Absolutely amazing! Run, don’t walk to the View! The View is spectacular, the food is fantastic, and the service is unbelievable! I cannot say enough good things. Jimmy (the owner) and John (maitre d) are so accommodating and so amazing they made the whole experience a truly magical one. From the beginning when we booked to the very day of our wedding we were not disappointed. On the day of John made sure my HUSBAND and I were taken care of, he made sure we had a plate of all of the things from cocktail hour and during dinner as well. He made sure our glasses were never empty and set up the entire wedding exactly how we wanted it! Such an amazing experience! Also, my guests are still raving about how great the service and food was!!

This is an absolutely amazing wedding venue! We got married here this past fall and everything was incredible. We were so happy with the food, service and drinks. Guests are still talking about the food and the amazing cocktails (awesome bartenders)!!! Jimmy and his wife were so nice, professional and easy to work with. Jennifer, our maitre’d was the BEST!!! I would give her ten stars!! She saved my dress after a drink splattered all over it! She kept everything moving smoothly. Jen took the time and effort to bring some of her own fall themed decorations for the wedding reception. Her communication style was flawless that I didn’t have to worry anything! I could text any of my questions or concerns and she would respond back in such a timely manner. My husband and I were so impressed with Jen’s professionalism and overall positive attitude. I’m booking my next party here!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Jimmy, Jen and the rest of the staff at View! Our day was nothing short of amazing and I wish we could do it over and over again! The food! OMG the food!!! There was so much and everything was absolutely delicious. Everyone raved about the fried oyster shooters. My husband and I never NOT had a drink in our hand. The staff are magical drink fairies but not to worry because they kept the waters coming for me too when I need a break from the booze! I couldn’t find something negative to say about this place even if tried! We are so eternally grateful to the entire staff for making sure our day was nothing short of incredible!

Absolutely loved this venue, I couldn't have asked for a better wedding. Jim, Laurie & Jen are absolutely amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect day. Food is outstanding and waitstaff is extremely friendly and attentive. 110% be using them going forward for any party that we have.

I cannot recommend this venue enough. Jennifer and Jim were great to work with. Our wedding was supposed to be May 2020(oops) and had to be pushed back twice until May 2022. Everyone worked so well with us during the multiple date changes and were more than accommodating. The food is awesome there and the drinks were certainly not watered down. Doing the combined package made our lives much easier since the vendors were already there for us. Everything was seamless and perfect. Guests had so much fun and the view outside of the water is unmatched. You will not be disappointed if you choose this venue.

What an amazing venue! We cannot recommend VIEW highly enough! It's a beautiful place for an afternoon wedding. No detail was overlooked, from the planning phase to executing the day of; Jimmy, Jennifer and Tara made sure that the day went off without any hiccups. They were professional, but personable and took the stress off the entire day, allowing us to enjoy our family and friends! They even anticipated needs that we didn't know we would have! If you're looking for beautiful views, incredible food and first class service then we would highly recommend using VIEW for your wedding!

Just wanted to give my highest recommendation and review of the View in Oakdale for our wedding reception/venue spot. The food was outstanding. Our guests would not stop talking about how great everything was and my wife and I were overly impressed with how amazing everything came out. Everything from the cocktail hour, to the main course, to the cake from Rolling Pin Bakery, just unbelievable. We even got to choose Surf & Turf as one of our entrees and it was so delicious! Working with Jimmy, Joe, and Jen was so easy for us as a couple. We didn't have a wedding planner, and my wife and I did everything on our own, but with the help of Jimmy & Jen, our day couldn't of went smoother and they took the burden off of us and definitely made the planning as stress-free as possible. They took the time to listen to what we envisioned the day looking like and we were fortunate enough to have the entire restaurant to ourselves since we chose a date in their off season. It was decorated beautifully for the holidays, and they even let us pick and choose which decorations to keep and which we could put away for the day. Their new outdoor space is now covered with heaters and it made for the perfect dance floor/cocktail hour spot and with the lighting and hanging flowers that we added, it was just truly magical. We cannot thank the View and their staff enough for their professionalism and the amazing experience that they were able to give us for our special day. It was worth all the wait after being postponed almost a year and a half due to COVID. So if you are an LI bride looking for a waterfront venue with amazing food & ambiance, the View is the place for you.

This place is AMAZING!!!! My husband and I wanted a place that was laidback with a nautical feel. We came across View and knew it was where we should get married. The entire staff is amazing to work with and accommodating in every way to personalize your day. The food is top notch and you cant beat the view. All of our guests are still talking about what a great time they had and how great the food was. I also really like that the View is not only a wedding venue but a restaurant too so we can continue to celebrate special moments there.

This is such a great venue. It's versatile, and it offers a different experience than most catering hall style venues on Long Island. My husband and I were married on 5/29/21 at View. It rained all day, but Jimmy and Jen were able to set up for our ceremony under the BEAUTIFUL new covered patio. I was so shocked by what they were able to put together for us. They also had heat lamps available on the patio that kept our guests comfortable for the whole day. The food and drinks were excellent! It even looks great in our video footage. Big shout out to Jen (maître d' at View). She was so pleasant to work with and so attentive during the reception.

So happy we booked here! Both of our 2nd weddings and exactly what we were looking for. We booked in 2019 then had to postpone due to covid- everyone was fantastic. That meant so much and their professionalism stood out. Jimmy, Joe, Laurie, Jen…. All of them beautiful people. We finally married 9/4/21 and it was a beautiful, peaceful, calm, classy event! Delicious food and good drinks in a beautiful place. From the boat ride (thanks Jimmy), to the ceremony, to the cocktail and reception…. TOP notch! Our 4 young daughters were a major part of our day and Jen made sure we didn’t have to worry about them! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day…. I wish we could do it again. Highly recommend VIEW!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue! My husband and I just got married there on 9/11 and it was absolutely perfect! This was actually the first venue we looked at when we first started planning and we fell in love right away, they had everything we wanted and more. We wanted a full cocktail party which they offered and it was done beautifully. Our ceremony was outside right on the water and we couldn’t have had better weather! We also went with all the vendors that they recommend and was not disappointed, everyone was great! Huge shout out to Jennifer the manager ,she was amazing we worked with her pretty much throughout the whole process and she made everything super easy and totally saw my vision and set up all my decorations the way I wanted, even the day of the wedding she treated me and my husband like gold!We had a day time wedding which ended at 5pm and we still got to stay after and hang out with our friends because we were all having such an awesome time and didn’t want to leave! I still get a ton of compliments on our wedding and I’m recommending this place to everyone!

If you’re looking for a laid back wedding this is your venue. Our guest are still saying it was the best wedding ever! The staff really made our day feel special and treated us like family. I don’t write reviews but this place definitely deserves one! If you’re looking for a more low key wedding that still gives you and your guests the ultimate wedding feel, this place is for sure the one. We chose the view for the “view” and couldn’t have had anything better. We heard the food would be good but considering my super judge mental Italian family loved it, then you know it must be! The staff was awesome from the first day we went there. Jimmy the manager accommodated everything we asked for and Jennifer the maid tre de made sure everything was executed with no issues. You get the whole place to yourself as well which was amazing!! If we could do it again we would 1000 times!!

All the Jim Hahn, Mgr. promised and contracted he delivered. Jen, Wedding Mgr. was calm, reassuring, and knowledgeable. They had control of all details. Those of our 195 guests we spoke with raved about the location, service, food, and efficient delivery of food and drink was beyond expectations. We would do it exactly the same at View if we were to have a do over. I highly recommend picking View , especially if you want a panoramic vista of the bay. Our guests came from Europe to California and did not expect this experience.

The best wedding ever!! We had 195 guests . Jim and Jenn were fantastic from the day we booked until the reception was over. The staff was incredible, friendly, great service, the bartenders kept up with all the guests and there were a lot at the bar! The staff also got drinks and hand passed horsdevours all day. The food was incredibly delicious and tons of it. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, huge dance floor under the new and beautiful awning, deck furniture outside is beautiful. Inside tables , lots of places to sit. I really can’t say enough good things. We had an Extended Cocktail Reception - the only way to go. The vendors they recommended were also fantastic - photographer, florist and bakery! This is a wonderful place to have a wedding and a great value for the $. I would do it again!! My fiancé and I had our engagement party here at View. From the moment we stepped foot there we knew it was the perfect spot. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and outside. It’s right on the water so all the pictures come out beautiful whether it’s a cloudy day or not. The food is what we fell in love with. We love our food and did not want to settle for anything basic. View has so many delicious options we went with the halibut, steak and scallops for entree and everyone loved their meal. The cocktail hour was amazing. Again the options are so yummy! The cocktails are also great. We definitely recommend this spot to host any kind of event. Another reason we chose this spot was because of the staff Jimmy and Jennifer were AMAZING they catered to our every need every step of the way. They are so sweet and know exactly how to make your party perfect. I can’t wait to have another party there. We honestly would have had our wedding here but we were not ready. We were so sad when it ended it was such a great time. Check it out!

Me and my Fiancé just started to plan our wedding for 2021 & we went to a wedding at view last year. This is our number one venue we were crazy about. The wedding was just an all around great time! The bartenders really knew how to get the party going and that is really one of the main reasons we want to have our reception there. The food was awesome, staff great. We are really looking forward to sharing our special day with our family and friends here in the next year!

I went to view in oakdale over the summer for a wedding brunch. View staff did great at making this day special due to all the craziness going on with COVID. The view was absolutely beautiful and the food was great. I will be booking my next private event at view and I am SO excited!

The View exceeded all of my expectations! Jimmy was so easy to contact with any questions throughout the process and he was so calm and accommodating it totally eased all my planning anxiety. On the day of Jenn and all of the staff were AMAZING. They were on top of everything and my husband and I never didn’t have a drink or appetizer in hand. My bridal attendant also fixed my hair and dress bustle and avoided those disasters! I really couldn’t be more grateful to all the staff and servers for making my wedding the best day ever!

The View did an absolutely wonderful job hosting our wedding. We got married on September 21 2019, and the day truly couldn't have been more perfect. Jimmy Hahn and Jen Greig accommodated all of our requests and made the day so incredibly special. The rooms were decorated so beautifully, and the food was incredible. We could not have asked for anything more!!

We had our daughters wedding at the View 9/21/19. It was wonderful! The views are amazing! Decor is a mix of restoration hardware and coastal. The food was delish and plentiful. Carol the bartender was on top of drinks for everyone. Jimmy and Jen were amazing and took care of everything that we could just enjoy! I cannot say enough about this restaurant..... everything was perfect from start to finish.

What a beautiful Venue to have a wedding! The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The bride and groom chose a 5 hour cocktail hour with continuous appetizers that were unbelievable plus there were also stations of raw bar, sushi, carving station, etc. The food was by far the best I’ve ever had at a wedding.

Phenomenal! My wife and I were thrilled with the service we received at VIEW in Oakdale. Between the food and staff we couldn't have asked for a better day. We had a Cocktail Style wedding of about 250 people. Our dance floor was on the outside Patio where we had our band set up while the food stations were inside the restaurant. Our Family and Friends cannot stop talking about our big day even 4 months later! Thank you so much to the entire staff at VIEW! View Restuarant is the BEST place to have a wedding.We have to acknowledge the Manger, his wife, our awesome maitre d' & all the waiters & waitresses,they made our wedding day perfect. Our family & friends raved about the food! Our pictures on the dock are beautiful. Stunning! That was the first word that came to us when we first saw View, and it was nothing short of stunning for our wedding day! The dockside ceremony underneath the gazebo flanked by beautiful palm trees was exactly what we envisioned and the waterfront views made us and our guests feel as though they were transported to a completely different place. The food was outstanding and catered to the wide variety of dietary needs of all our guests. The drinks? Perfect! Our guests were gushing with compliments about...EVERYTHING! Jimmy, Courtney and the entire staff at View were fantastic in meeting our every needs and taking care of every detail big and small (including setting up our sand ceremony!) so that we could truly be stress free and enjoy ourselves. We look forward to returning time and time again to View with our family and friends to enjoy this remarkable place!

We got married at View April 2019 after an exhaustive search of venues in Suffolk. We were looking for something beautiful, in our budget but would also allow for the laid back fun vibe we were hoping to convey. I also have celiac’s disease and it was very important to me that the venue be knowledgeable and accommodating. I got all of that and more from the View. Jimmy, Joe (my gluten free guru) and Courtney were absolutely superb. In every meeting I felt like they understood what I wanted, took my requests and concerns seriously and executed a flawless day for my husband and I. Everything looked beautiful, tasted amazing and ran right on schedule. Thank you to everyone at View for a truly amazing day!

It's easy to tell just by looking that The View is a beautiful space, but our guests were awe struck by how perfect it looked on our wedding day. Beyond the obvious beauty of the room and the location, the food is impeccable. My husband (a professional chef) and I (an experienced and enthusiastic eater) found the execution of every dish to be flawless--not an adjective we use lightly. The scallops were seared to perfection, as was the filet mignon and all of the other delicious foods on the buffet spread. We were also impressed by the artful presentation, and our guests loved the "bonus food" that came as part of our extended cocktail reception, the perfect option to make sure our guests got a taste of every delicious morsel. However, the best part of the day was the incredible staff: from the professional, polished and friendly servers who made sure our guests never lacked for anything, and even decorated and packed up all of our favors so lovingly and carefully for us, to Courtney, who is so incredibly efficient and meticulous and unflappable that we instantly put our trust in her getting every detail right on point, to Jimmy, who made every part of the experience fun and easy--from when we found the venue to when we sat to down write the menu to when he treated us to brunch to next day, to Laurie who went above and beyond in recovering a friend's lost coat and making sure a really nice bottle of scotch we accidentally left behind got returned to us. We could not ask for better service and we are so grateful that every single detail in our special day went off without a hitch.

Our wedding on August 11, 2018 was everything we could have wished for and more! The View is a stunning venue on the Great South Bay with incredible food and impeccable service. My husband and I wanted to have a wedding ceremony outdoors on the water, and we knew we found our wedding venue after having dinner at the View and meeting Jim. He was very courteous and helpful, explaining how a ceremony and reception are handled at the View. After meeting Jim, we were introduced to their manager Courtney, who proved to be professional and consistently helpful throughout our planning phase. The day of our wedding my husband and I could not stop smiling! All of the months of planning paid off and not one detail was forgotten by Courtney! The food, bartending staff, and servers were all superb. We were especially grateful for our favorite bartender, Shannon, for making sure our signature cocktails were perfect. Throughout the reception, our guests repeatedly commented on what an incredible time they were having. They were in awe of the beautiful the views and how delicious the food and drinks were. We are so grateful that we chose the View for our special day!

We had our wedding at the VIEW and it was everything we could have asked for and more - truly a magical day. From the first day we stepped into the venue, everyone was incredible and so easy to work with. Jimmy helped us plan the wedding of our dreams by tailoring the day to our personality, and Courtney executed everything to a tee! There was not anything we needed to be concerned about the day of - they managed everything smoothly. Our family & friends still rave (a few months later) about the beautiful venue , the friendly and helpful staff, the easy access to the bar & drinks and the delicious food! Many have even gone back after for dinner on their own since then. We had a larger wedding (about 275 people), and the staff managed to keep plenty of food out and drinks flowing while logistically keeping the party flowing perfectly. We cannot say enough good things about the VIEW and the entire staff! If you are looking for a gorgeous venue with a flexible but attentive team - I would highly recommend considering the VIEW as your venue.

We just had our ceremony and reception at the View on August 18, 2018, and it was phenomenal, a true dream come true. When my husband and I were looking for a venue, from the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew this would be it. This venue gave us the intimacy, special one-on-one treatment, and hospitality every couple deserves on their special day. All staff and vendors are dedicated, respectful, and show passion for their careers in the industry, and made our day beautiful and one of a kind. I have been recommending this venue ever since we booked the wedding 2 years ago. We are so very grateful.

We got married at the View on 7/7/2018. The day was absolutely perfect! From the weather to the staff and the food. My guests are still commenting when I see them how good of a time they had. The food was nothing short of amazing. They were able to cater to my dietary needs as well as the guests and children. We did the extended cocktail reception - it was a huge hit - guests were able to eat as much as they want and had a great selection to choose from! The variety of food was fun to pick, they offer some more traditional selections but we were able to select a variety for our guests to make it more exciting then the food you may expect at a wedding. We are not fish eaters - the View's wedding menu selection was able to be flexible whether or not you loved fish - which was great and of course delicious! The View was great as we did not want a wedding factory feel, none of our guests had been to a wedding at the View before which made it that much more exciting, it is like a hidden gem. Jimmy and Courtney were amazing to work with from the moment we visited the View. We had never been to the View before our first viewing. The View was the last stop of about 11 wedding sites, it did not compare to any place we visited. Some love the nautical feel, I loved the simple elegant historical timeless feel the View has. We arrived a little early to finish pictures with family and got married on site. There was a super quick turn around time between the ceremony and cocktail hour - it happened so quick I did not even noticed the furniture being reset. The staff were amazing, and always attentive to not only to us but also our guests. My mom still comments about how she got to talk to the chef. The personal feel the View was able to offer did not compare to any other vendor we visited. And knowing we can go back for anniversaries and make the View a part of our future memories means a lot! I would recommend the view 1000% for weddings (and now for dining too!)

Our wedding at the View could not have been better. The staff was amazing, Courtney our Maitre D was so helpful, she went above and beyond to make our day perfect! Jimmy, one of the managers, was so helpful with our planning and the details of our special day! Our guests continue to rave about the beautiful location on the water, the food and how much fun the day was! We also had our ceremony at the View, we lucked out with the weather so we were able to get married outside but I was even ok with their plan B to have the ceremony inside as the location inside also had a beautiful water view as the backdrop! We were so happy with our choice to be married at the View and HIGHLY recommend it!

I had my wedding here on 7/21/18. Originally I wanted a vineyard wedding, but we ended up doing the package deal option at the View which was muchhh more affordable and SO much less stressful. At the time our deal was 100 people minimum for $14,250 (I believe price has gone up to 15k area now). This included vendors, however the vendors don't really provide that much so I did about 6k worth of upcharges between the DJ, florist, and photographer. For example: the DJ didn't include ceremony music, just reception - so I had to pay an extra $500 just to have ceremony music. But even still with 6k upcharges, I only spent about 20k on my wedding total which I personally think is amazing for how fun and beautiful it was. They only offer daytime Saturday weddings, but the daytime didn't bother me one bit. PROS: The venue itself is beautiful, the staff was great. Our wedding day went so smooth, no issues, it was the perfect day. I couldn't hear enough positive comments from my guests about the food - everyone said the food was amazing. The alcoholic drinks were strong -which I was happy about bc I've been to weddings where they water down the cocktails. The Maitre'D Courtney was efficient and helpful, she made sure everything was set up properly and running smooth. My favorite thing that the View did, day of, is that I chose not to do a reveal (first look), and to take my photos during cocktail hour. I felt a bit guilty bc I knew my bridal party/fam would then miss out on the cocktail hour food and drinks. But to my surprise as soon as we began taking our pics, during CH, the staff brought over trays of cocktails and hors d'oeuvres for everyone to snack on. I loved this bc it didn't feel like anyone missed out then on the cocktail hour bc of pics. CONS: I was a bit unhappy with how the vendors didn't include much. As I said above, the fact the DJ didn't include your ceremony music and I had to pay $500 extra just for that, is a bit ridiculous. Also, the photographer only included pics that were unedited/low res with their logo on them. I had to pay about $1,300 extra for high resolution, edited photos without the logo. Kinda bs. Also, as nice as the View manager guy Jimmy is, he wasn't very transparent with some things. He did tell us it was $500 extra to have the ceremony at the View (which is at 11:30am), but he told us multiple times we were able to use the bridal suite in the AM to get ready, and we could show up whatever time we wanted. It wasn't until the final payment, 4 days before the wedding, that they tried to tell us it was $100 an hour for the suite before 10am. The ceremony starts at 11:30am, so who the heck would be ready in an hour and a half? I think that was a bit cheap and bs on their part - we alrdy paid $500 extra for the ceremony, at that point the suite should be included. But they ended up waiving the fee for us anyway luckily. All in all, I really don't have many negatives. Our wedding was so affordable and fun, and the food was so good. The venue is so far from the typical commercial/generic catering hall and I absolutely loved that.

Our wedding was June 30, 2018!! We cannot say enough great things about View!!! View was the very first and only venue that we looked at! We knew immediately that it was the perfect place for our wedding! We wanted great food and drinks and View 100% provides that!! The nautical decor, water views, amazing staff and location are perfect for weddings! I cannot say enough good things about Jimmy, Joe and Courtney! You will be in great hands on your wedding day with nothing to worry about, Courtney does it all!!! Our guests were so impressed with the quality and amount of food at our Extended Cocktail Reception, they are still talking about it! Another highlight was the bar/drink service! The full service bar is unmatched by a regular wedding hall bar!! Our guests were very happy with all the options!! Especially the Blackberry Mojitos and Rum Punch!!! Delicious!! We love that we will be able to go back to View every year for our anniversary!!!! (And whenever we want some great food and drinks!!)

We got married on 5/26/18 here and it was PERFECT! My husband and I wanted a small intimate wedding by the water. We wanted a venue that spoke to us, had personality, and wasn't another wedding factory. We also wanted to make sure that we were the only wedding happening. We've been to so many weddings where there were multiple events and it felt less special. The moment we walked in, we looked at each other and knew this was the place! HANDS DOWN! And! It was in budget!! We're both divers and we got engaged on a beach so we loved the nautical theme that the View already had. Courtney and Jimmy were the best team! So attentive every step of the way. I didn't have a wedding planner so I called Jimmy once a week it seemed with all sorts of questions. No matter how busy he was, he always met with us and answered all questions with genuine enthusiasm! He's a BIG part of why we loved our experience here. And if it wasn't for Courtney, I don't think we would have eaten. We also wouldn't have had such a smooth day. Courtney made sure everything went well, including the ceremony and making sure people were where they were supposed to be. She definitely had our best interest at heart. Both true professionals and so nice and attentive. Can't say enough good things about this place. We're definitely coming back every anniversary. OH! THE FOOD! Everyone loved the food. The thai calamari and risotto balls were the highlight. We decided against the package because we didn't like the photographers but if you don't mind, the package is a pretty good deal!

Courtney and Jimmy made our day so special! We absolutely love The View and can't wait to come back for our anniversary dinner. Our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended! From the ceremony, to the set-up, and the food, everything was perfect. It was a pleasure working with the team there and they were able to make our dream wedding a reality.

Amazing location, excellent food and great staff! This is definitely the perfect choice if you are looking for something other than the typical catering hall feel. Wedding was in Spring 2017; Courtney and Jimmy were great to work with. The View doesnt charge extra service fees like a lot of other places so for the quality of the food and price, you cant beat it.

Katie was one of the best servers we’ve had. Open table reservation said it was a birthday. There was hair in our dinner. Katie corrected the problem ASAP. Courtney the manager on duty told Katie to put the desert on the house. Desert came, there was no candle. I approach Courtney in the office as they (her and the hostess) we’re drinking wine and on the cell phone. She explained she was sorry there was nothing in the computer stating that there was a birthday. I then showed her the reservation on my phone and the first line says my fiancé‘s birthday. She apologized and said dessert is on the house. Working in the restaurant business for 10+ years when there is hair in someone’s food at the MOD would check on the table to make sure that everything else is OK. Little did she know we were already getting comped dessert for the hair that was in the food. She said she would take care of it. Came back with champagne. What do I want champagne for? Then went back into her office. We had great service from Katie. Courtney did not handle the situation the way the MOD should have.

I will start by saying we had an amazing wedding day. If you are considering getting married at View read this review all the way through. Everyone at View is lovely- and you cannot beat the location. All of the events leading up to the week of our wedding were great. We had gone to dinner there before - when we went to inquire about the advertised wedding package and we knew immediately that this was the right place for us- on top of everything it was the right price, and it was a package including a variety of vendors, we were all in! We were in contact for 6 months before our wedding. Visiting the restaurant to eat 3 times before, and had numerous phone and email exchanges. Buyer beware- read the fine print when you sign your contract- when your final payment is due there will be extra charges, that are never discussed or explained no matter now often you are in contact or go to View. The morning of our wedding, the manager says “did anyone contact you?” I say no- he explains that the maitre D that we worked with had a family emergency and we would have another - turns out she was also managing the wedding and didn’t attend to us at all. AT ALL. We even had to ask them to move the tables for the ceremony, and a flower basket that everyone hit their head on- The empty tables are in almost every professional picture we had- you couldn't avoid them and it ruined the ceremony pictures. I would recommend NOT doing the extended cocktail as it is just a buffet. Sounds great until you see your guests standing in line holding plates waiting for the buffet that is not a "buffet" We chose the right band, the right invitations- of the vendors included in our package we loved our florist although we had to sink and additional thousand dollars in- and we loved the photographer, not the photography package, or photography company assigned to us. We didn’t use the DJ, and the limo company was just offensive and bad. In summation- this is a buyer beware. While a lovely venue they over promise and under deliver at least they did for us. It has taken us 3 months just to write this review because we were simply too upset that our wedding day was ruined because of a lack of management. We will NEVER return to VIEW- not even to celebrate our special day. Keep in mind- this review is missing so many details. So many misses, again over promise and under deliver. Sad.

Absolutely amazing! My husband and I had decided a long time ago we wanted a laid back, waterfront wedding. We had been to View Restaurant for dinner and brunch many times before and thought this would be the perfect place to say our "I do's!" We chose a brunch wedding, with having our ceremony prior to that. Fortunately, we were able to get married outside on the water in their beautiful space. It could not have been any more perfect than it was. Brunch to follow was exceptional, as it always is. Although we shared the space with another party and regular customers, I never once felt like the space wasn't totally ours. We were completely taken care of by their amazing staff and could actually enjoy our guest without feeling overwhelmed. I would do it all over again and not change one thing about our day and experience.

We had our wedding at the VIEW on August 12, 2017 which was amazing! Everything from start to finish went smoothly thanks to Courtney, Jimmy, Joe and the entire staff. Our friends and family are still raving about how much fun they had, how delicious the food was and the spectacular view. Most of them say it was the best wedding they have ever attended. We had our dance floor out on the patio which gave our 175 guests plenty of space inside to enjoy the beautiful set-up. The outside dance floor was a great idea thanks to the managers :) From the second we walked in that morning Courtney made sure we had everything we needed. Our entire day was amazing thanks to the VIEW and their entire staff!! Its a day we will never forget!

My Wedding at The View was amazing!! Everything about this venue was perfect for what we wanted for our magical day. Everything was smooth sailing from the moment we booked, through all the planning, to the wedding day itself. From the beautiful location right on the water to the impeccable service - we couldn't be happier! We couldn't thank the friendly, lively, and accommodating staff enough for their service that made our day perfect. (I was treated like a princess!) On top of everything being perfect, our pictures came out amazing!! The backdrop of every picture had the water in it, which I loved! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone who wants to get married on the water.

Jen and I got married at View on Saturday 7/8/17. Every aspect of our day was absolutely great. The staff and management made certain every detail was executed to perfection. All our guests and family had a great day as well. We are still on cloud nine!! We visited many venues prior to booking our day at View. From the initial meeting with Jimmy, I knew this was the right place for us. He suggested the wedding package for us and it was the correct choice. All the provided vendors were excellent and easy to contact and do business with. It turned out to be a fair value for the level of services provided to us by our florist, bakery, D.J, photographer and limousine vendors. We were able to tweak all our specific needs with each one and this really made the day ours. The food and service on our wedding day was top notch and plentiful. Our maitre di Courtney, ran the wedding with grace and precision. When a minor detail arose , it was dealt with seamlessly. We could not be happier with our choice of having our day at View. Save yourself time, go there first!!!

Our Wedding was Saturday afternoon August 5, 2017 at The View in Oakdale NY and it was absolutely amazing. The entire experience from months of planning up to the day of the wedding went smooth and all our anxieties were put at ease thanks to Jimmy, Courtney and the entire professional staff of The View. The day cleared that we were able to have our beautiful ceremony performed by Rev Aviva Sala who made our day so special under the gazebo with a spectacular view of the Great South Bay. We had a continuous cocktail reception and the food was outrageous. Our guests are still talking about the food and our wedding and say that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. My husband and I highly recommend this venue for a wedding any time of the year!! Thanks again to The View for making our day so special.

We can't praise View enough! Our guests are still raving about what a great time they had at our wedding and so are we. We had our ceremony, July 8th, on the deck overlooking the Connetquot River. View provided us with gorgeous water views, extensive menu options, delicious high quality food, professional and courteous staff, and a beautifully decorated dining area. It was truly a pleasure meeting with Jimmy and Courtney to plan our special day. We booked the complete wedding package. Having a list of recommended vendors made the entire planning process easy and smooth. Courtney worked together seamlessly with the staff to make our wedding day memorable and enjoyable for all.
