Blush Weddings, with Lauren as our lead coordinator, did an amazing job making our dream wedding a reality. We would highly recommend Blush Weddings and the Marriott Waikoloa to any couple planning a wedding in the Kona area. From the beginning, Lauren truly understood our vision and priorities. She not only executed everything we envisioned, but also provided creative ideas and suggestions for details we never would have thought of on our own. Lauren excelled in communication and organization throughout the planning process. Despite the time difference between Hawaii and the mainland, she was always incredibly responsive to emails and calls. From detailed questionnaires and planning updates to timeline reminders, her communication was exceptional. She also helped us stay within budget and kept us informed about upcoming expenses every step of the way. One of the most valuable aspects of working with Lauren was how much vendor coordination she handled directly. She served as the primary point of contact for nearly all of our vendors and was always included in communications, ensuring everyone stayed aligned. For each vendor category, she provided a curated list of trusted professionals along with examples of their work, making the selection process easy and stress-free. As a destination wedding couple, this was invaluable. Our ceremony was also held at a private residence that had never hosted a wedding before, yet every recommendation—from our florist, string quartet, photographer, videographer, photo booth, and hair and makeup artists—was outstanding. On the wedding day, Lauren and her team created a detailed timeline so that every vendor, member of the wedding party, and family member knew exactly where to be and when. The entire day ran seamlessly. Behind the scenes, Lauren coordinated countless details we never had to think about, from ensuring vendors had gate codes and parking instructions to gently directing guests away from reserved seating before the ceremony. Because of her attention to detail, we were able to focus entirely on enjoying our wedding and spending time with family and friends. The venue itself was fantastic. We selected the luau grounds, which offered stunning views and a great setup with a raised stage for the DJ. The catering and bartending staff were friendly and professional, and the food was delicious—we received many compliments, which is not always common with wedding food. We upgraded the chairs and napkins, but all of the venue-provided linens, tables, and furnishings were high quality. Lauren and her team consistently went above and beyond. Whether it was printing Evan’s vows and pasting them into his vow book on the morning of the wedding, providing ideas for kids’ table activities, or sending detailed instructions to help our friend become ordained so he could officiate our ceremony, every request was handled with care and enthusiasm. Our guests repeatedly commented on how beautiful, organized, and seamless the wedding felt. Many told us how welcomed and well hosted they felt throughout the weekend, which was incredibly important to us.  Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, but thanks to Lauren and the Blush Weddings team, we were able to relax and fully enjoy the experience. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in Hawaii.
