VisDoc Photography

VisDoc Photography is a wedding photography company based in Elk Grove, CA. Hello! I'd like to briefly introduce myself! (Trust me, I know there are a million other things happening as you plan a wedding!) My name is Ricardo, but most people call me Ricky! I've been photographing for almost a decade now, and it's been a lovely experience to feel that I'm learning through every person I meet and the days I photograph. I'll save you from too many details, but I thought my future was in Computer Science, but as many of us find out, our first venture is almost never our last. So I took the leap and committed to photography, and I truly feel the most purposeful I've felt in my life, and I'm so incredibly thankful for that. I'll cut to the chase - I feel very confident in my image-making, and I know how to have fun while leaning into the wonderful chaos that is a day full of endless intimate moments. Not only this, I truly think memory, nostalgia, however we want to call it, is so important beyond just that day! The power to document and relive these experiences through photos, sometimes with more clarity than memory alone, is (I think) really, really important during our time here and for the people after us. There is a discretion to be added to all of this...when the lights go down and the music starts, it's a bodily instinct for myself and my dance partner (📸) to sprint, not walk, to the dance floor.
