Incredible food & impeccable service, right from the beginning! Every time. I am a wedding designer & planner, and Verde's has been the caterer for 90% of my brides. Every time I introduce my couples, there is no turning around or swaying them. The food is consistently delicious, the service is impeccable down to the smallest detail. From the first initial email with Alanna, Verde's catering director, to the tasting with Chef Cody where they go over their entire catering menu, to the planning emails, and down to the day-of my clients weddings, Verde's does NOT disappoint!

Verdes did an awesome job! They worked with us on the menu and prepared mac & cheese balls as an appetizer which wasn't even on the catering menu... they were delicious! They were affordable very professional. We received so many compliments on how great the food tasted! Thank You!

Yummy food and great service

Cody, Alanna, and team, thank you for taking a chance on our concept and creating something fabulous! The food was exquisite, and we got nothing but compliments on it. You rock! We will be back for dinner sometime soon. We hired Verdes for our April 2022 wedding at Star Hill Ranch. We are mostly vegetarian but I am from Texas, so we wanted to create a totally vegetarian menu that still highlighted Texan and Mexican cuisine, and Verdes did not disappoint! They worked with us on multiple options during our tasting, and everybody mentioned they enjoyed the food the day-of. The churro bar at the end of the night was perfect.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while now. My husband and I were married this past March 19, 2022 and Verdes Parilla/Bliss Catering catered our wedding. From the very beginning Cody and Alana were so helpful. Cody brought us in for a free tasting, and was very helpful in offering us advice on what really matters in a wedding dinner, those things that we didn’t need to spend extra money on, and how to expedite getting guests through a buffet line. The Mexican food was super tasty, but when we mentioned that we are trying to choose between Mexican and Texas BBQ they let us know about their catering company called Bliss that serves BBQ. We looked at a couple other places just to have some options, but ended coming back to Verdes/Bliss because they were so genuine in dealing with us, offered the free tasting dinner (plus we came back for some free BBQ to taste), and we could tell they were going to be able to handle our difficult venue. As a side note, our venue was an outdoor ranch that did not have a kitchen, oven, or freezer, so it required a lot of extra effort on the part of a caterer. Alana was so helpful and communicative the entire time we were planning our menu and went back and forth on a number of iterations of the contract. They were very accommodating when dealing with our bar tenders too and bringing items they needed. On the day of the wedding, I was blown away by their professionalism. Everything was set up perfectly and ran so smoothly and on time. And the food was AMAZING! It was a perfect fusion of Texas BBQ and Mexican. So many guests told us afterward how good the food was, and my brother still raves about their nacho bar. I would definitely go with Bliss again for another event, and highly recommend them to anyone for any event!

We used Verdes for catering/bartending for our wedding and our expectations were exceeded! All communication with Alanna was easy and timely. We did a tasting to help us decide on our menu which was awesome. Cody was so helpful and honest with us. The passed appetizers and dinner menu that we went with was spot-on. We received soooo many compliments on our food! Highly recommend using Verdes for your wedding!

Not only were they the most affordable option, we also got about 100 compliments on our food the night of our wedding. Alanna knows what she is doing! Her staff was professional, timely, and very experienced. The food was exceptional. HIGHLY recommend. Even my extremely picky and always complaining mother loved them! That's the real test.

Verde’s catered my wedding and did an incredible job! The service from the staff was great (friendly smiles, delivered our dinner and apps to our table, checked to make sure we had everything we needed, and even packed us a to go bag with champagne!) The food was DELICIOUS and I received so many compliments from guests. I would highly recommend them!

We used Verdes to cater our wedding and they did an awesome job! They gave us an awesome tasting and made planning really easy. Verdes was also extremely understanding when we had to deal with rescheduling due to COVID. The food for the event was great and we had so many compliments on the bacon wrapped quail and spaghetti squash appetizers. Plus the deserts were huge hits (blueberry bread pudding & patron cheesecake). They also did a late night chicken and waffles snack which was a big hit! When we were trying catering vendors, we didn't expect that the food we liked best would also be at the best price. But that was the case for Verdes! Their unique food style wowed us from the moment we tried it and they delivered on our wedding day. We still have guests reminding us that "that was the best chicken we've ever had!". Alanna and her staff were very professional and they worked with us to provide a dining experience for all preferences.

I cannot say enough about Verdes!!! They catered both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception for our son's wedding this past weekend in Dripping Springs and (I do realize I am biased) it was the best food I have ever had at any wedding!!! Both menus were completely different, but every single dish was 5 star delicious...we had people wanting recipes for the appetizers! You absolutely must have the Blueberry Bread Pudding with Whiskey Cream Sauce for dessert! Alana was a pleasure to work with and her staff took care of every detail. I would absolutely use them again if we ever need a caterer in Texas!

Verdes Catering was absolutely wonderful to work with! I hired Verdes for our rehearsal dinner at the Hawk Shadow Winery and the wedding reception at a private residence. Both nights, the food was amazing!! One guest commented that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding reception. I enjoyed working with Alanna. She was very professional throughout all stages, from the planning, handling of all rental equipment, and creating a menu selection. Both nights, the wait staff were amazing, and it was such a pleasure to work with them! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

The entire team at Verde's was amazing throughout our 1.5 year engagement. From the very start, Alanna was so patient with my questions and helpful at recommending dishes, flatware or linens for the event. The food was DELICIOUS! We had a lot of people come up to us at the wedding and after remarking on how good the food was, totally unprompted. Of all the different caterers we tried, Verde's was the most affordable and tasted the best. I would highly recommend them for your wedding or next event!

Alanna and her crew were incredible to work with. Very professional, easy to work with and very accommodating. I was the wedding planner for the wedding that they catered and the food was unbelievable good! This wedding was outdoors and they came prepared. I highly recommend this caterer! Oh, and you have to taste their watermelon margaritas! FABULOUS!

Food was an important part of our wedding day as my husband is a foodie, and wanted the best food for our wedding. Cue in Verdes. From the moment we tasted their food we were HOOKED. The food is just amazing, and not just for the tasting, but our day of food was SOOOOOOOO DELIECIOUS. We had guests come up to us telling us they hadn't had food that good at a wedding before! Not only is the food amazing, but Alanna is a dream to work with. She made every logistical worry of mine be eased and made the day an absolute dream. The staff was exceptional ensuring all our guests were happy and fed, and taking care of my hubbs and I and our amazing BP! We just love Verdes and cannot rave enough about them!

They came highly recommended by our day of coordinator and they did not disappoint. Alanna was a pleasure to work with and the food was AMAZING. We still have our guests reminding us of how delicious the food was. From the tasting to the final clean up, the staff was great. The pricing includes total service...they set all the place settings for the reception and helped consolidate all of the table decor at the end of the night. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND their food and service!!

Verde's catered my daughter's rehearsal dinner and wedding...and the food was just fantastic! Watching people go back for seconds (and thirds) was a delight to see! Alanna was awesome to work with and her team were just wonderful.

Verde's did food and bartending for our rehearsal dinner, and they did appetizers and busing for our wedding. They were wonderful all around! We got so many compliments on their food for both events, and they were great to work with.

We have received so many compliments about the food at our daughters wedding - it was so good! We booked a year in advance by scheduling a tasting and were presented with so many delicious choices. Cody and Alanna were great to work with throughout the process. They also provided the signature drink at the reception - a lavender mint mojito which was amazing. They worked with dietary restrictions, a lower cost kids meal, and provided staff for serving, cake cutting and clean up. We didn't have to worry about anything. Thank you!

Verde’s catered our rehearsal dinner. Cody and Alanna were so great to work with! When we went for our tasting, they brought out tons of food for us to taste! I guess this is the advantage of doing a tasting with a restaurant that is already cooking food for patrons rather than an independent caterer where you need to request specific dishes and get to try a smaller variety of things. We had the spaghetti squash cakes and queso verde as our appetizer, the chicken and pork as our entrees, and the grilled squash and cilantro lime rice as our sides. They were all delicious! We had chocolate tres leches cake for dessert, which was a little dry, but that’s ok, the rest of the food was fantastic. They were also very accomodating when I had to add alcohol to my order the morning of the rehearsal dinner … somehow it had been overlooked! And they made a last minute change to the credit card I charged to help me out with an issue I was having, even at their own expense! I was so appreciative. The food helped set the tone for a fun and festive rehearsal dinner to kick off our wedding weekend, and I was so glad I hired them!

Don't let the name fool you, Verdes can cater and type of food you are looking for not just Mexican food! My now husband was set on BBQ and let me tell you, Verdes delivered the best BBQ we could have imagined. It was not your typical backyard BBQ it was upscale and so delicious, they also gave us great deals on silverware and dishes! Their staff was on top of it and so sweet to all of our guest. We had so many compliments on how delicious everything was from all of our guest. Verdes also made "Pre-game" food for the wedding parties and it was to die for! We definitely made the perfect choice with Verdes.

We used Verdes for both our wedding rehearsal dinner (BBQ) and our wedding reception catering over Memorial weekend at The Creek Haus in Dripping Springs. We could not have been happier with both the food and the service. Alanna and Cody are great to work with and very accommodating to your individual event needs. Also, the team out there on the floor the two days were fantastic! We had so many compliments on how good the food was and we made sure we had time to sit down during the reception to eat ourselves because we knew how good it was going to be and didn't want to miss out. The plates they left in our cottage for after the wedding were also much appreciated. Definitely, recommend them for catering or just a meal at their restaurant... we know we certainly will be back to eat the next time we are craving our wedding meal. Thanks for everything, Verdes!

Verde's catered our wedding on June 10th, 2017. We could not be happier with our experience! Alanna and Krista were so fun, experienced and professional. The entire staff was top notch! Their food is phenomenal as well. Everything we tried at our tasting was so good, it was had to decide what to serve! We chose creamy pablano chicken and honey glazed pork tenderloin. Guests continue to rave about both!

Bottom line: AMAZING catering service! 100% recommend for delicious food and professional, family oriented service :) Alanna and her husband (the head chef!) were amazing from the start to the finish of my wedding. We first heard about Verde’s at the open house for our venue, the Greenhouse at Driftwood (also amazing) and their appetizers were INSANELY delicious. My now husband was FULL when we left because he kept going back for more! We explored our options with other caterers, but for the presentation, taste, and price, Verde’s blew other caterers out of the water. They offer tastings at their restaurant and EVERYTHING, literally everything is so good that you will have a hard time deciding what to choose. Not to mention the drinks. You’ll leave full and perhaps a little overwhelmed at the great choices of entrees and sides. I also loved the personal connection that Alanna strives to have with her clients. She was happy to adjust any details on the invoice as they came up, and was very responsive to any calls or emails, even when she was super busy on jobs. She offered advice when I needed it, and was just on it all the time. Get this: AT THE WEDDING when some of the liquor went out SHE WENT AND GOT MORE. Talk about a LIFE. SAVER!!!! BEST OF ALL, Verde’s provided amazing staff who are willing to help you out in any way that they know how. They set up the tables, tablecloths, place settings, AND even some decorations just to help out. I could not have asked for better service. After the wedding MANY of my guests commented on house DELICIOUS the food was! I would recommend Verde’s to any and all of my friends getting married in Central Texas and I plan to visit their restaurant anytime I head back into town!!! Bottom line: delicious food, amazing owners, great service staff, and unbeatable prices. You can’t get better than this! I would choose them again and again - and if you do you will not regret it.

The Verdes crew went above and beyond for our wedding. We did a buffet service for the main course and everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. As soon as the Groom and I sat down for dinner we were greeted with two loaded plates and drinks. Our special request "mac and cheese bar" was everything we imagined. We decided to buy our own disposable table ware instead of renting and Verdes still took the time to set all of the tables for us! They were flexible and accommodating with payments, and responsive to all our questions throughout the entire process. It was a pleasure working with Alanna!

Alanna and Cody were great to work with! The food and service at my wedding was awesome! People complimented on the food all night! They also did a late night breakfast taco snack that was a huge hit! Great choice! Thank you Verdes!

Oh my if you are reading this review STOP looking for other food vendors you have found the one! Verdes food is AMAZING! They went above and beyond with everything. I still get text messages telling me how amazing the food was at our wedding and who catered the event. Not only did they cater my wedding they also help with setting up before with all the chairs at the ceremony, taking down chairs after, and cleaning up the venue at the end of the night. They do it all! We are so happy how everything turned out and we are thankful for everything they did for us!

I was all set up to use Verde's as my catering company for my wedding before their 2nd location closed. I was trying to speak to their event coordinator after weeks of going back and forth over details on our contract. Yesterday she emailed me that as of November 14th they closed down. Back to the drawing board...

Verdes did an absolutely phenomenal job catering our wedding. Their food is hands down, the most amazing thing I've ever tasted. Our guests raved about the food. They were very professional and helped in any way that they could. At the end of the night they sent us off with a very large portion of food for later in the night, as well as boxed up any leftovers, which we ate for days after the wedding. Definitely recommend to anyone!

We were recommended to do a tasting with Verdes for our wedding catering and I am so glad we did. The food was wonderful, and the staff were so helpful. Chef Cody gave so many great suggestions and was willing to work within the type of food we wanted, and accommodating to different diets and requests. Krista was so great in helping us decide how much to order, planning the menu, and coordinating our dishware and linen rentals. Everyone was so impressed with how delicious the food was, and the service was excellent - professional and thorough, thinking of everything. We had the good fortune of selecting Verde’s to cater our daughter’s wedding at Vista West Ranch last month. Alanna and Chef Cody went above and beyond to win our business and certainly delivered on their promises. They did not try to over sell and were quite accurate on their catering recommendations. Their team was very professional, responsive, flexible and highly client oriented. Verde’s provided scrumptious hors d'oeuvres for the cocktail hour and an exceptional BBQ selection with non-traditional sides. All of which, we know, our guests thoroughly enjoyed, because most told us so. In short, the food was phenomenal. The service was excellent. Alanna and Chef Cody were genuine pleasures to work with. We can’t say enough positive things about Verde’s. From 1 to10, we believe they are an 11 and would use them again in a heartbeat. They helped make a special day truly memorable. Verde's can't be beat. As a food lover, providing great food at our wedding was a high priority. We attended tastings galore before our wedding to find the best food for our big day. We were not satisfied with the quality of the food served by these other caterers. We finally stumbled upon Verde's and enjoyed a tasting with Cody, who was super friendly and knowledgeable and let us try a variety of options. We ended up selecting the most popular menu option--chicken palomino, glazed pork, poblano mashed potatoes, fire-roasted corn, and salad along with the queso and squash bites during cocktail hour and couldn't have been more pleased. EVERYONE (and we had quite a few "foodies") raved about our dinner selection; many of our guests tout that we had the best wedding food they've ever tasted. Some of our guests even visited the restaurant the very next week after our wedding! The service was pleasing as well. Our food beat us to the table and one of the waiters checked-in often to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't recommend Verde's enough and can't imagine the disappointment I'd incur if I would not have hired Verde's and then tasted their delicous food at someone else's event. Catering decisions will be a no-brainer in the future!

My husband and I went to get a tasting done at Verdes and we wanted to have them cater at our wedding but unfortunately they were not within our budget. We thought their food was delicious so we decided to have our rehearsal dinner here. I called them 5 days before our event and I spoke with the manager and luckily they were available for Friday night. They booked us a private room and gave us a catered set menu. The staff was great and everyone loved the food. The place is a bit far but it's worth it. Their food and desserts were amazing. We also ordered their tres leches cake for our wedding!

Verde's was our first choice and tasting and I wish we wouldn't have even wasted our time getting options from other caterers in Austin! Not only were they the most economical option, but delicious! They treated us to a wonderful tasting, and had us try options I would've never ordered myself off the menu. The squash cakes are to die for! Everyone raved about the food and I didn't hear of any complaints about the buffet service other than we ran out of the kid's food. Although we did have close to 20 at the reception! Also, the catering manager showed up late (she was 8 months pregnant) and a note she had taken at our walk through about the champagne only being used for the toast was overlooked. We almost ran out of it at cocktail hour! Finally, I caught one of the bartenders making shots with the tequila we provided for the margarita machines. Wasn't too happy about that, but we still came home with some. Despite that, I was still happy with the food even though it was hard to eat with all of the nerves and excitement going on that day! The food we took home was delicious still the next day.

I've mentioned this in some other reviews, but I'll say it again. There are 2 things guests will always remember: food and music. Our DJ was awesome, but our food....goodness our food was amazing. Everyone of our guests, even now 2 months after the wedding, have raved on our delicious our food was--and I have to agree. It was fantastic. Alanna was so patient with me, always answered to my emails quickly, and answered my millions of questions without hesitation. They were super accommodating throughout this entire process and for the cost compared to the quality of everything we received... we were blown away. We met with several other caterers and I was very discouraged with what some of these caterers were charging. Knowing I was going to have to spend that much money on something that I didn't really want was very overwhelming. But we happened to accidently run across Verde's per a random recommendation and we didn't think twice since then. Do yourself a favor, contact Verde's and treat yourself and your guests to fantastic food and service.

Tough we love having dinner at Verdes we had not really considered them wedding caterers.....gosh we were proved wrong! Alanna the Catering Coordinator was very professional, efficient, passionate and anticipated our needs throughout the entire experience. She was prompt when answering emails and phone calls. Would call anytime she had a question or suggestion. The head chef, Cody, met with us in addition to Alanna to understand what type of experience we were looking for our guests to have and better understand our likes and dislikes in order to come up with a menu that really showed our heritage and well....was Awesome! Naturally we talked budget before they gave us menu ideas to make sure we were being realistic and they were very reasonable. Believe me....we had met with 3 other caterers and done tastings. Nothing compared to the combination of the quality of food and the price. You can find something cheaper out there tough it wouldn't make the quality and crazy tastiness of Cody's food, I promise you! Alanna was also kind enough to come out and walk the venue with us and our wedding coordinator to make sure we were all on the same page. At the wedding the staff looked professional smiled at all the guests and the only potentially downfall was that the staff cleared off plates too quick. We had chocolate braised short ribs (sounds strange I know and thought the same) and they were perfect.....fell off the one, had the best flavor. Ten our fish was a potato encrusted red fish in a piccata sauce with the biggest capers I have ever seen. My sister was calling them little bursts of flavor! Seriously the food was out of this world. In addition to my guests the vendors at our wedding who dined all came up to me and told me that hands down it was the best wedding meal they had ever had. My dad is a chef and tough he lives out of state I wanted to incorporate something of his in the meal. After talking with Cody and Alanna we came to the conclusion that my father would make meatballs and sauce and they would provide the pasta. It was so cool of the m to work with us on this. Our dinner was served family style and Verdes also ordered all of the serving plates, dinner plates, glassware and linen for us. It was a major convenience and the same pricing as if we would have done it ourselves. Just for the record I am not one to write reviews but to me there are two things people remember from a wedding and that is the music and food. No doubt that the food was a hit and guests are still calling me to see if I can get the short ribs and fish recipe for them! I haven't asked yet but don't blame them if they don't give it up! Almost forgot......we did late night breakfast tacos and man not only were they a great touch to a long night of drinking and dancing but were the best breakfast tacos I have had....I have had a lot of them herein austin! Tis was the best part of my wedding and I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Verdes for making our wedding a hit, I loved working with you all!

Verdes Mexican Parrilla at Camp Lucy on 7/1/2012 Services Provided: Bartending We were originally looking at Verdes to do some appetizers and bartending for our wedding. We decided to go in a different direction for the catering, but still used Verdes for our bartending. We communicated with the owner Joel, who gave us very responsive and excellent service despite the fact that he was making little to no profit from the bartending services. We deeply appreciated all the effort that Joel and Alanna put forth to make our wedding perfect. The two bartenders that were at our wedding did a fabulous job. They were very friendly and professional, and came up to us throughout the night to refill our glasses and make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend Verdes for bartending, and although we did not use their catering, we have heard their food is wonderful and their restaurant is a unique food/music venue perched in the Hill Country.
