Greystone Weddings

We picked Visions at CenterPointe as our venue back at the end February of 2020. The idea that everything we needed would be taken care of was very appealing to us. Not having to worry about a caterer, DJ or renting center pieces from a vendor sounded like music to our ears. Coupled with the beautiful space and incredible views, we knew we found the perfect place to have our reception.

 Little did we know that two weeks later, we would be working from home and gatherings would be shut down. Through the whole pandemic, Bob worked with us to make sure that we could have the wedding we wanted. They were incredibly accommodating even when we had to push the wedding. Not once, but twice. I know that was not easy for them either. They went above and beyond to make sure that we could have the people there that we wanted. 

We had a wonderful reception. The food was great as well as the snacks provided during the cocktail hour. We even had the hotdog cart set up at the end of the night for a late night snack. 

 The provided DJ’s were incredible. They let us know what they were planning next and asked us what we wanted. They were even patient with the kids giving them requests. 

The bar and wait staff were great! They made sure that the head table was well stocked and were quick to get food out and fill up glasses. 

 Before the wedding, they asked us what we wanted, gave input but ultimately respected our choices. Some of the most fun we had during the wedding planning was planning our reception with them. They made it incredibly easy. They made us feel confident going in knowing that we were taken care of and that nothing was forgotten. 

 The shuttle service was the unsung hero of the night. After everyone had left, the shuttle came back and gave us a nice quiet ride to our hotel. 

If you are considering Visions as your venue for your reception, don’t hesitate. Not only will you not find a more beautiful place but you won’t find a place that puts you first quite as much as Visions.

My wedding at Visions went off very well even with the current restrictions and Bob and Jo allowed us to reschedule to a fall date when our original date fell within a quarantine period. However, I think there are a few things couples should be aware of when booking this venue. 1. This venue does charge for all of its extras, even if you choose to bring in your own items. For example, they were going to charge us per champaign glass for toasting. When we said we would bring in our own glasses, they were going to charge a $50 pouring fee, basically making sure the venue received money from us either way. This $50 pouring fee was not clear until right before the event, so we did not have time to come up with an alternative. There are multiple fees that aren't specified upfront that I felt I would have liked to know about ahead of time. 2. We paid much of our event up ahead of time. Several months before our rescheduled ceremony, we asked if we would be refunded everything, but the non-refundable deposit that was specified in our agreement. We were informed that we would not be refunded any of our money despite it only specified in the agreement that only the initial $2,500 was non-refundable. We were able to go ahead with our event regardless, but it felt like it put is in a bind since it would require us to hire a lawyer to get any of our money back. 3. They still required us to pay for the minimum 100 guests at Visions even though they were limited by Michigan executive order to 25 percent of capacity (roughly 60-ish or so). However, the view here is beautiful and Jo was very helpful on the day of our event. The food was very good and we enjoyed not having to clean up much at the end of the night. The ceremony on the bayside grass area went off perfectly and both Bob and Jo were prompt to return phone calls and emails.

Bob and his wife were unbelievably flexible with having to change the wedding date because of Covid. They went above and beyond making sure our wedding could happen safely! Bob also helped plan our Sandals vacation which was AMAZING! Truly made a bride feel special even in these times!

Although my husband and I were unable to have our wedding at Visions due to all the COVID shutdowns, Bob (the owner) was an excellent vendor to work with. He was timely in his responses and always helpful. We really enjoyed the wedding planning part with Bob’s input and knowledge. We wish we could have had the special day we planned, but at least we got to enjoy the ride!

We are so happy that we chose Visions for our wedding ceremony and reception. Bob was very helpful putting a plan in place from the beginning and during our final walk through call (we live about 4 hours from TC). They have a great outdoor and indoor ceremony spots. Because it was cold we held ours in the beautiful atrium. It's nice they do the center pieces so I didn't have to worry about it and focused efforts elsewhere. The reception area has a gorgeous view of the bay. The food was great. For the rehearsal and the day of Joanne was a great coordinator and worked with our officiant to make sure everything went smoothly. You'll be happy you choose Visions.

Planning a wedding, a larger one especially, can be stressful. To coordinate everything involved including the venue, table settings, decorations, DJ, catering, drinks, dessert, and the overall organization of putting everything together... can be overwhelming! Bob & Joanne at Visions at Center Pointe made everything easy. Their experience shows, the location was all inclusive so we simply had to make choices from a list! The catering menu was extensive, the alcohol was delivered directly to the venue, and it saved us a lot of work and time. The venue overlooks the bay, so the view was fantastic, (I can't wait to get the photos back) and our guests were impressed by the food, the relaxed living room area, outside balcony, and overall service. Words honestly can’t express how perfect our wedding day was. Bob and jo were perfect. They went above and beyond for everything and it was truly perfect. Jo even got us rose gold chair backs at the head table to make it even more perfect. When I walked in to see what It looked like set up- I immediately started crying. I will tell anyone any everyone to get married there, truly. They made it so less stressful and just were amazing. The food was so so good! They are the most down to early, perfect, nice couple ever. The venue is perfect. Ray the DJ Was so sweet, the bridal suite was amazing, the bartenders and everything. Just absolute perfection.

If you’re planning a wedding in Traverse City, look no further than Visions at Centerpointe! Coming from California, I always dreamed of a beach wedding, but couldn’t justify the price. Living in Michigan for the past 10 years, Visions was the PERFECT location! We got stunning marina views from the reception hall with full glass panels throughout. It was truly a dream location! More than that, Bob and Joanne were incredible to work with! Working 80+ hours a week (and planning from Detroit), I didn’t have much time to actually plan a wedding beyond finding my vendors online. Joanne literally takes care of everything from decorations, to coordinating your vendors, and most importantly making sure everything runs smoothly. On top of it all, we actually planned a full Indian wedding, and both Bob and Joanne pulled it off perfectly! They gave us some great recommendations for vendors to use that they’ve worked with in the past. Not being able to meet many of our vendors before I booked, I’m glad I trusted Bob and Joanne for their input. From the moment we considered booking Visions up until the day of, Bob was always super easy to reach, and always very considerate of what we and our guests wanted. The whole experience was very personable and tailored to our vision. My husband and I still can’t believe how PERFECT everything turned out! And the food!!! Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was! Make sure to order the mac and cheese, it was to die for! I didn’t get the chance to eat much at the reception, but the staff wrapped up some for later, and boy was it delicious. And DJ Ray was INCREDIBLE!! Our friends are still talking about how our wedding was the most fun they had! He was incredible to work it, totally immersed in the whole indian wedding/music for our ceremony, and completed killed it during our reception! He totally felt our vibe with our “must-play” list, and honestly there was no one sitting down during the reception. It was amazing! Please do yourselves a favor, stop looking any further and book at Visions! Everything was flawless, and all because of Bob and Joanne. I can’t thank them enough for our perfect wedding and reception!

This venue is the absolute best. They did it all for us with no muss no fuss. They have a wedding planner that made everything go very smooth, the view is breath taking, and they were very professional. Thank you, Joanne and Bob! We pulled off the wedding of the century. The food was fantastic. I was told by many that the food was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The venue is beautiful, no need to decorate.

Listen, barn weddings are cool, but nothing beats a water view. There are two things that set Visions apart from others. First, Visions take care of just about everything you don't want to deal with; the set up and tear down plus all decorations and handling is not yours to worry about. Second, they are hands on in everything; the day of you are taken care of by the staff and by Joanne. It was a beautiful wedding and I only saw happy faces. Thanks again.

A totally stress free and fun wedding! Visions took care of everything for us. All I had to do was show up and say I do! The music selection was great for our group and everyone had a great time.

Amazing Day start to finish. Stunning views, very helpful and organized. Music was great, seating area was set up nicely....we only had ceremony there but it was amazing. My daughter and guests were very impressed!! We hot great pictures by the water :)

Bob and Joanne went above and beyond for mine and my husbands special day. They made the whole process super easy. We couldn't get enough compliments on the venue, the food, the DJ, or the view of the bay. I couldn't imagine a better venue to have my wedding at. Joanne was amazing coordinating the whole day and making sure it went perfect. Bob is an amazing chef, all of my guests loved and complimented us on the food. The prime rib was amazing! I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone that is getting married.

The venue is beautiful. The view from inside is beautiful. Bob and Jo came through on everything they promised. They were accommodating and easy to work with. The food was excellent. Service was superior. The minister, Linda, was wonderful. The DJ was excellent. We had a wonderful time.

What an amazing time! The planning leading up to our big day was low maintenance. Bob and Jo were very responsive. They certainly over delivered on the day of our wedding. Our guests loved the food and Jo made Elise's bridal party feel very special.

The day was flawless. Our daughters wedding including the reception at Visions was perfect. So thankful for choosing Visions. Joanne and Robert were very helpful throughout our planning. Our wedding was amazing at Visions! Jo and Bob went above and beyond to help us before and on our wedding day, so that we did not have to worry about anything on the day of. We actually got to enjoy the day and not stress, thanks to them. All of our guests were raving about the fantastic view also! I got many compliments saying this was the best wedding they have ever been to! 100% would recommend this venue for a wedding in TC!!!

The ease of planning and execution of our wedding reception at Visions at Centerpointe was unprecedented! Bob and Joanne work closely with you to make every detail seamlessly easy! First of all the venue...GORGEOUS! I loved having everything included...just bring the flowers, cake and booze! The food was delicious and enjoyed by all. Our DJ Ray was so great and worked with us to make our wedding uniquely our own. The staff was friendly and accommodating. You will not go wrong choosing Visions at Centerpointe for your meeting or celebration!

My husband and I had our reception at Visions and it was the best reception I have ever been to! (not being biased because it was my own :)) Jo and Bob made the whole day from planning to execution a breeze. The food was amazing as well as the service. (Shout out to the server for helping me in the bathroom as I was panicking getting food off my beautiful white dress) One key component that made the day even better at visions was DJ Ray. He kept the energy up and made the night memorable. To this day my guests are still talking about how there was not a lull in entertainment. Thank you Bob, Jo, Ray and all of the staff of visions for making our day the best ever!

Jo treats you like family, you see her passion in what she does you aren’t just another wedding they are conducting. They have top of the line food and accommodate a lot for different couples. Truely recommend visions for an affordable stressfree wedding.

Do not look elsewhere! Bob and Jo were absolutely phenomenal in assisting us with our welcome party. The venue was absolutely gorgeous (with indoor views and an outdoor balcony) , they were easy to communicate with throughout the planning, and the food was delicious! Most importantly, they took all the anxiety off of us and took care of all the minor details so that we could enjoy our night. I could not recommend this venue enough!

Our reception at Visions was absolutely outstanding! The entire staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and that everything was the way we wanted it. Bob and Jo were extremely responsive to any requests and questions before the day of (often within minutes), and were very helpful every step of the way, including room setup throughout the night. We changed plans a bit for playing our dance songs because we wanted to get additional pictures outside and Jo didn't miss a beat to make it happen. Every detail, including coordinating with our vendors, was taken care of. A couple times I went to go coordinate something, or talk to a member of the staff at the reception, and found it was already done and taken care of. The food was excellent. We had the chicken cordon bleu, and slow roasted beef, and upgraded for the smashed potato bar. People are still raving about the food and we got to take some home at the end of the night. The bartender was great and accommodating to the variety of drink ingredients we brought and making signature drinks. Since we were able to bring our own selection of beverages, we brought unique ingredients for our signature drinks that you probably wouldn't find at a lot of venues. Our DJ (Ray) was part of our Visions package. He was very helpful, enthusiastic, and a joy to work with as well and made sure we had a good time. He played a combo of songs we requested, along with others, and got everyone out on the dance floor for a true party when the sun started to set. We had a characterist and he was set up in the perfect spot at Bob and Jo's suggestion. Everyone loved the view and spent quite a bit of time outside on the balcony enjoying the weather. We truly couldn't have asked for better service from everyone involved, including our servers, the owners, bartender, and DJ. Everyone involved at Visions was absolutely wonderful. We are so glad we chose Visions for our reception. It was an experience we will never forget!

We had our reception at visions center point. Bob and Jo we’re both very helpful and attentive to our wants/ needs. The food was very delicious and we got nothing but compliments about it. Our one negative review is the DJ we had. At the tasting we asked to switch from John ( who did not show to the tasting) to Ray ( who they said was their best). After speaking with Ray he told us that he was a available for that day and he would be happy to do our wedding as long as it was ok with Bob. A day or two later we received a message that “ Ray had prior commitments and was unable to DJ for us” from Bob. We were assured that John was good but man we’re we mislead. We filled out a music sheet a week in advance with the songs we would like for each dance. Somehow with hand written instructions he managed to mess up our first dance song. When asked about it he stated he didint have that version of the song. Instead of speaking about this to us before hand he left it to be a surprise until we were on the dance floor. Being in 2018 with the World Wide Web at his fingertips one wonders how this is possible? After that I had some other complaints from guests and family that the music selection was terrible. I’m ashamed I had to pay money for the DJ service. A moment that was supposed to be magical was runied by incompetence. I recommend asking for another DJ or hiring your own.

Bob and Joe at Visions at Center Point was what made pur wedding as perfect as it was! Bob is a horse with many colors and not only makes sure your day is going to be perfect but cooks the food, offers to help book your honeymoon, and much more! His wife Joe helps with decorating and wedding planning close and on the big day! They offer decorations, dj, and food all in one package, along with setting up the tables and chairs! They are amazing and I can’t imagine our day running so smoothly without them and their amazing venue!

This was a perfect spot for our wedding! The view of the bay was priceless and the whole reception space was beautiful! The food was amazing and the DJ was top notch, he kept our family and friends dancing the whole night! Overall, there wasn’t a thing that we would’ve changed, it was a perfect night!

The venue is beautiful. Fantastic view of the Grand Traverse Bay. The Multi- level dance floor is amazing. The food was excellent! The staff was made us feel like we were the only ones there!

Bob and Jo at Visions were great! I can’t say enough about this venue! We’re so happy that we decided to have our wedding and reception here! Everything was perfect! They’re so organized and kept everything flowing nicely on our day. The food was fantastic and the service was great as well. We had Tony as our DJ and he was awesome - he kept the party going all night long! We loved that Visions did just about everything in house from decorating to DJ service to make it as easy as possible for us. The location is also amazing with the full wall of windows overlooking West Grand Traverse Bay - absolutely beautiful! Definitely worth it!

The view was BEAUTIFUL, and the food was delicious! We had contact with Bob regularly; didn't have much contact with Joanne until the rehearsal/wedding day. We were surprised by some last minute costs, but overall, we were very pleased we chose Visions for our wedding. GREAT staff!

Beautiful setting for a wedding reception. Both Jo and Bob were very professional. They reviewed the various checklists with us and also let us know what has worked well in the past for wedding receptions. Coordinated well with our outside caterer and the liquor store. The DJ they provided was awesome. Jo and Bob truly make the wedding planning less overwhelming. I highly recommend Visions at Centerpointe.

I would also encourage you to give Visions at Centerpointe an opportunity to make this time for you as easy and stress free as they made it for me and my husband. The staff are very courteous and professional. They are beautifully located right on the water, making for an extraordinary view that is priceless. The most breathtaking view as the sun goes down made for amazing pictures that will let us remember this wonderful day for the rest of our lives. Don't even get me started on how amazing all the food was. 5 star

Beautiful venue and absolutely wonderful overall experience. Bob and Joanne were fantastic to work with. They are very helpful, informative, and detailed..... it was great to have their guidance throughout the whole experience. Every time I called Jo with any questions, she answered her cell. We are from the Detroit area, so we planned the wedding (mostly) from a distance. They recommended great vendors to work with, which made the planning very smooth. So much is included with their packages, and we really didn't have to think about much on the day of the wedding except to enjoy everything and take it all in. The food was delicious -- and they offer SO many choices, from the appetizers to the main courses. You will not get your standard "chicken and mostaccioli" wedding menu here! I can also say that they are extremely affordable, compared to weddings in our area -- but offer so much more. The view of the bay and the boats are just beautiful. We are still receiving compliments on our day. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Bob, Jo and Visions to anyone seeking a Traverse City wedding.

We had an amazing wedding ceremony and reception at Visions at CenterPointe! After visiting the venue and seeing the 180 degree views of the marina, we instantly booked and planned the rest of the wedding remotely with Joe and Bob from Phoenix, Arizona. Everything turned out great. It was the perfect destination wedding...everything we hoped for and more. The bay-side ceremony was beautiful and the views at the reception were unbelievable and unique! We were so happy with everything from the food, to the music to the outstanding views. We also chose the best wedding cake (http://cakeconnectiontc.com/) and beautiful flowers (http://liliesofthealley.com/). Our photographer was out of this world AMAZING and took full advantage of the spectacular views in their photography (https://wsphotography.us/)!! I cannot say enough great things about Visions! We planned our out of town wedding at Visions and Jo and Bob were absolutely wonderful to work with. From our first meeting, I could tell they were very organized and that carried through our wedding day. They really make you feel like family. They were always available and happy to answer any questions we had. I always felt like they were happy and willing to help - no matter how silly our questions Everything went off perfectly the day before and of our wedding. The food was incredible and the service was even better. I was so thankful that I didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day because I knew they had it covered. Our guests absolutely loved the balcony overlooking the bay as well. It was the perfect venue for us and we really could not be happier with Visions!

Absolutely perfect! Everything with Bob and Jo is done with utmost attention to detail, nothing is a challenge with them even when unexpected guests are thrown in at literally the last minute. We would have changed nothing, perfection. Gorgeous venue, cozy seating areas if you want to get away for some quiet conversation, amazing food gorgeously presented, table settings and immaculate linens were so pretty. The fact that they can take care of dj, bartenders, waitstaff, security was wonderful. The venue has stunning views of the marina, West Grand Traverse Bay and Old Mission peninsula. If we could give them a 10, we would in a heartbeat. Our quiet guests had an amazing time dancing with our fun dj, he did an awesome job in getting the crowd out on the dance floor. We are thrilled with Visions. Thank you Bob and Jo for an amazing day, we had so much fun. It was the dream wedding we wanted for our daughter,

Bob and Jo did a FANTASTIC job from start to finish. They took care of everything for us which made for a gorgeous, stress free day! We have had innumerable positive comments from guests about the beautiful venue sight, service, professionalism, etc. Our DJ, Ray, did a great job as well - the dance floor was packed literally from start (6pm) to finish (12am)! Could not recommend all of these people more highly. They make everything so easy and the venue is breath-taking, especially at sunset!

Both Bob and Jo own Visions at Centrepoint and they were both amazing from the day we signed the contract to use their venue until the wedding day celebration was complete. THey coordinate just about everything for you and one of them is even present during the reception should anyone need anything or have questions. Visions provided the bartender and DJ and all of the wait staff. Bob makes all of the reception food himself, and it was absolutely delicious. THere’s a lot you can choose from too. In terms of price, it was pretty comparable to other reception sites in the Grant Traverse county area. Venues that were less expensive did not include some of the amenities that Visions offered, and they did not have the beautiful view overlooking the water like Visions did. We had questions throughout the wedding planning process, and Bob and Jo were always friendly and made sure we were given answers immediately. I cannot think of anything that I’d want Visions to improve upon for the future. It really was easy to do business with Bob and Jo. All in all, Visions made our wedding planning and wedding day stress-free and made it truly enjoyable!!!

View and location was amazing! Good quality food and was impressed with all the help.

I had my wedding on October 3, 2015 at Visions at CenterPointe. Working with Bob prior to the wedding was simple, everything was included! We did upgrade a few items (colored linens, stemware for toast and wine), but it was all very easy. I never really got stressed out planning our wedding, because Bob made everything simple. Then come to our wedding day, Jo was onsite and helped make sure EVERYTHING went smooth. She made us feel like we were royalty, waiting on us and taking great care of us. The DJ that is provided (we had Ray), was AMAZING!! He kept the music PG during the first hour or so, when we had a lot of kids present, but once the kids left and it was adults only, he tailored the music to fit the crowd that was left. He did a GREAT job!! Overall, I can't imagine having my special day anywhere else. This isn't even to mention the amazing venue itself and the view. WOW!! You can't get any better than here for a beautiful Northern Michigan wedding. They exceeded our expectations! If you decide to have your wedding here, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I had our beautiful reception at Visions! We came up north from the Detroit area for our Traverse City wedding and wanted a venue on the water. Visions provided a GORGEOUS reception space!! Our guests loved the balcony and the amazing views that the room provided. The food was amazing - our guests commented on how delicious their dinners were throughout the night! Bob and Jo were great to work with. They were very responsive and answered our questions almost immediately. Everything turned out exactly how they described it ... no surprises. The venue was well worth the money - we would recommend Visions in a heartbeat!

My fiancée and I were planning our wedding from out-of town, but Bob and Jo made the planning so easy and stress-free. I looked at several different venues in the area but Visions gave us the most bang for my buck. Included in the price were the gorgeous waterfront view, intimate ceremony sites, food, centerpieces, and a DJ. Bob and Jo were so accommodating that I could even personalize the centerpieces that were already included. I was hesitant about the food since it was not a seated service, but even the pickiest eaters at our wedding raved about the food the next day. We had roast beef and gravy, chicken cordon bleu, mac and cheese, roasted baby bakers, honey glazed carrots with cherries, green beans with almonds, a salad with an assortment of dressing, and dinner rolls. There is not one thing about the dinner service that I would change. There were several items that we chose to upgrade, but the pricing was reasonable, and the ballroom looked absolutely amazing on wedding day! Jo and Bob are true professionals. I was clueless about the wedding day events, but Jo led us through these with ease. Even when it started to rain 20 minutes before the ceremony, Jo and the staff quickly moved everything indoors without hesitation, and the indoor ceremony was just as beautiful. They treated us as more than clients, and there were many hugs at the end of the evening. I would highly recommend this venue to future brides who want to enjoy a relaxed day without going into debt.
