We hired Alissa for Day of Coordination for our wedding ceremony and reception at the Shinola Hotel. Without her, I don’t think I could have done it. She was so organized and helpful. She kept everyone on track at the rehearsal and at the wedding. Everything turned out absolutely perfect. We had the best day and she was a huge reason why! Definitely recommend!

We used vows and veils for both our flowers and for day of coordination. Alissa was absolutely amazing. She was so organized and truly made me feel at ease with all the “to dos” that go into planning a wedding. I had several virtual meetings with her prior to the day of that were very helpful. We had a ton of extra items to put out on display and she made it look perfect. And the flowers and table settings were absolutely beautiful! My day ran so smoothly because of her. I highly recommend!

Alissa was our day-of coordinator. She went above and beyond to learn our Jewish wedding customs so that we could spend our day enjoying each other and our families. She did a great job coordinating all of the vendors during the last few weeks before the wedding, which was a huge stress reliever. We also loved her flexibility with virtual venue walk-through since we were planning our wedding from Oregon when we were not getting in to Michigan until the weekend before the big day. We enjoyed the help & day you helped cultivate for us :)

Alissa, did such a wonderful job, and I could not be happier. After my florist fell though she also ended up doing both my day of coordination and flowers. I could not have been more in love with my flowers. Everything went so smoothly and I didn't have to worry about anything the day of my wedding!

Alissa is beyond amazing! She was our day-of coordinator (but did so much more than that!) She is extremely organized, keeps you on task during the planning process, and is always there for questions. She and her assistant Corrina went above and beyond our vision for the reception space, it was beautiful and made me cry when I saw it all set up. One of their greatest tools is their calming presence - both Alissa and Corrina made wedding stress melt away as we knew they had everything handled between the two of them.

Alissa was so extremely helpful on our NYE wedding day! I hired her for day of coordination but it was so much more than that. She uses an awesome planning app that has timelines, packing lists, layouts, RSVP tracking, etc. On top of that she made sure everything was cleaned up and done at the end of the night. I didn’t have to touch a single thing! I honestly couldn’t have done the day without her and am so appreciative!! Highly recommend her business.

Alissa is the absolute BEST. She is so organized and really puts in so much effort beyond what she has to. She makes you feel so comfortable and reminds you of everything that you may not think of on your own. Nick, her assistant, is also so sweet and helpful. She has everything together even when a million things are going on. I cannot imagine not having her for our day, everything would have been so different and less organized. She just had a baby and was still doing everything on time and professionally. Thank you soooo much, Alissa! You are the best :)

Alissa was absolutely AMAZING. Our wedding was postponed twice due to the pandemic, and she hung with us, and kept everything on track through all of it. She made sure that everything was so perfectly scheduled and organized that I was able to entirely relax on the day. She also totally grasped the vision my husband and I had for the day - the things we cared about, the things we didn't - and fully realized the party of our dreams. On top of it all Alissa is so kind, warm, and thoughtful. We can't recommend her enough!

Alissa has done floral for my daughter's birthday party for 2 years now, and I can't imagine having a party without her gorgeous work. She takes all decoration pressure off of me. Alissa puts so much care and attention into her work, and all she needs from me is screenshots of my inspiration! She effortlessly brings my visions to life, and if I am confused, she gives me honest direction and educates me throughout the process. I wish I was getting married all over again so I could have her plan my wedding! Instead, I just have to refer her to everyone I know!

Alissa was the absolute best to work with! She was always quick to respond and always had an answer to my questions. She was very informative and took the time to meet with me to plan out exactly what I wanted for a large wedding order. The flowers turned out even better than I could have imagined!! We ordered a large gazebo display that Alissa and her team came to assemble before the ceremony and returned to take down after the whole event. I would highly recommend!!

One of the best decisions I made throughout my wedding planning process was having Alissa as our Day-Of Coordinator and Florist! She is so professional, organized, and pleasant to work with. I really loved her online planning platform, which helped me so much to organize my thoughts and be reminded of little things that I probably would've forgotten without her help! Throughout our meetings, she asked thorough questions and took notes of everything we discussed which was useful when I would go back to check over things, or she would give recommendations of what would work best if I were still unsure about details. The day of the wedding brought such relief because I knew Alissa was taking care of the set-up and last minute details, and she would make sure everything looked beautiful! Her florals and design took my breath away and it was so fun to see our visions come to life! Everything was absolutely stunning. Alissa helped keep us on track for our timeline, communicated well with our other vendors, and even brought us water during our outdoor photos (it was very hot that day!). I am so happy that we used Vows & Veils for our wedding day, and would recommend Alissa over and over again!

Alissa put me at ease from our first consultation. I was over planning and making choices after our third venue change. Her organization as our coordinator took off so of the weight and our wedding with without a hitch despite the constant changes. The flowers were stunning. I gave a general idea of what I wanted and she carried out that vision more beautifully than I could have imagined. I highly recommend. Vows & Veils for both a florist and coordinator.

The floral arrangements turned out exactly as we were hoping they would. In talking to Alissa she had a great idea to take the large floral arrangement from the gazebo at our ceremony and repurpose them as the floral arrangements for the head table at the reception. From the bouquets and boutonnieres to the centerpieces and gazebo arrangements everything was perfect.

Alissa was amazing! The recommended vendors were all great. Alissa walked our daughter through every step of the planning process offering suggestions and guidance where needed. This allowed for a stress-free process! She kept us on task and nothing was overlooked or missed. The ceremony and reception flowers done by Alissa were gorgeous and perfect for the venue. We had last minute changes and Alissa kept us calm through it all! I would highly recommend Alissa!

Alissa was absolutely fantastic to work with, and the floral arrangements that were produced for our day were magnificent! Through several planning sessions Alissa worked with us to get our dream flowers, and fit exactly to our budget. She had expert knowledge of Pine Knob Mansion that helped tremendously - from knowing the dimensions of the gazebo off the top of her head, to reminding us about the cocktail tables - she had it all covered! We rescheduled our wedding, and through it all Alissa gave us her time and support, not batting an eye at the last minute centerpiece changes that we needed. She was so supportive through the process, and so professional the day of, I couldn't have asked for more.

We could not have made our wedding day happen without Alissa! In between our engagement and our big day we moved twice (once across the country), endured a pandemic, and were planning our event from another state. Alissa kept us on track and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. She was mindful of our budget, something my husband appreciated a lot. She can keep her cool in any situation and did a fantastic job guiding us through changing our ceremony site a month before the wedding. Alissa was a true pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning process! She was always very timely in her responses and executed our vision perfectly. From our perspective as first time parents of the bride, we initially underestimated the importance of having a wedding planner for our daughter's and son-in-law's wedding. Hired by the bride and groom, Alissa quickly proved that she was an essential and invaluable part of our team. We first met Alissa on the day we reviewed potential venues for the wedding. Alissa had arranged meetings at 4 sites, covering a range of venue styles and settings. She was punctual, friendly and very helpful in pointing out the potential assets and liabilities in each location, all without being the least bit intrusive in our family discussions. Her experience was very helpful. As our planning process confronted the realities of the COVID situation, we found Alissa to be a much needed ally in adjusting our plans to accommodate the new reality. She was flexible, understanding and took a leadership role in representing our needs within a highly uncertain COVID environment. Long story short, we revised our plans to include an intimate outdoor wedding in October, 2020 and a full, indoor wedding late in 2021. Alissa's execution of all responsibilities associated with the role of wedding planner has been flawless. She can focus on small details and still maintain complete awareness of the big picture. She is trustworthy, industrious and customer focused. We wholeheartedly recommend Alissa not only as a terrific wedding planner but also as a very kind and pleasant person.

Being in a real bind and under a time restraint, we asked Alissa if she could possibly help us with memorial arrangements for a very close family member. As she does with all her event planning and floral pieces, she asked many questions regarding our needs and proceeded to create exactly what we wanted. She was a real lifesaver for us.

I am writing this review after working with Vows & Veils and Alissa for my Bridal Shower flower arrangements. I decided to work with Vows & Veils to help coordinate my wedding, as I live out of state. After finding out that she does floral arrangements too, I decided to check with her to see if she could potentially put together a few pretty fall arrangements for the head table at my shower. Honestly, my sister & I were planning to go to Trader Joe’s a few days before the shower and buy whatever fresh flowers they had to put in small vases throughout the rest of the venue – so I was hoping for 1-2 “professional” arrangements as the focal point incase my DIY approach didn’t work out so well! By the time I had asked Alissa a couple of months out from my shower, she already committed to providing flowers for another wedding on the same day. BUT, instead of just sticking to what I’m sure was an already really busy project for her, she didn’t turn me away. Instead she quickly thought of a creative approach. She offered to order flowers for me along with her wedding order and put together the arrangements 2 nights before my shower. Typically, she would have put them together the day before and delivered them to the venue the day of, but she found a way to make my order work by putting them together and letting me pick them up from her! As if that wasn’t already enough – once she learned of my vision and DIY plan for the rest of the flowers, she offered to put a quote together with some of her flower suggestions for the bud vases I already picked out & the deep fall floral colors that were on my shower invites. When I got her quote and design suggestions back, it was a no brainer! I was literally SHOCKED at how pretty the flowers were that she picked out for the price, and I never thought twice about doing my own after that. I instantly watched the whole look/feel of my shower come to life! I know it may sound a little over the top – but something about having my own personal floral designer for my Bridal Shower felt so fun and exciting! I was really looking forward to this part the most out of all of the décor I had picked out. So, to bring the story full circle – Alissa made the most beautiful fall focal arrangements with greenery, deep purple flowers, berries, Antique Pink Hydrangeas, and so much more. She also made the PRETTIEST tall & short bud vases featuring TOFFEE roses! I mean, I never even knew something so pretty and unique existed! And to top it off, she sent me home with some extra vases of pretty arrangements because she had some flowers left over 😊 All in all, the flowers were a huge hit! I put bud vases on the desert table, the welcome table, the bar, the guest tables, etc. They added the prettiest touch and pop of color and made everything look really elegant. They were very well done. Everyone loved them so much, they took them home with them! I was so sad to leave them behind in Michigan when I had to fly back home - they still looked pretty almost a week later! I highly recommend Vows & Veils for event flowers – the customer service, experience, quality, and price are second to none!

There are so many wonderful things to say about Alissa but most importantly, SHE WAS THE MOST VALUABLE THING I spent money on for my wedding! She was hired as a day-of-coordinator for our August 2019 wedding. We invited 320 guests and had a very D-I-Y wedding. Ended up with 260 attendees. Our wedding was outside, under a tent, with food trucks. This was not a venue, just a field. Therefore, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, had to be chosen and arranged by yours truly but Alissa made it happen. We met three times before the wedding to ensure I was staying on track and that everything would be ready for the big day. After leaving our meetings I always felt better prepared and more organized! Alissa has worked for so many weddings that she now has some connections in the wedding world and can refer you to a company/vendor, (ie: wedding transportation). You can trust her recommendations and that she would use that vendor herself. Besides all the minor details that Alissa helped me stay on task with, she also has a wonderful website that made things extremely easy to follow and picture. I am very type-A and I appreciated having the ability to use her site to figure out the best layout for our wedding. You can provide pictures of other weddings/pinterest ideas that you like the look of so that Alissa can help you achieve that look, and she does it flawlessly. Alissa met at our location for the rehearsal dinner and set up the tables and chairs (260 of them!) so that our bridal party could get a better idea of what the next day would be like. THE DAY OF...WOW! Alissa was there by 0800-0900 a.m. and didn't leave until all linens were put away and all tables and chairs were stacked for pick up, probably closer to 0100 a.m. Her crew worked extremely hard and it couldn't have been better. If there was an issue, I was never aware and as a bride, you should be focusing on your new husband and enjoying the day. HONESTLY I WISH I COULD GIVE HIGHER THAN 5 STARS! USE VOWS AND VEILS! ALISSA WILL MAKE YOUR DAY BETTER THAN THE BEST! Save yourself the headache and stress and enjoy your wedding planning process and of course the big day! Congrats to you on your engagement!

Working with Alissa has been an absolute dream. We first connected in September of 2019 to plan our October 2020 wedding, which was postponed until October 2021 to ensure the safety of our 100+ guests. She has been wonderful through every step—from planning, to rescheduling, and then jumping in as a day-of coordinator and floral designer for our reimagined backyard wedding this fall. Her thoughtful, calm approach to work never failed to put us at ease as we were navigating a tumultuous time. Every step of the process has been smooth because Alissa took the time to get to know my husband and I as individuals; recommending vendors, decor, and advice she knew would be a uniquely good fit for us. We never imagined that planning a wedding from across the country as we balanced busy jobs could be so easy, but Alissa never failed to keep us on track and excited about the decisions we were making. We're so glad to have had her expertise and support as we planned an intimate outdoor ceremony and reception at my childhood home in three months (which went off without a hitch). She rolled with every decision and change that came her way and helped to turn it into an absolutely gorgeous evening that was more than we ever hoped for. Creative problem solving, clear communication, and trust went such a long way and we couldn't have asked for more. We can't want to resume our partnership in the new year and make our original plans a reality! After two years and two weddings with Alissa, she (and her team, husband, and pups) are part of the family. We can't recommend her highly enough!

We hired Alissa to create floral arrangements for a party. I definitely dream with Pinterest at my fingertips...and sent Alissa all of my grandiose ideas. I gave her full creative control from there, and we were NOT disappointed! The arrangements she created were absolutely gorgeous. She made 2 sizes and even helped me choose vases. I couldn't find any vases for the larger arrangements, and she found the perfect ones for us. She was prompt, easy to work with, and has an amazing eye. I refer her to everyone with wedding, event and floral needs!

Alissa crafted stunning florals and served as day-of planner (and butterfly-whisperer!) for sister-in-law's memorial service. While this event was somewhat the opposite of a wedding, we wanted to treat the celebration of her life as a beautiful, joyous occasion. Knowing Alissa's flawless attention to detail and stylish aesthetic, I felt confident that she would be the right person to help bring our vision to life. The result was a gorgeous setting overflowing with sunlight, flowers, music, and flitting butterflies–an appropriate commemoration of life and love.

Alissa embodies the "get it done mentality". From handling other vendors before the wedding, to tearing down wedding decorations at one am. A month later I'm finally confident in saying that our wedding went off perfectly, in no small part due to all of Alissa's hard work. My father went from thinking I had lost my whole mind hiring a wedding planner to trying to talk his work buddies into getting wedding planners for their kids weddings. Alissa allowed me to actually enjoy my wedding, I was not stressed, I was not anxious, my wedding day had been the best day of my life thus far.

I could not have had a successful wedding without the help of Alissa. She and her team made my day completely stress free!! The whole process leading up to our day was seamless, she made herself available after typical working hours and made it easy for somebody who has a busy schedule to do video chats. When I needed a question answered, I could always count on Alissa for a prompt response. The tools she used made sure that everything kept on pace throughout the process. She really made it an easy process and did so well the day of - I would definitely recommend Alissa!

We LOVED Alissa at Vows and Veils! We debated having a wedding planner, and I am SO grateful we did afterall!! There is NO way our wedding would have been as amazing without her. She took so much stress away! She helped make decisions, went with us to all our appointments, found us AMAZING vendors, and went so above and beyond for us! The one tip I received from everyone that has planned a wedding before was to get a day of coordinator, and we were thrilled with the recommendation we got to use Alissa - she was an absolute life saver! No one ever really prepares you or teaches you what you need to know to have a wedding, and thankfully we had Alissa to guide us through everything. Paul and I moved across the country but still needed to plan our wedding in Michigan and Alissa was very accommodating with our schedules and making sure we were on track with what we needed. We were impressed with Alissa's conciseness and all the questions she had that we hadn't even thought of when it came to our final walkthrough. Despite our unconventional venues and their lack of organization, Alissa was able to get all their ducks in a row and provide us with a perfect day! In addition to helping us plan, she also did our florals which made it nice to have one less vendor to coordinate with! The bouquets were beautiful and she delivered exactly what I wanted despite the little direction I gave her. If you're having trouble planning or just want peace of mind, hire Alissa! She's amazing, worth every penny and will not disappoint!

Alissa was a life save for the day of our wedding. We had a tent wedding so we had to bring in EVERYTHING ourselves. There was so much to organize and she was there for helping us with each step. She thought of so much that didn't even cross my mind. There were a lot of moving parts the day of the wedding that needed to be coordinated and she was able to execute on each one. We are so happy we chose Alissa as our day of coordinator. We cant thank her enough!!

I cannot say enough good things about working with Alissa from Vows & Veils. I am a very organized and scheduled person, and debated on using a wedding coordinator for a while because I thought I wouldn't need it... I can honestly say I am SO EXTREMELY happy that I did. I met with Alissa a few times leading up to the wedding, each time she gave me new things to think about and plan for. In the weeks leading up to the wedding she kept me on schedule with reminders and tasks that needed to be completed with suggested due dates (loved it!). I was absolutely blown away by her day of service. She was organized and diligently worked to get everything just how I had wanted it, all while I was upstairs relaxing and drinking mimosas. It was such a nice peace of mind knowing she was handling everything for me. I had a minor hiccup day of with the venue, and as soon as I told Alissa about it she handled it immediately and it was corrected within the hour. From the planning process, to stepping in and running our rehearsal, and to everything she did for us on our wedding day.... I truly cannot recommend working with her enough!

Sheila S. - Alissa, of Vows and Veils was the best. We could not have had the perfect wedding for our daughter without her. She set everything up on the day of and made sure everything ran smoothly. Even when we decided at the last minute, due to weather, to move the wedding back outside she made that transition seamless for everyone. She is a true professional and it was one of the best things we did for our daughters wedding, because we didn't have to worry about anything knowing she had our back.

I cannot begin to say enough great things about Alissa. Obviously never having a wedding before there was a lot of stuff i didn’t know that went into the big day. She covered every little detail even up to the way the napkins were folded and even took them home and folded them herself. She is a wedding expert! On the day of the wedding she took care of EVERYTHING and she did it exactly how i wanted it. I am super picky and i had nothing to complain about! I switched the ceremony site from indoor to outdoor and then back inside about 3 times on her and then 5 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start i decided to have it outside and Alissa moved everything in that time frame. She is a miracle worker and so dedicated to her business and clients. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to help me on the big day!

Alissa is PHENOMENAL! I contacted her a few months before getting engaged because I worked full time and was in school full time and I knew I was going to need help! Life throws curve balls and I was diagnosed with cancer just after my engagement. Alissa to the rescue! She is was everything I couldn’t be during my treatment: organized, creative, fun, reliable and has an amazing attention to detail! She has been in the industry for a while and has prefered vendors, all whom I used and I loved. She brought my ideas of a fall garden wedding to life, brought new ideas that I didn’t think of and was a voice of reality when I needed it. She communicated with my vendors well and took the task of challenging conversations in stride. She worked so well with my mother, who has been dreaming of planning a wedding for years; they made a great team. Alissa and I used an online application to keep track of guests, vendors, expenses, timelines and to-do lists. The application can even email you what your weekly tasks are! A must have when you are busy! Alissa picked up lunch for myself and the bridesmaids as we were getting ready, on her way to my venue. Several things were not set up correctly/weren’t working and I had no idea, she fixed it all before I was even there! All while being sweet and fun, she is just great at her job, and she loves what she does. After our first meeting, I have recommended day of coordinators to all of my engaged friends, her especially. She was truly the life savor that I needed! My husband and I are beyond grateful!

To this day, I will tell every person I meet who's planning a wedding that getting a day-of coordinator was the best decision I made during planning, and I definitely think that's because of how competent, reliable, and awesome Alissa is. From the planning ahead of time to the rehearsal dinner organization, to the very end of our special night, when she made sure we could go have fun with friends while our venue was deconstructed and decorations made their way to our hotel room - Alissa was there and making it all happen. We couldn't be more grateful or happy to have had her there.

Alissa was my day of coordinator for my wedding this summer and I cannot begin to express what a wonderful experience it was. Leading up to the day and on the day of, I had such little stress that my friends and family commented on it, and that was largely due to Alissa. She is extremely organized, she has an amazing user friendly online platform that quickly replaced my own excel spreadsheets, and she was incredibly flexible, which was key given my husband and I do not live in MI. Overall, she had a good working relationship with all my vendors and knew exactly what I needed on the day and handled absolutely everything from providing tums to packing up all the gifts. Her services were probably one of my favorite things I spent money on for my wedding as it definitely made a difference in how I experienced the day. Oh, and she is a sweetheart as well!

Less than 30 days before our dream wedding and planning from half way across the country, and we brought Alissa on board. Best. Decision. Ever. Let me tell you - this girl is ORGANIZED, and is SO awesome to work with. Even our other vendors were complimenting her to my husband and I. Even though we had done a lot of planning ourselves ahead of time, her attention to detail, organization, awesome personality and last minute ideas and suggestions made all of the difference. We would not have been able to enjoy our wedding as much as we did without her and would recommend her to anyone.

As a bride, and the first in my family to get married, the wedding planning process was overwhelming at first, but being the type-A person I am, I made a timeline and started crossing things off the list. Things were going fine until about 6 months before the wedding when I realized I was literally the only person who knew my vision for the wedding day, and I didn’t want to be putting together the cookie table, telling vendors where to set up, and dealing with any last minute changes. That is when I found Alissa. I never would have thought I would have hired a wedding coordinator, but in hindsight, I couldn’t have been more wrong. We hired Alissa to do our day-of coordinating and I can’t imagine re-doing the day without her. She was always flexible in our meeting times and locations, which is nice for a couple who does so much traveling. She asked questions about things I hadn’t thought of and provided advice on things I didn’t know I needed. She contacted all of my vendors to make a wedding day plan and did so without my involvement, allowing me to focus on other tasks. Even on the day of, she was able to make the day go seamlessly as she worked her magic to make our day perfect. All of the minor hiccups I found out about later on were well covered up during the day (even to the one who planned it all) because of her perfectionism and great communication. She did things I didn’t even ask her to do and was the fairy godmother I never had. I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Alissa and Vows & Veils, and I promise if you book with her you will not be disappointed. Alissa made my wedding day a DREAM. We had her as our "day of" wedding coordinator (but she does any package beyond your expectations). To start off, she communicated with my vendors and gathered whatever information was needed from them. She was great with giving advice and was WONDERFUL with answering questions, no matter how "silly" I thought I was by asking something. In short, the few months of meetings and final detail planning that I had with her was nothing short of perfection. Now on the day of, we absolutely couldn't have done it without her. She executed my dream "look" exactly the way I wanted and MORE. It was never "too much" or too many things to set up, she did it flawlessly...and without me having to stress about it at all. Not only the set up was perfect, but the timeline as well. She made sure we were on track, the vendors knew what they were doing and when, and the tasks we needed done were done. Alissa is kind, understanding, organized, efficient, and FUN! She will make your dream wedding happen. So SOOOO thankful for her and Vows & Veils. My husband and I cannot get over what a wonderful job she did and we had friends and family complimenting her amazing job as well!

I hired Alissa the owner of Vows and Veils for 2 weddings in the last 5 months!!! Yes, one daughter was married December 23 2017 and my other daughter just got married 2 days ago, May 12 2018!!! For the first wedding I hired her as a day of coordinator only, in which she did an awesome job of helping me through how to organize the first wedding for any of my kids. This most recent wedding I hired her once again as a day of coordinator, but also ended up having her hire extras to help work the wedding. This was a backyard wedding, that had a lot of last minute changes due to 100% chance of rain! Her staff was all great, friendly respectful and clean cut! Hopefully I will get a bit longer break before my next kid gets married! But when that day comes, if I am responsible for the wedding for my son, then I will be hiring Vows and Veils for full service coordinator! She made sure that I was actually able to enjoy the weddings of both my daughters! I cannot day enough nice things about Vows and Veils!!!!

Alissa with Vows & Veils was amazing and an imperative part of our wedding planning team! I was planning my wedding while living outside of the country and could not have done it without her! She thought of everything and brought up ideas/questions/potential problems that I didn't even think of. My mom has planned many, many parties and we thought we had things handled... We hired Alissa because we thought it couldn't hurt and let me tell you my mom and I have said so many times how we are so glad that we did and we couldn't have done it without her! Alissa stayed around the night of the wedding to just make sure everything ran smoothly and was a Jack of all trades! At one point we ran out of liquor and she made a run to the local liquor store for us! I highly, highly suggest her and her service to everyone I know that is getting married as she was an awesome help and great at diffusing unavoidable wedding stress!

Alissa was a dream come true when it came to day of coordination for my wedding in June 2017. I know it's overwhelming to try and find the perfect person to help coordinate your special day, but SHE. IS. IT. Alissa is prompt in her communication, her pricing is reasonable, and her demeanor is always calm, cool, and collected. This is especially important on the day of when everyone else is overwhelmed and (sometimes) freaking out. Alissa met with me, my mom, and mother-in-law several times to go over details and expectations. She was thorough, precise, and her attention to detail paid off with how smooth the day of the wedding was. Of course, there are always bumps and hiccups on the big day, but there was not a single one that Alissa couldn't handle. I don't know how she did it, but she was always right there when I needed her. Actually, this goes for the bridesmaids, moms, and vendors too! She was always right there for them. She anticipated needs before they were verbalized, she knew the answer to every question asked, and if by chance she wasn't sure, she knew exactly who to ask. The smallest details were covered by Alissa and they were the things that my mom and I hadn't even thought about ahead of time. This included getting all of the gifts up to the hotel room from the reception, picking up after the bridesmaids, and being responsible for everyone's wristlets/purses/shoes. She was even able to find my seamstress in the sea of people during cocktail hour and bring her to help bustle my dress when we were having an issue. I could give a thousand more anecdotes and examples of how great Alissa is, but you should find out for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

Planning a wedding is insane. My wife and I thought if we began planning way in advance (over a year in advance!) it would be smooth sailing as the wedding got closer. Not the case... It’s gusty, unpredictable, sailing with all kinds of obstacles to hit along the way. There are way too many things to coordinate - especially as the day of the wedding approaches. After hiring Alissa with Vows & Veils, she met regularly with us, listened to what we like and what we despise about modern weddings, gave us tips based on our likes/dislikes, and organized our events/vendors/guests/decor into a detailed binder. The day of our wedding, she coordinated and acted as the go-to contact for confused people that would have otherwise texted/called/tracked us down. Alissa has strong leadership skills, is an organizational wizard, understands the madness of a wedding, and is a great person to work with.
