Vicky's expertise for creating order out of chaos comes from her years of experience as an owner/operator of three successful restaurants.
For the past 9 years, she has led the growth for the Events Department at the Hemingway Home & Museum, a top destination wedding venue in the Florida Keys. As their lead wedding planner, Vicky has masterminded a myriad of weddings ranging from casual to opulent and everything in between. She retired from that position earlier in 2022 to pursue her career as a wedding planner solely on her own to be able to work with couples at all wedding venues in Key West and the Florida Keys.

The BEST!!!!!! Like ever! Vicky and Melanie made the entire wedding planning process fun and easy! And they made all of the visions and dreams in our heads come to life in a wedding that surpassed anything we ever could have imagined! They are so sweet and planning this wedding with these women at the helm, other than marrying my husband, was the best and easiest decision I have ever made! Vicky and her team were a huge part of why my wedding was such a success and we are SO thankful that we hired her!! Planning a destination wedding is not for the faint of heart, but Vicky was so helpful with her suggestions and knowledge of Key West and all of the vendors in the area. She was professional and responsive, answered all of my questions and gave great recommendations. She was also especially helpful with wrangling all of my vendors who were on island time. Everyone prepared me by saying "Things will go wrong at your wedding day, but just go with the flow," but I can honestly say that the wedding day truly could not have gone more perfectly thanks to Vicky and Melanie. I had a lot of DIY decor and Vicky made sure that all of my details were well-executed, kept our vendors on schedule, and kept the day stress-free for my husband and me. Our guests raved about how perfect everything was and how efficiently the event was run. Our wedding was truly the night of our dreams and the best day of our lives. 10/10 recommend Vicky Furman Events!

My husband I did a destination elopement in Key West. We only left 90 days for the planning and all it took was one call to Vicky. Vicky is a wonderful communicator and knows the right questions to ask to bring your vision out of you and into reality. Her network of vendors are top notch and exceeded all our expectations. Melanie Kammerer officiated our wedding and immediately calmed our nerves at the alter with her warm smile and energy. Even though this was an elopement, Vicky treated us like it was a million dollar wedding. We would highly recommend her to everyone.
Vicky and her assistant Melanie were absolutely AMAZING. They knew exactly what we were looking for when it came to selecting vendors and they were a huge factor in putting on our wedding. Everything turned out perfectly!
I literally wouldn’t have HAD a wedding without Vicky and Melanie! They were on top of EVERYTHING and I hardly had to do anything. Everything was beautiful, they understood what I wanted and liked, and they kept me on track. She went above and beyond accommodating my diet and extra stuff I wanted to include in the wedding weekend. ie. my women’s circle for example :) I can’t thank them enough and I will never forget them and how perfect my wedding weekend was. I am so grateful.
Perfection is the perfect word to describe Vicky Furman Events. Throughout planning Vicky remained calm and always on top of things. I knew she had everything under control. If I could give Vicky and team 10 stars I would.
I was looking to plan a destination wedding in Key West that was small (60/70 people) but also elaborate. My fiancée (now husband 😀) and I had fallen in love with Key West over the years and wanted to share the history, love and magic that is KW with those closest to us.
As someone who works way too much and hasn’t necessarily put together any “dream vision wedding boards,” Vicky held my hand from start to finish. From budgeting, to coordinating and providing options for everything from catering, to DJ, grooms dinner, photographer, to the finer details, I really can’t speak high enough volumes about the work Vicky and her team put into each wedding. They are professionals through and through.
I would recommend Vicky and her team to any future brides looking for their dream wedding. Even if the wedding is small, there’s still SOOOOOO MUCH that goes into it. Vicky kept us on track and delivered the best party I’ll ever attend. I can’t say thank you enough to her and her team or recommend her any higher to anyone out there looking.
Few pieces of advice for any future brides:
1) If you’re looking to do a destination, NO QUESTION, get a coordinator. I don’t care how well you know the “destination,” you need someone who knows the vendor network.
— out of all the investments into this wedding I made, this one was absolutely the most valuable.
2) Make sure your coordinator is well connected into the vendor ecosystem and can provide you options that meet your price points based on your needs and wants. This person should be able to hear your vision and pivot accordingly based on what’s valuable to your experience and said price points.
— example: a $1000 cake wasn’t for me. So we did cupcake sushi instead (which was candidly a HUGE hit) my family is still talking about it 3 weeks later. And was a 1/4 of the price point.
3) Find someone who makes your experience FUN, and as stress free as it can be. Can’t reiterate this one enough.
4) Find someone well organized, down to the finest detail, and has strong communication skills.
I never wondered if Vicky forgot about me despite us starting the planning process early into the engagement. She was always on top of things, and despite working on multiple weddings at once, she never once made me feel like I was just another wedding, or that I was annoying her with random questions. She was quick to return texts, emails, and never left me hanging once during the planning process.
5) Find someone you can trust & who will complete the job.
When we arrived at the venue wedding day, everything was even better than I could have even dreamed for. My family wasn’t running around searching for things, everything was out and ready to go. Sounds small, but the stress this takes off in those moments is priceless.
Vicky & team stayed with us through the very end of the wedding and ensured all our belongings, cards, marriage license, etc. were taken care of and returned to our hotel. Sounds minor, but you'll be so busy during the wedding, it’s one of those things that are easily over looked but so so appreciated reflecting back.
To conclude: If you’re looking for an A player for your wedding, there’s no where else I would ever recommend besides this team and will be thankful forever for giving us a night we’ll never forget.
Our wedding and reception under Vicky’s expertise was flawless! She “ knocked it out of the park”. I think every guest complimented us on how beautiful and well run it all was. We honestly could not have chosen a better planner than Vicky. She is extremely responsive via a text or e-mail any time of the day or night and gets the task done immediately. At both the Church and reception both she and her team watched everyone like a hawk and was there if anything was needed. We will truly miss working with her, she is just a wonderful professional.
Vicky and Jackie were a dream to work with!!! They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Vicky jumped into action from our first conversation connecting us with the best people and making our vision come to life Vicky knows everyone in Key West and it made it so special to have vendors that are all friends and love to work together to make weddings magical. It even rained on our day and not one person got wet and we were blissfully unaware of the rain because Jackie jumped into action. Jackie even joined us post-reception on our bar crawl to make sure everything went smoothly, which was so above and beyond our expectations! Vicky and her team were absolutely amazing throughout our entire wedding process! From the moment we met her, she was always a step ahead of us making sure we were never behind in our planning! Every text and call we made to her was never a bother and always answered immediately. With us being so far away and having this be a destination wedding, we never felt out of control. They were always ahead of the game and made sure we did not miss one thing. Seriously could not have done it without her and Melanie!! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and so much we owe to the both of them. Not having to stress the little things on our special day and actually just enjoy our wedding was the best feeling. Could not recommend them more!!
When I say that hiring Vicky was the best decision I ever made for my destination wedding in Key West, I mean it wholeheartedly! I wish it was possible to give her more than 5 stars.
Vicky is so incredibly detail oriented, she has such a great eye for all things beautiful, and she shouldered all of the burden of planning and organizing so I could just enjoy the time leading up to our wedding.
Her assistant, Karolina, was equally as enjoyable to work with. We had our bridal party and our guests compliment how well they executed our wedding and what a joy they both were to work with.
If there's only one thing that matters when you plan for a wedding in Key West, I definitely think it's hiring Vicky!

Vicky Furman is outstanding at what she does. I will be the first to admit that I am a perfectionist, a type A personality, and a very tough critic. When I called Vicky to inquire if she could help me plan my wedding, she immediately calmed my anxiety. She is extremely professional, timely, and organized. She also has a great eye when it comes to decor/aesthetics. I am a very indecisive person, and Vicky helped me make decisions by being direct and giving her honest input, while still allowing me to “be me.”
Vicky helped me plan my destination wedding from 1,600 miles away. Due to timing, I did not have the opportunity before my wedding day to meet with vendors, see florals/decor in person, taste the venue’s food, have a hair and makeup trial, etc. I relied on many phone calls and texts with Vicky. She steered me in the right direction in making all of my choices, and she did not fail me. My wedding day was an absolute dream. Vicky and her assistant were extremely helpful and ensured that everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be. They created and implemented timelines that allowed for a truly seamless event.
By the way, Vicky’s assistant Karolina is an absolute angel. Karolina was so nice and sweet and treated me like a queen on my wedding day. At one point she was on the ground, rubbing lotion on my feet and bandaging them because they began to blister from my heels. I mean, what?!?! She really went above and beyond to make sure that my entire wedding party was happy and comfortable.
Vicky Furman has tons of experience and knows what she is doing. Do yourself a favor and hire her!!! I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

If you are planning a wedding in Florida Keys - you NEED Vicky! Her and her team are the best in the game. There is no words we can say to express the gratitude and love we have for Vicky and her team. We stumbled upon her on a whim and it was hands down the best experience we could have ever had. Not only did she plan beyond the most amazing wedding we could have asked for, but we created a friendship that will last a lifetime! She has a true talent in all her efforts and will do everything she can to make your dreams come true. From the beginning of planning, all the way to wedding day - You will not be disappointed!!! Vicky is a boss! I worked with her for my Nov 2023 wedding and was very happy with everything! From day 1 of planning to the "day of" onsite set up.. she was simply ON POINT. My guests even recognized and commented about how great she was. Aside from her professionalism and knowledge in the wedding industry.. she is one of the most responsive humans I've ever met. I don't think a text or email went more than a few minutes without a response. She's just great!
These planners are incredible!! I worked with Melanie for my April 2023 wedding at the Audubon House in Key West and it was exactly what I envisioned! She made the entire process and day as stress free as possible--from her recommendations to helping me to 'see' how it would all come together piece by piece, she was extremely thorough and thoughtful down to every little detail. Every time I might have felt stuck on a decision or idea, either Melanie or Vicky (or both!) would jump on a call with me to help talk it out. Hiring Vicky Furman Events was quite honestly the best decision I made in planning my wedding!!

Vicky and team are absolutely amazing! I utilized her for full wedding planning services over the last year and we just had our wedding a week ago. She is prompt in responses, attentive, has many connections across the Keys, and she has a keen eye for design. Everything was a dream! Also, day of the wedding was a whirlwind. Vicky has such a calm demeanor that she really set me at ease. Her assistant, Melanie was fantastic! She was by my side for most of the afternoon, making sure we were on time, holding belongings for us, and during our photos after the wedding she made sure both my husband and I had drinks in our hands and appetizers to eat!! I was so happy she was there, made the day smooth and was so accommodating! Thank you both for being so fantastic to work with! :)
I had Vicky Furman Events as a month of wedding coordinator for our wedding in November 2023 at the Audubon House. She is an expert at running weddings in Key West and I gave her my full trust with weather and layout decisions the week leading up to the wedding.
Vicky was consistently available for any and all questions throughout the planning process since the day I hired her. The week of the wedding I was continuously shocked at how much level of detail and attention went into the success of our wedding that Vicky and her team managed that I would have missed and had no idea needed to be covered.
Melanie was also amazing and by my side throughout the whole day. She helped with assisting our photographers with my dress, nicely asked early guests to move on while we were taking photos before the ceremony and they were trying to get a peek. She also checked on me all through the night with water, my favorite drink, and anything else I needed. She was always in a bright, positive and upbeat mood.
If you are on the fence about getting a wedding coordinator -- please do it (and hire Vicky Furman Events)! There are so many details that need to be covered and having an expert allows you to fully enjoy your day.

I debated whether I wanted to hire a wedding planner. If there is anything you splurge on splurge (very affordable) on Vicky and her team. We locked in with Vicky before I had picked a venue and it was the best decision I ever made. She kept me on track, answered so many questions, drove us around to venues and planned everything even down to our nails. She has the best energy and will not treat you just like it’s a job. I can’t recommend Vicky enough. I’m going to miss her as we’ve been working together for a year and a half. The most down to earth, fun, reliable, perfectionist you will meet. A dream wedding , the perfect day, a fairytale weekend are all the words I’d use to describe my wedding experience in Key West. A large part of the wedding success was because Vicky Furman and her associates were on my team! From our first phone call - Vicky made an impression. She has a go getter attitude, positive spirit and great relationships with the local vendors! Not only did she provide excellent recommendations, she provided unlimited communication via phone / text during the planning process which is so helpful when trying to move forward with decisions.
Vicky is professional and offers excellent suggestions however, respects your decision if you decide to move in a different direction. Also, Acey has the best and most kind demeanor and smile - perfect for working with the bride, wedding party and not to mention our dog, Ollie, on the wedding day. Vicky and her team truly shine on the day of the wedding. As the bride, I did not have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding as Vicky and Acey kept things moving smoothly and efficiently!! I was blown away when I arrived to the venue and everything had been coordinated and decorated better than I could have ever imagined.

I have a background in event planning but could not have planned a destination wedding by myself. Vicky knew the island and it's vendors (all EXCELLENT RECOMMENDATIONS. DO NOT SECOND GUESS VICKY WHEN IT COMES TO VENDORS) Vicky and I had been communicating so frequently, it feels weird not talking with her almost daily after the wedding. Look no further for your Key West Planner - Vicky is your girl!

Vicky and Acey went so far and above all expectations I don't even know where to start! We love people with a good sense of humor that make decision making stress free and easy and Vicky won our hearts! Vicky is absolutely phenomenal. We were introduced to Vicky only about 3 weeks before our wedding when our original coordinator ended up with an unavoidable conflict. It was nerve-wracking to get started too close to our date, but Vicky immediately impressed us with her calm demeanor, can-do attitude and incredible organizational skills. I was admittedly a nervous wreck in the weeks leading up to our wedding, having survived a massive hurricane and everything in our lives being turned upside down. But Vicky quickly assessed what was already done for the wedding, identified open items and made recommendations to get us back on track. Vicky knows all the Key West vendors and seemingly worked her magic so we could wrap up the finishing touches. But best of all, she made our wedding day run with smooth perfection. I don’t know how she did it— totally calm, collected, and with a smile. We were able to completely relax and enjoy our day, knowing that Vicky was keeping everything moving flawlessly. She is a consummate professional and if you are looking to hire a planner/coordinator who will make sure you actually get to enjoy your wedding AND delivers beyond your dreams, call Vicky!

Vicky thank you from the bottom of my heart. I found Vicky on a whim - she was helping out a friend with Eventfully Yours answer some questions I had emailed while her friend was out of town. I did not have a planner yet, although I chatted with a few. After our phone call I booked Eventfully Yours and Vicky Furman Events! Not only was she fabulously priced for the amount of work she offered (brides FYI - a lot of planners only give 2 months before the wedding communication, Vicky was unlimited) but she truly cared and was on top of whatever I needed. I don't think I ever waited more than 20 minutes for a response from her. Now if you hire Vicky and are wondering how she does it all - well she does - but she also has an amazing day of helper, Acey. Acey showed up at my ARBNB with the biggest and most infectious smile. During the getting ready process she made me feel like time was mine and she was only there to keep us on track. This truly allowed me to stay present, which was important to me. I wanted Vicky and Acey to be guests at my wedding - not working for me, LOL! My family could not stop talking about how great both girls were. They took care of business when they had to, celebrated when it was appropriate and made everything literally effortless. If I could do it all again I would, with Vicky on my team. Our wedding was the best day of our lives. I highly recommend marrying your best friend at the Audubon House and Tropical Gardens with the best team to start the beginning of your forever!

Vicky was my day of coordinator for our wedding at the Audubon House and Tropical Gardens. Our wedding was more magical and perfect than we could have imagined thanks to Vicky. Vicky was absolutely amazing to work with. She was always available to answer questions, is very organized with attention to detail, and has all of the Key West wedding connections. I can’t recommend her enough! If you are looking for a top notch planner/coordinator, choose Vicky!!
Vicky was beyond amazing from start to finish. She was always a text or call away and always had an answer or solution to my questions/concerns. My wedding day was organized and everything went beautifully! 100/100 would recommend Vicky as your event planner! I cannot begin to express how grateful we were to have Vicky be a part of our wedding day/planning experience. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but planning a destination wedding gives added challenges since we cannot physically be there to oversee every last thing. Hiring Vicky Furman was the BEST choice, and she made the entire experience easy, fun, and stress free! She was proactive and responsive and 10 steps ahead of the game at all times. Everyone kept asking why I was so relaxed in the days leading up to the wedding and it was 100% because Vicky took care of everything I could possibly be worried or stressed about. She was helpful in recommending vendors, confirmed all appointments and timelines, and kept everyone on task and on time. Hiring Vicky to help plan and coordinate my wedding was literally the best decision we made regarding our wedding! She was perfect from the very first minute! She worked with me for a year and was always ready and available with any questions I had. Everything, every person, every place Vicky recommended was absolutely 100% the best! Starting to plan a destination wedding immediately felt overwhelming until I found Vicky. After that everything felt stress free and under control. She honestly made our whole experience relaxing! THEN the day of the wedding came and I didn’t realize she could get any better, BUT SHE DID!! The day was a dream come true! Every detail was perfect, and she kept everyone on track and organized. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was the best and it was! My friends can’t stop talking about how wonderful she was also! HIRE VICKY YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! I’m not sure where to begin this review because working with Vicky was priceless. I can’t thank her enough for how she made us feel throughout the planning process and the friendship I ended up gaining.
If you do not hire Vicky and her team, you are making a mistake. I’ve been in a number of weddings and have seen all levels of coordination/planning. I’m not biased when I say our wedding was one of the most organized and smoothly ran events. Vicky orchestrated the perfect day from start to finish. Our wedding day (and the planning experience) was so fun and stress free which couldn’t have happened without Vicky and Jackie. Read that again… how many people can honestly say that their wedding planning and day was fun AND stress free?
Vicky organized touch base calls for the two of us throughout the planning process to ensure we were on track (of course we were!). I could call/email/text her for absolutely anything and she was extremely responsive. Jesse and I drove down the weekend after Thanksgiving to meet with Vicky face to face and to meet with a few of our other vendors (shout out to: Monika at Duarte Floral, Iris Photography, Bradi at Catered Affairs and KW Cakes). If you are unable to make a visit down prior to your wedding, don’t fret. I would have complete confidence in Vicky’s guidance virtually.
On the day of the wedding, Vicky had Jackie assist. Jackie was such a gem and helped with all the little details. She helped make sure I had all of my personal items (like lipstick, purse, etc) for pictures and after the wedding. She brought my “party” dress over and helped me change quickly into it during the reception. We ran low on wine and she ran to the store and got us another case! After the wedding, she put all of our items back in our hotel room (wedding dress, cake!, our signage, gifts, etc). Vicky has a gift of making everyone around her smile, have fun, feel at ease and confident that everything is taken care of. Her attentiveness, attention to detail and flawless execution skills created the perfect event. We look back on our wedding and couldn’t have imagined a better weekend. I attribute this to all of our amazing vendors, but Vicky in particular for being the quarterback. If you want the A+ team, hire Vicky and the rest of the vendors we used ;) I gained a friend throughout this and couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience.
Vicky is perfect at what she does. She works with any budget, is honest, accommodating, creative, punctual. I can’t say enough about our wedding planning experience with Vicky. She is on top of everything and doesn’t miss a detail. I didn’t have to worry about anything. On wedding day, Vicky’s assistant, Acey was there to keep everyone on time, relaxed, and ready for the party. If I could redo the whole experience, there isn’t a thing that I would change. Vicky is the absolute best wedding coordinator and planner in Key West and all the Keys! She kept our Truman White House wedding on time and running perfectly. Acey and Vicky split themselves between our getting ready location and the venue to set up and keep everyone on schedule. Our families loved Vicky and kept commenting on how easy she made the wedding day feel. I cannot give Vicky enough praise for her unlimited communication and knowledge of vendors in the area. Vicky is worth every penny and more as she saved us money and time during the planning process as well as bringing valuable information like unseasonably warm temperatures needing rentals fans!
