I am super bummed to write a negative review for Vault + Vine, but we were disappointed with how our florals turned out for our 10/23/2020 wedding and the subsequent way it was handled by the owner Peicha. We worked with Sarah M., who was sweet... and responsive during planning, and the flowers themselves were pretty, just everything was so SMALL, smaller than I was promised they would be. My inspiration images for the bridal bouquet, I was told, were all larger than "their typical" - so in order to keep with my vision I paid extra to make my bouquet larger. What was delivered day of my wedding was tiny, it was not even the size of what they said was their typical. Because it was a small ceremony (only 12 guests) I only had two floral centerpieces "statement compotes" for the altar, I was told they would be 2' x 2' in size, they were more like 10" x 10" and unfortunately looked sad in the context of the church where we married. I wished there had been more support and dialogue around expectations and what they could deliver, I understood they were dependent on what was in bloom, but I was pretty saddened to feel like I was let down and overcharged on my wedding day. When I reached out to Sarah M., she was apologetic, and acknowledged that she didn't give me the opportunity to decide, and instead made the decision for me to substitute larger flowers for "smaller equally high end stems". Because I had shared images of the context of the church, and that my inspiration images all emphasized larger bouquets, and that we never had a conversation about specific flowers, I unfortunately assumed she understood my priority was scale / size and not specific blooms. Sarah then put me in touch with the owner to discuss getting a partial refund. The owner Peicha proceeded to blame the "stresses of the election" (my wedding was October 23), and COVID for being unable to refund me what I overpaid, as if the global pandemic was only affecting her small business / hadn't affected me / my wedding / everyone on the planet... My husband said "I'm surprised they're struggling since charging full price and delivering half the flowers seems like a good business model." She offered store credit which was a bit of a sting, and then just never followed through on providing me with the credit. I trusted Vault+Vine to deliver florals for an important day in my life and instead felt like I was misled and overcharged, and then again disappointed that they were not more reasonable in trying to make it right. Maybe if it's a larger wedding they are more invested, but I wouldn't recommend the a la carte florals for a small wedding - you just won't be a priority for them.
