TIME! I was super nervous, but girls made me laugh and I was able to loosen up to see my bridal beauty. Would recommend for any priority event!

makeup done for myself. In January, I booked both a makeup trial (scheduled for late February) as well as an in-salon appointment for the day of my wedding (April) to have my makeup done. The trial went as planned - Minnie did my makeup and everything looked ok overall though there were a few things I was planning to ask her to change for the day of. Fast forward to 3 days before my wedding and I get a call from Minnie saying that she wasn't going to be available to do my makeup for the day of the event because she was going to an off-site wedding... To make matters worse, she offered to book me with another stylist but the only available appointment for that day was at 9am...for my wedding that started at 5pm. Despite all of this, I received absolutely no apology for their unorganized and completely unprofessional behavior. I ended up canceling the appointment altogether and had a friend do my makeup instead. And honestly, it turned out better than the trial anyway.

ld say they will get back to me through email. After waiting more than a week for a response I would call the salon and they would not answer. I truly felt at a lost with them and I hope they give better service to other people.

e was rude and did a horrible job with my hair. She was constantly texting someone during my trial and acted though I was inconveniencing her. She slicked my hair back which I said I wanted it loose. She said it could not look like the inspo photo because my hair wasn’t highlighted. (2 other stylists were horrified when I showed what Kim did, one of which said, “that looks like a messy after soccer bun”). On the day of, Janet did my makeup and was nice. Kylie stepped in to do hair and she did a great job. It was blind trust though on my wedding day and I had no idea who would be doing my hair until hours before my wedding. While Janet and Kylie were great, I would never be able to recommend Vanity to anyone. If I hadn’t been so close to my wedding, I would have searched for a different hair and makeup vendor.

- Hannah did my makeup (which I liked) and Janet did my hair. On the day of the wedding they didn't send Hannah and had her working at the salon which I thought was strange. Why would the person who did my makeup trial not do my makeup for the wedding? Kim did hair and makeup for a couple of my bridesmaids and then quickly rushed out. Both bridesmaids then had to have Janet fix their hair and makeup because Kim didn't listen at all to what they wanted. Benny was one of the people they sent to do hair, and it seemed like he was somewhat new. All he knew how to do was curl hair so he would curl and then Lee would do the styling, which would have been fine except he took FOREVER to curl each person's hair. My hair came out fine, but it wasn't what I showed for a picture. Everyone who wanted loose curls got crimped hair. All of my bridesmaids commented on how unprofessional the services were. Again, Janet was the exception to all of this and was amazing and was there to fix everyone's hair and makeup to get them more what they wanted. She also stayed on site for extra time to do touch ups after our first look before the ceremony. If you're looking for more glam makeup, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

cifically a new make-up artist and she was incredible. I absolutely LOVED my hair and make-up on my wedding day, and so did my entire bridal party. I showed pictures and they made the look come to life. We were very impressed. I had to reschedule my wedding twice due to Covid, and they were so flexible and great about working with me! If you are getting married in Charleston I would 100% give them a call!

They were flexible and made sure that my new idea was everything I wanted! My Bridesmaids and I had so much fun chatting with them and it was most definitely stress free. I now know why so many people recommended them. Great job ladies, keep up the great work!

they would handle the situation. I had a VERY poor experience with the day of service and the discussion afterwards. These are not the only things that upset me that day but just a few highlights. First we communicated beforehand on how many girls would need makeup and hair that day and they let me know two girls would be coming to help. That day they sent three girls. Not a problem except I had to pay the extra traveling cost for the extra stylist that I wasn’t aware of. I would have appreciated the communication before. The owner said she would refund me part of the money back but has yet to do so after a couple weeks. They didn’t provide ANY LIPSTICK for ANYBODY! The owner said I should have asked for it if I wanted any… I shouldn’t have to ask for lipstick when I’m paying to have my makeup done and I did ask for it. The stylist said she would give me some at the end but just walked out without providing any lipstick or touchups (and yes we asked for touchups as well). The makeup that was done on both mothers was not exactly what we wanted and asked to have the eye makeup redone. We provided pictures and talked about the result being an “enhanced natural” look. The second time was done just as poor. We had to try and blend it later by ourselves. Once again nobody stayed for touchups. Also, they texted me (the bride) an hour before walking down the aisle asking for additional payment which I found to be very unprofessional. It turned out to be a mistake on their part (they contacted the wrong party) and we paid in full earlier. NO apologies were made on their part for the stress that it caused. Also beware, I had $100 deposit that was supposed to go towards service but they conveniently forgot to include. Thankfully I remembered as the last person was paying and it was then deducted from my bridesmaids cost. The owner took no responsibility for her employees stating “You had a bad experience with that person, not the salon as a whole”. I expected her to stand by her employees who represent her salon. She also continued to make excuses and putting the blame on me. “You should have asked for lipstick, you should have asked for extra bobbi pins, Its not our fault the makeup was done poorly, you should have asked for it to be redone. That’s not our fault” Reminder- I did ask for all those things. Overall, I was very unhappy with the services that day but just as unhappy with the response I was given when I tried to communicate with the owner. I wish communication was better throughout the experience. To end on a positive note- I got to marry the most wonderful man which nothing can hinder.

day, the hair and makeup artists arrived and were very upset that we weren't ready (Even though they never told us when they would come). They tried to say they didn't have time to do the mother of the brides makeup. The bride had to get upset with them and discuss poor communication on wedding day in order for them to drop the attitude and do the makeup. They were very sweet after the bride confronted them but it was too late. They need better administrative staffing. Actual services, however, were good.

my timeline, Kim had left for another wedding. I felt my trial run was a waste and would have arranged to come earlier had I been told this information. 4 of the hairstyles fell out after the ceremony so I unfortunately would not recommend to a friend.
