BEST there is. My wedding was big and the service we got was top notch! James worked with the venue and staff so well that we didn't worry about a thing. HIRE these guys!!!!! They generated a custom color match for our photo booth background, They had our favorite drinks ready right before pictures were taken after the ceremony. They made sure we got food and ate it.... can't really beat the service.
This review is long overdue! VCI Audio Entertainment made our wedding day back on October 1st run so smoothly and also made it a blast at the end. We met with Vince a couple of weeks before our wedding and got some great advice from him as far as how to make our day run smoother. We didn't have a wedding planner or coordinator, so we greatly appreciate his insight. The day of our wedding, Jordan (I believe) was the DJ and perfectly kept the mood happy and energy high through the music he played from cocktail hour to dinner to the end of the night. We got so wrapped up in the craziness of the day, but he kept us on schedule and would check in with us regarding parts of the evening we wanted to occur. I truly believe our day wouldn't have been as special without VCI!
At first they seemed great but in the end I was highly disappointed with the company in more than one way. Having a good and prepared DJ/MC is a vital part to a wedding and sadly it caused a lot of awkwardness and frustration for us at our wedding. First, upon our second meeting (3 weeks before the wedding) we did not get to meet and discuss the wedding with our DJ because we were told she was sick but she would contact us and we could set up another meeting to discuss things with her. We waited and never got an email. We eventually emailed saying we still had not received anything and gave a quick run down of important things because the wedding was in a few days. Once again never heard anything from them. Upon then seeing the DJ it was not who we were told we were getting (it was a man not a girl) and yet again never met. The man was nice but THE COMPANY DID NOT SET HIM UP FOR SUCCESS. Because we never got to sit down with him, like we did with the person we had instead had a meeting with, important details were not relayed to him.
All the issues I am listing were ALL things discussed in the meeting that was supposed to be with our actual DJ/MC.
1. Our cut music was NOT played. We paid money for a cut song and a dance to specifically go with the cut song. That song was NOT played, instead the entire regular version of the song was played. This was then awkward and a WASTE OF OUR MONEY to have a song cut and choreographed that then got messed up.
2. The venue has fountains. Because of this it is hard to hear (yet again discussed with the person who was not our DJ) so it can be hard to hear so it needs to be turned up loud. I could barely hear the speeches because of this and the videographer could not capture their voices very well also due to this (we had to ask him to turn up the sound after the speeches).
3. The generation dance. Talked about yet again with the person who was not our DJ, we DID NOT want it announced as "married such and such long". We asked that it be said as "just been together such and such long" due to respect for some people that we knew were there. He announced it as married such and such long....
4. We had specifically asked the person that we had met with about curse words because it was a mostly religious crowd. We were told that all curse words are cut out. This was not true.....
5. We had been told that the DJ we were getting was a girl who also came with another girl that worked with her. We were told she would walk around and dismiss our tables. Because we were told that we did not designate anyone to do this. So it quickly got awkward when it was time for dinner to start and people stared at us for a good long while till we realized this other DJ we were given had not been told this detail that had been told to us.
6. Most of the songs that were being played at the beginning of the dancing time were not on our list or even remotely close to the type of songs we had picked. Until we went and asked specifically for some of the songs we had listed they did not get played. Instead songs like "Take off all your cloths" were played (again in the meeting was discussed this was a mostly religious crowd!) we had to make an awkward choice of standing awkwardly on the dance floor or try to "appropriately" dance it off as being a funny song.
Look elsewhere.
VCI did an amazing job with our music at our wedding reception! Thank you so much!!!
Vince and VCI did a fantastic job! From the time we first contacted them to the end of the wedding reception. Vince did an excellent job handling the ever changing multicultural event. He was always available for questions, very professional and very helpful in the planning process. He handled the multiple song requests seamless, unexpected toasts respectfully and keep the event organized and the dance floor full! Thank you so much!! VCI is the BEST DJ's in town.
VCI Audio did an amazing job at our wedding! We hired them as our DJ and as our officiant. Vince did such a great job officiating! He give it the perfect vibe that we were wanting! He also was our DJ, with the help of another lady, and they both were beyond perfect! They kept us on schedule and made sure everything ran smoothly! I would definitely recommend Vince for anyone looking for a DJ or officiant!
We cannot even begin to say how amazing Vince and VCI is! Vince was so great to work with - he helped us coordinate our timeline, had great ideas, and made choosing songs easy. He did a great job about keeping the party going, and even with a last minute change with set up, he did not disappoint! He was engaged with our guests, and always checking in to see how we were doing. We highly recommend VCI - you will not be disappointed!
Vince at VCI was our DJ and he did an amazing job! Not only did he play great music to get everyone dancing he acted as a wedding coordinator to keep the day running smoothly. Would highly recommend him!
Vince & Dawn were amazing to work with. Vince has many years of experience and helped our Wedding Day go by so smoothly. His playlists were great and his timing was right on. He listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make sure our night was perfect. We also used Vince's lighting, which made our already beautiful venue even more perfect. Can't say enough good things about VCI - We highly recommend them for any DJ or lighting needs!!!
We contacted VCI after seeing them at a wedding show and immediately knew we were in good hands! Vince met with us twice before the wedding - once to sign the contract and a second time right before the date. He was knowledgeable and he definitely loves his job! Their website lets you choose all your "special" songs, which was super convenient.
Our wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to Vince's communication with our other vendors and announcements to our guest! The "party" portion of our wedding was more than I could have ever dreamed of - almost all of our guests were on the dancefloor, even Grandma!
Everything could not have gone more perfect, thanks to VCI. I have had multiple friends say that it was by far their favorite wedding because of the music and dancing.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
Vince did a fabulous job as the officiant and DJ at our wedding, he kept things moving in a great way. Helped us coordinate timing of things and helped keep us on time!
Vince at VCI Audio was great at our first meeting, but then it kind of went downhill after we booked with them. We changed our mind on a few of our songs a few weeks before the wedding (including our first dance song). Our assigned DJ, Eric, did a great job, but apparently there was not much communication between Vince and Amber (whom I emailed about the song changes we had made) and Eric, because he apparently had heard nothing about the changes. He still had the same copy of songs from about a month before the wedding. There's nothing like being in the middle of dinner and hearing your first dance song being played...
I emailed Amber after our wedding about the mis-communication, so other brides will hopefully avoid the same issues. They responded with the generic apology and some spiel about "How busy they are" and "Amber just got back from a two-week vacation." I understand that wedding season is a very busy time of year, but wedding PROFESSIONALS should know how to stay organized. It was just unfortunate that it was my wedding that ended up getting the shaft on their organization issues.
Overall, would I recommend them? Definitely not, just on the off-chance that these issues are a regular thing for them.
Kept the party going, and did everything I asked
Vince was great. he was able to keep the flow of the ceremony and reception so everyone was on the dance floor and the bride and grooms drinks were always full. Not only did he play awesome music but he was aware of the feel of the crowd and always made sure the groom and i had everything we needed either food or drinks. I did not have to worry about directing him at all.
Vince made our day really fun and enjoyable!
Vince was very nice and easy to work with. Very helpful with the planning phase. Did a great job at the wedding except off on some of the ques. For example, the grand entrance did not turn out like we had planned and the first dance wasn't exactly as planned. Things were all a bit rushed. But given the circumstances of less people attending than planned and people leaving early, I think he did a good job of trying to keep the crowd entertained.
Best DJ in the Treasure Valley! Vince was the DJ at my wedding and it was so fun. He kept things rolling and lively throughout the night. I have seen him and his staff do other weddings and there is a clear difference between VCI and other dj services. I highly recommend...the DJ can make all the difference in a wedding.
Vince did a great job. We enjoyed the music and he did a good job as an emcee for the event. He played a good mix and stayed with what we wanted and had some good tips for the flow of the wedding.
Everyone I asked referred me to VCI Audio when I was looking around, and I eventually gave in and contacted them. How did I like them? Let's just say I gave them my $200 deposit after only talking to him for 15 minutes. It was one of the best decisions I made in regards to the wedding.
We met at his house to discuss the music beforehand. The head guy was there (Vince) and also the DJ who was actually going to be at my wedding (they employ several DJs). He sat down with me and went over every moment we would need a song, from the pre-ceremony music to the last song of the night. He was incredibly organized, and let me listen to a list of "popular songs for X" for whatever event I didn't already have a song picked out for (like, for example, the bouquet toss). The day-of DJ, who had a day job, actually used his lunch hour to come and meet with me. As a 9-5 worker myself, I know how precious that lunch hour can be somedays, and it really blew me away that he was willing to do that.
The day of the wedding, I was even more impressed. It was hot outside, and our pastor actually passed out during the ceremony. After we made sure he was ok, Troy immediately came up and let us know he was ordained and could finish the ceremony if needed. Holy crap, these guys think ahead! And that is what you really want in a DJ, someone who will come prepared. Luckily the pastor made it through, but the thought going through my head at that moment was "You are worth every penny I spent", and we hadn't even reached the reception yet!
Troy was, as you may have guessed, excellent during the reception. I didn't really have a guest list full of "boogey-down on the dance floor" people, but he was able to read the atmosphere (as every good DJ should be able to do), and by the end of the night my dance floor was full. People kept coming up to me and telling me how much they loved the DJ.
So you really can't go wrong with these guys. From the moment you secure your date, they will take care of you. They are experienced and, above all, EXTREMELY nice and awesome to work with.
We had a very small wedding which may be difficult to keep people on the dance floor but Vince did a wonderful job. Be prepared with your request list WELL in advance of your wedding day!
Vince was so easy to work with (and by far, the un-cheesiest DJ we met) and helped keep the the beat of our schedule the entire night. He was so great in coordinating and working with our vendors the night of the wedding to make sure the wedding went flawlessly.
Detail-oriented, he made sure to hammer out all of the details for the wedding schedule we wanted during our final meeting before the wedding.
You get so wrapped up in the whole event that it was great to have someone directing (in a great, non-obtrusive way) our schedule that by the end of the night, you realize you actually got through every part of the night!
Did a great job at feeling the crowd and playing goo music. Kept right on track of the timeline. Great to work with.
Vince was incredible! Our original DJ cancelled on us 3 weeks before our wedding. Vince stepped up and became our officiant. He is very down to earth and easy & fun to work with. Guests at our reception said he made a point to try to stop at every table and say hello. I know that DJ services are Vince's first business, so I would HIGHLY recommend him for both!
