I hired VOX DJs for my wedding last weekend for DJ and photo booth services and we had a varied experience with them. Overall, I've come away from this experience not feeling like a priority to them at all with the exception of Lara, the Event ...Specialist. She was wonderful in quickly finding us a replacement DJ when the first one we chose couldn't be bothered to schedule our initial phone meeting. The replacement DJ was awesome during our first meeting/call and advised that we would receive our schedule and song lists two weeks after that call. I had to follow up three times for the information and we didn't receive it until the week of the wedding, which was almost a month later. It was a very "The check's in the mail..." feeling and not something I wanted to leave until the last minute. I will say that our DJ was great at the wedding, which is why I would recommend VOX DJs for this service, but be prepared to fight for them. I understand that people are busy, but being in customer service myself, the last thing you want is for your customer to walk away feeling like less than a priority. I am still scratching my head about what happened with our photo booth. I had, in an email, written confirmation of our preferences for the booth backdrop and photo frame. When we walked into our reception I noticed that the backdrop was not what I had chosen. Upon inquiry, I was advised that the booth operator didn't have clear direction about which backdrop I wanted and asked the reception coordinator, who didn't have a clue as to what my preference was as it was never discussed with her. Is this a trivial detail? Perhaps, but when you're paying a lot of money for something and it's been clearly stated what you want, the error seems pretty inexplicable. So, overall, VOX DJs was okay but be prepared to fight and overcommunicate for what you want - and don't expect to be 100% heard.
