Wachesaw Plantation Club is a waterfront wedding venue situated in Murrells Inlet, SC, along the picturesque Waccamaw River. Here, couples can plan their dream day immersed in natural beauty and scenery that includes large oak trees, water features, rolling golf greens, and more. The traditional clubhouse is nestled amidst beautiful grounds and features a red brick exterior and wraparound white porch that set the tone for refined revelry. At this elegantly appointed country club, the experienced team wants to make each couple’s vision come to life. You can celebrate your nuptials outdoors under a stunning ancient oak, with pristine chairs lining the lawn. Loved ones can look on as you say ‘I do’ overlooking the peaceful waterfront. Afterward, while guests mingle on the white porch and beyond for cocktail hour, you can explore the grounds for photo ops at any one of the country club's beauty spots. Evening receptions are held in the grand ballroom or in an upscale marquee on the lawn, both of which have space for up to 250 people. This elegant space exudes timeless sophistication, with full-length French doors, Georgian-style windows, and polished wooden floors among the interior highlights. The large windows allow natural light to pour in throughout the evening and offer scenic views of the manicured grounds. Brayer is a graduate of Erskine College and has over 20 years in the food and beverage industry.

This venue is pure magic. I was so distraught in my wedding venue search in this area until I drove into Wachesaw to meet with Brayer. The biggest thing I wanted for my wedding day...

was the giant live oak trees draped with Spanish moss. So many places wanted to charge you the cost of your firstborn child just for a piece of grass and some trees, with nothing else included. Wachesaw's pricing was incredibly reasonable, and I loved that I didn't have to separately coordinate food and drinks and try to impossibly calculate the realistic cost. The ambiance is everything. Wachesaw's trees were BEYOND anything in my wildest dreams. And the waterfront on the Waccamaw River!! It was heaven. I am tearing up now remembering how magical it was that day. You get an indoor area, a beautiful restaurant with a screen porch and wraparound deck, as well as the entire outdoor lawn area, which was incredible. Most places would charge double if you wanted to use both spaces. The food was to die for. We had sushi and veggie options to appease me, and a variety of meats for my husband. Brayer made sure to fix us both a plate and kept making sure we were fed and happy. Brayer, the wedding coordinator, is an angel. She was the only person in the wedding venue industry that I encountered who wasn't pushy, fake, or trying to rush me into anything. She was calm, warm, and genuinely listened to us and tried to get to know us. She was a breath of fresh air and helped us with all the details, including vendor recommendations and day-of coordination. She helped keep us on time and kept us to a schedule, I still have friends and family that talk about our wedding months later, and how it was the wedding of the century. You will love this venue.

not a single snafu that fazed them for even a minute. They were flexible to give us what we wanted and had so many options for our ceremony and reception. We had some allergy and dietary concerns that were all met. The planning was amazing, the food was amazing, the service was amazing, the venue is gorgeous and I cannot rave enough about Wachesaw Plantation and our amazing wedding day!

levels low. When we chose our venue we really were unsure of how all this was going to go. My now husband and I are not great planners but Brayer was helpful in any way she could be. On the day her and her staff were very attentive to any needs we could have. We also had to postpone our wedding from May to October due to COVID and she even made it happen that we could get married on a Friday which normally they do not do because they have member dinner there at Kimbels when we could not find a Saturday that fit our schedules. The venue has the most beautiful spanish moss and I would recommend it again and again!

responsive and very easy to communicate with. All my pricing / set up questions were answered , transparency was great! We searched all over the area ( we were living in Charleston at the time) and $ wise this was great. Beautiful setting, amazing food and way more affordable than any immediate Charleston venue we looked at for the number of guests ( we ended up with 85). My parents were very happy with everything. We were able to coordinate and stay onsite which was perfect for the family and bridesmaids the day before and day of. Highly recommend and thank you Brayer!

we knew this was where we wanted to have our special day. Brayer was so wonderful and calm as we met with her several times during our engagement. The day of was nothing less than special. We cannot say enough about Brayer and her team. Even during a pandemic, they made sure that everything was perfect and went off without any problems. The chef's food was out of this world! He had to make last minute adjustments and changes due to CDC regulations, and we cannot get over how beautiful the presentation still was. Our guests raved about all of the food especially the late night hand passed truffle french fries we had. The staff and bartenders were professional and accommodating. Our wedding day at Wachesaw was so special. I would recommend this venue to everybody.

ocess, Brayer was there listening to our wants, needs, and providing insight to make sure our day played out just how we hoped. It rained all morning and early afternoon the day of our wedding. We kept in close contact with Brayer to determine if the ceremony would be inside or out. We took a gamble, decided to do the ceremony outside, and we had the full support of the staff. Everything was set up perfectly, and the rest of the day just fell into place. From the great food, to the handmade made old-fashions, to the kind and professional staff, to Brayer with the support and backing the day of and help and guidance leading up to the wedding, Wachesaw Plantation exceeded our expectations. The best decision that day was marrying my now wife; the second best was choosing Wachesaw Plantation as our wedding venue. Again, thank you everyone that was involved with our day.

She was patient and served as my planner the day of. My dad made a large, wooden arbor for the ceremony and she was very helpful letting us set up the day before and take it home a day or so later. I can’t say enough good things about this venue. It was such a gorgeous day, and everything ran so smoothly.

Her team and the chef at Wachesaw created a menu special for us that included a gourmet grilled cheese bar that our guests are still raving about a month later. re lovely setting for a ceremony or reception. The ceremony on the bluff of the river with the Spanish moss hanging from the trees is absolutely breath taking. It makes for some gorgeous pictures!! The venue with the veranda and decks is just perfect for a southern charm wedding. Being from the north I can tell you that "southern hospitality" is real at Wachesaw. Brayer and her staff could not have been any more accommodating and friendly yet very professional. The food and drink were excellent also! I would love to relive my daughters wedding again because everything from beginning to end was just perfect at Wachesaw!! I recommend 110%!!

grounds were immaculate and we loved that there were so many different areas for our guests to explore - the bluff where we had our ceremony, the lower deck, the upper deck, the veranda, the porch, the tavern/bar area, and of course the main dining area. Since all of our guests were from Pennsylvania, Virginia, and California, they were truly in awe of the southern beauty that Wachesaw offers! Our wedding photos are GORGEOUS!!! But, Brayer, the event coordinator, was the best part about our experience here! I cannot say enough good things about her. She is SO incredibly kind, relaxed, calming, professional, and great at what she does! All of our guests were from out of town, so we constantly had family and friends wanting to visit the venue. I am sure this was annoying, but Brayer and the staff were always so accommodating! I also e-mailed her with a million questions before our wedding and she always responded promptly and professionally. Our wedding day went so smoothly - all thanks to Brayer!!! fortuenlty mother nature didn't allow this to happen. Last minute we needed to move everything inside. Brayer (event planner at Wachesaw) and her team did a WONDERFUL job in doing so without stressing any of us out. She was so attentive to all of our needs and made our day extremely special. The food, and I'm talking about every piece, was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Wachesaw for your special day as they know how to make it all about you and cater to all of your needs.
