the biggest perks was the bridal and groom suites for getting ready. The spaces are perfect for pre-wedding activities like hair and makeup, getting ready, etc. The catering sister company, Social Tap, was amazing as well. We got so many compliments on the food, especially the chimichurri steak, charcuterie and pulled pork wonton appetizer!

ng. Venue 808 is contracted to have their food catered with Social Tap, the bar across the street. After my first tour it was suggested to go over and have a taste of the food. I had one of the best burgers and we decided we would have burgers at the wedding. The whole team (Desiree, Chad and Brant) had always responded quickly and answered our questions clearly. Everything had went so well the day of the wedding. The team was polite and very helpful when asked. Having my wedding there was almost surreal.

The views at Venue 808 are absolutely insane and are matched by the incredible access to the Downtown/Gaslamp area in San Diego. We even had our after party across the street at Social Tap which was amazing for all our guests. Honestly, I plan on encouraging anyone I know in San Diego to have their wedding at Venue 808 so I can go again as a guest.

Bridal/Groom Suite, amazing!! They also have a speak easy that made photos look one of a kind and modern. The decor is also what made us choose this venue. How can you not love the olive trees, lighting and the look of it. Non traditional and wowed our guests the min they walked in. Truly SD’s hidden gem. Social Tap catering is great too! Food was tasty and generous. Both the Venue and Catering staff is attentive to our needs and questions. No regrets choosing this venue for our big day.

It’s also perfectly set up so that your wedding will flow seamlessly from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner and dancing without a big effort to turn over the space or inconvenience your guests. Having our ceremony in the chapel and moving right into cocktail hour by the bar was probably one of the smoothest transitions I’ve experienced at a wedding. The cocktail hour space could not have been better with ample seating which is hard to find at most venues. I think one of our favorite parts was the big reveal of our reception area when they pulled back the curtains for guests to see all the tables perfectly set and waiting for them. It was definitely an “Oh wow!” moment! For our wedding, we decided to activate the speakeasy and handed our special tokens for our guests to use to enter - we received so many compliments about the fun experience! Our guests loved how the speakeasy tasting was personalized based on their tastes and they also learned a lot about the types of liquor they were drinking from the extremely knowledgeable bartender. Overall, our guests could not stop talking about how cool the space was and we were so glad that we got to get married in such a unique spot! The central location is extremely convenient if you’re hosting out of town guests as the venue is within walking distance to a number of hotels of all price ranges - just be sure to check the Padres schedule as the area can get congested if there are any baseball games or events happening across the way at Petco Park

a unique space and will make all your celebration dreams come true. The bridal suite was stunning - modern decor and plenty of natural light. The groom's suite was also fabulous - comfy furniture and lots of space. We opted to have our ceremony between the olive trees and leave the school house/chapel closed for most of the party - we used it for some alone time during cocktail hour and bridal party socializing after the first look. Highly recommend! We had cocktail hour near the main bar, dinner at the built in tables, and dancing between the trees! The movement from one part of the celebration to another was flawless. By the time cocktail hour was winding down, the whole ceremony area had been transformed for dinner and dancing. We also had another bar closer to the dance floor to make sure lines didn't form - and they didn't! Outstanding service! While the unique beauty of this venue is impossible to ignore, the behind the scenes dedication cannot go unmentioned. The prices are reasonable (especially with its STELLAR location), the included services are solid (we were able to leave items at the venue during rehearsal because there was not an event/the air conditioning is fabulous/all the facilities are immaculate), and the staff is the best I've experienced. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing! Social Tap does their catering. Here is my review on Social Tap Catering: Hire them.... NOW! The attention to detail, high quality, outstanding service, and overall tastiness of Social Tap cannot be countered! Food and drinks were our number one priority for our wedding celebration. We went with four tray passed apps: buffalo chicken sliders, egg rolls, ahi tuna cones, and teriyaki chicken skewers. For dinner, we skipped the salad and served plated short rib and chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables for the meat eaters. For the vegans, we had a ratatouille over brown rice. We received compliments all night about the delicious food and OUTSTANDING servers. They were enjoying the celebration just as much as the guests, and it created such a loving, joyful environment. Milk and cookies were displayed for dessert and several guests admitted to eating more than they should have... they were just too delicious! We even had our rehearsal dinner at their brick and mortar! The taco bar was divine, and chips with salsa/guac were on the tables for us when we arrived. They reserved the enclosed patio for us, and even with a Padres vs Dodgers game going on, we were treated like royalty. We felt heard, respected, and supported through the entire process! I will forever recommend Social Tap and celebrate the remarkable experience we had with Brant and his team! THANK YOU!

nd ensured we had an amazing night. I loved how big the space was even with only 65 people; we had plenty room to spread out and had separate spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and dancing. Social Tap was required for catering, but the food they served was incredible and guests said it was some of the best food they have had at a wedding. Thank you for making our day so special!
